Disregard of traffic rules
On the 8th of April, at about 14h25 a driver from Checkers with number plate LB76VB GP was delivering an order to 27 crane road, but before that, I came down on Falcon rd towards Finch road, he was coming up on Finch from Palm street, so it is a stop for him crossing Falcon, but he didn't slow down, he didn't even look left or right, another car could have been close and could have caused a major accident, Turing into Finch road, I noticed he also skipped the stop sign crossing darter road heading towards crane rd, I decided to follow him, and he stopped in crane road, also not stopping when turning G into crane. I stopped and confronted him about his driving, skipping stop signs and putting other people's lives at risk, and he think it is a joke that he did so. I took his number plate and his name, and also went to Checkers after that to speel to the manager at checkers. The manager asked him about his, and also had this smuck smile on his face that he doesn't care about his actions. This fir me is totally unacceptable, he is not above the law and he cause an accident, will he be accountable for it? Drivers name is Piason or something like that, not sure about spelling.
Desired outcome: I expect a serious warning and to be suspended for a while, where if this was my company, he would be dismissed IMMEDIATELY!!!

I have been using PINGO for more than 10 years, but it appears to be getting more and more difficult to simply add voice credit.
I tried to add voice credit to my existing account a few days ago but could not remember my account password. I choose the presented option of typing in my email so that they can then send me an email giving me the option of getting another password. I then did not get any email and tried a couple of more times with no results. I then decided to open another account with the same email address and paid for a $20 voice credit that came with a PIN number. The problem is that when I call the access numbers, it does not allow me to enter my PIN but then tells me that I have no voice credit. I have been trying to contact PINGO since then to resolve this but have not been successful. I have explained the problem to PINGO twice using their problem explanation box and did not get any reply from them as they stated that they would. I don't really know where to go next since I can't find a contact number for PINGO.
Desired outcome: I would like them to credit my phone for the voice credit that I have paid for. If that is not possible, I then would like a refund.

More than 5 years and this past payment was more frustrating than ever ! For the past weeks, I had to deal with family emergency that required me to be on the phone and spend 20$ phone card in 1 day ( I had to make call a few days in a row). Last week I agreed to automatic phone card for 10$ after I ran out on minutes, I didn't get any minutes to call. I recharged it again and get nothing. My statement on the credit card was charged twice, I called the next morning, they were close. What kind of a international phone company close on Sunday? It wouldn't matter if the after hour customer service value their customers and do their job but they didn't ! I called, she told me all she could do is to take Message even though I paid and I was in the middle if finishing emergency phone call . Great ! Imagine you relying on some help . I waited for a week for a call back as I promise, making phone call to see if they post my minutes, nothing. I'm still not able to make calls ! Do Not Use Pingo if you value your time and Money !
And oh, their customer service actually take the time to go through bad reviews and explain things so that other people who read it can give them a chance ! How about take that time to take care of your customers so there would be no bad review and have a better business ?

Poor customer service
This company SUCK big time. I could be studying for test right now but I'm angry enough to spend the time on this. I took the time to sign up to make phone call. The website told you " Fast and Easy", they lie. I spend about 45 min signing up and the only box that had the biggest issue is the "authorize code" provide by them. Really ? you're worry about matching what you gave ? then they told me my credit card information was wrong, i checked and update 4 times, then i used another one. just check my transaction, they charged me 21.60$ 4 times in one card and one time for the next card. when they finally accepted, they said to verify the account which they claimed would take a minute until i can make phone call. They LIED again. now i have to wait 24 hr just to used the account that i paid for. The representative suck too. He suggest i should email the costumer service and told me i would still to wait about 24 hrs for their reply.

Not Giving the Refund
On june 19th 2011 I signed up with Pingo and paid $10 for a calling card so that my wife could call her mother in India. The next day I received an email requesting the my PIN number for verification. On the following day when I tried to used my calling card, I was given a pre-recorded message stating the my account was invalid. I called PINGO and was told that my account had been canceled. When I asked for an explanation, I was told that since you have more than one account we are cancelling it, the refund will be given in 2-3 days to my Paypal account. Since then I am regularly sending them mails and calling their customer contact no. Every time the support persong opens a new ticket and asks me to wait for 5 business days. It is almost 11 days passed now but I am yet to get any refund. I am going to wait till this weekend or else I need to make a compaint to BBB.
I funded my Pingo account with $20 and then did not use their services. When I closed my account with them and asked them to refund my money they refused. Then when I asked them to reopen the account with a $20 credit that I could still use, they refused. They basically took my money, provided zero services, and now will not correspond with me.
They are, in truth, thieves, plain and simple.
I paid online for $25 dollars of additional minutes and I was told last week that I had only one minute left. I tried several times to add minutes over the phone and each time I was told that the account number was not correct. I would like the extra minutes or my money back.

I paid $10 bucks to make calls abroad after pingo said online that i can have 240 minutes but on calling for only 115mins, they report that i have only a $ 1.02 balance.This ia conmanship as the its contraly to what they portray.I cancelled my account right away.

Found a zero balance on my account the first time I tried using it.
Found numerous complaints of fraud committed by Pingo (in addition to poor service) on internet review sites. Should have googled PINGO FRAUD before purchasing from them.

Poor service. Calls never get connected. You will be lucky if you will get connected after one week continuous trying. Bad customer service with nasty attitude. I will never recharge my account and not recommend to any of my friend.
cancellation and failing to refund
On November 16th I signed up and paid $10 for a calling card so that my wife could call my son in Korea. The next day I received an email requesting the my PIN number for verification. On the following day when I tried to used my calling card, I was given a pre-recorded message stating the my account was invalid. I called PINGO and was told that my account had been canceled. When I asked for an explanation, I was told that I would have to email and would receive a response in 48 hours. Additionally my bank reported that PINGO still had my payment. I emailed PINGO on November 20th asking for an explanation for being canceled and also for a refund. On November 24th I checked my email. PINGO never responded. I called PINGO and was told that I would need to email them again and they would answer in 48 hours. I mentioned that 48 hours meant Thanksgiving and most businesses were closed for the holidays additionally it connected with Friday and the weekend. PINGO stated that I could expect a response by Monday. Informed them that if I did not receive an explanation for my account being canceled and a refund by Monday, I would file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. PINGO did not respond. I went online to the Better Business Bureau to file a complaint. Their website informed my that they did not recognize a business called: PINGO and could not process my complaint

I have been having worse connection ever using there service. I had bad connection on each call I made and I keep getting disconnected after talking for a minute or two or three and asked to enter phone number again and again. It's pretty annoying, frustrating and on top of that I'm paying for that. It's ludicrous, absurdity, incongruity to pay for horrible service like theres. My wife tried to contact me in Nigeria through Pingo. She dialed my number and it went strait to a sex line. She thought I was cheating on her and it almost caused a divorce. She now doubts my loyalty and I am going to contact an attourney to discuss a possible suit against Pingo. Thanks alot for ruining my marriage Pingo.

Same thing happen with me. It's too hard to dial number as well. Whenever I tried calling my family in south Asia, I got message "invalid number". I tried using other calling services and I got connected within 10 seconds. I called their customer service and someone responded with nasty attitude.
Same thing happened to me. Calling central america. It happened once in 2009 and again in 2011. To cerify my spouse was not cheating, I called her second cell phone # and she picked up as normal, while the lovely sexy noises were going on on the first line.
Secondly, I called one of her cell phones the other day, and unknown woman picked up. There was a tv show in the background. The lady said in spanish "hello" and I said who Id like to talk to. She said "one second". and then there was a guy in the background (sounded like a recording) saying "here" each time the girl said "where are you".
I called the next day and the eXACT SAME exchange of words happened with teh SAME tv show in the background. This time I could hear distant giggling on the line and someone said "ssshh its the partner".
I swear someone from that phone company is doing this to ### with people. I too, havent trusted 100% in my marriage since the episode in 2009. I blamed my partner for cheated, when nothing like that happened at all.
People, I call every 2 days to my family in Argentina since 2007. Let me tell you that I Have never had a problem like this using Pingo other than I loose the call or little things like that. I think you all should get together and send a claim to Pingo. But I dont think this is a big deal to start a lawsuit against them, that's stupid and unnecesary waste of time and money.
Last night I called my husbad in the middle east at about 10:42 central time and needless to say I heard this too. It was 11 minutes and 38 seconds long. I know it because I recorded it so he couldn't deny it and I forwarded it to him as well. It's currently 8:37 am and I haven't gone to bed yet. The said thing is that I called my husband in a combat area and accused him of cheating and the poor darling was telling the truth. I pray that this never happens to another family because I could have lost the one person in the world that truly loves me!

Pingo is a SCAM
This service is a scam! I signed up and my account was not activated, I got no response from the activation e-mail that they sent, and numerous inquiries with customer service were not returned by e-mail, their phone customer service does not have live people or the ability to leave a message.
They have a nice looking web site, but it is a SCAM. This service does not work. Do NOT give them your credit card information.

I have been a PINGO customer for over 10 years. I live in the US and my family lives in Germany, so there is a lot of international calling going on.
I am set up with auto-recharge, which is very convenient.
The service has always been very reliably, the call quality good and the pricing competitive, especially calling landlines in Germany. Calling cell phones is more expensive but that's the same for all providers.
I recently experienced a glitch where all of a sudden my parents number was "invalid" and my grandmother number kept saying it was "busy" (even though there wasn't a busy signal). I emailed Pingo and within 30 minutes had a response and they were working on fixing the problem (it was a technical glitch). They kept me updated throughout the process and the problem was quickly resolved.
I wish all tech/internet/phone companies had such good service!
I use Pingo for 3 years, I called Brasil in every way and performance you can think, Walgreen card, etc, etc, Verizon, etc, toooo much money for 2 hours, I had Pingo and I talked more than 30 hours for 20 dollars if I can remember. I hear like the person is next door, if can not complete, I try call later, and BINGO! Pingo is working. I totally disagree with those bad comments. Where can I complaint to pingo?
I put $20 in my account, but the softphone never works. After hours of trying, I have to give up. I sent email to their custom service to require a refund. Every time they said the refund needs 3-5 business days after more than one weeks-waiting in my life. After tens of email and more than one month's waiting, they didn't reply my email requests any more. What's worse, I learned from other's complaint that they charge extra $0.89 every month, and the notice is arranged in a corner with grey color on their website, which is very hard to notice! I think this is a very dirty company. I want my money back and no more people be treated by them, but I don't know where I can complaint to them. Anybody know?

As for ONE-SUITE... 7 cents per minute to Australia and 10 cents to France... NO THANKS - PINGO IS CHEAPER and by 5 cents per minute to France! For Australia, PINGO is only a cent or so cheaper, but for Mobile it's "19.9 cents" per minute compared to a whopping "34.3 cents" per minute at ONE-SUITE... Even taking into account a "98 cent" per month fee at Pingo... hands down PINGO is my choice.
Stumbled upon this web-site and noticed the name PINGO in regard to being a scam and would like to voice my opinion. I have been using PINGO for over five years now and am completely satisfied and highly recommend them. From Canada's Arctic region, I routinely call my two daughters in Australia, and relatives in France and the United States. I can only assume that those who are complaining are suffering from some actions of their own doing ... notwithstanding their complaints about customer service which seem to be very detailed and by "luck of draw" and good fortune I have not had the experience of receiving these messages that some have claimed to receive. I suspect that in some cases the complaintants have either lost their account numbers or passcodes; are having problems following instructions; are generally impatient & quick to judge without the tenacity to overcome issues; or are getting automatic replenishment of their accounts, then not using the minutes and having the card eaten up by the 98 cent monthly fee, & etc &etc... I have always been able to get a customer service rep and they have always been very helpful. Living "north of sixty" has it's challenges when it comes to long-distance... and finding PINGO was a god-send for me and I do not understand why my friends continue to use the "telephone company" long-distance rates OR any other "calling-cards" with their exhorbatant service fees and extra fees for this and that. The next best calling card I have found is "Seven-Eleven Stores" that have no-nonsense cards as well... however, they, last time I checked were not usable in this "Far North"... I've use Pingo a few years ago and although I didn't experience activation problem, the call quality is far from perfect every time I make a call. The common issues were either echoes or line noise which will go away after I sent them an email but goes back a few days later and we go round and round.
I wanted to call them back then but can not find their support number, either they don't have one or their website was not user friendly.
Switched to Onesuite after I used up my credits and never look back. Pingo isn't the worst but definitely there are better alternatives out there.
I wish I could have research more before I sign up today, luckily I did not give them my credit card information, I used my paypal account instead. I was not able to make any international phone calls and the emails I sent were not answered.
Please do not use this company at all!
RIP OFF
I was a long time pingo customer who give Pingo hundreds of dollars of business. Past January one of my recharge didnt get thru so I send them 3 emails that never got response. After calling customer service they told me to contact Paypal to get my money back which I did. Next thing that I know, they cancel my account which still had fund on it and never got back to me.
Doesnt matter how long you been with them and how much money you spend on them, in case of a problem this compagny doesnt not stand behind his product and will steal your money.

- The service is counter intuitive to use, site faqs are useless
- Rarely, if ever, does their automated system recognise either my acc no. or the number I'm trying to dial
- The automated information about available talk time is invariably wrong, leading to cut off calls
- Account top-ups require verification which can take up to 48 hours
- Emails through online form never answered
- Emails to email address only answered by automated response.
Despite the statement
"you may discontinue service at any time by providing written notice (either electronic or through the postal service) to Pingo customer service. We will then shut down access to your account."
appearing in their terms and conditions. I am told by an automated email responder that

Pingo ripped me off too, and I have no idea who to call about this. I signed up to make calls from US to AUS, and there was a 2 week period when I was not able to get any calls through, so I cancelled my account. Now they refuse to refund the $50 I had paid in advance, saying it's against Pingo's policy to give refunds. Unbelievable. Can't get a call through, and they are keeping all my money. This is blatantly criminal. Any suggestions on who I can contact ? Would the State Attorney General be appropriate ? Is there some watchdog group out there that anyone knows of ? Actually i tend to thing that this pingo issue is like a sidicate just to take peoples money .I signed to pingo account a month ago and they send a message to me to send my 4 fist digites plus lo0st secrety question. I did all this more than 10 times but up to now no one has responded and the account has not been activated.I also send so many emails to their customer care so many times but the only responce they give is that i shuld keep writing to pingo ferification.Now have given up writting to them .My only worry is that i parchased with my credit card
I had so much hope for them, as their features sounded nice (they had retry #, pinless dialing and speed numbers), and some review sites actually said try them out. Their verification email takes > 24 hours and the verification process is silly. They ask you to respond back with your PIN and secret question. When I did, the ###s responded back with an email asking for account details over and over again. I we so frustrated with this inane process that I had no confidence in them as a viable carrier, then I researched more and found no one else to be even close so thought I would give them another chance and relented and sent them all info they needed by this time my account was canceled.
By the way, initially, just to setup the account took me more than 3 days, fraught with a dozen retries the first day. Then on the 3rd day it started working again.
If not for other sites being crappier I would not have given these close a second look.
These people are fraud. I am telling them I dont need auto recharge they are just doing a recharge always. Not able to control them. I think they are not getting enough revenues. They are just like that eating everyones money

The verification process is convaluted, their customer service via email is horrible and unclear, and their telephone customer service is unhelpful and apathetic. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME with these jokers. There are plenty of other phone card companies out there who appreciate your business.
What a scam company Pingo is! They state "start using our services right away!" and when I questioned this because my balance stayed zero I received an automated email "due to safety measure, your account is being reviewed." Are they kidding me?! What a highly unprofessional, horribly non-up-to-date with our technical world these scam artists are!
