Unsatisfactory Service and Miscommunication from Onecom Internet Provider
So, I recently switched to Onecom for my internet service and it's been a bit of a chaotic experience for me. I had to go through several phone calls that were pressurizing in nature just to agree to the switch. Afterwards, I received a letter from what I had thought was my old provider stating that they were going to charge me nearly ?35 for my internet to continue. I contacted Onecom to clarify the situation and they said that I was also having the internet with them. However, they never mentioned during the phone calls that they were not giving me the complete change over. I had simply assumed that they were. They told me several times that they were going to save me money but unfortunately that hasn't happened yet.
On top of that, they failed to inform me about the details of the contract until I received a letter about it. I have requested them to listen to my phone calls but all I get is that they are "looking into it". This entire situation is causing me a lot of stress, particularly because my husband is currently battling cancer. I am really worried about it and if it doesn't get resolved soon, I am considering canceling my D. Debit and letting them take me to court. I want people to know about my experience with Onecom.
If they can resolve these issues, I will update my review accordingly. But for now, I am not satisfied with their service.
Unreliable and Dishonest: My Terrible Experience with Onecom
So, I gotta say, Onecom really let me down. They called me up out of nowhere with this amazing offer which I should have been suspicious about from the get-go. But I was naive, I told them my budget and what I was looking for, and they said they could sort it all out for me at a price I could manage.
Well, let me tell you, they didn't stick to that price for even a second. They manipulated me into signing a contract with them, all the while making me think I was getting a great deal. They even recorded our conversations without letting me know - shady, right?
To make matters worse, they promised me all sorts of things that they couldn't deliver on. And now I'm stuck paying so much more than I ever agreed to. And don't even get me started on their customer service. They never give you a straight answer, always deflecting and dodging your questions.
Honestly, I wouldn't trust this company as far as I could throw them. I've complained to Ofcom about them, and even though I'm pretty sure I'll win, it's such a hassle to deal with this dishonest bunch. Please, people, save yourselves the trouble and avoid Onecom like the plague.
Oh, and you just know they're gonna send me some lame "sorry you're unhappy, email us" response. They've been no help to me whatsoever.
Scam Alert: My Experience with Onecom's Misleading Sales Tactics
Be Careful when you've got to deal with Onecom, or else you might get scammed! One day, I got a call from this company - it was a cold call, actually - and the representative on the phone told me that they could offer me new mobile phones and a reduced monthly bill. I listened to their pitch, and it seemed like a good deal. The only thing that didn't sound right was that despite the offer being slightly higher than our previous deal, the representative said we would receive a ?70 discount every month for a certain period. I thought that was reasonable as it promised a decent reduction. The representative explained everything in detail, or so I thought. It wasn't until later that I discovered that the ?70 discount was only for a limited time period. The problem was after the discount period, I had to pay much more for the next two entire years! And, there was no way out! I quickly asked whether the discount will continue beyond that time, but they gave me a vague answer. They even added that I could review our contract in 24 months and potentially receive additional savings in the future. In hindsight, that was classic mis-selling tactics, and it was very misleading. What makes matters worse is that they didn't provide me with any written contract to read or sign, which is a huge red flag for any service provider. So, I doubt any of those five-star reviews on this site are authentic.
False Debt Claims, Threats and Wasted Time - Beware of Onecom!
NO stars! I mean, seriously, this company is a joke. We were with Truetelecom and when our contract was ending in December 2017 they told us they were going out of business. So, we had to switch to TalkTalk. But then, we started getting invoices from Onecom. We called and wrote to explain the situation and dispute the debt, but they didn't listen. The invoices kept coming and then the phone calls started.
It's been a year of them threatening us and wasting our time, but finally we got an "invoice" that had a completely wrong address. It was actually a credit note for the fake debt. The email that came with it was useless, it didn't even have an apology or explanation. It made reference to the fake invoice as if it was a monthly payment.
This company is terrible. Their Trustpilot rating is a complete joke. I think Trustpilot is biased and their reviews are politically motivated to help the companies that finance them...
Utterly useless!
Onecom Review: Terrible Customer Service and Billing Issues Lead to Frustration and Injustice
They are not the best company I have ever dealt with, which is an understatement. So, in December, I got a call from a person who was very determined to sell me Onecom's services. They told me that I was no longer under contract with EE and that they could greatly decrease my bill. I had told them multiple times that I wasn't out of contract, but they kept insisting that I was. After a few minutes, I decided to go with their offer since they were so insistent and promised that I was, in fact, out of contract.
Fast forward to April, and I got a call from EE, telling me that I'd been paying two bills since December. They refunded the money that I shouldn't have paid, and I tried to get in touch with Onecom to cancel. I sent them emails and even tried calling them, but there was no response. When I finally got through to someone in July, they were unbelievably rude and obnoxious. They refused to give me back my phone line, which caused me to lose internet access. After a couple of unpleasant conversations with their customer support team, they finally told me that if I wanted to cancel my contract, I would have to pay them ?300.
It's now October, and I am still without the internet, and to make things worse, they went ahead and reinstated my DD without my permission. I am now stuck with them until my contract runs out, which is not what I had in mind when I signed up for their services. However, I have decided to fight this injustice and have contacted the ombudsman to help me. It's been a trying experience, and if you want to avoid the headache, I would advise that you stay away from Onecom.
Onecom Review: Disappointing Customer Service & Hidden Fees
Been using Onecom for around a year and a half now, and honestly, I'm feeling pretty frustrated with the service I've received so far. From the get-go, I felt like what they were offering me was cloudy and unclear - almost as if they were trying to pull wool over my eyes. The promises they made never really came to fruition, which started to make me think it was all just a ploy to try and make a quick buck.
To make matters worse, they kept trying to enforce a contract on me that was just full of unnecessary jargon and fees. I even asked if my wife could be added to the account, and they initially raised some flimsy excuse about it being a credit risk or something - which just seemed strange, as we've both got good credit scores!
Then there were all the occasions when I'd use calls and texts that were meant to be free, only to be hit with tiny charges on my invoice - which honestly wasn't a huge amount of money each time, but it was enough to annoy me and make me question what was going on behind the scenes. So I chased them up, hoping to get some clarity on why this was happening - but nothing seemed to change.
To top it all off, after around 17 months of being with them, I suddenly realized that the monthly credit I was supposed to be getting from Vodafone had just stopped. With almost two years still left on my contract, I felt like I was getting a seriously raw deal. To be fair, I do remember being told about this part of the contract at the time - but the salesperson who explained it to me never mentioned that it would ever stop. She just kept talking about the net monthly cost as if it would be like that forever.
In the end, I had to negotiate with them to try and get the best deal I could - but it's still way more expensive than what I would have been happy with if they'd been up front about all of this from the beginning. All in all, I'm pretty disappointed with Onecom and the way I've been treated as a customer.
Beware of Onecom: A Complete Mess with Terrible Customer Service and Hidden Fees
I gotta tell you, stay away from Onecom for your phone needs. I was approached by them while I was with Vodafone, and got a free 10 pound contract. They made it seem like it was no problem to leave at any time, but when I tried, I was hit with an exit fee and had to upgrade my Vodafone contract with them, which was just a hassle. And to make matters worse, when I signed up for the contract, they said I had insurance, but when my phone screen cracked after 9 months, they suddenly realized they "forgot" to sort it out and left me with a bill I couldn't afford! Now, I'm struggling to insure my phone because it's been too long since I opened the contract. All they ever say is "sorry", but that doesn't fix anything. They never help or compensate you for anything, and the customer service agents are always argumentative. Even the complaints manager never returns my calls! On top of all of this, they charged me over 100 pounds for a courtesy phone that had no protection and then broke. They didn't even have insurance for that phone! It's just a complete mess, and the customers always lose out. I'm counting the days until my contract is up and I can leave. This company is just a shambles, and they don't even care about their customers at all. Don't say I didn't warn you.
Onecom Contract Review: Sneaky Tactics and Hidden Costs to Watch Out For
Hey guys, I just wanted to share my experience with Onecom. If you're thinking of getting a contract with them, I urge you to read this review before making any decisions.
First of all, I want to warn you that this is not a business-to-consumer contract, but a business-to-business one. This means there is NO cooling off period, and they have much less obligation to inform you about their sneaky tactics. So, be careful!
Onecom will promise you a very low amount of ?7.00 per month for a phone, but when they give you the contract, it will say you have to pay ?7.00 per month for 17 months and then ?55.00 per month until month 36. They will tell you that you will benefit from "further reductions" at month 17, but be careful, this does not mean your bill will be less than ?7.00. It just means it will be less than ?55.00 (so it could be ?54.00!).
Another important thing to understand is that you will be charged the full amount of the contract each month (i.e. ?55.00 in the example above), and then Onecom will issue a refund of ?48.00 to balance it out. But, they will add VAT, so they will charge you ?55.00+VAT = ?66.00. They will not refund any VAT, so you will end up paying ?18.00 instead of the ?7.00 they originally promised. Always keep this in mind!
I highly recommend getting any promises they make to you regarding the tariff in writing because they promise you all sorts of things that aren't in the final contract. And, ensure that when they go through the contract with you at the point of signing, everything they promised you is included in the tariff. Onecom told me all sorts of things through emails, but because they didn't confirm it at the final point of signing, they said it's not included. Don't let them fool you!
Another thing to note is that the inflation increase will be on the FULL price of the contract (i.e. ?55.00 + the increase), not just on the discounted amount. Moreover, do not let Onecom pressure you into signing the deal the same day because the deal will not expire. And if they promise you free wi-fi devices, don't believe it. They are 'free' for a period and then they will charge you through the nose for them. Also, they don't work very well. Just use the hotspot on your phone if you must.
These are all the tricks that I can think of at present. Keep an eye out for them if you feel tempted to sign up with Onecom because the reality is very different from the promise!
Avoid OneCom at all costs - A first-hand account of the company's fraudulence and dishonesty
These reviews are all fakes. If you scroll enough on Trust Pilot, you'll even find ex-employees admitting to the dishonesty! It's ridiculous, really - these scam artists are getting away with so much fraudulence. I had the misfortune of signing a contract with them and it was a complete nightmare. For anyone else who's been scammed like I was, go on OneCom's website and locate the OFcom terms and conditions C8 document. According to the document, they are meant to disclose what your termination rights are, the procedures and the early termination fee fee (mine is ?*** LOL). To prevent others from going through the same horror, please do report them to CISAS, trading standards, and the BBC, since these are the only people who can take action and cancel your contract. Trust me, these guys are the worst; they mis-sell, distract you on the call, tell you terms and conditions in conversation, and it is almost impossible to discern they're trying to read the T&Cs out to you. They don't at any point imply what you're signing is a contract, and the document says it's an order form, not a contract. They never mention it is a legally binding contract - and then they try to bind you with the fact that you've signed the document on the phone! They whispered something about there being "no cooling-off period” in the middle of the conversation and asked you a question straight after, so you wouldn't retain what was said. Can you imagine? They claim some add-ons are free, like entertainment packages, but then you end up paying 75 pounds each for those "free" add-ons. This behaviour breaches terms and conditions and trading standards; a product can't be advertised as free when it isn't! Needless to say, I'm disappointed and fed up. I'll not rest until this company has been taken to the ground. A Facebook group called Onecom problems and mis-selling was created, and hundreds of people were ousting how they were scammed by the terrible people at OneCom. Post your reviews wherever you can - in Facebook groups in your area and groups for tradespeople. Get people sharing and cause a scene so they cannot continue to deceive self-employed tradespeople. The amount of time and stress, sleepless nights I had during this process was excruciating!
Stay Away from OneCom: Misleading Business Contracts and Hidden Fees
This company, OneCom, ain't worth your time or money. They called me and talked me into switching to their business tariff for my mobile, but they didn't tell me that B2B contracts don't offer the same rights as a private buyer. I agreed to the plan after over thirty minutes of hard sell, but changed my mind within the 14 day cool off period (or so I thought), only to learn there's no cooling off period for business customers. So now I'm stuck with a bad contract for at least 2 years, if not longer.
Here's the deal: they offer you an expensive phone tariff for ?44.81 per month, but then they give you a monthly discount of ?35, so the total plan price seems okay at ?9.81. But beware, they don't tell you that you have to pay VAT on the full amount, so your actual monthly cost will be ?18.77, double what you were quoted. The contract is for 3 years, but they told me it was only 2 years over the phone, and the discount is only for 17 months. If you don't call them for a tariff review, the price bounces up to the full expensive price for the remaining 18 months. And if you do call them for a tariff review, you may be signing up to another 2 years!
So my advice is to steer clear of OneCom. If you're considering signing up with them, do your homework first, especially if you're a business customer. Always look at the one star reviews on review sites, like Trust Pilot, where OneCom has lots of disturbing reviews. And don't be as stupid as I was; read the fine print carefully before signing a contract.
I received a deadlock letter from OneCom, which tells me I can take this matter to Ofcom/CISAS. OneCom uses CISAS instead of Ofcom, so you can call them at ***2814 to lodge your complaint.
Onecom Complaints 10
Poor Customer Service and Communication from Onecom
I've been with Onecom (onecom.co.uk) for some time now and have had quite a few issues with their service. I was previously with tru telecom for almost two years, paying line rental with no calls as they were unable to sort out my number. Instead, I had to rely on Ezy talk for my calls. I've been trying to transfer my calls for the past 20 months, but Onecom has been unresponsive to my emails and calls.
Recently, my husband rang up to inquire about broadband services and we found out that we are tied into a three-year contract. However, we have yet to hear the call log and we're not entirely sure if my husband agreed to it. It's frustrating that they don't respond to emails and have stopped trying to sort out our call transfer.
In desperation, we contacted the os communication (ombudsman for tru) and were informed that unless there is an official complaint logged, they can't help. We have finally managed to log a complaint and Onecom is now looking at all my emails and calls to the company.
It's ironic that Onecom is supposed to be a communication company, but they don't seem to know how to communicate properly. Despite all these issues, I'm still with them, hoping they'll improve. However, I can't recommend them at this point.
Unpleasant experience with Onecom - beware of verbal agreements
I had a bad experience with Onecom. It's been five long months since I first spoke to them about possibly moving over to their services, and I still haven't received a copy of the legal agreement they made with me over the phone. They seem to think that just because we talked about it, it's legally binding! To make matters worse, they refuse to put anything in writing about it, despite the fact that they insist we are now bound to it.
My advice to anyone thinking about using Onecom is to never agree to anything over the phone. Always ask them to confirm it in writing, even if it's just via email. In my case, they messed up our contracts, and now we're paying an extra ?100 per month compared to what we were paying with EE. Onecom's deals might seem too good to be true, and unfortunately, they are. My experience dealing with Kylie Bowering, one of their representatives, was particularly unpleasant. She promised us the world to get the sale, but once we were signed up, she was nowhere to be found.
I urge everyone to read reviews before agreeing to anything with Onecom. Don't make the same mistake I did.
Onecom.co.uk: My Nightmare Telecom Provider - Beware of Hidden Contract Terms and Cancellation Fees!
This company called Onecom, or onecom.co.uk, is my worst nightmare. My other half was talked into swapping providers by a sly salesperson who spun tales of freedom with no ties. She thought it would be easy to terminate the contract whenever she felt like it, with no nagging fees attached. Sadly, this did not turn out to be true. After receiving several puffed-up invoices, she tried to leave, only to be sent packing to a small-print swamped document called Terms and Conditions. It said that the minimum contract duration was 36 months. Can you imagine that? 36 months of being stuck, like a donkey on a leash.
Then the cherry on top of the cake was to find out the cancellation fee was something like ?1000. Like anyone can afford that. It's completely outrageous! So now the situation continues and my bank balance is getting hurt more than ever before. If you're like me and don't want to see your hard-earned pennies vanish into the ether, don't ever go near Onecom. Don't make the same bonehead move my other half did. Don't fall for their propaganda.
My honest advice? Spread the word far and wide, like a supermarket tabloid. Report them to Ofcom if you've got the same displeasure running through your veins. Let's make some noise together and maybe, just maybe, things might change. In the meantime, I wouldn't even give them one lousy star. Negative one's more like it.
Is Onecom Legit?
Onecom earns a trustworthiness rating of 47%
Double-checking is the best solution in this case.
Exercise caution when using onecom.co.uk as it may have lower quality content or a poor user experience, leading to fewer visitors and lower traffic.
Onecom protects their ownership data, a common and legal practice. However, from our perspective, this lack of transparency can impede trust and accountability, which are essential for establishing a credible and respected business entity.
Customers should be cautious when purchasing products from this company, as scammers often use similar items to defraud unsuspecting individuals.
We found that the website Onecom is based in a high-risk country and appears to be selling well-known brands at unusually low prices. This could be a sign of potential fraud or counterfeit products.
However ComplaintsBoard has detected that:
- A long registered date for onecom.co.uk can be seen as a positive aspect for Onecom as it indicates a commitment to maintaining the website and its domain name for a long period of time. It also suggests that the company is organized and has taken steps to secure its online presence.
- The age of Onecom's domain suggests that they have had sufficient time to establish a reputation as a reliable source of information and services. This can provide reassurance to potential customers seeking quality products or services.
- Onecom.co.uk has a valid SSL certificate, while Scammers can obtain a valid SSL certificate by using fake information or by using a stolen or hijacked domain. In some cases, they may even use a certificate issued to another legitimate website.
- Several positive reviews for Onecom have been found on various review sites. While this may be a good sign, it is important to approach these reviews with caution and consider the possibility of fake or biased reviews.
Stay Away from Onecom: Hidden Charges and Poor Communication
So, I signed up with these guys from Onecom and boy, oh boy, was that a mistake. I've been with BT for thirty-five years and thought it was time for a change. Retirement means pinching pennies wherever possible so the prospect of a good deal had me signing up without doing adequate research (lesson learnt!).
First things first, this company charges extra for mobile calls which they never disclosed to me before signing. Unlimited calls my foot! The entire point of signing with them was to save some cash but now they're just bleeding me dry with hidden charges. I don't even know what these 'other calls' they charge for are. Ain't that just typical of these sneaky companies?
And what's worse? I never get my bill in the post -which I don't really mind - but I still get charged for its delivery via email. That's such a ridiculous thing to have to pay for, don't you agree? And speaking of communication, this lot has never once called me. It's either emails or nothing at all.
To top it all off, I've checked my bills and realized I'm paying way more than I ever did with BT! Can you imagine that? I'm even considering bringing Trading Standards into this mess, that's how bad it is. I feel like I've been scammed and I'm not going to let it slide.
Thankfully, I didn't switch my broadband to them because I'd probably be singing a different tune if I did. In conclusion, I would highly recommend staying away from Onecom - unless you enjoy being shafted, in which case, go ahead!
Onecom Review: Shady Business Practices and Hidden Costs – Stay Away!
So I got a call outta nowhere from these Onecom fellas. Normally I would've just hung up and moved on with my life, but I had some problems with my old supplier and was feeling a bit desperate, ya know? Unfortunately, things went south right from the get-go. I tried to cancel the deal, but they said I was committed to a 3 year contract and would have to pay the entire period if I backed out! And it only got worse from there.
For starters, I ain't received a single bill that matched the agreed-upon price. There's always some reason why it's higher, like they "forgot" to take the direct debit and charged me a whopping ?15 extra just to use another method. This nonsense has been going on for pretty much the whole time I've been stuck with them.
But today, they really outdid themselves. They actually had the gall to disconnect my phone line all because I wouldn't cough up an extra ?15 for the past two months! What kind of business operates like that? Some straight-up shady stuff, if you ask me.
So listen up, folks, don't make the same mistake I did. Don't go with Onecom. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for a provider. I hope my experience can help someone out there make a better choice. Cheers, Iain.
Onecom Review: One Big Headache - My Nightmare Experience with their Services & Customer Service
So, let me tell you about Onecom, or as I like to call them, "one big headache". It all started with a phone call in January. I was minding my own business, when suddenly out of nowhere, I got a cold call from this company. I should have known better, but I was foolishly persuaded to switch over my phone line to them. Little did I know the chaos that would follow.
Despite not giving them the go ahead, Onecom went ahead and took over our line anyway. We had to endure countless phone calls just to get them to admit that they made a mistake. Finally, they confessed that they had taken the line in error. But that wasn't the end of it.
We wanted our line back with BT, but three attempts by BT to retake the line were cancelled. Onecom explained to us that BT kept requesting the wrong thing. It seemed like we were stuck between a rock and a hard place.
To make matters worse, after being cut off by Onecom, we still couldn't get back with BT. Onecom told us that we owed them about ?100 because we didn't take the line back. Are you kidding me? I tried my best to get my phone line back, but apparently that wasn't good enough.
I even offered to pay half of the amount just to get my phone line back, but they refused. To add insult to injury, the customer service was terrible. I spoke with Lucy who was incredibly rude and unhelpful. And don't even get me started on Callum. He was supposed to be a manager, but he didn't seem like he knew what he was doing.
On top of all this, they have the audacity to have a strap line that says, "we focus on keeping our customers happy". Well, let me tell you, I am not a happy customer. Overall, my experience with Onecom was a complete nightmare. I would not recommend them to anyone.
Navigating OneCom's Contracts: Read Before Signing Up!
Onecom is a company that offers telecommunication services. They have a reputation for being a bit tricky when it comes to contracts and agreements. It seems like the agreements are always changing, and they always want to pile you with paperwork. It can be overwhelming to try to keep up with it all.
One of the biggest issues with OneCom is that they are always trying to make a profit. This means that they may change the deal that they initially presented to you. They promise a better deal and cheaper rates, but once you sign on the dotted line, things could change. They will do whatever it takes to get as much money as possible out of you.
It's essential that you pay close attention to the paperwork that they present you with. Make sure that everything is in writing and that there are no hidden fees or charges. The cancellation period is only 14 days, so make sure that you act fast if you realize that something is not right.
While OneCom may not be the best option for everyone, they do offer a range of services that can be beneficial. They have a team of experts who work hard to ensure that you have the best possible experience. They offer phone, internet, and mobile services that are designed to meet the needs of consumers.
In conclusion, OneCom is a telecommunications company that is known for being a bit challenging when it comes to contracts and agreements. If you decide to sign up with them, make sure that you read and understand all of the paperwork. It's important to know what you are signing up for and to be aware of any changes that may occur. Despite their reputation, OneCom does offer valuable services, and their team is committed to providing excellent customer service.
Beware of Onecom: False Promises and Unexpected Bills
I wanted to share my experience with Onecom. At first, I was really excited to join them because I was promised some great deals and perks. After signing my contract for ?36 per month, I thought everything was settled. However, after 4 months, I have yet to see a bill at the agreed price.
In addition to the monthly fee, I was given two free perks and a WiFi dongle as part of the enticing offer to switch over from my previous provider. But unfortunately, these "free" items actually cost me the full amount in month one, leaving me with a bill of ?150 plus. As if that wasn't enough, in months 3 and 4, I paid more than double my agreed contract amount and it seems like this will continue until my contract ends.
I tried contacting Onecom for help, but they weren't very helpful at all. They just referred me to their terms and conditions and told me there was nothing they could do. This was really frustrating, and I've noticed that there are many other reviews online with similar complaints.
Overall, I would strongly advise others to avoid Onecom at all costs. It's a shame because I really thought they were a good choice, but now I regret my decision and wish I had gone with another provider.
Stay Away from Onecom: Deceitful Company That Takes Advantage of Small Businesses
Onecom is one of the most deceiving and manipulative companies I have ever encountered in my life. If you think that you can trust them, think again! They will try to lure you with unbelievable offers and promises, but when it comes to payment time, they hit you with huge bills that will make your head spin!
I was looking for a simple mobile phone contract with Onecom, but what I got in return was a total nightmare. The contract I signed for said it would only cost me ?30 a month, but my first bill was over ?300. They don't care about the people they are selling to. They seek out small business owners and independent contractors who are vulnerable and naive to their slimy tactics.
Onecom's contracts have no cooling off period which is something they don't tell you, so if you decide you want out, they will charge you an extortionate amount of money to do so.
When I realised I had been tricked, I tried to get out of the contract. However, Onecom denied any wrongdoing and refused to admit that they misled me. It was a nightmare, and it caused me so much stress and hassle. They didn't care about my situation; all they cared about was making money at my expense.
I was forced to get the regulator called Ofcom and their dispute resolution service known as the Communications and Internet Services Adjudication Scheme (CISAS) involved to help cancel my contract. Thank God, CISAS sided with me, and I was able to get out of the contract. However, Onecom still refused to apologise for their actions, and that left a sour taste in my mouth.
If you're considering doing business with Onecom, my advice to you is to stay far, far away! They are manipulative, deceitful, and don't care about their customers.
Untrustworthy company posing as BT offers broadband and phone deals with hidden agenda - Review of Onecom
So, I got a call yesterday from these guys at Onecom (I think that's what they were called, I'm not sure). At first, I thought it was BT calling me up with some mad offers, but it turns out it wasn't. The person on the phone was telling me all about these great packages that they offer on broadband and phone services, and it seemed like a really good deal - I'd end up saving about ?25 a month! But as I started asking more questions, it became pretty apparent that they weren't actually BT; they were just some kind of middle-man.
Anyway, they said they were going to send me all the details in writing, but then they started asking for my bank details. Like, what the heck? I don't want to be giving out my bank details to some random person on the phone, no way. They said they needed them to send me a mandate, which didn't really make sense to me, but whatever. I told them no way was that going to happen, and then they transferred me to a lady who tried to convince me again. She even said that they could only put money into my account and not take any out, but I still wasn't having it. I let them know real clear that there was no way I was giving them my bank details, and then they said they couldn't send me anything in writing after all.
But looking back now, after reading all the reviews, I'm glad I didn't give them my bank details. Seems like they're not that great of a company after all.
