i have accidently refill the wrong line and when i looked up how to get a refund and that is very upsetting that they don't want to return my money for a line that i can't use.
They offer low priced phone plans which is nice. However I ordered a phone through them as an offer because of the 3g shut down, the phone they sent me didn't work with the 3g shut down and they never responded to my request to return the phone. They later charged me full price for the phone that didn't work instead of honoring their promotional price. So I ended up with a useless 3 year old refurbished phone that didn't work and still had to buy a phone that would work with the 3 g shut down. I ended up buying directly from Samsung and had to take a loss on the phone I bought from Red Pocket.
Terrible. Been with them 4 years. After 3G shutdown I have been unable to receive "Any" calls. I make make calls but not receive. Was with chat support 2 hours! (yes 2 hours) They could not resolve. They created a "ticket"? and said they would get back to me in 2-3 days?!?! Really? And this is an "approved" att phone volte etc... So after 3 days , Still no answers! I called their help line.. NO answer and it goes into a loop asking for your PH#.. Just bad all around.Avoid Red Pocket at All Cost

Customer service: Philippines AT&T Network: H+ max speed, way under LTE! Mailed me a bad sim card and had to mail a 2nd one. Their own website doesn't work well. They don't have a good data setup with AT&T. I'm moving over to Cricket.

Due to the 3G shut down, my mobile number also got impacted i.e., "No Service" since Monday 2/28. I have been struggling to get back my mobile connection since now, 1) getting support was highly difficult, 2) if connected to support after 1 hr waiting, whomever connected was not polite, no clear/direct answer, long hold on the call and abruptly disconnected at 10 - 15 min (except one time).Till now, Red Pocket could not able to figure out why my service was not working, so I gave up and I have lost my number which was holding for more than 10 years. Red Pocket does not have a capable resource/person to handle it?. Very poor company.

Exactly what John S said (11/30/2020) I just spent about an hour on chat with Red Pocket with them telling me they cannot share my call / consumption details with me because that info is confidential. Come on... The only reason I requested the data is bc they said I somehow consumed over 1000m of calls. Absolutely not possible as I've only been in the country a couple weeks and only using wifi. They also say I've consumed my data and so they are asking me to buy more of each. That's when I contacted customer "support" and got the run around about not sharing with me my information. And yeah - I was expected to know my sim and imei. The quality of the network coverage and call quality is quite good - I am in upper midwest on an iphone - but I have very serious doubts about a biz that is pay as you go and your data disappears and they will not provide consumption information. I'd think the FCC and or CPA would have opinions about that.
Charges customers voice 'minutes' for calls made over Wi-Fi calling
Charges customers voice 'minutes' for calls made over Wi-Fi calling. This policy is contrary to almost 90% of the industry and I believe is designed to make you exhaust your minutes on their cheaper plans and have to add minutes or upgrade to a more profitable plan. When pressed for a reason why they charge customer's voice minutes - they could not come up with an explanation other than to apologize. Secondly, they do not provide customers with any usage data or monthly statement other than a reoccurring charge unless you specifically contact their support department and request one for a specific period of time. You then must provide them with SIM# and IMEI which most customers do not know. After exchanging several e-mails, you eventually get a spreadsheet attached to an email that is not formatted in an easy to understand format. If you have more than 1 line, the only way to combine accounts into a 'family' account is to go unlimited. Converting multiple standalone lines into 1 family account changes the account type and potentially increases the cost of the plans, not decrease them. Other than that - they allow customers with multiple lines to mix-n-match carriers (GSM & CDMA) and their portal makes it easy to see all your lines, when they will cycle, and how much data or voice minutes are left.
Just switched over to Red Pocket yesterday
Just switched over to Red Pocket yesterday. Excellent customer service. Signal and data is just fine. So far, so good.
This is the worst company that I have been experienced so far. I was transitioned from GSMA to GSMT internally, and they kept failing. Without a phone number for two weeks and counting... They did not help with port out number at all and did not want to solve the problem that cause the difficulty of porting out. They kept your number for no reason. Customer service is not helpful at all. No one knows anything. Keep away from this company unless you have a lot of time to spare
They haven't stopped emailing me for years, even though I never activated my service with them. I've unsubscribed multiple times.
STAY VERY FAR AWAY IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO CANCEL- canceling your accoutnt akes forever and is almo
Terrible - they sold me a yearly plan with the ad "call anywhere in the world for free" - but now I can no longer call landlines in Germany, and they can't or won't even tell me how many minutes their "international calling credit" buys me. When I use their chat I ask for a supervisor, and then the chat will close because no supervisor exists or is ever available.
Very satisfied for the past 2 years!
Very satisfied for the past 2 years! Can't beat $20 a month! We had 2 Samsung Galaxy S7 on Red Pocket AT&T, and now have 1 Galaxy S9 (RP AT&T) and 1 Pixel 3a (RP Verizon). When we change phones or plans, usually takes 1 or 2 chats or calls with customer service to get everything working properly, but well worth it for the great prices. We twice had the 1-year service unlimited talk, text, and data (5GB then slower) for $240 prepaid (Find it on eBay). We never used even 2 GB, so we recently changed to unlimited talk, text, and data (3GB then slower) for $19 a month. Other plans are available. No refunds, so I would recommend going with a monthly plan to ensure you like it and it works for you.
Really dissatisfied with this Company. Not only did they not respond to 5 emails , they don't respond to Customer Care Support. Rediculous and not professional but hey what do you except these days ! Because money grows on trees !
Their 888 number doesn't work. They don't respond on chat (I waited 2 hours to get to an agent, only to have zero response for 30 minutes. They say they offer help, but they don't.
Slowest customer service! Longest wait times. My 3GB plan runs out when my phone says 2.6GB used. On the monthly renewal date, the counter doesn't restart at midnight...it restarts "between 6 and 9 pm" according to customer service.
I have had Red Pocket for a few years. My phone will just randomly stop having phone service. I can still text(when on wifi) but cannot place and receive calls. It has happened on multiple occasions where I can only make emergency calls. The customer services techs do not know how to get the phone to work. I have a Samsung Note 9 which is compatible with other phone plans but they do not have the proper tech support to provide phone service. They believe that it is perfectly acceptable to pay for a phone plan but then to not provide the phone service for multiple days. They apparently don't work on weekends either(only bankers hours). This time I had to take a day of PTO to sit on chat with tech support trying all of the different workarounds to get phone service again. They eventually told me to contact them again in 48hrs if the phone did not start working. This response is unacceptable considering I paid for phone services for these days as well. It isn't a pay for the day the phone works plan. I paid and they aren't providing the service.

This company charged me three times for a 1 year plan in a very short period of time without notice me because I selected autopay. The plan is 1 year/$99. Clearly I don't want to prepay for three year in advance.

I purchased SIM card for 12 months of cellphone+data service for $90.93 tax included on ebay on Dec 1 2021. Order number is 16-***-62299. I tried to activate it, but wasn't able to. I talked to online support, and was told the SIM expired. There's no mention of any dates on the order form anywhere other than "Return window closed on Jan 7, 2022". I'm not trying to return, only trying to activate. Please refund or activate!

complete scam this company has cheap plans that rip off people trying to survive that can't afford 50$dollar at least a month for a phone so they opt for red pocket to save money to survive and find that they got ripped off. 180 $ Year plan that works for 2 or 3 weeks so they don't have to refund, or your on hold with there customer service so long it voids your refund. then they got your money and you have a SIM card to look at that doesn't work. I'm sure some people got rich off the poor with this... so you need to leave a phone # on lots of apps and things involving any kind of account with verifacation, I wonder if they want a number to use because if you have Red Pocket there's a good chance you will have to get a new number and reset it to all your accounts access them and hope they don't sell your info!
I had 2 lines for my kids to have service on Angel Watches. The watches could never connect to the cell service, I understand, it happens. But trying to get it fixed with Red Pocket, they just blamed the device for being faulty, both of them apparently. Then, when trying to cancel, you have to call them and talk to them, but the wait times are very long and when you tell them you want to cancel, they 'put you on hold for a minute' and never come back. You can't cancel without talking to a person and as soon as you tell a person that you are going to cancel, they put you on hold. Absolutely terrible service and they are just looking to get you to sign up and then ignore you so you keep the service. I will never use them again and I regret using them to start. Put on hold forever, never come back and you can't cancel. This is highly unethical and dishonest.
