Mailjet Free Account For Testing
I configured a mailjet free account for evaluation and testing many months ago and all of a sudden I found out that my test emails were not going through. There were no error messages, just emails missing. There was no error message from mailjet they just blocked my account for no reason (without notifying me). There was no "spam" there were no spam reports, it was only low volume testing and they don't even let the processing software know there are errors. They block an entire account just because they don't like ONE subject line. Just bizarre. AVOID.

Email marketing plans and security breach
2d issue with Mailjet. We were hacked. We are an ONG that gives emotional and spiritual help to people. A hacker had access to our account. We reported immediately and we changed our password however the malicious person succeeded to send some emails and upgrade our account. We have essential plan (50k emails) but the upgrade was for a premium plan 500k emails. €151, 85. Fortunately the premium plan was not used…
Since we report it, Mailjet should have put alarms, controls, suspend the account, but nothing. MailJet let everything happened, they did nothing to stop/avoid the hacking. They have not special procedures for these cases, nothing for security breaches. acted too late. The worst was when we complained. Customer service is being rude. They don't want to refund our money (even knowing that the premium plan was not used).
We lost already one week discussing, 15 days of our essential plan (already paid). Instead of supporting us with a simple, "don't worry", "we ll support you", "we ll help you to get back your reputation", "thanks for helping us improving our security procedures", "we will refund you and offer you the time lost", nothing, they just insist with a disrespectful and unfair deal where they pay 50% and we pay 50%... Can you believe it? When I read it, I really though it was a joke, but then the lady keeps "negotiating" with us. Of course, they already saw and confirmed the hacking. They even confirmed that recently a lot of hacking had been reported to them.
Several tickets were opened but so far nothing: [Request #1992590], [Request #1992590], [Request #1995547].
We are in the middle of high email marketing season, we can not campaign and they don't want to give us our money back.
That is how a Christmas is with Mailjet
Is MailJet Legit?
MailJet earns a trustworthiness rating of 91%
Highly recommended, but caution will not hurt.
We found clear and detailed contact information for MailJet. The company provides a physical address, phone number, and 2 emails, as well as 3 social media accounts. This demonstrates a commitment to customer service and transparency, which is a positive sign for building trust with customers.
Mailjet.com has a valid SSL certificate, which indicates that the website is secure and trustworthy. Look for the padlock icon in the browser and the "https" prefix in the URL to confirm that the website is using SSL.
Mailjet.com has been deemed safe to visit, as it is protected by a cloud-based cybersecurity solution that uses the Domain Name System (DNS) to help protect networks from online threats.
MailJet as a website that uses an external review system. While this can provide valuable feedback and insights, it's important to carefully evaluate the source of the reviews and take them with a grain of salt.
Several positive reviews for MailJet have been found on various review sites. While this may be a good sign, it is important to approach these reviews with caution and consider the possibility of fake or biased reviews.
We looked up MailJet and found that the website is receiving a high amount of traffic. This could be a sign of a popular and trustworthy website, but it is still important to exercise caution and verify the legitimacy of the site before sharing any personal or financial information
This website offers payment methods that provide the option for customers to get their money back, which could be a positive indicator of the company's commitment to customer satisfaction.
However ComplaintsBoard has detected that:
- While MailJet has a high level of trust, our investigation has revealed that the company's complaint resolution process is inadequate and ineffective. As a result, only 12% of 8 complaints are resolved. The support team may have poor customer service skills, lack of training, or not be well-equipped to handle customer complaints.
- MailJet protects their ownership data, a common and legal practice. However, from our perspective, this lack of transparency can impede trust and accountability, which are essential for establishing a credible and respected business entity.
garbage, bad or no documentation, non intuitive, crashes, complicated
This program and service is a nightmare, 1and1 customers have been forced to use this rebranded garbage software. Constantly crashes, too many links and options that often are repeated for the same thing. Unreliable, restrictive and has options that will cause spam. The drag and drop has pop ups that get in the way of your work, the html addd box never works and the library of images must always be re-added instead o once
mailjet closed my account after 3 hours
I opened an account and without even sending an email or message through their service they had terminated my account and when I asked for my refund they had said I have violated terms and therefor no refund. Under strict EU directives, they are required to give a refund in the event of a closed account or if they do not wish for me to be a customer.
It is best to go to at least 30 review sites and make a formal review about this bad service as these people must be stopped.

smtp email service
Mailjet closed my account without notice and for unclear reason (see screenshot attached showing terminated account). I have decided not to include screenshot of my conversation with their support team in this review as I don't want to send more people to the job center.. but I can send you the conversation in a PM if you wish. Just contact me. To summarize the support team is totally unprofessional. They did not give me clear reason for terminating my account and they are not answering to me any more.
Mailjet now refuse to refund my credit card while they have not delivered any service to me. This company is a total waste of time and money. If you want to be smart, just skip Mailjet from your wish list and look elsewhere. Do Mailjet's Directors know how bad their client support team treat their customers?
Louis B.
Hi Louis,
I’d like to apologise for your experience with our support team, we are working to improve our support experience for all of our customers.
Please could you send directly to me (contact@mailjet.com) your Mailjet user ID or the email you registered your Mailjet account with and I will look into the issue for you.

suspended account - stole money
They terminated our account that never used, and didn't refund the amount we paid.
They have a non-refund policy without any legal background (without a backing French and/or EU directives/codes) and poorly trained customer service guys think that to they can do that with only writing down to their terms of services part.
I think customer service guys are from oppressively governed countries that they have some difficulty to understand the issue.
It was a little obvious even they don't have any phone number! who knows who they are!
Extremely dissatisfied, I feel cheated.
They did the same for my account... Never used
suspended account - stole money
I started working with Mailjet (www.mailjet.com) two weeks ago. After signing up with Mailjet my account was immediately frozen which is completely understandable due to the number ofpeople who must abuse their service. After resolving this in what can only be considered an extremely slow manner I continued to use Mailjet to send over 15, 000 emails with a spam score of around 0.18%. Pretty Low.
Firstly, the tools they offer are great. However they are similar to the competition such as MAILUP, JANGO, SMTP.com and SendGrid. Out of all four Mailjet is the only one that does not have online support, telephone support or an address on their website where they can be contacted with ease. Not great! The only way to contact them is via a support ticket which they answer at their discretion.
After a small mail out last week and putting all of our marketing efforts into Mailjet our account was frozen. We were told there was a complaint against us. We responded to all of the questions asked including proof of opt in, places on our website where this is possible. We were then ignored. After many emails from my side I received a response advising the email address who had complained. This was not an email on our list or any of our lists. Infact it was a competing company.
We advised Mailjet of this. They have ignored us now for over a week outside of a couple of responses requesting information already given.
I am not sure if Mailjet is a SCAM but currently they have blocked us for no reason and have taken our money. I have waited patiently for over a week for this to be resolved but can see that they just want to ignore customers and hide behind their lack of contact. I found on the internet a phone number for them but it surprisingly goes straight to voice mail. They did not call back.
My advice is do not use Mailjet. SMTP.com is more expensive but they have a sensible response to complaints and you can contact them now by going online to their live support. Mailjet will only respond to you when you are in the sales stage after that forget about it.
Extremely dissatisfied.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I signed up with Mailjet and sent a few emails to myself for testing, then the next day they suspended my account. They asked me a bunch of questions about how big is my mailing list, did I buy it from somewhere, how do I add people to my mailing list. I don't have a mailing list, all the emails I sent were to myself - the same address I am registered on the site with. They handed me off to another team as apparently it was too difficult for them and I haven't heard anything since then. Now they are not responding to my support ticket. Avoid this company, they have no idea what they are doing. At least this happened while testing so I can easily move elsewhere.
Don't use this site avoid those scum
MailJet Is a SCAM. SCAM to Eat your Money. My account was also suspended. It was not at all a Reliable Service. Don't Use MailJet For BUsiness purpose.
Mailjet is most definitely a scam and I have had a very similar experience with them. They charge your credit card, then you look at stats and see that no email has gone out. You open a support ticket and 2 days later you get a reply that your account is frozen until endless verification.
After email finally started going out, the deliverability was a joke, the bounce rate was well over 2% when it was less than 0.10% with the other ESPs we tested. Then they suspended the account again, meanwhile they continued to charge our credit card and we had to call the bank and put a merchant block on our business Visa card for Mailjet to prevent future charges.
My guess is Mailjet is a 1 or 2 man operation, working from home and trying to compete with the big ESPs like Sendgrid but without the resources to send mail properly or to provide any customer support. STAY AWAY!
I've been a customer of Mailjet for approximately a year and have until now been happy with the service they provided, we use it for both transactional mail (purchases) and our newsletter. The newsletter is only populated with clients that opted in during the purchase path. Over the last twelve months our list has grown to about 320, 000 e-mails, we've sent over 2million e-mails in the period and have had no complaints. This all changed as of Saturday morning.
1. At approximately 4am on Saturday service was suspended, no notification, I only found out due to our own monitoring systems reporting that mails where not sending.
2. I raised a 'critical' support ticket at 10am on Saturday morning. I made it clear that this was of the utmost urgency as they had suspended all traffic including our transactional mail.
3. I received a response apologizing for the delay and explaining that I'd received a single complaint via spamcop from a client at 4pm on Saturday afternoon.
4. I responded with proof showing that this client had opted in to the newsletter during the purchase process, I also queried why a single complaint would result in suspension of a whole account (especially when it was 1 in 2 million over a 12 month period!). I asked that they urgently reconnect service particularly in relation to transactional mail.
5. I am now writing this e-mail 36 hours on from the original suspension and 21 hours on from providing the information requested. I find it ironic that this company can suspend at 4am but can't thereafter respond to their client for several days.
This is a business service that I pay a significant amount of money on a monthly basis for and the support has been an absolute atrocity, I would recommend that nobody, ever, relies on this service for transactional e-mails. For mailing lists, perhaps, but only if you are happy with next to no support if someone ever does complain (and let's face it, there is always someone that forgets they opted in or even purchased something from you in the first place).
This service has cost my business time, money in lost business and loss of reputation.
I'm truly sorry to hear about your bad experience. We are doing our best to stay clean and spam free, and the questions we asked mean either you have bad stats or someone complained about your mailings. I apologize if we came across too strict or rude. May you please email me at imane@mailjet.com so I can personally investigate on what didn't work out on your case and give you more details?
Sincerely,
Imane (for Mailjet)
