I think this is a very good company
I think this is a very good company. The service is great! This is the second time I've used them. The worker was thorough, tidy, on time, and very easy to work with.
**** was extremely professional and exceeded our expectations

I was so happy with Quality 1st
I was so happy with Quality 1st. They guys came on time, finished the job in the time they said, and did an amazing job. Some of my driveway had sunk and they fixed it and patched up the cracks. It was a really professional job. I would totally recommend this company.
Our biggest regret is that we hadn't done this years ago
Our biggest regret is that we hadn't done this years ago. Juan *** & his team were professional in every way. Drains, pumps, dehumidifier, etc installed effectively & efficiently. Our basement was NEVER dry in 25 years and now it's completely dry. It truly has changed our life!
We had the pleasure of working with Nick
We had the pleasure of working with Nick. Nick is a true professional. He's honest and trustworthy. Nick provided a wealth of useful information. With Nick's insights, we're in talks with Quality 1st for our basement project using their wall systems. We're very satisfied with this vendor!
Their work is alright, I guess, but it's tough to gauge since the basement water issues keep resurfacing
Their work is alright, I guess, but it's tough to gauge since the basement water issues keep resurfacing. Maybe it's not entirely their fault. However, their customer service is downright deceitful. They consistently botch appointments. Their manager *** attempts to rectify the situation, but only ends up exacerbating it. They never show up for their scheduled appointments, leaving you waiting at home for nothing. Then they push you to make another appointment.
This company is not honest
This company is not honest. I contacted them to check if I had water damage or not. They said yes and took a deposit. But later, I talked to someone who used to work for them and they said I actually didn't have any water damage. If I had gone ahead with the work, I would have wasted 4K and could have caused more problems by installing the drain in my basement. I talked to the representative, but instead of giving back my deposit, they chose to keep my money. I wouldn't trust this company and I suggest getting another opinion if you're thinking about them.
I'm really happy with the service and results from Quality 1st Basement Systems
I'm really happy with the service and results from Quality 1st Basement Systems. The office got back to me quickly when I called, and they were clear, polite, and friendly. ***, my System Designer Specialist, was easy to talk to and answered all my questions. He explained my options to me in a way that I could understand. It was helpful that I read the manual they sent before meeting with Will, so I had an idea of what he was talking about. *** did the job. The communication was excellent, and they did a great job cleaning up. There was another system installed before that didn't work, and my basement flooded. That's when I decided to spend the money and do it right. I have no regrets! The drain system they installed is much better, and they put in sump pumps and a dehumidifier that has made a big difference in the air quality in the basement. My niece even said, "The basement doesn't feel creepy anymore."
I found Quality 1st Basement through word of mouth
I found Quality 1st Basement through word of mouth. We were looking for a small basement upgrade. After doing a ton of research on products/materials and getting quotes from the most popular local vendors like ***, floor and decor, and local contractors, Quality 1st stood out from the minute their representative spoke on the phone. They sent free brochures, gave a free basement assessment and quote, and put no pressure to purchase their products. I appreciated their honesty the most in suggesting what they are good at and what I should get from elsewhere. We ended up installing vinyl flooring on a semi-leveled cement floor which they did beautifully and at a competitive rate. They were timely, finished the project before the estimated time, and cleaned up really well after themselves. The project manager *** was very patient with all my questions and guaranteed satisfaction. He went over and beyond to implement little bits that he was no obligated to do so at all. Infact there was a problem with one of the columns a few days later which he fixed right away. It was clear that they care about their reputation and the satisfaction of the customer/something very rare these days. I highly recommend Quality 1st Basement for any basement upgrade or finishing no matter how big or small of a job it is and I fully trust their products.
I contacted Quality 1st basement because of foundation and water damage in my basement
I contacted Quality 1st basement because of foundation and water damage in my basement. A guy came to my house and checked the damage on 9/27. They made a contract that explained what work they would do. There was a bathroom in the basement that blocked most of the foundation wall. The contract said I had to destroy the bathroom and make it safe before they started, and hire a licensed plumber to connect the sump pump. After I destroyed the bathroom, I realized the sump pump's original place wasn't good, so I asked a plumber for advice. The plumber said I didn't need a sump pump. On 10/6, I contacted Mr. and asked for another visit to change the contract before they started the repairs. I left voice messages, texts, and emails, but they didn't reply quickly. We made appointments, but they didn't show up. Mr. planned to visit on 10/26, but Mr. canceled it. On Friday, 11/10, we called Quality 1st to tell them about the problems and frustrations we had with the project. We called Mr. and made another appointment for 11/13, but he didn't show up or contact us. When we called him, he said the job was canceled on Friday, 11/12, and they would refund the money because they couldn't do the repairs we needed. On Monday, 11/15, we called Quality 1st, but they didn't have any record of the job being canceled or a refund being given. They refunded my deposit, but now I have to spend $15K to rebuild my bathroom. I wouldn't recommend this company because they lacked character, integrity, and professionalism.
Did great job!
Did great job! The crew got the job done in less than four hours with a crew of six and they left with a much less dust than I expected. I’m impressed With the work done. They know what to do. It was good value. My only issue was it took six weeks to get the job done.

I had a problem with my block foundation, it was all cracked and the blocks were pushed away from the wall
I had a problem with my block foundation, it was all cracked and the blocks were pushed away from the wall. I needed the wall to be reinforced, so I tried calling them 11 times, but they never returned my calls.
I had a drainage system installed and they also did waterproofing on the walls
I had a drainage system installed and they also did waterproofing on the walls. Unfortunately, the walls were not done right and they fell off within a few hours. This caused several injuries to people. They promised to come back the next day, but they have been avoiding my calls ever since. It's been more than 2 months now. I paid a hefty sum of $13,000 and they assured me that it was covered by warranty.
I had a problem with the cement at the back of my house
I had a problem with the cement at the back of my house. It was not leveled properly, causing water to flow towards the house and form puddles at the bottom of the stairs. Quality 1st Basement Systems has visited my place three or four times to fix it, but unfortunately, each time they made it worse. The last person who came even admitted that there was nothing he could do and that the cement needed to be replaced. I've left messages for them, but they never get back to me. This issue has been ongoing since December 4.

I hired this company to lift my driveway and walkway near my stoop
I hired this company to lift my driveway and walkway near my stoop. The lifting of the cement went fine. Myself and wife did not like the way the sealing of the joints looked. It seemed more like a patch. We both decided to stay with trim a slab. However, I was charged $1314.00 for the sealing of the joints. I asked for reimbursement for this amount and have been getting the run around.
In Mid November, Quality 1st Basement Systems put in Helical Pilers to my garage for foundation stabilization
In Mid November, Quality 1st Basement Systems put in Helical Pilers to my garage for foundation stabilization. They dug trenches around the outside walls of the garage to put in the Helical Pilers. This needed a permit and inspection from the township. The township wants a torque report. I called the township and they said they haven't got the torque report. I called Quality 1st Basements many times and asked them to complete the job and send the torque report to the township. They said they're talking to the township and will call me back. I haven't gotten any call backs, but I've called Quality 1st Basements over and over. The trenches are still open and I think they're dangerous in my yard. I want the contractor to finish the work. It's been 7 months since they started the work.
I hired Quality 1st Basement systems to install a french drainage system and sump in my basement
I hired Quality 1st Basement systems to install a french drainage system and sump in my basement. The agreement was that I gotta hire a plumber to remove the baseboard heating in the basement before they start, and then get a plumber to reconnect the heating and a discharge line for the sump after they're done. The problem is that when the workmen finished installing the drain, they put the wall panel back all wrong and messed up the water connection for the heating. So I called Q1 on Monday to tell them about the problem and ask them to come fix it, but they said they can't send someone until Saturday. That means I gotta go without heat for 5 days, and it's getting colder and we're all working from home, me, my wife, and my daughter. They didn't even try to speed things up, even though it's their mistake that caused the problem.
We paid like $20,000 to get our basement waterproofed and then we finished it up
We paid like $20,000 to get our basement waterproofed and then we finished it up. We had water coming in and when we bought Quality 1st, they promised us 100% guarantee, even transferable. We showed them where the water was coming from and they said it was all covered. That's why we picked them. But when I called them in a panic, they didn't even wanna come check it out. They just said we had a lot of snow and it was warm outside. I thought a guarantee was a guarantee, but not with these guys. Finally, they came today to look at the problem and all they do is find loopholes in the contract. They gotta cut our wall and they won't fix any of it. They keep saying there's a small chance the water leak is their fault. It's a joke now. Their system failed and now we gotta fix our finished basement.
I hired Quality 1st to do a poly leveling job on the concrete around my pool deck
I hired Quality 1st to do a poly leveling job on the concrete around my pool deck. The workers made a big mess and sprayed foam all over the pool coping, which caused damage and stains. They said they couldn't fix it and that their "boss" would contact me. I've been trying to get in touch with them to resolve this, but no luck. The cost to replace the coping is really expensive and would require a lot of construction. Instead, I suggested they pay for someone to paint the coping, which they agreed to. But now I can't find a contractor to do the work and Quality 1st has stopped replying to my emails. I've been talking to Kyle Qard about this issue, but he hasn't been responding for weeks.
I had a water leak from the corner of the basement in my *** property in May
I had a water leak from the corner of the basement in my *** property in May . I called Quality First, and they were nice and proposed a solution to remove the insulation from the wall and install foamax throughout the entire basement, not just in that corner. They also recommended changing two window wells to prevent water from seeping in and suggested replacing one of the windows. The cost was around $6000. I asked for their best recommendation to fix the issue, and that's what they gave me. I agreed, and they did the work. However, the window well lids were not properly installed. I called them several times, but they never came to fix it.
Earlier this month, I noticed water leaking in the same corner again. I called Quality 1st basement once more. The original sales representative no longer worked there, so they sent someone else. He assessed the issue and recommended a solution that would cost an additional $2000. He explained that the water was not properly collecting at the bottom, so a new system needed to be installed to collect the water and connect it to the sump pump.
BUT the question is, WHY is water still leaking through the same crack that I had already spent money to fix? I understand the need for additional steps to address the issue further, but WHY is the issue still occurring? I initially paid $6000 to fix the problem, and now I need to spend another $2000 to fix the same issue. I have the email from Quality 1st with their proposed recommendation, and that's what I went with. This means that I could have fixed the original issue for $2000 instead of Quality 1st making me spend $6000. Quality 1st is not taking any responsibility or accountability.
Thank you for your patience
Thank you for your patience. I want to share my experience with Quality 1st Basement Systems. The contract was signed with Kenny T., their system design specialist, on 5/23. The project was supposed to be completed by 7/12, but it took until mid-Sept. There were many problems with Quality 1st. They used old, faulty, and incorrect materials. The employees were unprofessional, not checking in when they arrived and even changing the locks on one door without permission. They also used unlicensed electricians and couldn't provide documentation for their work. Permits were never filed, and the basement was never inspected, even though it was part of the contract. In the summer of 2018, we noticed electrical, wall panel, and trim issues. We contacted Quality 1st multiple times, but it wasn't until fall of 2019 that they sent a new project manager named Mason. He acknowledged the poor workmanship and lack of inspection. We discussed a timeline for corrections, but it wasn't until 7/13 that the work began. It's now 9/6, and while the basement is almost complete, there are still several issues remaining.
Do NOT USE First Quality basement came recommended from a contractor
Do NOT USE First Quality basement came recommended from a contractor. After coming out for an estimate and assuring me they can fix the problem I give them a $600.00 deposit for a $3000 job and work scheduled for 5 weeks later. May 1st Quality came and pumped chemicals under my porch to raise it and pitch it so the water would run off and no longer pool to create a slip and fall or ice hazard. It didn’t work and they returned weeks later (after I complained numerous times) to try again and the manager came said the issue was not repairable and they would refund my money. Seven days later with no refund or phone call, I called and was told by the office that NO, they were not refunding my money and they would be back out to try to fix it again. The supervisor is no longer with the company. This Problem has gone on for months with no resolution. The manager *** insists that I understood it may not work when I agreed to the job, to which I replied that it is ridiculous that I would pay money for a job that leaves my property worse than when they started. After the last appointment I waited a week to see if they would check on the job knowing I was not pleased, and they never called. I called and left a message and more than 3 weeks later still have not gotten a return call. Instead of trying to find a solution they dodge the calls and do not respond. At the first scheduled repair I asked the workers (who were wonderful) what if it didn’t work? They advised that there is a 10-year warranty and they would honor it and make sure I was satisfied. I expected Quality First Basements would take pride in their products and services, honor their warranty and resolve customer complaints. Instead I have a potentially hazardous situation once water freezes in the main entryway to the house, and which could result in extensive damage to my home if it sits against the house and enters the basement. All in all, completely disappointed in this company and left still needing the repairs done.
