However, recent news about ProtonMail's involvement in tracking an activist on behalf of the Swiss government has raised some concerns about the company's commitment to user privacy. In September 2021, it was revealed that ProtonMail had handed over the IP address of a French climate activist to Swiss authorities, following a court order. While ProtonMail maintained that it was legally required to comply with the order, many privacy advocates felt betrayed by the company's actions.

ProtonMail Disappointing Experience with ProtonMail: Issues with Attachments, User Interface, and Customer Service

I recently had the opportunity to try out ProtonMail, a highly regarded email service that has been touted as a secure and private alternative to other popular email providers. Unfortunately, my experience was less than stellar, as I encountered a slew of issues that left me feeling disappointed and frustrated.

One of my primary concerns with using ProtonMail was its inability to open certain attachments from my attorney. Despite numerous attempts to access these documents, I found that they simply wouldn't open with my ProtonMail account. However, when I forwarded the same emails to my Gmail account, there were no issues whatsoever. This was a major inconvenience, as it was difficult to keep up with important legal matters when I had to constantly switch between email platforms.

Another issue I ran into was the software itself. Whenever I opened the ProtonMail interface, a separate window would appear on top of it, which I had to manually close in order to access my emails. This was a tedious and annoying process that made managing my account a lot more challenging than it needed to be.

To make matters worse, when I tried to contact ProtonMail's customer service to address these problems, I was met with an incredibly slow response time. It took several weeks to hear back from customer support, and even then, the solutions they offered were far from useful - mostly just asking for screenshots and providing no real solutions to my issues.

Overall, I was extremely disappointed with my experience using ProtonMail, and am now on the lookout for a more reliable and user-friendly email service. While I appreciate the company's commitment to privacy and security, these things are ultimately meaningless if the service itself is plagued with issues. For these reasons, I give ProtonMail a rating of F.

ProtonMail ProtonMail Review: Promising Start but Terrible Customer Service

My experience with ProtonMail initially felt promising - the notion of having a more secure email platform than my previous providers was certainly appealing. Unfortunately, my experience with ProtonMail quickly soured when my two-factor authentication stopped working. After submitting a ticket to customer service, I was told that I would receive a response in 1-2 days. However, it has now been 4 days and I still have not heard back from them. This has left me feeling frustrated and helpless, as I have important emails waiting for me.

I have attempted to contact customer service multiple times since then, but have yet to receive a response. As someone who has used various email providers over the years, I must say that this experience with ProtonMail has been the worst by far. I'm surprised and disappointed that a company which prides itself on security and privacy could let their customer service slip so drastically.

At this point, I've decided that I have no choice but to switch to a new email provider. It's a shame, because I did have high hopes for ProtonMail, but unfortunately their lack of response has ultimately led to their downfall in my eyes. While I still appreciate their commitment to providing a secure email platform, without reliable customer service, it's hard to justify sticking with them - especially when there are so many other email providers out there.

The individual has expressed their disappointment in a review, stating that this would be the year they leave the platform altogether due to inadequate service. As a professional email service provider, ProtonMail has surely received much praise over the years. However, this review sheds light on the experience that a long-standing customer has had with the company.

The customer had been happily paying for a professional EMAIL and a few euros for a VPN service as a part of their membership, until they realized they had been shifted up to the business plan. This move had significantly impacted their finances, as they were being charged a whopping €230 every two years, a cost they believe is completely unnecessary. Their call for assistance to fix the problem was allegedly ignored, leaving them with no choice but to leave the provider for good.

It is quite understandable that customers would call out any businesses that take advantage of their subscription. The customer's concern was that they were gouged out of extra money for a service they did not need. By shifting the individual to a business plan without their consent, they felt what happened was completely unethical. ProtonMail ProtonMail Review: Poor Customer Service and Account Blocking

ProtonMail has been receiving some negative feedback lately, and I felt it was important to provide my own personal review of the email service to help others make an informed decision.

At first, I was attracted to ProtonMail because of their emphasis on privacy and security. However, when I signed up for a paid account, I quickly realized that their customer service was subpar. In fact, I have never experienced such poor customer service in my life - their responses were often irrelevant and I had to wonder if I was even talking to a real person.

Even with these initial concerns, I continued to use ProtonMail for the sake of my privacy. However, my account was eventually blocked despite making payments on time. When I reached out to their customer service team for help, I received no response. Days turned into weeks without any resolution, and I found myself stuck without access to my email or my money.

As I delved deeper into my search for a solution, I discovered that many others had similar issues with ProtonMail. People were voicing their frustrations about losing access to their email accounts for no discernible reason, and the common thread seemed to be the extremely poor customer service.

ProtonMail Disappointed with ProtonMail's Lack of Communication and Support

I recently signed up for ProtonMail and accidentally created multiple accounts, which turned out to be against their policy. Unfortunately, I missed this information during the sign-up process. Within moments of my slip-up, I received a notification from a bot saying that my accounts were under watch. I quickly went into damage control mode and tried to rectify my mistake. However, before I could complete the process, all my ProtonMail accounts were suspended. I was shocked that they had taken such drastic action so quickly, without any personal support or a chance to explain or appeal.

I reached out to ProtonMail for clarification and assistance more than two weeks ago but have yet to receive any response from them. I am stuck now, unable to access one of the platforms because my ProtonMail email address has been suspended. Needless to say, this has been a frustrating and unnecessary experience.

I understand that I made a mistake, but it felt like the company had little interest in communicating with me or resolving the situation collaboratively. I would have appreciated more understanding and leniency in light of the fact that I was not aware of their policy. Unfortunately, ProtonMail's lack of communication and support has left me feeling disappointed and dissatisfied with their service.

If you are planning to use ProtonMail's free service and potentially pay for their premium features in the future, be aware that their communication leaves much to be desired. My advice would be to double-check their policies and proceed with caution.

ProtonMail ProtonMail Customer Support: Inefficient, Ineffective, and Concerning - A Review

My experience with ProtonMail has not been a good one. I have been trying to log in to my account, but it seems to reject my password. Considering that I am sure of the password, this has been a frustrating experience. I had to contact the customer support staff, hoping that they would help me reset my account or offer any other reasonable solution. However, the customer service I received was not helpful in any way. The communication was repetitive, and it seemed that they didn't take the time to read my message thoroughly.

Not only did they repeat questions after I had supplied the information they asked for, but they also asked repetitive questions that were impossible for me to answer correctly. One of the questions asked for the exact date of my last log-in. Unfortunately, due to the high number of online accounts that most of us have, it is impossible to remember all the dates. Providing that exact date is not only challenging, but it's also not an accurate question to ask security-wise.

Despite sharing my concern that my account could be compromised, they kept repeating the same generic message, which did nothing to address my concerns. I understand that it was not a good idea to have provided a recovery email during account registration, but it seems that their customer service team doesn't care if my account got compromised. With the rise of hacking and potential security breaches, this is unacceptable.

I wanted them to either reset the account or eliminate it altogether due to the potential of being compromised and identity theft. Unfortunately, the customer service I received was not helpful or concerned about my request. This situation not only leaves a bad impression about ProtonMail but also highlights the fact that their customer service team is not effective or efficient in responding to login problems.

My experience with their customer support has not been impressive, and I would not recommend them for any email service. The lack of action on their part, their lack of concern for the safety of their client's accounts and their repetitive messages make me feel uneasy about the reliability and safety of their email services. This has been a frustrating experience and left me with no trust in this company's ability to support their clients.

ProtonMail Disappointing Experience with ProtonMail: Unresponsive Support and Inconsistent Information

My experience with ProtonMail has been incredibly frustrating. I wanted to import emails from Gmail, but I quickly realized that even a small percentage of what was in there was using up almost all of my storage. When I asked their support team how to delete emails, I was met with an unresponsive and unhelpful attitude.

It took seven days for them to reply to my initial ticket, and their response was not helpful at all. They claimed that the only way to delete 18,000+ emails was for me to delete them fifty at a time, going page by page. This process would take an incredibly long time, and it was ridiculous that they expected me to do this instead of simply deleting the account.

Their support team was inconsistent, with different reps giving me different, incorrect answers to the same questions. It seemed like they didn't care about my concerns and were uninterested in helping me resolve them. I was particularly frustrated with one rep, Borislav, who was lackadaisical and un-useful.

In the end, I decided that I no longer wanted to use ProtonMail and asked for my account to be deleted, along with a refund for any money I had paid and a complete cancellation of my data from their servers. However, they refused to delete my data, insisting that I delete my 18,000+ messages manually first. This didn't make sense to me, and I can't understand why they would be so inflexible.

While ProtonMail claims to prioritize the privacy of their users' data, my experience suggests otherwise. They reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that are inactive for three months, but they won't delete your data if you ask them to. This seems like a significant oversight on their part.

Overall, I'm extremely disappointed with ProtonMail. I had been considering recommending their service to family and friends, but after my experience, I'm hesitant to do so. I hope that they can improve their customer service and user experience in the future.

I recently came across reviews of ProtonMail and was immediately drawn in due to the hype surrounding the level of security they offer. However, upon reading through some of the reviews, I noticed that there was one customer who claimed to have been shut down by Proton due to a refund request on a paid upgrade subscription that was never activated. While this may have seemed like a red flag at first, upon further reading, I found out that the customer had actually received a full refund via Paypal, and was quite happy with the result.

Seeing this review made me wonder about ProtonMail's customer service and policies, as I imagine most people would when coming across a negative review. However, it's important to remember that there are always going to be customers who have unique experiences and may not mesh well with a certain provider.

ProtonMail Unacceptable Customer Service: My Disappointing Experience with ProtonMail

I had a rather unpleasant experience with ProtonMail and felt compelled to share my disappointment with the internet community. To say that I was frustrated would be an understatement. Upon trying to log into my account, I was met with an error message that informed me that my account had been disabled. You can imagine my shock and dismay when I realized that none of my important email documents, receipts, contacts and copies of bank transactions could be accessed anymore. It was a nightmare.

What really rattled me about this situation is that there was absolutely no warning or explanation as to why my account was disabled in the first place. It felt as though ProtonMail had simply and carelessly thrown all my data away without a second thought. As a customer, this is unacceptable. The careless handling of my data with no explanation is a breach of trust that has left me feeling pretty disappointed and angry.

I believe that every customer should be able to trust that their email provider will safeguard their personal and professional information. Unfortunately, ProtonMail failed to deliver on their promise. As much as I appreciate their security features, it seems that they haven't quite mastered customer service, which is equally important in today's digital landscape. It's essential for companies to offer clarity, transparency, and accountability, especially when customer's data and personal information is involved.

Overall, it's hard to recommend ProtonMail after my terrible experience. They clearly need to improve their communication and customer service if they wish to maintain a loyal customer base.

ProtonMail ProtonMail Review: Disappointing Customer Service & Refund Policies

As a cybersecurity-conscious consumer, I decided to give ProtonMail a try. I went ahead and purchased the yearly subscription plan, with the intention of using it for an extended period and then writing a review. However, after just 30 minutes of testing out the platform, I unfortunately came to the conclusion that it was not fulfilling my needs.

Not wanting to waste any time or money, I immediately proceeded to cancel my subscription, thinking that a refund would be a simple and straightforward process. However, to my disappointment, ProtonMail refused to offer me a refund and instead provided me with credit for future use.

Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed by this response. As a paying customer, I expected better customer service and more flexible refund policies. While I understand that companies have their own policies and procedures, I believe that customers should feel valued and supported, especially when they are making a legitimate effort to use a new product or service.

Overall, I cannot recommend ProtonMail based on my experience. As a consumer, I believe that it is always important to trust a company that values their customers and is willing to work with them to address any issues or concerns. Based on my experience with ProtonMail's customer service and refund policies, I do not believe that they meet this standard.

ProtonMail Disappointed with ProtonMail's Customer Service: A Review

I've been using ProtonMail for quite some time now, and I can't help but feel a little disappointed with their customer service lately. I had a question that I needed help with, and it's been over 10 days and I still haven't gotten a response. I've never had to wait this long before, and I must admit that it's starting to bother me a little.

Their initial response was not very helpful either. It felt like a blanket response that didn't really address my issue. They suggested that I reinstall the app, but that didn't solve my problem. So I reached out again, twice actually, and still haven't heard back. I'm starting to wonder if my message got lost in the shuffle or if they're simply too busy to respond.

The thing is, I really like the service that ProtonMail provides. It's secure, easy to use, and has all the features that I need. But this lack of customer service is making me question whether or not it's worth sticking around. I know that they've been growing rapidly, but I can't help but feel a little let down by this experience.

I hope they respond soon and provide some assistance with my issue. I really want to continue using ProtonMail, but they need to step up their customer service game if they want to retain loyal customers like me.
