gift cards that I have not received
Ordered 500 dollars worth of gift cars in March, they told me they were shipped to my address, but I did not receive them, so they reshipped cards in July, I called today August 7 they said I got gift cards and were redeemed, I did not get cards, I don't know what is happening to them, they more or less hinted I redeemed them which I did not, talked to a supervisor and she gave me a hard time, so now I am waiting another three days for them to get back to me, last month they told me they were going to call me they never did, very frustrated about everything could someone give me a straight answer called 6 times complaining to them, Iam very frustrated
unethical behavior
June 13, I deposited $3, 800 cash into a PNC ATM. When the machine malfunctioned, I went inside and the teller already knew I had an issue with that specific ATM. She told me the ATM had been having problems all day. I filed a dispute that she told me would be resolved within 24 hours. After many follow up calls, I was told it would actually take 90 days. I spoke with a man named Dwayne Simmons who told me if PNC already issued a Provisional Credit for the money, they would NOT be taking it back. He told me the case was settled, they just needed the final signatures to finalize the deposit. This was a blatant lie because 3 weeks later I received a letter in the mail saying there was "no error with my transaction" and the provisional credit would be taken from me.
I called and spoke with the manager in the Retail Escalation Group (Megan Woods) who told me the ATM was completely balanced, which is why I wasn't getting my money back. She told me she would look into the other ATMs at that branch.
Today I received a call from Megan Woods who told me they initially checked the "wrong ATM" and they did in fact find my money.
60+ days of waiting, only for the bank to investigate the WRONG ATM? After being specifically told which ATM was broken? And when the teller already KNEW it was broken?
Here's the kicker...I spoke with another woman named Jada who told me initially they "miscalculated" the ATM and just now found the overage in the original ATM I deposited the money into.
I called Megan Woods back to ask her some questions...like who is responsible for the error? Who is responsible for me financially struggling for 60+ days while they made mistake after mistake? She told me that they gave me my money back, and she "could not go back and forth with me" about anything else.
Someone in PNC is a thief, and I wonder how many times they've gotten away with stealing money from customers.
I would like to know who is responsible for the countless errors on this case. I would also like to know why I have messages in to 3 people at PNC and not one of them can be bothered to return my call.
you cancelled my account
I had been a customer for about 3 years. I needed to add my husband to my account. We went in and filled out the form and they took a copy of my husbands work authorization i.d.
July 6, 2018 I call in to see how much my direct deposit is. I can't access my account. Later I call to find out why. Customer service tells me my account was closed 7-2-18 but they can't tell me why.
I called the special 1-800 number they give me and the representative says they closed my account because they didn't have proper identification on my husband. now they took a copy of my husband's ID so how they didn't have all the proper information I don't know and she couldn't tell me anything else. she did tell me that if I took a copy of the ID to the bank with me that they would probably reopen my account. Now why would I want to bank with you after you close my account without telling me.
Not only did you close my account without telling me but now I have no access to my paycheck. not only do I have no access to my paycheck but PNC waited a full week before sending the denial letter of accepting the paycheck to the company I work for. Now because PNC close my bank account I'm a week late on my mortgage I'm a week late on a payment that I owed to someone else on a credit card I have other bills due and no way to pay them because PNC took too long to send my check back to my company.
There is absolutely no excuse for them closing my account. It was MY account and I was only adding my husband that should not have made the difference in whether my account was opened or closed.
I will never been care again. I will also tell everyone that I know not to bank at PNC and the reason why.
they charged us for a service never used for 9 years
In 2008, we established a banking relationship with PNC. We discussed many products for our business. The sales person and I call them sales people because banking has become a sales oriented business verses a service business.
The asked if we want a check deposit machine. At the time, we said that we did not think we needed one. The Sales Person said, well lets get you to sign and when you are ready we can turn on and send out the equipment.
For years and years they charged us $50.00 a month. When I inquired about this $50 a month fee, I was told it was our monthly checking account fee.
It was not until January this year that I went into a branch and got to speak to the branch manger that she said this was not a monthly fee but a check deposit fee. I went on to explain that we have never used a machine, in fact if PNC goes back they will see that all deposits were made through either the ATM or teller and never through a machine.
Long story short, we paid $5, 400 for a machine we never used and never had. PNC after complaining to the OCC gave is back $2, 200 as a "good will". What a joke, they clearly charged us for a service for years, their staff is so sales focused they don't even know what products they have and they not care about service only about sales goals.
failure to close account and transfer account funds
My name is HAROLD ERIC BAILEY. I am the brother of RICHARD N. COWLES who passed away on 26 February 2018. I am the personal representative of his estate as named by the Circuit Court of Washington County, state of Indiana. As part of the process of administering his estate I have been trying to close his 2 accounts with your firm and have checks for those accounts made out to the Estate of Richard Cowles and have them mailed to me to deposit in the account set up to administer his estate. You have been provided with all legal documents necessary to accomplish this activity. Your firm finally did forward a check to me for RICHARD's Checking account #[protected]. However, your firm has repeatedly failed to close RICHARD'S Savings account #[protected] as requested my me as the Personal Representative of this estate. You have also ignored the requests by my attorney Blanton and Pierce LLC to close this account and forward a check to me. Repeated attempts to resolve this matter by telephoning your customer service department have yielded no help whatsoever. One of your minions, a Terry Carpenter promised help but provided nothing. I hereby request you IMMEDIATELY process this request and close this account and forward a check for $60, 762.46 (current Balance) to me at 371 Red Cloud Road, Florissant, Colorado 80816. I have been trying to resolve this with you since the 26th of April. Also, please respond to this communication to let me know when the requested check has been mailed. Failure on your part to quickly resolve this issue may force me to file suit against you in a court of law. I am available at e-mail [protected]@yahoo.com or telephone [protected].
discrimination from a drive-thru teller
On 6/28/2018 I needed to withdraw $80.00 dollars. I went thru a pnc bank drive thru because I had my grandchild whose a month old in the backseat and did not want to carry a car seat into the bank. My husband had my bankcard because he put some money into my account earlier that day so I had to use my state id. I informed the teller that I did not have my bankcard nor did I know my account number by heart so i'd have to use my id. She acknowledge my request, she asked if I had a withdrawal slip and I told her I did not. She sent the tray out for me to send my id through along with a withdrawal slip. I also asked her to give me my account number and routing because I have a bill I need to pay on line today. She stated she had to get a mangers approval than asked me what my address was as she looked at my id in her hand. Than asked when was the last time I used my card and where. I gave her the information she asked for with no hesitation. She than proceeded to ask me "why was I here in ohio instead of kentucky"? I was taken aback because the questions. I told her have property here in ohio and I have dual residency. She asked me have I ever had an ohio id. I told her I had but now I work and also live in kentucky so I have an kentucky id. I also informed her that I do have a bankcard and my husband has it with him. It seemed strange to me but she said her "manager" would be asking these question. She said she had to get her manager to sign off on my withdrawal so I waited for her to go and do that. When she returned she stood there and read my account activity, took her time doing that... Than asked me would I take it in $20's. Before she sent my money out to me she asked me "how long doyou think you'll be here in ohio"? I told her I don't know... So, she goes on to tell me I need to get my bankcard from my husband to avoid problems. I never had a problem using my identification at my local branch or any other until I came to this one! The branch is in oakwood located dayton, ohio. I have spent my money in that community for over 2 decades! I have never experienced rasicm there before in another business other than this one! A institution that I put my money in! A place that should not be treating as if I do not belong nor should have any business utilizing my personal account! I was very embarrassed, I was inconvenienced with my time for having to wait for over 10 minutes in a one lane... Only lane drive thru! It was very apparent to me and my family member in the car that I was being mistreated and I feel it was due to my skin color! I want someone to respond to my complaint!
rude customer service
I placed a stop payment on my account 6/1 for a transaction which I was charged a $33 dollar fee for. On 6/8 I see the transaction pending in my account I call my local branch and spoke with Robin. Robin was very rude regarding the situation and spoke to me like I was her child telling me "I need to listen" and telling me to "stop" while I was talking. I'm obviously upset that the transaction that I paid to stop is now pending in my account but now I'm dealing with a rude rep who is acting like this is my fault. I asked to speak with someone else because she was being rude and she wouldn't transfer me and told me it was because I wasn't listening to her continuing to explain what the term "pending" means. Instead of explains why the transaction was even able to pend after I placed a stop payment. I'm livid with her hamdling of the situation, and I will probably end up switching banks because of it. Mistakes happen I understand but making it seem like it was my fault and being rude was so unessesary. I'm very disappointed
customer service
On TWO separate occasions I tried to cash a check that was written by my boss, whom is a Dr. The first time on 6/5/18 the teller called two different people over about the check. When I asked what was wrong he said he needs to check something. Upon asking again he said the signature is not my bosses signature and it's not even close. Then one guy that he called over had the audacity to ask me not once, BUT TWICE who wrote the check him or me. I had my boss call the next day to verify and the branch manager he spoke with assured him that everything was ok and that I can come in and cash the check no problems. The branch closes at 5pm and I get off at 5pm- 5:30pm. I came again 6/7/18 and apparently the manager that spoke with my boss just left out on medical leave 6/6/18 and there are no notes because it was a verbal conversation and they couldn't do anything for me. This was a complete waste of time and BOTH times they made me feel uncomfortable and as if the check was not valid. They first day the teller called my boss to verify on 6/5/18 he never left any messages. Then on 6/7/18 I called my co worker to see if our boss was in surgery or out playing golf(he does in his free time) and the teller had the never to tell me " I googled the office and they're closed". My response was "yes we close at 12pm EVERY Thursday". His tone and demeanor each time was as if I was lieing and trying to get over. All of this trouble over $100 check. My boss called me back and he will be handling this AGAIN on 6/8/18. He as well as myself is not very happy. I was embarrassed and very upset by the way I was treated and the side conversation that was going on. I will no longer be banking with PNC after this fiasco.
This was the PNC branch in East Norriton
pnc accepted an altered check and has not reimbursed us
In 2016, PNC accepted a check that we wrote out for $200 but was altered to $1200. We notified them as soon as we noticed and they advised it would take up to 6 months to research. It's been 15 months and we are still waiting for a reimbursement. Because of the poor customer experience, we closed our account which had become overdrawn and PNC eventually sent our account to Collections. PNC's Security and Privacy statement says "We stand ready to help guide you every step of the way and get your credit, identity and account information restored as quickly and completely as possible to minimize damages." We don't feel they stand by their word. They do not protect their customers nor do they take ownership of their own mistakes. We are still expecting a full reimbursement of our $1000 that they negligently handed over to a thief. Mike K @ 224.234.9374
customer service
the PNC Banking Branch : 205 North Black Horse Pike, Mt Ephraim, NJ 08059
has the worst customer service. every time I go there that is a unprofessional situation. I have a business account with PNC. I went to withdraw a large amount of money; the bank manager ask the teller- why does she want that much money out? is this her account ? ask for extra ID! I asked why all the questions - he states because we never seen you before. i stated that has never been done before at any other branch - his response was - well we have to make sure its not fraud! I'm totally offended! another time is when I was in drive through waiting for 10 min. i finally went in and told them i have been waiting . they laughed and said " oh i forgot to turn it on" made me sign my name 3 times saying the signature don't match, when i wrote my signature the same way all three times she states- oh there you go, that s correct! I live a block from this PNC and every time its a issue or some unprofessional employee giving me issues. I will be leaving this bank by the end of this month or sooner
problem depositing joint refund check
I am a pnc bank customer and not happy with the customer service I received from my local bank which is located in monroe township (forsgate drive branch). We received a joint refund check from irs and both my husband and I signed the check. When my husband went to the forsgate drive branch to deposit the check into my individual account, he was told by the teller that that check could not be deposited because the check is issued jointly and we don't have a joint account with the pnc bank. I would like to point out that we never had any issues in the past with depositing the joint refund checks into my account. I left a message for the manager to discuss this matter, but the manager never returned my phone call. Meanwhile, my husband was able to reach the manager and got the same response. The manager said it's the irs policy and did not offer any other option to get the check deposited. I would like to know how this matter can be resolved without having to open a joint account. I would very much appreciate if someone look into this matter. Thank you.
fraud department/ customer service
On March 12th 2018 I called customer service to close my account I spoke with LaShonda. LaShonda informed me that my account had been put on hold because there was a fraud alert back in December. I was never informed of this. She assured me that my account would be put on hold and a new card would be issued and I would hear from the fraud department. That never happened. So on April 6th I called customer service again and spoke with Debbie. Debbie now informed me that someone had taken the hold off of my account and now more than $1, 700 was missing from a company overseas. Again the fraud department never called me. Who took the hold off of my account ?who dropped the ball? No one can tell me that. So again my account is being put on hold supposedly and I am still waiting for a call from the fraud department and I'm wondering when I will be getting my $1, 700 that could have been saved if my account had continued to be put on hold. Very disappointed in PNC.
pnc drive up atm
On 02/16/2018 at approx 6:20am I went to the drive up ATM on 2101 S scatterfield road anderson, IN 46016 and wanted to withdraw the amount of $300.00. when the transaction started dispensing I noticed some of the dispensed money was getting caught in the back of the dispense slot I was able to pull what money that did not get caught in the back which was a total of $140.00 I tried keeping the slot open whole grabbing this money in hopes to be able to fish out the remaining amount stuck in there. In doing so, the slot locked up and closed and started making noises which sounded like it was re processing my money back into the machine then the atm machine turned completely off for approx 40sec-60secs. Once the atm rebooted itself I called the security number listed on the doors of the bank and they told me it was all video recorded and to go into the bank when it opens and they would be able to assist with the matter. When I got in touch with the bank they told me that I had to to dispute this with my card carrier it's my indiana state work debit visa card. This is very upsetting because the atm machine Had an error and took my money from me but still transacted as If I recieved the whole 300 which means the atm machine Balance at the end of the day would have been 160 over what it shouldve been because it took my money. I was very upset to find they would not put the time in to see what happened that morning with the machine to help me get my own earned money. I still am having to dispute the answer and am unable to Recieve any vaild assistance through pnc.
online banking
My husband and I have been with PNC for 20 years. Today, when I logged in, the password kept auto-filling to an incorrect code. I was then locked out. I called PNC. As I have for 20 years whenever I had a problem logging in, I entered my account, my pin, sat through 5 different options, none of which applied and finally got to customer service. The MAN who answered had me change my browser settings (to no avail and which also caused me to lose all my passwords). I gave him account numbers, last transaction, my social security, my husband social security, the login and on and on. When HE could not figure out the logon problem, he told me he had to speak to my husband - who was at work and not home. I told the MAN this and he said I was not allowed to logon or fix logon to our joint account because I needed my husband's approval/permission or he needed to hear some man's voice tell him the same information. I guess I could have just grabbed any man off the street as how who you know? So this is not a security issues. I have had issues logging on before and had WOMEN who work at customer service help with the logon issues without my HUSBAND's permission. I talked to a WOMAN at the mobile banking on Saturday to deposit a check using my phone in the same mobile/online whatever account that today I was banned from Then, I went to the PNC branch in Abington, PA. Again, I was told I could not log on to our joint account - like I have been doing for years and just did YESTERDAY without my spouses approval. I had my spouse ON THE PHONE and the boy in the suit said he could not help me; he told I had my husband had to call to speak to your service department. Then he spoke to me about how he and his wife did their banking and how his wife couldn't use his card (like that was even what I was trying to address) and speaking to me as if I were a 5-yr. old, not a 53-yr. old woman with a Master's degree. Sexist much? Time for some anti-discrimination training at PNC. No More. Learn it; know it; live it.
I have a Payee at this time. but I am in a law suit before had so freeze the account#3. a prorate it like my ssi at the local ssa office gov. 46902 kokomo, in 46902. Into cash-out banking of accounts under 1:10vs232claim#43757.com. Payee accounts stand
job
I was a former employee left the company on good terms to pursue other interest at another bank. received my last payment from the company on Feb 2nd, and received funds from my 401k February 6. received those two and parted ways with PNC. Fast Forward to yesterday received a call from overpayment from the 1000 bonus that was given to all employees. I was informed that since I was leaving the company I wouldn't received the funds. Which I was ok with. Then I get t his call and have been very aggravated and disgusted with PNC to the point that I WOULD never come back to work for this company. The first representative couldn't answer my questions and got upset that I was asking questions to get clarity which really left a nasty taste in my mouth. While the 2nd representative was able to answer all my questions and sympathize with what happen. What really bothers me is that if its system generated I left the company January 19th my notice didn't go through processing till January 24th. Why would I still be incorporated into something when I was literally gone for almost a week? Why would I have to pay something back for the mistakes made by this Multimillion dollar company? If the company did its job and did it effectively why would I get punished for the mistakes that wasn't made by myself? questions that no one can answer and what really disgust me is that if i'm getting treated like this as former employee, I sympathize with the current employees. I really do not care for this ordeal and not understanding why the mistakes of this company fall on me.

I'm preparing for a vacation to cairo, egypt and had questions regarding my card and its expiration date. I had questions regarding ordering a new card for traveling purposes. darren burnett, vp branch manager refused to assist me with my pnc visa debit card because I didn't have my social security card. I had a district of columbia identification card along with my pnc visa debit card that expires in november 2018.
The vp branch manager informed me that I could be lying about who I am with a picture identification card and wanted to verify my social security number. I need to get out and bank somewhere else. I dial 911 for assistance from the metropolitan police department, officer jordan coleman and officer michael zhang responded to the call and informed me to contact pnc corporate office regarding public accommodation.
financial branch manager vanessa montoya
12/22/2017 was the date of the incident.
I was at the financial center in downtown chicago located at 55 w monroe st. I was speaking with vanessa montoya and I must say that after the 90 day period I will be closing my account. I will not bank in an institution where the financial manager has no education and doesn't know the basics of customer service. She was rude, condescending, and very unprofessional.
You can thank ms. Montoya for pushing me into your competitors. I was looking for an auto loan with pnc but I decided to go with bank of america.
credit card support
I have called to report my card lost, unfortunatly 2 people share same card number for one account. That is very unsual and very inconvinient. When I contacted your support staff yesterday, they stated they will ship out the new card overnight and we will receive the replacement cards the next day. Great! Unfortunatly cards never arrived, wen I called fedex they stated they never received the package from shipper, I called pnc back regarding this. Instead of the rep investigating whether the cards were still in their pissesion or not sge canceled my replacement card and told me to call back tomorrow to process a new one! Its not my fault they lost it now I am responsible? The service I am being provided as your loyal customer is very poor! Your support staffs seem to not care about keeping your customers happy nor assisting us.in the long run this may affect your customer retention. Im sure im not the only one concerned about getting turned down by your support staff. The reps name was testa jiop. Call was made todat 12/21/2017 at 9:00 pm
bank tellers
I have to tell you this is the second bad experience I had with 2 different people at the whiting stop n shop branch in n. J. The girls there are so snotty., they clearly do not understand the meaning of customer service! I went there today and was the only person on line, I asked the teller "carrie" if I could have a deposit slip, she replied with a attitude, "they are over there on the table", I said, "you can't give me one?" she said, "well if you went to a regular bank you would need to come up to the window with it." she gave me one and I was so mad about her attitude, I forgot to write down my name, "so she said, I need to know who it is going too." again with an attitude.
There was a man behind me with cash in his hand, so I said you are going to need a deposit slip, she chimed in and said "yes you do, they are over there on the table." so we both walked over together and could not find them, there was lots of handouts but no deposit slips.
The man proceeded to tell me that this was an awful bank that both girls also have given him attitudes. The other teller being the one I had a problem with in the past also. Two complete strangers saying the same thing about the same 2 people is not a coincidence, there is a problem here. We (the stranger and i) agreed we are changing banks.
As I was leaving I looked again, the slips where on the side of a podium, not clearly visible. Even if they were, the deposit slips were in reach and this should have never been an issue!
