I was on the hunt for an A/C that was made right here in America. After some searching, I stumbled upon Perfect Aire. Their manufacturing information stated that it was made in Country side, IL. I was excited to see that, but then I noticed something on the box - it said "CHINA."

Now, I gotta be honest, that kinda threw me off a bit. I mean, I was specifically looking for something made in America, and here I am staring at a box that says China. It's like a little mix-up, you know? But hey, maybe there's a good reason for it. Who am I to judge?

Anyway, I decided to give it a shot and see how this A/C performs. I gotta say, it's been pretty decent so far. It cools the room down nicely, and the air feels fresh. No complaints there. But I can't help but wonder why they would say it's made in America when it's actually made in China. Maybe it's just a small mistake or something.

Overall, I'm satisfied with the performance of this Perfect Aire A/C. It does what it's supposed to do, and that's what matters to me. But if you're specifically looking for an A/C made in America, you might wanna double-check the manufacturing info before making a purchase. Just saying.

I recently purchased a Perfect Aire Mini-Split system and unfortunately, I encountered some issues right out of the box. The Outdoor unit seemed to be defective as there was no refrigerant gas flow sound when I opened the refrigerant valves. Additionally, the fan was not spinning when I tried to commission the system.

I reached out to the manufacturer, Perfect Aire, hoping they would replace the entire Outdoor unit. However, to my disappointment, they refused to do so. Instead, they offered to send me an internal electronic circuit board, suggesting that I find a local HVAC expert to repair it at my own expense. They made no guarantees that this would fix the problem. Alternatively, they proposed that I send them the defective unit so their technicians could troubleshoot it. However, there was no assurance that they would return a functional unit to me based on their own terms.

Needless to say, I was extremely dissatisfied with Perfect Aire's so-called "No-hassle 1-Year Warranty." It was clear that they were not willing to stand behind their product and provide a satisfactory solution. As a result, I strongly advise against purchasing any Perfect Aire products if you wish to avoid unnecessary headaches.

I got this Perfect Air air conditioner as a gift about five years ago. It's been holding up pretty well and does a decent job cooling my 900 sq ft room, even though it faces the sun. My unit is positioned towards the south, so it gets hit with direct afternoon sunlight during those scorching hot hours. Let me tell you, it gets uncomfortably hot in here. But hey, it manages to do an okay job most of the time. It's still a bit noisy, but not as noisy as some other brands I've tried before.

However, when it's sweltering outside and the temperature climbs above 90 degrees, this thing becomes utterly useless. I discovered that running two units simultaneously makes it at least bearable. Just make sure your outlets can handle the load, you know? Unfortunately, my homeowners association only allows portable room air conditioners, otherwise I would have gone for a more powerful one.

One thing I noticed is that there are too many air gaps between the window and the unit. It's like they didn't seal it properly or something. But fear not, I found a solution. If you tape those gaps closed, you can prevent air from leaking in. Also, keeping the doors to the room shut and drawing the curtains helps a lot. Some air conditioners I've had in the past could go as low as 57 degrees, but this one only goes down to 62 degrees.

Now, let's talk about the clip-on parts for the hose attachments. They cheaped out on those, I tell ya. I have to replace them every year because they keep breaking and snapping off. It's really annoying. They're just poorly made, you know? I might just give up and start duct taping them in place. Or, if you happen to have a 3D printer, you can easily make new parts yourself whenever they break. Just make sure to scan the piece before it gets damaged. I'm actually thinking of saving up for a 3D printer because there are so many things I could use it for.

On the bright side, the customer service is fantastic. I've never had any issues with their representatives. However, I do find it a little annoying that you can only order replacement parts through the customer service reps. Most other brands let you order them online. Every time I need to order something, I end up wasting a good 30 minutes trying to do it through the reps. It would have been so much easier if I could just bookmark the item and check out online in less than five minutes like at other places.
