Pulsar generator
I purchased a generator around the middle of June 2022 I barely used the generator. On May 14,2023 it failed to operate. May 15,2023 I contacted pulsar about the issues seeing that it was under warranty. After several attempts they ask me to send the meter gauge in. I went to the post office paid for shipping shipped it off. After approximately two weeks (and several more attempts to find out what’s going on) they ask me to get a pallet(which I purchased along with straps etc) and got it ready for pick up. R&L logistics picked it up. They’ve had my unit for nearly two weeks(give or take a day) when I call a guy name Jason(good guy just works for this company )answers the call and like myself is unable to reach the appropriate department for answers. No answer or recording says office is closed? However, it’s doing normal business hours? Im without an generator and living in rural Arkansas losing power can be the norm. Last night tornado high winds and yes no power, no generator (more bad weather this week) I paid for a generator to perform not only did it fail to perform I’ve been without a working generator for over a month. Ridiculous PULSAR next step attorney or Attorney generals office I’ve tried
Desired outcome: Refund

Pulsar sent me two defective generators and is now asking me to drive 8hours away to get them fixed rather than refunding my purchase or providing shipping to the maintenance location! This is clearly unreasonable given Pulsar offers a 1 year warranty on its generators.

I purchased a generator from Pulsar through Amazon on June 16, for $800.00, and when it arrived, it had been damaged beyond repair. When I sent the damaged generator back to Pulsar, there was a large plastic envelope which I never opened, assuming it contained documentation related to the equipment, that was included in the return shipment. However, when the replacement generator arrived on July 22, this large plastic envelope was not included with the shipment. My best guess is that the contents might have included a shipping receipt, startup instructions, required maintenance, parts list, warranty response information card, and terms of the advertised two-year warranty. Unfortunately, I do not have any of these items.
I have made repeated requests to have this information sent to me, and to date, the results of this unsuccessful attempt are as follows:
Email of July 22: I sent an email to Pulsar informing them of the missing documentation. Admittedly, I was critical of their lack of professionalism in customer response and performance. This email was never replied to.
Email of August 4 (Sent): I am still waiting for the startup manual and other missing information; can you tell me if it has been sent?
(Reply): Good afternoon, I am so sorry that the accessories and manuals were missing; we will have that shipped out as soon as possible. For future reference, your case number is provided.
Email of September 1 (Sent): It has been over a month now, and I have given up any hope of ever receiving anything from Pulsar. If nothing else, please send the details of the warranty information or give me a link to where I can download this document.
(Reply): Good afternoon, I do apologize for the delay on this situation. I will work on making sure this gets shipped out as soon as possible! As you can see from my last email, I have now reduced my expectations to simply requesting a location to either view or download the warranty terms. I do not expect this to happen either. It should prove interesting that if I ever need to apply for a warranty claim, I can show that from the beginning, Pulsar refused my access to the warranty terms.
I purchased a Ford Generator Model FG7750E on 8/05
I purchased a Ford Generator Model FG7750E on 8/05. I have called the company pulsar/ford over 12 times and left messages. I finally heard back today from representative ***, she and *** told me it is not covered under warranty because of the store I bought it from. It was purchased from a hardware store it was brand new in the box. The warranty does not state this would not be covered. The whole generator is defective. The switch does not work, the battery does not hold a charge.

I already filed a previous complaint on this company regarding their failure to comply with their own policy
I already filed a previous complaint on this company regarding their failure to comply with their own policy. After purchasing a product in spring of 2019 the product failed in fall of 2019. After a failed attempt to repair the product at a local small engine repair shop at the direction of the company and the product I purchased was still under warranty, I contacted the company again and was advised to perform a DIF (Destroy In Field) and a new unit would be sent to me. The company refuses to comply with their own policy and promise to send a new unit. Now, after sending a letter to the Corporate office in an attempt to resolve this issue, I have received another very disrespectful email from a service representative stating my letter has been filed under "obtuse fiction" and this company representative has stated if I retract my "libelous nonsense" from the ComplaintsBoard.com, they would consider taking up my case again. This is deemed as a Quid Pro Quo issue and borderlines on extortion. I feel threatened by the company representative using the term "libelous nonsense" and I am offended by this same representative calling my letters being filed as "obtuse fiction" which degrades my character immensely. It is understood by the statements of this company representative that in order for my claim to be "considered", but not guaranteed, for another review I must retract my initial ComplaintsBoard.com complaint. This will not happen as a company representative sent me a request to destroy the product, which I did as the orders requested. Now the company refuses to follow their own policy and send a replacement unit. I would expect a replacement unit to be exact as the product I ordered and have payed for in full. The company has yet to explain why they will not uphold their own policy after ordering a customer to comply with their destruction orders. A copy of this described email can be obtained by the Pulsar company if necessary as they have included a footnote on the email that I am prohibited from sharing this particular email with any 3rd party. I have not discussed this issue with anybody other the the ComplaintsBoard.com or the Pulsar company.

I purchased this generator and only used it one time for about 5 minutes by plugging a lamp in it, just to make sure it worked. I tried to use the generator a few weeks ago and I could not get it to start. The generator has a 3 year warranty. I contacted Pulsar and advised them of the problem. They went back and forth via email giving me the runaround. They finally agreed to send me a carburetor. I advised them that was not sufficient because I don't know how to install a carburetor. I suggested that I send my defective generator back to them and they send me a replacement. *** the representative from Pulsar said they would not accommodate my request. I asked to speak to a supervisor. I informed them that I would contact the Attorney General of California if I did not receive a replacement generator. A supervisor named *** replied to my email stating that I was threatening them and he could not wait to respond to my complaint. I informed *** that I was not threatening them and just going through all of my legal options for recourse. I also advised *** that threatening people is illegal. Bot*** line this Pulsar generator that was made for Aldi was defective at the time of manufacturing. If a product is deemed defective at time of manufacturing the limited warranty is null and void and the manufacture has an obligation to replace or repair the item to make the cus***er whole again. A defect in manufacturing is one that the manufacturer did not intend. The Third Restatement of Torts is an influential treatise on the law of product liability. It defines a manufacturing defect as occurring when "the product departs from its intended design even though all possible care was exercised in the preparation and marketing of the product." This means that it does not matter how careful the manufacturer was when designing products, choosing materials, creating the assembly line, and issuing quality assurance guidelines. If a poorly manufactured product left the factory and caused injury when used for any of its intended purposes due to the defect in manufacturing, the manufacturer has to pay for any injuries. This is an example of the legal principle known as strict liability. Even though I was not injured because of this defective item the manufacture is liable for repair or replacement to make me whole again.

I purchased a Pulsar generator, and used it one time
I purchased a Pulsar generator, and used it one time. When first used it was defective and certain items were not powered properly. After months of working with support and eventually bring another generator to prove the Pulsar is defective, I tried to contact support to replace it. They refused due to warranty time, however I only used it once and the unit was broken. Here is the email, they were not willing to send a replacement, so I would rather return the defective unit. --- Hi *** & ***, Understanding the situation, I would still like to have the unit replaced, for the following reasons: 1. The unit was only used one (1) time since the purchase since there were no blackouts. When used in August for the first time, we discovered that certain items in the house would not work properly, for example our ductless air conditioner/heater. 2. We contacted Pulsar support in early August and as well as the manufacturers of the ductless unit, and after many weeks could not find the cause. 3. I even went so far as to have an electrician look at the situation who couldnt understand why it failed. Eventually, in the past weeks, we accidentally noticed that the Frequency was showing 70HZ instead of the expected 60HZ. It could be unrelated, but our cable box stopped working shortly after the blackout in August we are not sure of the long term effects of running on 70HZ either for safety or other reasons 4. Pulsar support tried to get a service appointment, but due to Covid, there were no technicians available, and since it has been such an inconvenience for so long, suggested a replacement. 5. Today (9/29), I had ANOTHER similar 7500W generator (Westinghouse) brought to my house from someone else. This was a HUGE inconvenience and a 220 pound unit to bring over and test to diagnose the issue, turning all the power in the house off and on many times. When using this Westinghouse generator, everything worked in the house as expected. When turned off and I plugged into the Pulsar, for example, the ductless units still failed to work properly. Again concerned about safety and damaging these units or anything else in the house. Due to the safety concerns, the months-long ordeal, the one (1) time use, and the inconvenience of having to bring electrician, and spend hours having two large generators to prove the Pulsar generator is defective, I would appreciate it if you could have a new unit replacement as soon as possible, or just take this unit back for a refund. If you are not able to do so, please escalate to a supervisor and have them contact me. Thank you
