Was denied purchasing a fish by manager. I own an empty fish tank!
When did you purchase a fish for my 5.5 fish tank that I had actually purchased from that Stow store. I was just browsing at the fish when the manager she came and asked me what I was looking for. I said a fish I told her I didn’t need any help that I was just looking but she continued on, what size fish tank do you have? What other fish do you have never been approached like this before this woman came out of the back, intending to be an [censored] to somebody after all, said and done she tells me I can’t purchase any of the fish because my fish tank is too small Wasn’t even allowed to buy a beta from a cup that they’re known for throwing in the trash alive, not even a guppy or a freaking feeder fish! I had to turn and leave because I have no patience for stupid people and I could not afford to lose my temper. But I am super pissed because that is my home town store. I’ve been going to for 25 some years I’ve purchased numerous animals there, not to mention my guinea pig I just got a couple years ago that was covered in mites and ringworm, so now I’m just curious and want to know what the hell I’m supposed to put in my fish tank that I bought from that store which shows on the box neon fish Guppies I do believe black mollies, so what the hell? I’ve tried numerous ways now to get a hold of somebody and I’m getting nowhere. I really didn’t appreciate this young manager trying to belittle me in front of my company and everybody else at that store. I would like to see some actual progress here because they really lost a good customer, I spent a lot of money at that store. It would be basically false advertisement. You can go in the store and buy fish tanks and fish bowls but then what you’re not allowed to buy any fish to go in it? This is the biggest bunch of [censored] I have ever had to deal with.
Recommendation: They don’t care about about the customers, or the pets
Poor Customer Service Experience at Pet Supplies Plus in Burlington, Iowa
Me and my hubby went to the Pet Supplies Plus store in Burlington Iowa yesterday. We bought some stuff and went to the checkout. The employee there was on her phone texting and didn't even notice us. She finished her texting and then realized that we were standing there. We forgot something and my hubby went to get it while I stayed inside to get the rest of what we needed. Tara, the employee, was putting bags of food on the shelf while texting. She looked at us and said "AGAIN? GEESH!" She was not friendly at all and had a bad attitude. We felt very intimidated! If she doesn't like her job, she should find a different one! Sorry! I wanted to tell her that people forget things and we're sorry we interrupted her texting, but I didn't. I have more respect than that! I'm sorry if she was having a bad day, but she shouldn't take it out on customers or bring her personal problems to work!
Amazing Pet Stylist at Pet Supplies Plus South Austin: Devanne
I love Pet Supplies Plus! I go to the South Austin store and always ask for Devanne because she's the best. Devanne takes her time with Choxie and is always gentle with my furry friend. Choxie is getting up there in years, so it's important to me that she's treated well. And Devanne always goes the extra mile to make sure that Choxie looks her best. I always make sure to tip her well because she deserves it!
I've been to a lot of different pet salons over the years, but I've never had a stylist who really listens to me like Devanne does. It seems like at other places, I tell them exactly what I want, and they do what they want instead. With Devanne, she really listens to me and makes sure that Choxie gets the cut that I want.
Overall, I'm really happy with Pet Supplies Plus and especially with Devanne. She's a gem, and I wouldn't take Choxie anywhere else!
Unhappy Experience Buying Guinea Pig at Pet Supplies Plus - Review
I went to petsuppliesplus.com and had a hard experience buying a guinea pig. My kid was so excited to pick one out and we were happy to bring it home. Unfortunately, after one week of having it in our care, the guinea pig contracted an upper respiratory infection and passed away. It was very sad for my kid, who had already named it and was really looking forward to having a new pet.
I took the guinea pig back to the store and asked for a refund. Although they did give me my money back, I could tell they were not too happy about it. I understand that pets are living creatures and they can get sick just like humans. However, it was still a tough and emotional experience for all of us.
Overall, I would hesitate to buy any animals from this store in the future. If you are a pet lover like me, you want to make sure that your furry friend stays healthy and happy at all times. Unfortunately, this was not the case with our guinea pig.
Disappointing experience with Self Dog Bathing Station at Pet Supplies Plus in Shelton, CT - Not Worth It!
If you're thinking about using the Self Dog Bathing Station at Pet Supplies Plus in Shelton, CT, think again! I was pretty excited to try it out when I first saw it - it looked pretty legit. So, I was all in when I got the offer for 5 baths for 40 bucks. But let me tell you, it was not worth it! For starters, the water was barely warm and there was NO conditioner. And, to top it all off, the dryer felt like an industrial-grade cold air blower. When I asked if there was any way to increase the water temperature, I was told that it just wasn't possible. And, to make matters worse, I was not allowed to trim my dog's nails either. Even though I did my best to keep the nail clippings out of the drain catcher, I was still hit with a full $14 charge for using just a bit of tepid water to wash my 9-pound pup.
Honestly, I was pretty disappointed with the whole experience. I'm glad that I was at least able to get a refund, but I still feel like I wasted my money on what turned out to be a pretty disgraceful experience.
Expensive Grooming, Disappointing Outcome: Frustration with Pet Supplies Plus
I started going to Pet Supplies Plus 'cause it's always been good when it comes to taking care of my furry buds. I don't like to leave nothing to chance and that's why I'm always choosing the VIP option with all the extras for them, paying nearly $250 for grooming! My dogs looked so precious when I went to get them, but after leaving the store, I noticed something fishy going on with their skin. I was rubbing their bellies and saw some fleas crawling around. Not just one, but lots of them! I couldn't believe they got fleas after such an expensive grooming day. I checked even closer and saw flea eggs behind their ears and on their head. It was ridiculous that after spending so much money, they still had these pests on their skin. I guess they probably didn't give them a proper wash. I know that fleas are hard to get rid off, but this was way too much. I had to drive 45 minutes to get there in the first place, and not only did it cost a lot of dough, but it was also a waste of time. I felt pretty disappointed since I had to go ahead and give them another bath when I got back home. I could've just done that myself in the first place. My advice is to check your pets before you leave the store, just to make sure everything's alright.
Deceptive Business Practices and Poor Customer Service Experience at Pet Supplies Plus on Black Friday
I recently had an experience with Pet Supplies Plus on Black Friday and let me tell you, it was not a good one. I made an online purchase for two bags of dog food and received confirmation of my purchase. However, when I went to pick up my order, only one bag was available. I asked about the missing bag and was told that it was not in stock, so I asked if I could pick it up later at the Black Friday price. The employee agreed and left a note for the manager.
But the next day, I received an email stating that I was charged the full retail price for the bag I did receive. I called the store and spoke with April, the manager, who said there was nothing she could do for coupons or digital orders. Frustrated, I contacted corporate who said they would "see" if they could get the store to provide the Black Friday price for the bag I did receive, but nothing could be done about the second bag.
As a result, I was charged the original Black Friday price for two bags plus the retail price for the one bag I did receive. And to make matters worse, the staff and corporate showed no empathy or willingness to make things right. It reveals a rather nefarious approach to business and customer service.
Honestly, it's very upsetting. I won't be doing business with this company again. If you want to get what you pay for and support businesses that value their customers, I suggest buying from a local mom and pop store. They will appreciate you and your dollars more than greedy corporations like Pet Supplies Plus.
Pet Supplies Plus Sold Me Two Guinea Pigs with Upper Respiratory Infections - Costing Me Over $1000 in Vet Bills
Last year, I got myself a new furry friend, a guinea pig. He was about 4 months old, and I named him Cookie. Unfortunately, he had some health issues, including a head tilt, a growth defect, and an UPPER RESPIRATORY INFECTION, which is deadly! Poor Cookie was having trouble breathing, and we had to take him to the emergency vet. It was terrible, and we ended up paying $1000 and still paying for it. To our dismay, the next day Cookie passed away. It was heartbreaking, but I didn't blame it on Pet Supplies Plus.
Despite the sad outcome with Cookie, I decided to get another guinea pig, which I named Patches. At first, he sneezed, but I didn't think much of it. A short time later, though, I noticed that he had an eye infection. I didn't think much of it at the time and just attributed it to a stray eyelash or something. I started treating it with home remedies. Then, I noticed that Patches started wheezing and coughing. I told my dad, and we took him to the vet. It turned out that he had an UPPER RESPIRATORY INFECTION too! Fortunately, we caught it early, and he was able to recover. However, the treatment was not cheap. We ended up spending nearly $200 on it and $400 on x-rays. I was devastated, and I was starting to blame Pet Supplies Plus for having sold us an ill guinea pig. I mean, twice with the same problem? That just seemed unacceptable to me!
I'm currently on the veterinary track at my high school, and I aim to be an exotic veterinarian to help people in situations like this. I will never shop at Pet Supplies Plus again. I'd rather get my food from Walmart because they have better health standards for their animals. What's more, the contract that Pet Supplies Plus makes you sign says that "Pet Supplies Plus is not responsible for vet bills." I mean, come on! If it wasn't for that, I would have demanded that they pay for the vet bills because let's face it: guinea pig vets are expensive!
Pet Supplies Plus: Unreliable, Spammy, and Untrustworthy - A Warning to Pet Owners
I recently stumbled upon Pet Supplies Plus while looking for some new treats for my beloved furry friend. Although I initially had high hopes for this website, my encounters turned out to be quite disheartening.
To my surprise, I soon noticed several spelling and grammar errors that seemed to go unchecked - something a common human being may fall prey to. Despite this, I was willing to give the website the benefit of the doubt and continue to browse. However, as I continued to explore, I stumbled upon an ever greater concern: spamming.
Starting in September of 2022, my email inbox was relentlessly inundated with this website's spam messages. No matter how many times I told the website to stop sending me spam, it persisted relentlessly. At first, I assumed the messages were aimed at someone else, but soon discovered, to my dismay, that the messages were being directed to an email address that didn't even exist on my system!
This spamming of non-existent addresses is illegal under the spam laws of my jurisdiction. The Pet Supplies Plus spam also included a fraudulent "unsubscribe" link that did nothing but confirm the circulation of my working email address, thus making it more susceptible to further spam from Pet Supplies Plus or other cybercriminals. A bad practice, and again, illegal.
What's more, Pet Supplies Plus and their spamming tactics have caused significant harm, rendering me uncertain and wary of using their services in the future. I love my pets too much to risk giving them food from such a dubious cybercriminal organization, who are suspected of selling toxic or harmful products, let alone being associated with the same class of spammers who offer useless, fraudulent penis enlargement pills and other rubbish.
I strongly advise against doing business with this kind of disreputable and untrustworthy company. If you, like me, want to avoid spam, save your pets from eating tainted products, and stay within the legal parameters of email use, you should report any email from Pet Supplies Plus as spam, and avoid clicking on their fake unsubscribe links.
Neglectful and cruel: My experience with Pet Supplies Plus
I wanna talk to you guys about Pet Supplies Plus. I know some people have been saying some stuff, but I wanted to give you my two cents. So, I stopped in the store last night to get some cat food. As per usual, I went back to check out the fish. I was looking at this tank with some cichlids in it, when I noticed one of them looked kind of sickly. So, I asked the manager, Reagan, about it and he told me they were a breeding pair and that having two breeders in one tank was hard on the tank. I was like, okay, but why does this one look so bad? Reagan told me that the heaters in the tank weren't working, so that's probably why.
Now, I've been in the store before with my boyfriend and we commented on how cute the fish were. So, when I overheard Reagan asking if I wanted the fish, I went over for a closer look. The one in front of the tank was dead, covered in what looked like Ich. I immediately realized that the fish had been sick and neglected for a while, and I was disgusted. So, I called my boyfriend to see if he would take them and I went looking for the other fish. The surviving one was still in the tank, hiding in a rock and also covered in Ich. When I realized what was going on, I was horrified. The one fish died in front of the other, and now the other one was sick and all alone. It was really sad.
At that point, I turned to leave, but Reagan stopped me and said he had the right to refuse service. He threatened to call the cops if I didn't leave the store. I was honestly just so disgusted and horrified that I would never go back there to shop again. I mean, why would a pet store allow sick and dying animals to be on display? It's just neglectful and cruel. Those fish had obviously gotten the Ich from poor tank hygiene and neglect. Plus, cichlids need warmer water than goldfish and the store didn't even have a heater in the tank!
So, if you ask me, I would not recommend this store. It's just not worth it to support a place that's going to neglect animals and then threaten their customers when confronted about it. Save your money and shop elsewhere.
Disappointing Grooming Experience at Pet Supplies Plus: A Review
I and my furry friend decided to take a trip to Pet Supplies Plus for a professional grooming experience. However, when we arrived at the store, the owner greeted us with the news of a 20-minute backup and put us on the waitlist without any pleasantries. Although we had an appointment, we waited for approximately 10 minutes before they took our furry friend in for grooming. As they worked on other dogs, we decided to do a bit of shopping next door.
After waiting for a little over thirty minutes, we got a call that our furry friend was ready for pickup. Upon arriving, we noticed that our friend was lying on her side and her ears had not been cleaned as we had specifically requested. We tried to reach out to the groomer, but they refused to use q-tips to clean our friend's ears, which was frustrating.
We decided to escalate the issue to the owner, Mike, who was very apologetic and wanted to look into the matter. However, we received a call from Matthew, the general manager, instead, who talked over us and didn't seem to be interested in resolving the issue. He kept insisting that other places charge extra for nail clipping and ear cleaning, which was irrelevant since we had paid $60 for the service and were promised ear cleaning.
Overall, it was a very unprofessional experience, but the employees were friendly. It's up to you to decide if you want to go to Pet Supplies Plus for grooming services. As for us, we were disappointed with the experience.
Terrible Grooming Experience: Pet Supplies Plus Disregards Customer Satisfaction and Dog's Health
for grooming services. My experience with them was terrible. The groomer did not listen to my requests and shaved my dogs down despite my clear instructions. Moreover, one of the dogs had a poodle cut on her face, which I had specifically asked not to do. The grooming experience left my dogs in a lot of pain, with one of the dogs yelping in discomfort whenever I touched her ears. It was an awful experience to witness, and I was very worried about their well-being.
Eventually, I took my dog, Betsy, to the vet and found out that she had a severe ear infection, which was due to her grooming. The vet prescribed ear drops and a cleaning regimen, which helped her condition to improve. However, I am now worried about how this experience will affect her future grooming appointments.
When I went to Pet Supplies Plus to discuss the issue with the store manager, I was met with poor customer service. I had to repeatedly call them and follow up on my reimbursement requests. It was disheartening to see that they didn't care about their customers' bad experiences and were not willing to take responsibility for their mistakes.
In conclusion, I do not recommend Pet Supplies Plus for grooming services. Their poor service, lack of attention to customer requests, and disregard for customer satisfaction are unacceptable. I will not be returning to their store, and I will make sure to let others know about my negative experience.

Terrible Experience at Pet Supplies Plus - Slow Service and Poor Attitudes
I went to Pet Supplies Plus and it was a nightmare for me and my dog. The people there had really bad attitudes and the service was so slow. I don't have any positive things to say about them. It was a really bad experience.
Poor Grooming Experience with Lack of Compensation at Pet Supplies Plus in Waxahachie, TX
So I took my pooch to Pet Supplies Plus in Waxahachie, TX and it did not go well. When I picked my furry friend up after their grooming session, they had some razor burn going on. To make matters worse, the owner didn't even say sorry or try to offer me any kind of compensation for my dog's discomfort. I was pretty disappointed with the whole experience, to be honest. Just be aware if you're thinking of taking your pet here for a trim or wash.
Mixed Experience at Pet Supplies Plus: Friendly Staff but Sold Me a Sick Pet
I went to the store called Pet Supplies Plus and I gotta say that the peeps were real nice to me. That's why I gave them one star. They deserve some credit for that. But here's what really grinds my gears - they sold me a hamster that just wouldn't stop coughing. That poor little fella only managed to live for 5 days before he finally went to rodent heaven. I was real upset to see that happen, especially when I paid good money for that guy.
Honestly, I was hoping to have a good experience there because everyone said it was a great spot to get some kibble for my furry friends. But seeing how they sold me a sick pet, I'm not too sure I can trust them anymore. It's not like I'm asking for a lot, just a healthy animal that I can love and take care of for years to come.
Maybe I'll give Pet Supplies Plus another chance, but we'll see. I don't want to spend my money on pets that won't even last a week. It makes me question their judgement, ya know? Like, if they're willing to sell me a sick hamster, what else are they hiding?
Overall, I'm not too happy with my experience at Pet Supplies Plus. They were friendly, but that's not enough to make up for a sick pet. Maybe I'll try a different store next time and see how that goes.

Pet Supplies Plus Review: Good Selection but Watch Out for Weird Manager Policies and Prices
Pet Supplies Plus got this new manager named Isabella who's got some real weird policies. She says that crippled dogs should be leashed when you're walking around the store. I don't get it. Does she want us to drag the poor pup around on the ground by their neck? Or just leave them in the hot car? That's just plain heartless if you ask me. It's like she doesn't have any care for the pets or their owners.
But you know what, aside from that, Pet Supplies Plus is still pretty good. They've got a wide selection of pet foods, toys, and stuff like that. I always bring my golden retriever here to pick out his treats and he loves running around the store. And the staff are always really nice and helpful, except for Isabella of course.
One thing that kinda bugs me though is that the prices can be a bit steep. I mean, I love spoiling my dog, but I don't want to break the bank doing it, you know what I mean? So I do wish they had some more affordable options.
All in all though, I'd still recommend Pet Supplies Plus. Just watch out for Isabella and her weird leash policies.
Disappointing Change in Towel Policy at Pet Supplies Plus
Been goin' to Pet Supplies Plus for a hot minute now. Got me a big ol' dog that needs a lotta care and they always had what I needed. But then they went and changed a dang policy. Used to be I could get as many towels as I wanted, but now they're only lettin' me get two. Even if I wanna buy 'em! What am I supposed to do with just two towels for my big ol' pooch that's scared of the dryer? It's got me majorly peeved and I ain't gonna be a customer no more. Gonna leave 'em a review or two so they know how I feel. Shame it's gotta be like this.
Pet Supplies Plus Review: Best Store for Pet Needs with a Rewards Program, but Coupon Issues
Pet Supplies Plus is my go-to store for everything my pets need. From cat food to toys, litter, and treats, they have it all! Plus, the best part about shopping here is the rewards program. Every time I make a purchase, I earn points that can be redeemed for free bags of food and boxes of litter. It's a great way to save money and keep my fur babies happy.
But, I have had a few issues with their coupons. Even though I received them in my email and through the mail, they would not honor them and even accused me of fraudulent activity. It was frustrating because I was just trying to save a few bucks and stay within my budget. I had to contact the Better Business Bureau to resolve the issue.
Despite this hiccup, I still love shopping at Pet Supplies Plus for their high-quality products and friendly staff. The store is always clean and well-organized, making it easy to find everything I need. Plus, they offer a variety of brands and products, so I can always find what works best for my pets.
Overall, if you're a pet owner, I highly recommend checking out Pet Supplies Plus. Just be sure to keep an eye on their coupon policies!
