First time I opened my account I was blocked, I wrote to them and they opened it. This can be frustrating but it's there way of avoiding spam. Still once you get pass their security issue, it's easy sailing. Also, I cannot complain, maybe it's because I have patience that I don't mind taking the extra step to bypass the ad to get to my email. All in all, they are pretty good, never had an issue. I am not bombarded with ads like I was with hotmail.com.

Mail.com / 1&1 Mail & Media Great email for your JUNK mail!

Contrary to other reviewers, I love this email provider, but only because I use it exclusively for my junk mail. I use it as an extra email for online stores I don't visit often or newsletters. It also has nice extensions, instead ***@hotmail ***@gmail, you can pick something different. I ***@gardener and I use it for all the gardening sites newsletters I sign up for. They also don't ask for security, or verification, or phone number ect, just basic email.

I wouldn't think of paying to upgrade though, or using my personal info, business info or credit card info on this website. Just a great extra email for my unimportant stuff!

I'm willing to bet that most of the negative reviews on here for Mail.com are fake. Their email services are fantastic! I've never had one single issue with this company. I sync all of my emails, contacts, calendars, notes and reminders with them without any delays or missed communication. Their premium services and customer support has be nothing but A+. I would much rather pay to use their services (with ***@mail.com email address using my actual name) than use Gmail or iCloud where it's next to impossible to find an available name, having to add numbers and whatever else that hasn't been used. You might have to take a few extra steps to sync everything correctly by using CalDav and CardDav settings, but it's ridiculously easy and quick to do.

Mail.com / 1&1 Mail & Media Works for Me

I have had an mail.com account for several years, because google.com is banned in China but this works. Chose an 'email.com' moniker as it is easy for everyone to remember, although often get asked if I really meant 'gmail.com'. But have not had any problems so far, works like any other email as far as I can tell.
Oh, one gripe is that my emails often end up in the receivers spam / junk mailbox so other servers obviously don't recognise it sometimes. Don't know what I can do about that, but then I have never tried to.

P. [protected]@ Devan N. Hasn't happened yet and I / they have sorted the junk email problem - seems they were marking my emails as spam because I use a VPN [being in China] and my IP address kept changing. They have since white-listed me and no problem since.

Mail.com / 1&1 Mail & Media Over 20 years of mail.com without one problem

I've been using mail.com for over 20 years without one problem. I initially created the mail.com account as an expendable burner account back in the 1990's but it worked fine and I got a great email address so I just kept using it. I used it for things where I didn't want my business email exposed to advertisers and spammers. I had other similar free accounts from other providers that I abandoned when the spam got to thick. But the mail.com account never got hopelessly overrun with spam so I've kept it and used it regularly. Perhaps they have a lower tolerance for spammers. I was just reading their reviews and most people who left poor reviews complained of being blocked. I wonder why? Perhaps they are the spammers. I've have been an IT professional and Systems Analyst for over 30 years. I don't know anything at all about mail.com as a company, who they are, where they are, their fitness, etc. I only know I've have been using my mail.com account for over 20 years without a single hiccup. I even prefer it over my gmail account. I've recommended mail.com to others who have used it for years also without problems. So there you have it. My $0.02 is 5 stars.

Mail.com / 1&1 Mail & Media Now BLOCKED from my own email account!

I thought I was the only one. I realize this is free, but WTF? And after 3 to 4 years of using this email service. Hmmm, which makes me think they are blocking accounts based on either complaints or scanning emails? They give NO reason why they block people out and leave them with no recourse. Something is VERY unsavory here.

Just yesterday I was blocked from sending (still can receive) due to irregular activities and was told that I MUST change my PW. I have several aliases as well. I went to change it, but all that did was lock me OUT completely!

I then tried using another alias, said I forgot my password and was able to login strangely. Today is Aug 2nd and once again it happened. Another obscure email from security claiming I need to change my PW and that I will be blocked from sending any emails. I emailed these Leftist humps yesterday with NO RESPONSE! (used another email acct for a response). Today, strangely, I tried to recover my PW but instead of sending it to another acct like they did yesterday, it wants you to contact support - which is NON EXISTENT!

BTW, this is owned by 1&1 the web company (***@ssholes) - and if you haven't already noticed with their so called "news" they shove in your face daily - its HEAVILY Liberal Propaganda.

Mail.com / 1&1 Mail & Media Wish I could give -5 stars, how do they get away with this? Contact me!

Like many others said, blocked my account with no prior notification of issues or reason given. I invite everyone else who's been scammed by this sorry lot to contact me so we can get an internet attorney on this. Or 60 Minutes. Or someone who can make these crooks pay!

Update: I sent a complaint to the PA attorney general. 1&1 responded, saying "other service providers identified emails as spam", which of course were poorly programmed bots that false flagged emails sent to more than one recipient (which I do routinely in my business).

The attorney general's reply to me said they could not do anything in my particular case, but they could do so in the public interest if enough people are affected. So if enough of us write, they may take action.

So I wrote back to the attorney general, stating something to the effect of:

"The response from 1&1 that 'email service providers identified my emails as spam' was based on poorly programmed bots that false flagged legitimate emails I sent to more than one recipient. No specific examples were cited by 1&1, as I can prove any and all were legitimately authorized to be sent to the recipients.

Therefore, I would like to pursue this matter further in accordance with item 2 of Question 9 of your FAQs, which states: 'The Bureau May Investigate 2) fraud, misrepresentation and deception in the sale, servicing and financing of consumer goods and products. The Bureau can bring a lawsuit seeking an injunction, restitution and penalties, if it would be in the public interest.'

As you can see from these online reviews of mail.com in the following link, I am far from the only person who has been affected: https://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/mail.com.

This having been a widespread practice on the part of 1&1 affecting multitudes of consumers, I firmly believe it is in the public interest to seek such an injunction, restitution, and penalties for all whose email service was wrongfully blocked based on false accusations of spam or other spurious reasons."

If you've read the other reviews about Mail.com, I hope my experience will convince you to not only reject any offer to use their services, but to also let others know that this is not your average, every day, "bad" mail client service. I'll be submitting links after I'm done.

When I first signed up with Mail.com, I was trying to find a substitute for "Outlook," and I won't bother about the reasons, except to say there was an article detailing alot of the bad things about Outlook that I agreed with from experience. Bottom line -either you like it or you don't; if you don't, you go find something that works for you. But, keep in mind, that you'd best do your homework, especially if you're looking for a place to send and receive your public, private, personal and/or professional email.

Anyway, when I signed up for a free account, it was completely different from what it is today. I'm not sure who owned it at the time, but it looked a lot like a knock off from "Squirrel" or "Cube" with all the options listed to choose from - how to set up, how to choose a name, how to delete, save, forward, archive, etc. There was a listing of all the mail names you could choose, and - most important - there was the ability to delete, move, archive, download your mail or folders, without having to ask permission - only to be denied. It was simple, direct, and to the point, and I didn't even mind the ads, as I had enough protection to not be worried about viruses/malware or having to click something twenty times before getting to my mailbox.

Then a few years ago, I get the email telling of changes. I wasn't worried, but I went over to check it out. It was at this point I realized they had been changing it all along - slowly, but surely. Links and directions began to disappear. I couldn't pull up the area to change my email address, phone number - whatever!

What scared me the most was that outside of the default account I had, I never connected my Outlook mail account to any of my other folders, yet, I go over there one day and all my folders are there! Including the ones holding sensitive information that I knew I could keep in Outlook, but would never place anywhere else, yet it was sitting in "MAIL.COM." I was pissed, because the intrusion I was convinced Outlook was guilty of, is what Mail.com had become - practically overnight.
I sent them an email, telling them that I wanted to archive my email for a download. I didn't tell them that I resented their new service, figuring it best to walk lightly at first, because any company that would dismantle all the tools and links benefiting the customer - with or without good reason - and then not providing the means to act on such a decision, should be approached carefully, if only to gather information.

The response I got back was simply one of an apology, and a statement that they don't provide that service any longer, but I was welcome to forward to my heart's content (No, they didn't write that, but it sure felt like that's what they were saying). Well, that's all I needed, and my email informed them I wanted to cancel my account and needed to get all my mail so I could delete it from the system - or at least give me the comfort of thinking could, anyway- and wanted to do it as soon as possible.

They wrote back a few days later with, - and I paraphrase - "We're working on our servers right now, and had to remove that feature. However, if you want to close out your account, please write and tell us. We'll do it for you, and make sure that all your emails will be deleted as well." I had to read this twice. I've been playing with computers since the 80's, and I'd never heard anything like this concerning email.
Did I mention that at this point, Outlook was looking pretty okay, and a part of me wanted to send them a hallmark card with a an apology for being so judgmental?

I shot off another letter threatening to report them, and of course, they didn't respond. Here's why: They don't have to do anything or comply with any policy, because THEY AREN'T AMERICAN.

In fact, what they did to me, and what you've read so far in the posts? Well that's nothing compared to what they're doing globally. Just type in "Mail.com" over at Wikipedia, to get a glimpse at who they really are (Please don't go into the whole, "You can't trust Wikipedia. Of course you can trust them. You can trust them far enough to know what direction to go for more validation or proof.).

If this post is allowed on this site, you should get the word out to everyone who is thinking about signing up with them, or is trying to get out from under them.

This company is the ultimate example of why the Internet cannot be run by or in
The control of countries other than the United States. Their tentacles reach far and wide, and right now there a few Internet reviewers looking into the story behind Mail.com (I'm actually a little proud that in one case, research is the result of my situation) I'm hoping they'll check to see if this coincides with Obama's agenda to take the power of the internet, and place it in the hands of a less capitalistic, consumer-driven entity. People are only now starting to realize that Obama's greates talent was distracting America with one hand, while doing his damage with the other.

Anyway, read the Wikipedia article, then do what I did. Go to the search engine and start typing keywords like - Mail.com - owner - consumer complaints - legitimate - bogus - deception. Trust me, keywords can/will take you far, and the sooner you learn how to pull up info on Search engines, the better informed you'll be in the long run. Hell, I knew better than to vote for Obama, but I still checked him out to confirm what I knew to be true.

So, here's the bottom line: If you value your privacy, get out of Mail.com. If you have bank, credit, mortgage - anything that requires your SS#, DL#, phone, home, spousal info - WHATEVER - if you do your work online and are using Mail.com, you are about to become like me - a cautionary tale.
Unless you're paying for Mail.com - a subscription that provides everything that was once free and probably additional perks - all you have send and received on that account is theirs, and here's the kicker:

They can and will shut you out of your account - without warning or reason. Let me say that again:

THEY CAN AND WILL SHUT YOU OUT OF YOUR ACCOUNT - WITHOUT WARNING OR REASON. You'll find this in the article as well.

Look, I'm not naive. I know that collecting info is something everyone is doing. Fact is, if you've never been on the Internet, I promise that five minutes after you sign up, there won't be a social network or business who won't have some info about you. It's the nature of the beast, and a price we all are paying dearly for. All I'm saying is this: It's bad enough dealing with American companies stealing our info, but to have A GERMAN CORPORATION BLATANTLY DICTATE how we use our mailboxes is... well, you know what it is.

I've spent the last week trying to wipe my box out by filling it with bogus info, namely changing email addresses, replacing it with a domain email that had none of my info - mail or anything else connected to it, and then redirecting addresses I want to my new email address which I purchased through a domain hosting site. You can get a domain for as cheap as 99cents and another for 1.50, which is pretty good compared to hosting companies trying to sell the same thing for 14-25.00 and up yearly. I say get the cheap domain, you don't even have to set up the site, but for 99cents, you have a domain and address, and then next year you choose whether to pay the full price for a renewed domain (5-15.00), or you go fishing for another deal that will allow for transferring your domain.

Either way, get out of Mail.com as soon as you can, because they are legitimate in the sense they have the money and the wherewithal to do what they're doing, but they are most certainly doing it for wrong reasons, and let's be totally honest here:

If they're so arrogant as to remove the tools that prevent free subscribers from forwarding, archiving or even deleting folders, I'd hate to think what they're doing to the paid subscription people, all of whom, are frankly paying for them to do what they've been getting away with for the past five years or so.

I need into my inbox to get my files. The email address is [protected]@mail.com from mail.com company. The security for no good reason at all has a block on my account. Its my account not thares. They did not get my permission to be the security on my account. They requested me get a code and I couldnt get the code because I lost my phone associated with the account. I gave them my other account to send me the code to and they want to refuze to let me in. I have important inbox entree to recover. I would like the block removed so I can transfer my files to a new email service provider.
Can you guys help?

Claimed loss: big trillions in dollars in loss is incurred if i cannot get in

The other month I created a account just for gaming purposes on this mail site and they blocked my account permanently with my first and last name email recovery address that I cannot remove which makes me feel like a hostage to the company. At the time I was concerned and gave the best answer with good intentions that I only used a VPN for privacy concerns and to assure them that I didn't do anything Illegal. I just hope nothing happens to me since I am full of dismay. I just hope whoever reads this message gets back to me, kind regards.

Desired outcome: I would like to have mail.com add a feature for permanently blocked accounts to get deleted as well if they are counted Inactive for 6 months for security reasons.

Your mail.com Support Team,

Consumer, I am in receipt of your email and again, I can't access my email to delete and or remove sensitive information that I have there.
In which this is part of the problem not outlined in my previous email, but obvious.
At this point please REFUND me my money that I paid within the last month of the upgrade.
These accusations are strange and alarming especially seeing that I upgraded less than a month ago and now you BLOCKED my account.

It's also, when I obtain and filed my personal and sensitive information, via the @ mail/ email account. I haven't even set up the new features for that up graded email account.
I am concerned because this was arbitrary, perhaps even targeted, contrived to extort money , by accessing my information and the money you REFUSED to address and return.

Under the circumstances I have no choice but file a complaint, and register your company a melioidosis malware, for this suspicious behavior. In addition to the fact that @mail has made NO effort to secure or provide me with a certainty that my information will not and can't be access and ABUSE. No proof that the account is closed and there is no inside INFILTRATION.

Therefore, a documented report will have to made as well, because the lack of transparency, I have no social media, accounts.
Facebook, Metaverse, TikTok, Instagram or others. So, I believe I have been personally targeted by @mail. Which is PROBLEMATIC and this needs to be reported.

The implication, apparently @mail is tracking me which is illegal or something worse.
Refund me immediately and provide all VERIFICATION needed regarding the blocked accounts.

Dude I feel the same way I can't even sleep some nights as I to put sensitive Information I fell for the same mistake. I should have read the reviews knowing this email service Is most likely targeting individuals claiming that "Its free" to give them you're credit card for a so called premium service so they can drain you're bank account and potentially steal you're Identity. I feel like this company Is a scam and should be put out of business to all of those like myself and you that have been tricked. This site needs to be taken down before It dose more damage to unsuspecting people.

Mail.com / 1&1 Mail & Media Beware! Scam and spam email "service" who silently blocks you receiving after complaint

A few years ago I opened an account with mail.com (once an US operation, one of many bought up in 2010 by UI ). A mail service being advertised as "free".

Included with various feature promises and of course a premium service if you pay.

Okay.

I opened an [free] email with them so I can use this email when I have to login somewhere new where I'm not sure exactly about services and not want regular my main email affected.

I used it to send very little maybe 1/2 a dozen to a dozen at most emails per month.

Shortly thereafter I started to get increasingly inundated with all sorts of scam and spam email. From horny woman dating sites to porn sites to all sorts of travel offers etc. many of them coming from the same domain.

Even by blocking them, many of them still get through.

Previously I contacted support a few times and got some boilerplate answers, some of them totally inane and ignorant of the issue. I.e. "the issues related to your browser"...

Then mail forwarding was excluded.

Now (September 19) I discovered that since August 24, 9AM I no longer receive any emails. No announcement ever as to why. Just silently.

Oddly is, I can still send.

I had some friends send me an email for testing purposes but none of them was received.

There "free" support section has vanished disappeared. I no way to contact them. Another way of saying we got from you what we want through our free account offering and now go ... yourself.

The whole operation is "a company who owns companies who own subsidiaries which own companies..."

Mail.com is apparently run by 1 & 1 Mail & Media Inc. which apparently is 100% owned by United Internet (UI) AG in 56410 Montabaur Germany.

This company refers itself to a German domain www.united-internet.de.

Their pride is to be an Internet marketing specialist company pushing/owning 16 brands and 5.6 billion in sales.

1&1 Versatel; GMX; WEB. DE; STRATO; IONOS; mail.com; Arsys; Fasthosts;

InterNetX; united-domains; home.pl; World4You; Sedo; United Internet Media and we22.

It is claimed that it is owned 38% by Ralph Dommermuth (CEO). (You can look him up on Wikipedia)

So as suspected, a data mining operation. they just extract about any data they can from you and push/sell/resell anything they can on & about you. Once they think they leeched you out you're being blocked/crippled in the sneakiness low "Schweinehundenen Scheisskerl" level way that reminds me of how Germans solved problems 80 years ago getting rid of undesirables!

Desired outcome: Investigate them! There is a lot more to it than appears officially and on the service. They are a fraud, ["legalized"] scammers and spammer operation!

Mail.com / 1&1 Mail & Media General issues

I originally bought a subscription to mail.com and downloaded the app. I realized I had just become vulnerable, and the extra bells and whistles didn't work with my system. Several consumer complaints made me realize this was a mistake. I subsequently canceled said subscription, and heard nothing back. They took out another $19.95, unauthorized, even after I canceled.

Desired outcome: I need a refund. Thank you.

Your premium support have had 5 months to resolve your miserable software issue on logon into my account. Time deadlines mean nothing to them, yet they are very good ignoring repeated requests to solve their own problem so I am not inconvenienced every time I login to access emails! as you can see they cannot even manager to get the complaint number right there are 2 complaints about this issue and their total lack of interest if fact the phrase arrogance fits them better!.

So having read the reviews about your complaints handling it seems it is your company policy to continually hack customers off! by doing nothing now this is your chance to prove them wrong.

Desired outcome: REMOVE THE OFFENDING LOGIN SCREEN!!

Free EMail. ya for them to take from you, I had the setting for unlimited and they says OO 65GB but to my shock today, found out my emails only go back 1 year! I've been signed up since 2000, So my point of using this service was to keep all emails, currently I'm using about 65 mb for 1 years worth so i highly doubt that i hit the promised 65GB, I've never attached large files. never used a pop3 program. I stay away, 18 years of emails, why they didn't send me a email, was mostlike deleted by them. This whole this advertising free unlimited [censored], Ive should of know better than to trust a free account. DONT USE FOR LONG Term or just skip this service . 18 years gone. great. always backup but they don't provide a option to downloads messages expect pop3, which is a premium service.

Over 10 years with this "so-so" company, mail.com
I was a customer before mail.com, when it was GMX.com
Now, in the past few months, my five email accounts are all having issues.
mail.com is LYING to customers, falsely accusing them of being spammers,
hackers, anything. CS reps sound like drug addicts and have no knowledge
of customer service or computer software. Unhelpful? Complain and mail.com employees will HACK your email, change your settings and information, block you, and even delete all your contacts.

Yes, mail.com did this to ME.

CS refuses to fix anything, or escalate the issue, or even give a name.
Then the problems just keep happening again and again.
Months of horrible CS.
CS gives WRONG answers, fails to read the complaint, FAILS to help.
CS is full of shoddy workers that need to be FIRED.

In a lifetime of giving and receiving good Customer Service,
NEVER have I seen such Horrible customer service as mail.com
in the past few month. January, 2020

Mail.com / 1&1 Mail & Media mail.com blocked access to my account

I am an extremely upset premium subscriber. On Thursday night, the access to my account was blocked, as you term it, for suspicious activity. Despite submitting several contact forms asking to be unblocked, I was not unblocked until late in the day on Friday when I finally called customer support. Now I am missing almost 24 hours worth of email, and I was expecting an EXTREMELY IMPORTANT email on Friday. How do I retrieve it?

Your support people say I can't, but if only my access was blocked, those emails should be in my account...I just couldn't see them because I couldn't log in. Support says they are not, but that does not make sense. According to the message, my access was blocked, not my account.

And I don't even understand why you would suddenly lock my out of my own account, one that I pay for. Why did you do this? The only thing I can think oif is that I recently went on vacation to California, as I sometimes do, and was accessing my account through my phone. But I access through my phone all the time and I returned on Wednesday, not Thursday night. I think this is a very unprofessional thing to do.

How do I get my emails back? This is important and I pay for your services.

Mail.com has blocked my account twice. The first time I got it back. This time they say it is permanent. I have appointments, addresses, receipts, etc. on that site that I can no longer access. This happened after I used a different computer to log in at a hotel. People do that all the time. I constantly logged out of email as they want you to do. The company does not seem to care whether they have clients or not. I would not recommend this service to anyone.

Mail.com / 1&1 Mail & Media free email platform

I tried to access my free account that I've had for more than a year with MAIL.com on July 1, 2019. When I entered my password an alert popped up on the screen telling me that because of "suspicious activity" my account had been blocked. "For my protection" they asked me to change my email account password. I tried to do that but the Mail.com system refused the password. The system said the answers for the security questions were incorrect. I contacted customer support and all I received were pre-written messages that told me to take the same actions the advisory message on the screen did. Nothing worked. When I contacted customer service after 2 days of trying to access the account their response changed. They said they didn't have record of my account. They asked for all kinds of information to prove it existed in the first place.

Mail.com blocked my account. Now they can't even find it. This platform is not secure and there is no customer service. They are better, more secure free email platforms. Avoid MAIL.com.

Mail.com / 1&1 Mail & Media I got hacked but they refuse to help me

I would advice you all to delete your mail.com mail addresses and find a more trustable mail service. Here is why:

My mail address which I used for 6+ years got hacked today. They changed the contact mail address and I cant remember the secret question's answer.

I've provided mail.com my ID Card's photo and sent that photo via the original contact mail adress(the original and the first one, which hackers changed into another email)

but mail.com's customer service just said they can't help me. I should follow password recovery steps which I already clearly told them I tried every single possibility but hackers already blocked those ways.

Long story short : if your mail.com account is hacked. it's not your mail address anymore according to mail.com customer services. Use another mail service. Don't lose your valuable information with mail.com

This webmail is the worst in the world. Stay away from them.
You have no control over your account. They decide for you how you should use their mail services. They just decided to block my account for no reasons. I reached out to their customer services without any success. No flexibility. No communication. No support.You can't solve anything with Mail.com. Their definition of support is to block your account without any warning and/or explanation. Their support is totally absent. Their customer services couldn't care less of your situation and not willing to help you out. They told me "too bad."

Mail.com / 1&1 Mail & Media spam is rampant!

Out of the blue, one of my mail.com email accounts was FLOODED with very offensive spam. I keep moving them to the spam folder, but they keep coming, increasing more and more every day! I tried writing customer service, but just kept getting canned responses that didn't even address the problem. I have to clear out hundreds of spam messages every day. These are all easily identifiable spam messages. There is no excuse for mail.com not filtering better. I will be moving away from mail.com as quickly as I can.

Mail.com / 1&1 Mail & Media appalling service!

I think they should stop running their business. Too many unsatisfied customers saying the same.
I am one of them. Stop this mess, guys!
You need a huge update to make people use your service again. Junk is not getting properly filtered, so my inbox is overwhelmed by spam. It's terrible.
Everything is for 2008, so old, not practical and useless. Slow, takes a long time to get one simple email without photos, just a plain text.
Looks like you fired all of your programmers and hired a monkey who doesn't want money from you, just bananas.
That's how I can explain this mess you provide.
Horrible.

I tried accessing one of my mail.com accounts recently and couldn't upon changing the password again I couldn't. I contacted them and they told me my account was deactivated due to the lack of activity which is nonsense. After arguing the point with them, they then said I had cancelled the account which again was nonsense. Eventually I received the following response, which is completely dismissive. It doesn't and won't end there as I intend to take this beyond their rude customer service department. Dear mail.com Member, Thank you for your message and your feedback! Mail.com / 1&1 Mail & Media can't access email

I made a new email account for legal issues and have been unable to access account even once in the past 3 weeks. What a fraud of a company! I trusted them and got the shaft hardcore! They should be shut down. I'm lodging complaints with the BBB, FTC, anywhere and everywhere to save new persons from the misery they put me through. Every ad company on their homepage will be notified also!

Mail.com / 1&1 Mail & Media locked out of account

This is the world's worst email service. I typed in the password wrong on my brand new account and was locked out. Filling out the online customer service form was a complete waste of time. I filled out the customer service form three times after three days had passed since I first requested help. The people at mail.com do not care one whit as to whether you can access your email or not. I searched for their reviews and found that others had the same problem. There is a complete disconnect between the techs and management. The techs seem to be having one big party--as they are completely and wholly unresponsive! I cannot access some needed business emails because of this company's complete indifference!

I twice deleted my mail.com account after experiencing numerous technical glitches, and twice was acknowledged, but mail.com continued to accept messages. I contacted customer support as was told that they could not "delete a free e-mail account for security reasons. They are holding me hostage.
