Stage 2 Pelican whole house filter
Why does the Stage 2 system release carbon sediment into the house faucets? I thought the idea of the filter was to remove debris, not cause it. This has led to the kitchen faucet sprayer in my house to become blocked and caused it to stop working. Is this a common issue with the Pelican State 2 system or why is this happening? Please explain.
Pelican Water Filters
I hate the pelican water filtration system, along with their whole house filters. In fact, the pelican company is nothing but a bunch of fraudsters trying to push you around. I wasn't happy with pelican water technologies, and so instead of asking me how to make things right they threatened me!
I had to go online and read their supposed "reviews" when trying to decide what to buy, and it's nothing more than a scam trying to coax you into buying their products. Don't believe what they say for a minute, because it's biased and you cannot trust them. If you are looking for reputably good water company beware, pelican is not what you should be looking for!
Be careful because pelican water also goes by the name pelican water technologies, also a MLM name, no dobut the owners are involved in a shell game trying to convince you to buy more of their products without realizing it's all the same company!

since i got this system, it has come obsolete, so there is no warranty info, no replacement model. i recently found a leak near the bottom of the cylinder base. called company several times, i got a lot of runaround, leave a number, i will call you back. in the mean time , there's a what look like a salt water mildew stain on the floor of my garage
No Salt Filter System
My husband bought the pelican water softener no salt filter system. it was the natur soft water softner. from day one, our glasses, silverware, pots and pans have white residue deposited on them. the glasses have turned from beautiful crystal clear clean glasses to completely white and you can not see thru the white haze nor do you want to use them. for the price he paid for this ($1300) he should have kept the water softner that he added salt to. how do you get rid of the white deposits using the pelican water softener no salt filter system?
We were moving to Texas and the home we bought had a well with VERY hard water and sulfur odor issues. Professional well testing was done along with a water analysis. No bacteria - very clean water, but very hard water. I have had a liver transplant and am always aware of food and water safety being a retired RN. We called and explained our challenges and asked for their professional opinion on what system would solve our concerns. We ended up spending $2600+ on a system and another $1500 for installation by their recommended installer. It fixed the sulfur odor, I'll give it that. The system looks like a drunk monkey installed it, I have included a photo to show how bad the installation looks. None of the lines are level, there is NO shutoff valve so we can't even bypass the system. It is impossible to run 2 faucets at once or the flow drops to a slow trickle - thank goodness it is only my husband and I. I should also mention that the home inspection reveled that the water pressure was on the high side prior to this system being installed. I called today to see if something could be done. The service person had a very kinda "so what" attitude. No solution or suggestions offered, just "to bad".
Why is this company still in business? I acquired the whole house filtration system over a decade ago and used the replacement media but really never had a problem with the filtering but then never tested it. But then I purchased the water softening system. I was told the it may take 12 months for the scale to disappear since the pipes are actually being cleaned out over that time. Now I am 4 years in and frankly there has been no change whatsoever. Thankfully I have not had experienced damage to my dishwasher etc... but yes I would concur this company is a a scam.
I bought the whole house system charcoal filter and (water softener) yea right about 5 months ago. Had my water tested by an independent water company and the Pelican System is doing nothing to improve our water. So I called and told them this they told me that the (water softener) was not to create soft water only to keep the pipes clean I asked for my money back and Pelican refused. They system is not a good investment. I will try to discourage anyone I can from buying anything from Pelican. Please boycott this company the do nothing for your water or you.
I purchased a Pelican soft water system and every thing has white residue on it including the the coffee pot and coffee maker . This is a poor excuse for a salt less water system and I would never recommend it to anyone.
I follow suit on same issues except after showering I itch the whole night losing many hours of sleep. We spent almost $4000 on our system I don't trust water. I was better off with the salt system, never had this problem, When I shower at other family members homes when visiting I don't experience this awful itching. I am totally discusted with this whole thing! My brand new stainless dishwasher is brown inside, husband spending a fortune in pre-filters which don't work. I feel like I was scammed! Going to contact attorneys to see if there is any retribution in this matter. Very Very Unhappy with this system and my husband changing filters every night which doesn't help one bit! Don't buy from this company, seek our other companies before purchasing water filters!
This is a rip off! I have purchased over $3000 worth of Pelican"water softener"equipment and NOTHING has changed in my home as far as cloudiness, hard water spots, and keeping my appliances free of hard water. Why these people don't send representatives out to first test your water and recommend the best product for your particular area is beyond me. They make you pay for a water tester too. They refer any plumber that past customers have put in their system but they charge a ridiculous amount of money to install it. Now I have to have it repaired because it leaks. Uggg!
I am considering a pelican system, as a replacement for a morton softener that I currently have. I have well water with loads of iron in it. I have to service the resin bed to keep the softener from becoming iron clogged. Have any of the folks complaining serviced the softener resin bed? Can a pelican system be serviced by the owner?
We purchached this Pelican whole house water filter and it is a joke. Just as the other people stated above, there are no difference int the condition of my water. I still have the white residue on my dishes and lime build up as before on my sinks and showers as I had before this VERY expensive Pelican system. I wish I had spent my money on the salt water softners. This is such a rip off. SO BEWARE! You are wasting your money if you buy this Pelican system. These scammers should be stopped from ripping people off!
I purchased a pelican whole house flouride removal system along with a premium whole house water filter system. After using for several months, I started feeling ill. I had my water tested by a national water testing company before and after the filters. It changed the quality of my water minimally. I hardly removed any of the flouride. I tried several things and finally stopped using the pelican system. Now, several months after discontinuing use of the Pelican system, I am beginning to feel better. I feel that Pelican was dishonest in stating that it would remove 1ppm of the flouride from my water system.
I will tell anyone asking, never purchase any products from Pelican. Julie Woodbury
I bought the system about 3 months ago. Had my water tested by an independent water company and the Pelican System is doing nothing to improve our water. I ask for my money back and Pelican refused. They system is not a good investment. I will try to discourage anyone I can from buying anything from Pelican
