Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union This CU is the worst

This CU is the worst. They lost a cashiers check and we had to call the bank it was deposited through (they don't have any branches near us) and the bank that issued the check. They had the check in their lockbox the whole time. It's been since 7/8 and it's still not resolved. We might have to wait 90 days for the check to void before we can get a new one.

Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union I got 2.9 checks from PSECU Visa Dept, but they're having trouble sending them out

I got 2.9 checks from PSECU Visa Dept, but they're having trouble sending them out. Lots of them got sent back 'cause they went to the wrong address. Can you believe it? They put my name and checking account on the checks and sent them to the WRONG place. Now they want me to sign a paper to extend a stop payment and say I won't hold them responsible if someone else uses the checks. PSECU used to be better before the new President George R. took over. After almost 50 years, I'm thinking of closing my accounts, paying off my loans, and going with USAA full time. I wish the new President cared more about the customers instead of just lining his own pockets.

Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union This credit union is the worst ever!

This credit union is the worst ever! I had a terrible experience on 12.30.2021, a Thursday business day. I couldn't log in to my account because my passwords didn't work. After trying five times, I finally got in. But there was no customer service available on chat. Why not have humans available on a business day? And when I tried calling, no one answered. What's up with that? I want to move my investment to my bank, so send me the form and directions. And I want your policy in writing on how to terminate my PSECU account. Your lack of access and customer service is unacceptable. If I don't hear from you in a week, I'm going to the National Bureau of Credit Unions. I've asked for these instructions before, but your system doesn't even have a send button.

Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union My man got sick outta nowhere and lost his job

My man got sick outta nowhere and lost his job. We lost more than half our money and had big bills from the doc and lawyer. We both had accounts with PSECU and loans too. I called them up right away to see if we could change the loans but they said no way, no how. They said I couldn't get approved or refinanced. I had to go into a program to help with the debt but PSECU wouldn't work with me. They even sued me. We worked it out in court and I paid them everything I owed. But then they said I was abusing my account and still owed them $400. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. They don't give a hoot about their members.

Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union PSECU was great before, but now it's not so good

PSECU was great before, but now it's not so good. The people who help you used to be nice, but not anymore. My card that I use to get money from my bank account is expiring on 12/31/22. There's a big red thing on their website that just came up in DECEMBER that says they're having trouble with new cards. I called customer service and waited for 20 minutes. Someone finally answered, but then the phone stopped working. I called again and waited for 25 more minutes. I waited for 45 minutes. A lady named Joyce called me back. I asked what I could do about my card. She said I was out of luck. She said I should get cash before the end of the month, but she was just repeating what she heard. She said it was November, but the red thing only came up in DECEMBER. PSECU doesn't care that they're leaving people with no way to get money. They don't care that their cards won't work if they expire. And I waited 45 minutes for someone who didn't care and couldn't help. It's not okay to make people drive far away to put money in their account and not be able to get money out.

Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union Be careful when dealing with PSECU!

Be careful when dealing with PSECU! My husband passed away from covid in January, but I kept making payments on time through our shared online portal. Suddenly, PSECU shut down the portal without warning, saying a dead guy can't make payments. I called and asked why they did that when payments were being made on time. They made me create a new account under my name, but since the truck was only in my husband's name, I applied for a loan. It took a month of back and forth with my accountant, but they finally called me on a Monday to say I was declined, even though I made enough income. They asked if someone could co-sign for me. But on Thursday, without warning, they repossessed my truck! I was shocked because I had been talking to them almost every day for over a month. We also had a credit card together, but they tried to tell me my husband was the primary cardholder, which I knew was not true. I am still fighting to see that online. I call every month to make payments so I don't get a 30-day late. My husband was a long-time member, but PSECU's behavior was a total disgrace. The truck payment was not even 90 days late, but they wouldn't let me make payments. There was no reason to repossess it or to not call me. After all the waiting on the phone for 2 hours, multiple calls, and trying to get this resolved, I would never recommend PSECU to anyone. They are the most unsupportive institution I have ever dealt with.

Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union In December , my son lost his PSECU debit card

In December , my son lost his PSECU debit card. Someone found it and used it to deposit a check and make charges of over $5,000. We reported the incident to PSECU, but they couldn't determine who made the charges. They told us we had to pay the money back. On February 11, 2022, PSECU called me and asked me to make payment arrangements. I said I would call back. When I called back on February 14, I was asked to pick a day to make the first payment. I chose the 27th and was told to call back then. The next day, February 15, PSECU took $5,609.88 from my account without my permission. I want the money back so we can follow through with the payment arrangements. I've been a member of PSECU for 40 years and I'm disappointed that this hasn't been resolved. I want to talk to someone at the managerial level to resolve this.

A most horrible credit union. The worst I have dealt with! There is no customer service at all on 12.30.2021, a Thursday business day. My vaulted passwords don't work. I wanted to log in and see my account. My vaulted passwords did not work until I entered them 5 different times. You should require humans in your chat service on a Thursday business day. WOW? You don't answer the phone. What is the deal with this? Send me the form and directions I need to move my little investment from your credit union to my bank and I want your policy in writing on terminating my PSECU account. Your lack of access and zero customer service does not work for me. If I don't hear from you in a week, I am taking this to the National Bureau of Credit Unions. I have asked for these instructions multiple times in the past already. Your system here doesn't even have a send button

Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union I bought a car from a dealership in Nashville and paid with a check from PSECU for $49,000

I bought a car from a dealership in Nashville and paid with a check from PSECU for $49,000. The dealership didn't send the paperwork, so PSECU returned the check. I sent a copy of the Bill of Sale and PSECU reissued the check electronically. But PSECU hasn't shown that the check was deposited, even though the dealership says it was. The dealership released the title to the DMV with PSECU as the lien holder, but PSECU won't release the title so I can trade the car. I've contacted both the dealership and PSECU multiple times, but they won't help me. I want PSECU to release the title so I can trade the car, but they won't. I suggested adding the loan to my account and holding the trade money until they figure out who's at fault, but PSECU refused. I also suggested stopping payment on the check, but PSECU refused that too.

PSECU falsely reported my account as a charge off, despite recieving $2,705 in payments. The company refuses to set up a payment agreement, provide statements, or update the information to the credit bureaus.I have contacted this company regarding this issue from 2019 to 2021. The company will accept payment, but not report it to the credit bureaus. This false reporting has already cost me almost $50,000 in lost wages.

Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union Would not accept me refinancing my car through them due to my current immigration status

Would not accept me refinancing my car through them due to my current immigration status. There's a large backlog and I sent them my supporting paper work explaining and showing that I have extended stay. I opted for a 3 year refinance to bring my car under PSECU, they are rejecting this due to my status, event though I have a personal loan with them that is going to end far later than when the car loan would be completed by. This has been my bank for 5 years and I already have 2x loans with them and all my money goes through here. I have been a very loyal customer.

I made a mobile check deposit of $1250 to my PSECU account on 9/22 and on 11/2 that money got taken out of my account for a supposedly double deposit. On 11/8 I contacted PSECU to inquire about the situation and was told that the check was deposited into a PNC bank account. I do not own a *** bank account and only deposited it to my PSECU account. On 11/9 I contacted the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities to get everything sorted out and was told that I would have to file two separate complaints, which I have already filed a complaint to *** bank because someone illegally deposited my check into their account.

Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union I submitted my mortgage to be paid via PSECU's bill payer on 8/3 for $1750 to ***

I submitted my mortgage to be paid via PSECU's bill payer on 8/3 for $1750 to ***. That went through fine and today I found $0 in my account, as ANOTHER mortgage payment of $1750 showed as pending. In bill pay, I could see ANOTHER one scheduled for 8/18! I contacted PSECU at 9:04 and was told that was the day they upgraded website, so something went awry in scheduling weekly mortgage pmts. I said OK, but I want the money back in my account, and they can resolve with ***. PSECU rep said OK, and she'd call me within a few hours. That call was 36 minutes. I never received a return call, so I called PSECU at 4:37 and was disconnected after 11 minutes. I called again at 4:50 & was disconnected after 20 minutes. I called again at 5:21 and spoke to manager *** who said he'd research. It is egregious that I do not yet have my $1750 reimbursed, nor any sort of customer service response initiated by PSECU. I have been their customer since the 80s.

Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union I obtained a loan borrowing against one of my vehicles

I obtained a loan borrowing against one of my vehicles. When I did this they failed to inform me that there would be an 86 dollar PennDOT fee that I would be responsible for. After finding out about the fee there was a form with the PennDOT form that had to be filed. I could fill out that giving them permission to debit the fee out of my account. I completed the form and gave them permission to debit the money. I then received a nasty letter from them telling me I did not include the fee with the form. Upon calling them about this I was told that I did not have enough funds in my account to cover the fee. I questioned why the letter did not reflect the facts instead indicating something different. I was not provided answer. I also questioned why I was not contacted by phone instead of receiving a nasty letter telling me I was in violation of the terms of the loan. I was told that they have a lot of members and cannot call everyone, but someone had time to type this letter.

Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union On February 20, 2022, I was food shopping and like I always do I tried to pay using my debit/check card

On February 20, 2022, I was food shopping and like I always do I tried to pay using my debit/check card. There is $1,144.00 in my checking account. For some strange reason the payment was declined. I went home and and sent a message to the credit union asking them to release my funds. For some reason they have put a freeze on my checking account. I have over one thousand dollars in my checking account and they won't allow me to access my own money. I tried to purchase numerous items online and every transaction was declined. I have messaged them numerous times at their website and they refuse to release my funds. I don't know what else I can do. This credit union has over one thousand dollars of mine which they won't allow me to access. This is not their money. This is my money. I will take legal action if I have to to get my money. After I get my money, and one way or another I will get my money, I will wait for all the checks I have written to be cashed. Then I will cancel this checking account and my membership to this awful credit union. But I need to get my $1,144.00 first. Please help me get my money.

Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union I purchased a van from PSECU in 2013 adding life and disability insurance

I purchased a van from PSECU in 2013 adding life and disability insurance. My maturity date was to be Oct. 9, 2020. Back in April I questioned why my balance was still so high if I was to pay it off in October. At first several people said they would get back with me and never did. Now the problem I'm seeing now is that the pay the payments were being processed, my payments were being credited to my account, which was $218.43 bi-weekly then they would add the cost of the insurance. I've had this insurance in the past but never dealt with such a situation. I asked them why they just didn't increase my payments. I was told it could have been technical difficulty in the way they had to calculate it. Also I did not miss any of my payments. Also now PSECU don't offer this insurance any longer and they can not or will not tell me why. The insurance was through ***. I did sign the paperwork but I know for a fact it wasn't explained in a manner that I would not have followed through on this agreement. The balance I am to pay is $4,750.09. I never experienced this before through PSECU and having the the same exact insurance.

Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union PSECU has honored and processed ACH transactions with a merchant that I was doing business with since February

PSECU has honored and processed ACH transactions with a merchant that I was doing business with since February . PSECU accepted the verification process of the merchant and approved the withdraw and deposit of funds to the merchant. PSECU changed their policy with this merchant and deleted my account information with the merchant which created a overdraft with the merchant in question. I have no other financial institutions linked to this merchant and the merchant is requesting for me to settle my account or there will be financial penalties. PSECU gave no notification of the change of policy for this merchant and did not notify me in a reasonable time period for me to make other financial arrangements. PSECU acted without provocation, notification and complete discrimination regarding this matter. There has been no written correspondence from PSECU supporting this policy change. At this time it is not known if PSECU is being completely forthcoming for their denial of my business transactions with this merchant. I have no other financial institutions linked with this merchant at this time and my income is in a PSECU account unable to transfer to this merchant.

Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union I have been a PSECU member for numerous years

I have been a PSECU member for numerous years. Around April my issues with PSECU started. I send them two checks every month (auto loan/*** payment). My checks are placed in the U.S. mail and numerous times I made the 50 mile drive myself to hand deliver my payment. (also electronic banking thru *** Bank. PSECU staff would take my checks that were written for my auto and *** loan and they would place them in my shares account instead of paying them. I called them on numerous occasions asking them why they were not my paying bills with these checks and instead placing them in a separate account. This has caused me alot frustration, anxiety, money in late fees that should have never been applied.(OH YESSSS! My credit has taken a beating). I have been constantly hung up by their staff. It is so bad that I bought a truck though *** finance just to get away from PSECU. I have been denied credit cards though 2 banks due PSECU and their inability to perform a simple task (how hard is it, 2 checks for 2 bills). Also, a staff member at another bank has had the same issue with PSECU. Member #*** has been mistreated and they will never admit any wrong doings. My checks from *** Bank do not lie. I always have enough money in my account to pay auto and *** payments.

Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union I own a 2016 ***

I own a 2016 ***. A few months back right at the start of the pandemic, the vehicle was repossessed and I paid everything to get the vehicle back but the bank had already transferred the title to their name. Now almost two months later they called me to tell me that I could pick the vehicle up on Monday July 6th and then I need it to meet them at their notary. I expressed to them that my license is currently suspended and will be reinstated on August 5th so I will be having somebody come with me to drive the vehicle. Today they called me to tell me that because my registration expired there is no way possible for me to get my vehicle until my license is valid again. From what I read online it is completely legal to purchase a vehicle with a suspended license and have a registration in my name so I'm not sure what the issue is here. I asked the girl I've been working with for her supervisor's extensions and names and she gave me a quite an issue about providing me with the information until I told her I'd be contacting the ComplaintsBoard.com. I've been paying insurance for this vehicle the entire time as per instructed by my lien holder PSECU. I understand I cannot drive my vehicle however I need to have the vehicle to get my ignition interlock installed so that I can drive when my license is reinstated. Can you please help me with this issue. at first the bank didn't even want to give me the option of paying to get my vehicle back and now I've given them over $6,000 to get my vehicle back and keep getting the run around.
