I've been travelling with Qatar Airways for 15 years;
The service on the flight is very good and hostesses are very professional and friendly but the food is a big disaster;it's becoming uneatable.
I went to Lisboa on 28/12/2019 for a 7 hours flight;the food was very bad and untasty.I felt like in an indian restaurant with the spices added to the meals.
I can expect Indian food flavor if I'm travelling to India but while travelling to Europe I need at least to have cheese and proper bread.
While coming back to Doha on 02/01/2020 the food was worse: salad was made of pasta, few grains of sweet corn and tiny pieces of green pepper without any sauce not even lemon or balsamic vinaigre which cost peanuts.
Then I ordered the Arabic rice and lamb hoping that I might be able to eat something during my 7 hours flight but also it was a disaster and I felt sick after eating half the portion because I was hungry.
My husband couldn't eat any of the chicken he ordered because it was full of spices.
Then comes the time for sandwiches so I asked the hostess if I can have any fruit cause sandwiches are very bad so she said so sorry we don't have.
I asked for cheese and she also said sorry but we don't have then I asked for some nuts and again the answer was sorry we don't have.
We paid a lot for the trip and I think the least we can have is a proper meal or any alternative.
Since I ate the lamb and rice meal and I feel badly sick because of the spices and tomato.
This is not acceptable from a 5 stars airline;at least keep the option to have any normal snack especially on long way trips:cheese or nuts or fruits are not a big deal for a big company.
Please note that this is not my first experience with food on Qatar Airways but this time it was really terrible.
