I have NEVER had issues renting an apart until just recently. I was denied by an apartment based on “severely late payments” however when I ordered report all I saw was green which indicates on time payments. I’m currently having the same issue with this company. I’m in need of moving ASAP from my current landlord because we have been here for seven years with mold and other issues, so we just want to leave! Unfortunately, every single apartment complex I have applied to my application has been denied due to “late credit card payments and/or charge-offs”. How is it that throughout the rental screening everything “meets the requirements of the property”, but we’re getting denied? I have a husband and children and now we’re having to either move into a darn hotel or with family (which I personally do not want to do) just because of bs credit report! Like this is absolutely “organized crime” at its best and making people’s lives miserable! This isn’t right!

On 11/8/23 I submitted an application for an apartment I was ready to move into immediately. RentGrow provided a screening and returned the results to the management of the apartment I applied for stating "Reject Applicant." The reason given was, "severe judgements/suits or repossessions or voluntary surrender." Needless to say, I do not, nor have I ever had any judgements, suits, repossessions, nor have I ever voluntarily surrendered anything. Throughout the rest of the screening report, it shows "meets property requirements" along with zero court filings, and zero criminal cases. How can they make such an accusation without any legal documentation, or, at the very least, allowing me to refute.
I have a lawyer looking into this to dispute the allegations and have RentGrow update my screening report and remove the derogatory allegations as soon as possible so I do not lose the apartment.

Hello, I'm relocating for a new job but facing housing issues due to RentGrow's denials.
Hello, I'm in the process of trying to move before I start my new job. I am now facing potential homelessness after my lease is up because RentGrow keeps denying my rental applications, costing me a lot of money. They deny me due to credit issues and a collections account, but the credit score they report from Experian differs from what I see on Experian, leading to a dispute. The collections account is settled, as shown by the attached letter to my applications. Despite exceeding income requirements and having a perfect rental history, my applications are denied based on incorrect information. I applied on June 3rd and was denied; at that time, I didn't dispute because I lacked the settlement letter, although the credit score was inaccurate. On June 16th, I applied again and was denied; I disputed on June 18th, as they cited the wrong credit score and a settled collections account, for which I provided proof. Having just graduated college, I'm concerned about becoming homeless, as many apartments rely on this company for credit checks, yet they disregard complete applications and focus on an erroneous credit score.

I was denied a lease for a property due to a report by RentGrow saying I was evicted in 2018. The lease start date for this supposed eviction took place when I was a legal minor. I never leased the property listed in this report, my estranged father did. His name is *** and my name is ***. I do not understand how this mix up took place given the vast difference in age and social security number, which was provided. I have zero civil or criminal cases on my record. This FALSE notice on my report is preventing myself and my four mouth old daughter from renting a home before our current lease expires in one month. I need this corrected as soon as possible or my and my daughter will face possible homelessness.
On 10/26 I applied for an apartment and was denied due to severe charge off accounts and poor payment history. Neither of these things are true. I pulled my report and I have 100% payment history as well as only one charge of account that is in dispute because it is not accurate. That is not severe! I was instructed by the apartment complex to wait until 10 days til move it to apply to avoid additional fees so I waited thinking there would be zero application issue. I now am about to be homeless with a 4 month old baby due to a rejection based on false information. Ive called and called and cant get on the phone with anyone and I submitted an online dispute that can take up to 30 days but I dont have 30 days. The apartment complex also notified me that all local properties use rentgrow so I will likely not be approved anywhere now that I have this rejection. This has got to be criminal. Fair housing and fair credit reporting my a*** They need to be investigated. Reading other complaints it is clear they having shady business practices and are putting a lot of people in very scary situations.

Wildwoods in 2017 has already been resolved, paid, and deleted. I still have the documents and recordings of the last phone call with the collection company. They even removed it from my credit reports because the findings were inaccurate. I have attached some of the receipts to clear my report and name. This issue has been resolved since 2020, my rental application for *** was approved, why would it be approved at Farmhaus? I have great rental history at ***. Because of the third party, Rent Grow, inaccurately investigating my rental history, I was denied my rental application 13 days before I was scheduled to move in. My current lease ends on June 30th and I have no where to go. I am distraught.I want RentGrow, Yardi or ScreenWorks to change the status or nature of my application. Its been 7 years and I want to put this behind me and move on with my life. I deserve to live my life because I worked too hard for this! I promise I will not be quiet about this. On August 20, I submitted a rental application to an apartment complex that uses RentGrow for tenant screening. On August 24 I received a conditional approval along with a FCRA Adverse Action Letter. The letter stated my credit score as 619 which I know to be inaccurate. I requested and received my tenant screening report from RentGrow which stated that I qualified for the apartment with a higher deposit.I went to Experian's website and pulled the report along with the score which showed it was 648, not 619. I filed a dispute with RentGrow and notified the apartment complex that my credit score was reported incorrectly. I hope this can be resolved before I need to pay to secure the apartment. It would be ridiculous to pay a full month's security deposit if I don't have to because the wrong score was reported. If we have to pay before it is resolved, I would like a refund.
On August 22nd, 2022,I received a notice from Heritage Apts of ***, that the application to rent an apartment in a 55+ complex, was rejected based upon information provided by a company named Rentgrow, of ***, ***. Upon questioning the management company, specifically ***, I was directed back to Rentgrow. I made several calls to the Rentgrow corporation, none of which were answered, instead directing me to an horrendous website which simply sends the consumer in unanswered circles I received, finally in my email account, an 'explanation ' that no fico scores were used but rather past history( 2015), late pay No consideration was offered to the management company to which I had applied, about my 8 years of impeccable credit history and 700+ scores for both myself and my partner.No contact with a live individual can be made. I want to have them investigated under the Federal Truth in Lending statutes
Moving to a new state for work... I've never had an issue renting an apartment or with a screening company. I am denied for the place I want due to erroneous information in their screening and instead of working with me to quickly resolve the issue since THEIR information is wrong, I am being told that I may have to be temporarily homeless due to no true fault of my own. This company is terrible and I am not sure why anyone is in business with them. It takes a couple of hours to provide the WRONG information but up to 30 or 45 days to correct it? WHY? RentGrow's screening resulted in my application being denied as it claims I have outstanding rent charges from 3 years ago that does not exist. They claimed that I have outstanding charges from September to October when in fact (AS IT STATES ON THEIR REPORT) I have already moved out of the residence by that time. I have legitimate documentation that prove I have no outstanding charges but was told by their agent that they for some reason need to reach out to the original leasing company for additional information and the process could take up to 30 days. It is quite obvious that someone on their end cannot read documents and have no idea what they're doing. The timeline that was given to me is completely ridiculous and the company has no sense of understanding of tenant's situations. On top of this, all of this information had to be gathered by me via phone, not once did they send me an email about the status of my dispute like they claimed they would on their website. I was also sent an entirely separate dispute form as what I can assume is a mistake. This whole situation is putting a massive hold on my leasing process, which very infuriating, especially when I have documentation that prove the reported information to be wrong.
I'm depressed and suicidal after dealing with the unauthorized use of my personal information. Which resulted in this unauthorized item on my credit report. I sent letters over 30 days ago and they failed to get back with me with sufficient validation. After going through the mandatory application/credit check I received email notification on March 24th, 2022 from *** of my approval to be a guarantor on behalf of my daughter. Both my daughter (***) and I sent separate emails within 3 hrs. on the same day (March 24th, 2022) within normal business hours thanking *** but stating we were no longer interested in pursuing the apartment in question. Moments later I noticed $250 was processed. I sent her an email same day questioning her about the charge (see email). She responded the following day saying because we were approved and they took the apartment off the market that the fee was non-refundable. It seems to me that I as the one in the market for a place to reside that I should have a window to decide if I am going to pursue a lease with the Kentom - after deemed financially qualified to co-sign. Then on March 27th, 2022 I received notification/document (see attachment) from RentGrow saying my application was denied for reasons of *No Credit Experience and *Insufficient Income to Support Rent" .. which is an obvious contradictions. As *** reason for taking the $250 fee was because we were approved and because they supposedly took the apartment off the market.

This company inaccurately reported my credit information to an apartment I was applying to - leading to my denial (It was incorrect by over 50 points, and they reported a number that it has not been for some time). I contacted them, and once they learned on the phone that I wanted to file a dispute of their report on my credit information - they hung up.You cannot file a dispute on their dispute portal online. You cannot print out a print copy of their dispute form to email to them. They will not respond to my emails, and now I have lost out on an apartment for which I should have been approved (my parents signed on as guarantors in addition to me, they did not even account for this when conducting a background check on my application and did not run a check on my parents either, they reported I had no income - I am in school, but did not consider my parents income at all).
Waiting for a supplementa criminal history report for over a month to get approved for an apt that I have laid a deposit down on and I DONT have a criminal record. This company wont let you file a complaint on their website; the website just keeps taking you back to the home screen when you try to download an ID to complain about the extreme length of time for a criminal record with nothing on it . I will find an apt that does not go through this awful screening service and probably already be moved in by the time they send it back with nothing on it . RentGrow, *** sent false information to ***. I applied for an apartment last week and I received an adverse letter from RentGrow saying I didn't meet the rental requirements. There is no way they would have had access to my credit because there is credit freeze on all 3 of the credit bureaus. They have been in effect since 2019 or 2020. I am highly upset because due to the false information sent my future apartment is at risk. The company has a bad reputation of doing this. There are several reviews on *** for other people with the same issue. They didn't even run both credit reports. There was two people on the application. It was me and my mother. I am. very disappoint and hurt that they would provide this type of information. I want them to correct my report.

The community was not able to provide me an explanation, and said I had to request the screening report. After 2 Days I Finally received the screening report. And showed that I had an Outstanding balance to a previous apartment. (Nothing on Credit and No Collections so this was odd), I called the previous APT (*** in ***, ) and they show that there is no outstanding balance no late or missed payments, and there was a refund issued on my account. They stated they have never placed an outstanding balance on my account and that the issue is RentGrow reporting wrong. As they are a property that also uses rent grow as well, they attempted to call the company to get it corrected, but are not able to reach anyone. I have also filed a dispute and (Ref Number - ***) have not received an update and attached all documents showing a *** Balance the property sent me. TheProperty is also more than willing to discuss with rentgrow to get cleared, but cannot get through to anyone. This has caused immense stress as I am relocating states, and 95% of Apartments utilize this company as their screening. So I will get declined anywhere I go. The issue lies with RentGrow as Per the apartment with outstanding balance on the screening report "We have never had any outstanding balance reporting on the account". This needs to be resolved ASAP as I HAVE to have a place to live. There is no number to be able to speak with a rep and get this resolved which is beyond infuriating.

The apartment property management company called me just hours after submitting the application to tell me it was denied and gave me a customer service number for *** to call to find out the reason as most likely it's something we can fix. This is very important to me as I live in ***, *** and my daughter is moving down here with me on Aug 30th. She is coming all the way from ***, *** and has made arrangements for the move on that date. I currently rent a room from a friend, so I have a very limited time frame to get moved into something fit for myself and my daughter. My apartment locator and I cannot move forward without the results of the consumer report. I have tried calling RENTGROW several times and am never able to speak to anyone. When I ask to request the report, their voicemail prompts me to go to www.rentgrow.com to request it as they have very long wait times then the phone hangs up on me. Their website does not work, and I have not been able to submit the request. I found an email to contact them at and did so yesterday morning. No response. I NEED the results of this report ASAP and I am getting very frustrated. There is also an option to mail in a request but from *** to MA could take a while then there is the probable chance that they will not even respond and if they do it will not give me enough time. Please help me with getting in touch with them at your earliest convenience. I would like my report emailed to me asap and refunded the $320 I had to pay them for this headache.

After two years they realized that there was black mold in the apartment that I was living they moved me to another one without any screening any extra fee or anything. My daughter I need to move out on her own so we decided that it would be easier for me to move to another apartment and her to stay in the two bedroom we currently shared. I told the Manager thats what I needed to do to move to a one bedroom and she said you have to she never said anything about going to the screening process nothing until I went in and said OK Im ready to move to the one bedroom. Leasing agent told me you have to go through the whole screening process. And I was denied because I had a charge off on my account now that charge off is associated with a *** agency where I still pay the debt its just at a slower pace. I disputed their decision and they didnt even take into consideration anything they automatically with an hours sent it back to me and say nope we stand by our decision. I got approved for an apartment complex two minutes from where I currently live. The apartment wouldnt let me out of the lease until the other girl that was moving in with my daughter got cleared.. well dont be shocked they also did not get cleared for the same reason this is biggest bull c*** Since Ive had this paying off the cards that have under this *** I have refinanced my car I bought a car yeah so I can buy cars and I can refinance cars but I cant move into an apartment complex that already live in for four years. Im so tired of going back and forth with this stupid company. People have lives, people have spouses, and people have kids. Yall are preventing me from keeping a roof over my family head because of misinformation yall refuse to correct. First yall lied and said the information came from Experian. Then when I file a dispute yall said it came from Transunion. Which one is it? It dont work like that, and shouldve been deleted for that reason alone. If you get your information from one source, you cant turn around and say another source provided it. Furthermore yall have yet provided me any proof of that record. No contract, no eviction, no type of paperwork to verify who I am, nothing. How can something be on my record that NEVER been on my credit. I have credit screenshots of my credit from 2018 to now that shows none of that information on it. Lastly when somebody files chapter 7 bankruptcy EVERYTHING is included. Any debt Ive ever had was discharged in my bankruptcy. Which is another reason that incorrect record shouldve been deleted. Ive filed 2 disputes and yall are still not deleting it and trying to keep updating dates, which would still be incorrect if the *** record shows 2018. Just delete this incorrect record. I have been reporting to finra for at least 5 months now and *** since 2017 but they still continue and now rentgrow is in the way of me having to get another place because these people are stalking me. Today I was turned down by Holiday Hills apartment and they didn't even have my new last name as ***. I've changed my name twice from my grandmother's name who retired from the *** as *** as of December 20th through Judge Potter and his replacement as of October 18th through judge *** with this apartment that I now live in that is through ISELTWALDS INVESTMENTS that's currently on my section 8 document and now I'm having problems with the Hamptons Apartments as well then I owe them money that I don't because these people were coming in my home acting like they work on *** live and probably do work on *** live that'll through *** that was also on my section 8 document but unfortunately my caseworker and her superiors refused to listen to me as I beg for two years asking them to change my name and they did not change my name until December 16th.

I have frozen my credit report I have a police report I have filed complaints all the way with the federal government *** is aware and provides me with a special Identity theft pin number. I explained all this to the company they didnt want any of my paperwork they didnt care for the police report anything from the ***! They were rude to me every time I reached out to them and said *** disputing this rejection because Ive been a victim of identity theft , they then said they were doing some type of their own investigation but could never tell me what investigation they were doing, they never allowed me to provide any information about what happened to me. Theyve been send me this long email about how to protect yourself from identity theft reject the application again and then tell me that maybe I should look into my credit to see how I can fix it. I applied for an apartment at Residences at Pamona on August 11, 2022. Less than one hour after applying, I received an email from Rent Grow, stating that my application was denied due to insufficient rental history, and an Experian credit score of 547, both of which are incorrect. I am 46 years of age, and after owning a home for many years, have had a perfect consistent rental history for the past 10 years. There is absolutely no way that this company called my rental references in the short time before making their decision. My rental history is impeccable, and at each place I've rented, my rent was almost double the amount of the apartment I applied for. Moreover, I contacted Experian to confirm my actual FICO score, which is over 100 points higher than what Rent Grow stated, as verified by phone. I have maintained excellent tenancy at my last two rentals. My credit score, as per Experian, is significantly higher than what Rent Grow reported. As a disabled woman who has been renting luxury apartments for over a decade, this inaccuracy has left me without housing. I demand this issue be reviewed and rectified. I have also lodged a complaint with the company today. The claim that my information was verified and reviewed accurately is dubious, especially since there is no immediate option to discuss the matter with a representative, exacerbating the situation.

My complaint is in regards to a credit check performed by RentGrow Inc on behalf of a property management group where I filed an application to rent an apartment. I filled out an online application on 10/5 through the property group which included a credit screening to be performed by RentGrow Inc. The results from that initial screening were that there were no obtainable results as I had a credit lock active for my *** credit score. I had forgotten that the lock was in place and immediately too the lock off. Due to the lock, I would have to pay a full months rent as a deposit. I talked with both RentGrow and the property manager and it was agreed that the credit check would be ran again 30 days after the initial screening, to take into account the removal of the credit lock. On 11/9 the property group ran the credit check a second time, this time the results were "No Credit Experience". This would also result in having to pay a full months rent as deposit. The property manager informed me of this information and sent me a screenshot of the results of the credit screening. I immediately called RentGrow Inc, and when I told them about the issue they stated they did not see this second credit check on their records. They responded by telling me that the property group didn't do a second screening and that they should reach out to RentGrow for support. This was in direct contradiction to what the property management group showed me. I have rented at least 3 apartments in the last decade and I have never once had an issue with my credit. RentGrow has not provided an adequate resolution to this issue, and as a result I will have to pay a large deposit to hold onto the apartment. This company needs to be called out so that property groups can choose better agencies to run their credit checks.

Foreclosure? $250?! Unsatisfied! Reasons for the rejection are as follows: direct violation of my rights under FCRA, to have my information be reported with accurate information. I've sent several disputes regarding the inaccuracy provide in their FRAUDULENT claims & they've directly failed in following the guidelines set by law. Their 'stock book script' "Please note that RentGrow provides information that comes from credit bureaus and other reporting agencies." However, this is also a scripted & placating response. If RentGrow is the "Supplier" of the information being kept or provided? Factual disputes ensues. The Implications of three major credit bureaus, which are governed under the same guidelines set by FCRA. The disputed information was supported with appropriate identity theft documents and verification from all three major credit bureaus and nothing was supporting their screening report. Resolution is to remove all negative, adverse parts of the identity theft reports! My personal homeownership History, Employment History, and fictitious foreclosure proceedings, account for history information that is proven to be inaccurate information. RentGrow, replies with a form letter & no accountability!RentGrow has failed to provide me with the necessary information needed to complete follow-up police investigations, FTC reports, or any other pertinent information. They may not directly influence a decision but unequivocally assist the wrongfulness of the crimes! 2x!

For some reason, certain apartments and a credit reporting agency think they can continue to harass me after I submitted my case to you regarding their false misrepresentation of my identity, omitting my last name, and then trying to send me another incorrect copy. I want you to tell the credit agency to remove me from their services because I don't trust them, especially since I have been filing reports against a particular entity for using my identity for over 20 years due to discrimination since the end of November. I have been reporting to their headquarters, and if you look at the credit agency, you'll see that they are located near the same area, so I do not trust whatever they're saying about my identity. My scores are not as they claim. They also used the name of an apartment complex located on a certain boulevard after I had to change my name twice due to stalking, with documentation provided to the housing authority for my housing assistance, as well as all the documents for a court case on December 20th, first approved by one judge and then through his replacement on a date in 2021 with over 50 exhibits in the courthouse. I was the lead security guard for this building before and when it opened, working the night shift. I'm tired of these people misusing my identity and it's all in the name of a certain cause, and I'm prepared to go to court over it. I want them to stop contacting me and I want nothing to do with another complex located near two of my stolen securities. If you look it up, you'll see two landmarks nearby as they stole my money. All this is a conspiracy, and I want these entities to stay away from me because any communication from them is being automatically deleted.

Applied for a property on 5/13, managed by a company, application denied
I completed a rental application for a property on May 13th. RentGrow, a tenant screening service, claimed to have conducted a check and based on their report, the managing company denied my application. An alert from the credit bureau indicated an attempt to access my report, prompting me to unlock my credit. The first email from the managing company on May 14th informed me of the denial and directed me to RentGrow for details, as they couldn't dispute or accept documentation. After disputing with RentGrow and contacting the managing company about a potential issue with my initially locked credit report, I was told to rescreen. Despite this, a second email confirmed the denial hadn't changed. I suspect RentGrow didn't perform or repeat the credit check, as my credit monitoring showed no new activity, and my co-applicants' credit wasn't checked either. My options seem limited to disputing, which hasn't progressed, or filing a complaint with Complaintsboard.com. While I've read several complaints about RentGrow, I can't fully exempt the managing company from responsibility, as their continued use of RentGrow for screenings raises concerns, though I have no concrete evidence of collusion.
Rent Grow won't give written notice to delete a hard inquiry from my credit report
Rent Grow refuses to provide me with a written notice to remove a hard inquiry from my credit report. Rent Grow is affiliated with a company I used to partially complete a rental application. I communicated with Rent Grow and the company from January 30 to February 4. I left the application incomplete, deliberately omitting my social security number and ID, to learn if they would conduct a soft or hard credit check. Consequently, I withheld this information and also wished to view the rental property firsthand. I was alerted by a credit monitoring service about changes to my credit report. Upon checking, I found Rent Grow listed. Contacting the service, an agent confirmed they couldn't have made the inquiry without my social security number and would have emailed me if my application were complete. The agent advised contacting the listed company for clarification. Rent Grow claimed the inquiry was on behalf of the other company. Recontacting the service, the same agent was perplexed, reiterating the necessity of a social security number for such a check. I asked for a supervisor to call me back. Instead, a leasing agent from the company called, claiming credit could be checked from an incomplete application. I countered with an email from their agent stating my application was incomplete without additional details, including my social security number. The leasing agent was unaware that credit could be pulled without a social security number, yet it had occurred. This will affect my credit due to their misleading actions. I intentionally didn't provide my social security number and ID because I needed clarity on the type of inquiry they would initiate. After discussing this with Rent Grow on February 4, they declined to assist. I proposed showing the email from the company's agent, which highlighted the need for my social security number to conduct a credit check. If such information was necessary, how could they proceed with the credit pull? This is an unfair and misleading practice. I have filed an investigation with Rent Grow, but they are uncooperative since I submitted an incomplete application without my personal details. I insist that Rent Grow sends a notice to the credit monitoring service, admitting the credit pull was a mistake, and to remove the hard inquiry immediately. Furthermore, I should receive a copy of this notice for my records.
