On 2/9/2025 at approximately 4:57pm, at your Fontana, California location, I went to purchase some turtles and an associate by the name of Beth, who identified herself as the manager on duty, refused to sell me the turtle that I wanted to buy for my nephews. She asked me a series of questions about the size of the tanks and said that she could not sell me the turtles because she couldn't be sure that the sizes of the tanks were large enough and that she was refusing to sell me the turtles because she wanted to make sure that they were going to a good home. This is ridiculous. Who made her the caretaker of the world's turtles? I thought that Petco was a for-profit company, so why do they allow their salespeople to refuse to sell to their customers? I want answers and an apology from this "manager-on-duty" Beth.
Desired outcome: I want an apology from the sales associate Beth who refused to sell me the turtles and I want the store to allow me to buy the turtles that I want to buy.
