On August 13th 2023 flying from Doh-Per QR900, A380. I had paid for a seat upgrade for my wife and I as needed extra leg room being 188cm tall in the upstairs economy area.
This was a long 10 hour night flight. I selected and paid for 30D and 30E and received a confirmation email 21/06/23, Booking reference: 5L94HG and was charged $417.40 for upgrade.
Upon boarding the flight my boarding pass had my seat allocated as 31E which put me in a confined seat with passengers either side of me.
My seat was extremely uncomfortable, I was unable to sleep and had to wake up the person next to me when ever I needed to get up which was often due to my cramped legs.
It was not the seat I paid for and my wife and I ended up travelling apart.
I queried it was the cabin crew but they were unable to explain why I had been allocated a different seat.
I request a full refund due to not getting the upgraded seat I paid for and my wife and I in separate rows.
