Customer service excellence
The resume builder itself was very easy to use with a lot of options and details to help create a great resume. As I only needed to use it to print 1 resume for a one time use. The charge for that was like $1.50 very reasonable. They give you a certain number of days to cancel your subscription before they charge $40 to continue your use, however I had an issue getting back to a computer to cancel my subscription and was charged the $40 fee. I called their help desk and got a representative (Victor) immediately with no wait time. I explained him the situation and within 2 mins he canceled my account and credited my bank account the full amount. The level of ease and professionalism from the representative was incredibly impressive. He was so helpful and if I were to ever need to use a resume builder again I would definitely join their website and will be referring them to friends and family. I really appreciate how easy they made canceling my account. A special thank you to victor the rep I spoke with for being so great at his job!
Inquiry on $19.95 charge
I was charged on $19.95 my credit card. I called to cancel the subscription for one email and not only did I find out that email did not have a credit card linked to it, but I was informed that with that same email I also had an account at another site. We were both worried about the charge because my credit card wasn't linked to either account. However, the lady was extremely helpful and she offered to look a charge made to the credit card based on the last four digits. We were able to locate my account and she explained how if I didn't unsubscribe, the computer would automatically keep on subscribing me. Therefore, she cancelled my subscription. She was worried I did not find the site helpful but I told her I only needed this app for 14 days as I only needed a resume template for a school project and I wasn't really looking for jobs. After understanding this, she very gently helped me get a refund back on the $19.95. Best service I've had and I'm more willing to use this site again because I know I will be taken care of and treated fairly.
Jabber
I was very frustrated when I called.
I didn't realize that I had been reconnected with the old account...my understanding that the cover letter that I had started, was actually a free "cover letter assistance" that was posted. I had started to work on the letter and everything was fine, left it and when I came back to the letter nothing would could up to my speed to type/think! I felt exasperated! Why? I did not realize that I was actually being reconnected with my old account and that I was being awaited for a payment?...really I had no notification of the billing that was required.
Jabber, walked me through the process and helped me greatly. I ended up feeling much more at ease: He helped me by sending me my old profiles and was very patient and kind.
You are very lucky to have such an aware customer service worker who cares. I am so impressed and actually ended our call with a smile and very happy.
I hope that this gets recognition as for as grumpy as I was and confused, Jabber was a great help. If I have to call back again I hope that I have the opportunity to work with him again!

Jerickson O
I have written one other review in my life for any organization however, I was compelled to do so today. I have been working diligently on working, ie looking for a job. I have been out of the world for quite some time caring for my aging mother. As I have returned to the world I have found that there have been some changes. The change that stands out far more than any other is a horrible lack of attention and empathy in many areas but customer service is the most apparent. I have done nothing but serve my entire professional life so this has been shocking to me and then today, I required some technical assistance and executed an online chat, that's when I discovered a sparkling light from a rare customer service agent called Jerickson O. This individual should not be personally handling customers HE SHOULD BE TRAINING THE REST OF THE CUSTOMER SERVICE STAFF HOW TO HANDLE CUSTOMERS. I know his range of help he could offer was intentionally limited, but I felt by our exchange that he really wanted to do more. Its unfortunate people who are capable are not permitted. So Thank you very much Jerickson O.
Please Check It Out - Highly Recommend! Wonderful Resume Service
Let me start off by prefacing that I don't write reviews often. However, this is a truly awesome service/site and I feel compelled to share my review.
My Perfect Resume provides a very user-friendly approach, clean, professional looking templates that you can download/save to your computer in one click, helpful tips on how to improve your resume (what you did well on, what things may be missing), and smart suggestions to help you achieve both powerful and effective wording and eye-catching summaries throughout your entire resume.
Within 24 hrs of sending my resume (which I fully created using My Perfect Resume), I got an interview invitation for my dream job. Not kidding, this is100% true.
I was also thoroughly impresssed with My Perfect Resume Customer Support Care team. Within five minutes of contacting Customer Support via email regarding a subscription question, they had wrote me back. The service I received was honestly outstanding-- throughout our entire interaction, they were very friendly and helpful in answering my questions. I would highly recommend My Perfect Resume to anyone looking to improve their resume and/or career. 5+ stars!
Customer Service/Help Line
I called the customer service number and was really pleased with the experience. My call was answered right away and the employee I talked to was super helpful, friendly and genuine. I do not like how the website automatically charges you month after month without sending any confirmation emails or notices. I paid the small fee for the 14 day trial, but I ended up not applying to jobs right away and got in a terrible car accident soon after, so I did not need to use the site. I was unaware that they would charge me 20 bucks a month. I did not go on the site till now because I am finally feeling better and can start applying to jobs. I wanted to reuse the website (pay the membership), but after my experience I am a little uneasy because I don't trust the website with my banking info and a good website/product should not do that to their customers. Thankfully, the representative I talked to was kind and understanding. He was efficient, while providing more than enough information and he seemed like he really wanted to help me with my application process and getting a job. He convinced me to use the site again, but I would still like to talk to the manager.
Excellent service, Excellent customer support
First let me start by saying the service is very moderately priced. What you pay for is essentially a template and a word processor that is accessed straight through your browser. The service is immensially helpful for creating a resume packed full with commonly used formats and easy to use templates. Creating a resume was something I really didn't pay attention to about in school, and when it came time for me to create my own I really didn't have any idea where to begin. I'm more of a hands on learner so I found simply reading about it not the easiest task, and this site allowed me to get accustomed to what should go on a resume and helped me create one and download it in many different formats so easily.
Now, with that out of the way, pricing is a little weird. So for an entry level price, its I think 5$ for the whole month, and after that the price goes to around 20$. I find this to be absolutely reasonable considering how hard it can be to create a good looking resume and even get it in the correct format some job sites require for some reason.
But, in my situation, I was not able to afford the service for this month of July, and the customer service of this site is what really takes it from 4 stars to 5, this site has around the clock chat service (which is something I've been really enjoying to see pop up everywhere.) and boy are they helpful. They were able to cancel my subscription AND give me a full refund for the month. Such polite and helpful support comes together for a really helpful service and makes this site a home run! Thanks again!
Resume Now Review: Deceptive Trial Subscription and Poor Customer Service
I decided to give Resume Now a try because I needed to create a resume quickly. I was happy to see that they only charged $1.95 for a trial subscription, so I agreed to it. However, I was a bit annoyed when I found out that I couldn't download my work without the subscription. They should have made that clear from the beginning.
I made sure to set a reminder for myself to cancel the subscription before the trial ended. I didn't want to be charged $39.95 a month for something I wasn't going to use. I even wrote a note in my planner to make sure I wouldn't forget.
Two weeks before the trial ended, I cancelled my subscription. Or so I thought. It turns out that I had only deleted my information and not cancelled my subscription. I didn't realize this until the company charged me twice in two weeks. That's like a double mistake!
When I called to complain, the supervisor told me that it was an error and that my funds would be refunded. I was relieved to hear that, but I still have zero confidence in this company. According to the customer service rep, my account has no name, no email, and no verifying info. All they have is my credit card number. That's not very reassuring.
I did get my money back, but I'm still not happy with the way this company operates. I have a cancellation confirmation number, but I don't trust that this is the end of my issues with them. I've already notified the attorney general in my state, my bank, and my credit card company. I hope that others who have had similar experiences will do the same.
Overall, I would not recommend Resume Now. If I could give them negative one million stars, I would.
Beware of this Scam Website: Sneaky Charges and Poor Customer Service
This website is a total scam. I didn't wanna sign up for the "free trial" because I didn't wanna risk forgetting to cancel my membership. So instead, I chose to pay 50 cents per resume. They sent me an email verification of the payment and I was happy with my resume. Then on December 25th, I checked my bank statement and saw a charge from this website for 23 dollars. I was really confused because I never signed up for a free trial subscription and they never sent me an email confirmation of this payment for 23 dollars. Since they were closed on Christmas, I contacted them on Dec 26th and told them of the issue.
They were rude and dismissive on the phone and said they could only give me back half of my money because it was past the 24hrs of when they took it out of my account. But they took it out on the 24th, I noticed it on the 25th and couldn't contact them because they were closed. And as I said, they emailed the confirmation of the 50 cents being taken out of my account but DID NOT let me know they took out the 23 dollars. If they had sent that email, I would have at least been able to contact them within 24 hours.
Please do not use this website. Extremely misleading and try to sneakily take money from your bank account without notifying you. As stated previously, I never utilized their free trial and paid for each resume to avoid a situation like this. But once they have your number on file, they will continue to bill you, not email you a confirmation of payment, and then refuse to give you back the money you never authorized them to take. Pretty despicable.
Resume Now Review: Quick, Easy, and Professional with Excellent Customer Service
I stumbled upon this website, Resume Now, when I was in dire need of a quick and easy resume. My current job was about to shut down in less than a month, and I needed to start applying for new jobs as soon as possible. To my surprise, the website had several templates to choose from, making it easy for me to create a professional-looking resume. The templates were broken down into segments, and each segment had pre-written phrases that I could choose to use, which related to my experience. I could also customize those phrases to make them more personalized.
After finishing my resume, I was pleased with how it looked, but I wanted to cancel my membership before I got charged for a month of service use. I called the customer service number, and a friendly person named Steven Castro answered. He completely changed my view of the service! He explained to me the value of the service and how it could help me find a job 80% quicker. He also helped me see that losing my job could be an opportunity to go in a new direction, something that would be more meaningful to me than what I was leaving behind.
Steven's kind voice and helpful attitude really made me feel like he cared about my situation. He helped me understand that I could benefit from all the tools that Resume Now had to offer, which I had previously shrugged off as unimportant. I truly believe that Steven is a great asset to this service, and I am grateful for all his help and time.
Overall, I highly recommend Resume Now to anyone who needs a quick and easy way to create a professional-looking resume. The website is user-friendly, and the customer service is excellent. Thank you, Steven, for all your help!
Resume Now Review: Confusing Cancellation and Prorated Refund Process
I recently tried out Resume Now and unfortunately, it wasn't the best experience. I initially signed up for the service but forgot to cancel right away, resulting in me being charged $24.95 per month for two months. I was shocked to find out that this would have continued for the entire year, resulting in a total of $300 per year for this service.
When I finally decided to cancel, I waited on hold for 30 minutes before trying the chat option. I was able to speak with Patric, who was friendly but not very transparent. I immediately told him that I wanted to cancel and that when I tried to cancel on the site, I was offered a much lower price of $4 per month or $24.95 per year. This was $20 less per month or the same annual price as what I was paying for just one month.
I asked Patric to match my monthly fee to that offer before cancelling so that I would only be billed the same amount as the offset they were giving to those that were cancelling. He advised me to accept the offer and then he could refund me so that my account wouldn't cancel. I asked if I needed to keep the account in order to get the refund and he advised that I did not. Since I wasn't using the service, I decided to cancel anyway.
Patric came back with a prorated refund of $16, which was generated by the system. I asked him to clarify what was being prorated since I had paid $50 for two months and that is not prorated at all. He then told me that he had explained this to me if I cancelled. I was confused and frustrated by his response. Instead of explaining how the prorate works and telling me that the system does it, he just kept asking if he could help me with anything else.
Overall, I appreciate the $16 credit, but I'm still confused about the prorate and won't be using Resume Now again. If they can charge someone the same amount monthly as they give to those who want to cancel for a year, it seems like a fraudulent practice.
Frustrating Experience with Resume_Now: Poor Customer Service and Technical Issues
I was in a real hurry to get a job and I stumbled upon Resume_Now. At first, I thought it was a great resume engine, but as I started using it, I realized that it had some issues. One of the sections of my resume froze entirely, and I couldn't edit it. I tried to fix it myself, but it was no use. So, I decided to contact customer service through their Live Chat. I spent almost 2 HOURS chatting with the representative, and she told me that there was no issue on her end. She even offered to read the problematic sections to me over the phone, which was not helpful at all. I was frustrated because I was in a hurry, and I needed to get my resume done as soon as possible.
After that, I decided to call their customer service hotline. The representative I talked to was honest, and I appreciated his honesty. He immediately saw the problem that I was describing, and he did everything he could to try and help me. He was an asset to the company, and he did an excellent job.
However, I was still frustrated because I wasted so much time, and I didn't get any work done. I asked for an extension of my account, but the manager couldn't do anything better than a discounted price on next month's membership. I wanted an extension of a week or two, but she couldn't do that. The best she could do was a discount of TWO DOLLARS. I was disappointed because three days and this whole day entirely is worth much more than two lousy dollars! When I asked for her supervisor, she said that her boss doesn't take calls, and the only thing I could do was write a review.
I'm sick and tired of putting my faith and time into something, and being told to spend extra money when my experience was such a dismal failure! I don't think it's fair to ask me to spend more money when I already wasted so much time. I wouldn't recommend this site to anyone. It's a terrible site, and it's not worth your time.
Beware of Hidden Charges: My Disappointing Experience with Resume Now
I had a terrible experience with Resume Now. I decided to try their services to improve my resume, which needed a little extra something to stand out. The $2 template I purchased was actually quite nice, and I was pleased with the design.
However, two months later, I noticed charges on my bank account for a subscription that I did not remember signing up for. I was surprised because I did not receive any emails about the subscription, not even a confirmation email after my template purchase. I even checked my spam box, but there was nothing there.
I contacted their customer service through the agent chat to see if I could get my money back. As a student working a minimum wage job, $80 was a lot of money for me. I explained that I did not receive any email confirmation about the subscription being charged to my account, but the representative told me that it was in the terms and agreements that it would automatically roll into a subscription after my $1.95 14-day Unlimited access that I purchased from them.
I asked if there was any way to reverse the charges, but instead of returning my money, the representative tried to negotiate a price on the service. He even went as low as $3 a month! I was frustrated because I only used their services twice in a week and did not log in during the two months they charged me.
In the end, we ended up arguing after I mentioned the BBB. I was disappointed with their customer service and felt like they took advantage of me. I would not recommend Resume Now to anyone.
Beware of Resume Now: A Frustrating Experience with Customer Service and Hidden Charges
I recently decided to give Resume Now a try and purchased a resume for a low price of $2.85. However, my experience with the company quickly turned sour when I realized that I was still being charged for a subscription that I had cancelled over the phone. I tried calling the company multiple times to resolve the issue, but was met with long hold times and representatives who had trouble understanding my English. It took me about 45 minutes just to get through to someone, and even then, they just repeated my statements back to me without offering any real solutions.
After six months of being charged for a service I no longer wanted, I finally spoke to a manager who promised to refund me for three months and then another three in 5-10 days. While I did receive the first three months back, I never received the other three. When I tried to call the company again, I was met with the same long hold times and representatives who couldn't help me. At that point, I decided to cut my losses and call my credit card company to refuse the charges.
But the story doesn't end there. Resume Now actually refunded the last three months, which matched the reference numbers on my credit card statement. However, my credit card company could only refund the last three months, which meant that the first three months were no longer eligible for a refund. It was a frustrating experience that left me feeling like the company was intentionally trying to keep my money.
If you're considering using Resume Now or My Perfect Resume, be warned that they may not have your best interests at heart. While the low price may be tempting, the hassle of dealing with their customer service and the risk of being charged for a service you no longer want may not be worth it.
Resume-Now Review: Great Templates, Beware of Subscription Charges
I found Resume-Now when I was looking for a free resume template. At first, I was excited because they had a lot of options to choose from. However, when I tried to save and print my resume, I was asked to pay $2.85. I was hesitant at first, but I really liked the template I had chosen, so I decided to pay for the 14-day subscription. They said it was their most popular plan, so I thought it would be a good deal.
After 14 days, I assumed my subscription would end, so I didn't think much of it when I signed up for another 14-day plan 15 days later. However, when I checked my bank statement in February 2020, I saw that I had been charged $24.85 three times. I was confused because I thought my subscriptions would lapse after 14 days.
I tried to cancel my subscription by clicking on everything I could find on the website, but I couldn't find a way to do it. Finally, I called customer service and talked to a guy named Steve. He offered to refund one of the $24.85 payments "as a courtesy," but he also told me it was my fault for not knowing any better. He compared Resume-Now to Amazon Prime and Netflix, saying that they also continue to charge if corrective actions aren't taken.
I was really unhappy with Steve's attitude, so I asked to speak with a supervisor. That's when I talked to Yuner. He was really understanding and said it wasn't their intention to take payments for services unrendered. He wanted their clients to be happy, so he refunded all three of the $24.85 charges and cancelled the remaining subscription from December.
I was really impressed with Yuner's customer service. He went above and beyond to make me happy and to make things right. After talking to him, I felt completely satisfied and will probably do business with Resume-Now again. I learned my lesson and will be more careful next time, but I'm grateful for Yuner's help. Thank you, Yuner!
Resume Now's Sneaky Tactics and Poor Customer Service
I am extremely disappointed with the sneaky tactics used by Resume Now. They offer a 14-day trial membership for only $1.95, but fail to mention that they will charge you if you do not cancel before the trial period ends. This is a clear attempt to trick people into paying for services they never intended to use. A good company would simply offer the trial and leave it at that.
To make matters worse, I recently noticed two charges from Resume Now on my account - one for $19.95 and another for $.40. When I contacted customer service, I was told that I had cancelled my trial period in January 2017, but was charged again in March 2017 with no explanation. The representative, Laura, then tried to sell me another subscription at a discounted price. When I declined, she continued to push the service on me, even though I repeatedly told her I did not want it.
The broken English used by every customer service representative I've dealt with so far only adds insult to injury. It's clear that this company does not value honesty or transparency. As a former fan of Resume Now, I used to recommend them to my friends. However, after this experience, I will not be doing so anymore.
Resume Now needs to get their act together and start being an honest company. Consumers appreciate honesty and transparency, and that's what keeps us coming back and spreading the word to others.
Resume Now: A Legit and User-Friendly Resume Service with Exceptional Customer Service
I gotta say, when I first stumbled upon Resume Now, I was a bit skeptical. I mean, you never really know what you're getting into when you're dealing with a company you've never dealt with before online, ya know? But something about them just seemed...legit. And with a 1.95 14 day trial period, I figured, why not give it a shot?
I've recently started helping folks like military personnel transitioning into civilian life and people who are really struggling to find work but just don't know how to put together a solid resume. So, I thought, maybe using a resume service like Resume Now could help me create more professional-looking resumes than just using Microsoft Office. Plus, the site stores your resumes and even lets you create cover letters and other professional documents. I was pretty impressed with the setup of the site, to be honest. It's so user-friendly that even someone who's never created a resume before could whip up a pretty decent one with the site's guidance.
Unfortunately, I hadn't even been using the service for a week when I got hit with a cancer diagnosis. I had no idea when I'd be able to continue helping people in the community, and I knew that treatment was going to be expensive, especially since I'm disabled myself. So, I decided to cancel the service. But, through no fault of either of us, I think the notice I sent to them got missed. It happens to the best of us, right? They ended up charging me, but feeling sick and not really wanting to get the bank involved, I decided to try to deal with the company directly first. I hopped on their "chat now" feature and was connected with a customer service rep named Patric. Let me tell you, this person was a godsend. They listened to my problem and did everything they could to find a solution that would work for me. Not only did they refund the accidental charge, but they also offered me other services to help me in my efforts to help others, even though I'm struggling myself with my illness. They even let me know that they're always here to help if I need anything in the future. I was blown away by the professionalism and kindness shown by this company, by Patric, and by their supervisor. They took the time to make sure I was satisfied and that I had what I needed to continue helping others who just need a chance, whether it's a veteran trying to transition into a new career or someone who's just desperate for a job but doesn't know how to showcase their skills. I can't thank Resume Now enough for restoring my faith in online companies. Talking to Patric was like talking to a friend, and it's just amazing to me that there are still companies out there that care about their customers/clients. I was about ready to give up, but my interaction with Resume Now has me singing their praises. I highly recommend them, not just for creating resumes and cover letters, but for all their premium services. Thank you again, Resume Now!
Now, I know there are some bad reviews out there about this company, but honestly, I take those with a grain of salt. Some people are just never satisfied, ya know? And it might have helped if they had contacted the company first instead of going straight to the bank. In my experience, it was much easier to deal with Resume Now directly. Don't let a few negative reviews deter you from giving them a shot. They really are a great company.
Resume-Now Complaints 16
Sneaky practices, hidden costs, unexplained bank charges
Can you explain to me why you can't be upfront and clear about the fact that you will charge consumers after their 14 day $1.95 trial membership if they do not cancel. I know the REAL answer is that this is a money making technique used to trick those who don't read every little fine detail into paying for services they never intend to use, otherwise they would have somehow contacted customer service to become a member outside of the 14 day trial. A GOOD company would/should give the $1.95 14 day trial and let that be that. The sneaky ways of your business is what gets you a 1 star rating. Today I noticed two charges from you, one of them was a debit amount of $19.95 and the other was a credit amount of $. 40. I did online chat with Laura who stated I cancelled the trial period in January 2017 and was then charged again on March 22,2017 yet offered no explanation as to why this happened. She instead tried selling me another 1 month subscription at a discounted price, at which time I told her "No, I have been employed for quite some time now and their services are no longer needed." She then stated word for word "I don't want to bother you, but my supervisor was checking this chat for quality purposes, he said that in order to keep you as a satisfied customer and because all of this situation he is willing to lower the price even more, for only $4.95 every 4 weeks. If you really consider it is only just a dollar a week for such a great service." At that point I was pissed and responded "Do you not understand that I DO NOT want this service? I want my money back that was wrongly charged to my account." After being told to please hold a few more minutes while the system was working on my account, I was told that "as a courtesy they have refunded the full amount of $19.95 and to allow 3-5 business days for this to reflect on my bank account." AS A FLIPPIN COURTESY!? Wow. Absolutely disgusted with this company - not to mention the horrible broken English of every customer service rep I've dealt with so far. I used to boast about this company & recommend my friends to them, that will NOT be happening anymore. Get it together! Be an HONEST company, THAT is what we, as consumers like and that's what brings us back and spread the word to others.
Resume-now.com
My daughter signed up for this service. after some months she wanted to cancel this and spoke to a representative. She was offered a discount to stay and she declined and they said they would cancel her subscription. Four months on and she still has the money, $23.85, taken out of her account. We have telephoned multiple times and told the same thing they will cancel this but to no avail.
We are now working with her bank to have the payments stopped, this company is a scam and cannot be trusted.
Desired outcome: cancel all future payments
Do not use this company, you can never cancel these payments. I have telephoned 4 times to cancel and they promised to do this but after four months the charges continue.
Resume Now Review: Great Website, Shady Business Practices
I have to say, I was pretty disappointed with my experience with Resume Now. When I signed up for the 14 day $1.95 trial membership, I didn't realize that they would automatically charge me if I didn't cancel. So imagine my surprise when I saw that they had been charging me $19.95 a month for the past 8 months! I only noticed because my bank account was low and they charged me anyway, which ended up costing me even more because my bank charged me a fee for having a negative balance. It was a mess.
I reached out to customer service and they were actually really nice about it. They refunded me for two months, but honestly, that's not even enough to cover the bank fees I had to pay. And as a student without a job, it's not like I have a ton of extra money lying around to cover unexpected expenses like this.
I have to say, I don't think Resume Now is a very honest business. They should have been more upfront about their charging policy, and it's not fair that they kept charging me even though I wasn't using their service. I used to recommend them to other students because it was cheap and easy to use, but now I wouldn't feel comfortable doing that anymore.
That being said, I do have to give credit where credit is due. The website itself is actually really great. It's user-friendly and has a lot of helpful tools for creating a resume. If it weren't for the shady business practices, I would have been really happy with the service overall.
So, in conclusion, I would say that if you're thinking about using Resume Now, just be aware that they might charge you even if you don't use their service. And if you do end up having a problem, their customer service is nice but they might not be able to do much to help you. It's a shame, because the website itself is really good, but I just can't support a business that isn't honest with its customers.

Avoid Resume Now: Unethical Business Practices and Terrible Customer Service
This company, Resume Now, is not a good choice for anyone looking to create a resume. I had a terrible experience with them and I would not recommend them to anyone. They advertise a low price of 1.95 for a 14-day trial, but a few weeks later they charged me 40.00 without my consent. When I called their customer service, the representative was very rude and unhelpful. I felt like he was laughing at me because I had fallen for their scam. Apparently, they send an email confirming that you have been signed up for auto-renewal, but it is buried at the bottom of the email that confirms your initial payment. Like most people, I did not read the entire email and was not aware that I had been signed up for auto-renewal.
When I asked for a refund, they refused and cited their policy that refunds are not given after a certain date. I only used their service once, on the day I paid the 1.95, and never used it again. It is very disappointing that they make money by scamming people who are already struggling to find a job. This is a very low and unethical business practice. I hope that the Better Business Bureau takes action against them and shuts them down.
Overall, I would advise anyone looking to create a resume to avoid Resume Now. Their customer service is terrible and they are not transparent about their pricing and auto-renewal policies. There are many other reputable resume-building services available that do not engage in these types of practices.
Resume Now Review: Great Templates, User-Friendly, but Beware of Hidden Charges
I found this website called Resume Now while searching for a way to update my old resume. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they had a variety of fresh and modern templates to choose from. The process of updating my resume was mostly easy, but there were a few things that I had to move around to make my employment history look better. Overall, I found the website to be very user-friendly.
The terms and conditions were also straightforward, and I was happy to see that I could get 14-day access to my resume for just under $2. I saw the charge come through on my credit card and got a welcome email, which made me feel good. However, my happiness was short-lived when I saw another charge of around $20 come through. I was confused and wondered where that came from. I never saw any mention of it anywhere on the website or in my correspondence with them.
I called customer service and was met with many "I'm very sorry" lines. It took some persistence, but I was eventually able to have the charge reversed. I think that they need to be more upfront about this charge and mention it very clearly at the beginning. Alternatively, they could send a follow-up email after the 14 days to remind me that the charge is going to happen unless I cancel within a certain number of days. It was not cool to have it come out of the blue like that.
I had recommended this website to a girlfriend, but now I have to go and warn her about this issue. If it weren't for this problem, I would have given Resume Now a 5/5 rating.
Resume Now Review: Difficult to Cancel and Overcharged for Mediocre Service
I recently tried out Resume Now for a trial period, which cost me $2.85. Unfortunately, I wasn't too impressed with the results and was also dealing with some health issues at the time. I thought I had canceled the service, but it turns out that I was charged an additional $23.85 in January, February, and March. I was pretty upset when I saw this charge on my account, especially since I rarely use that particular account.
After spending half an hour on the phone with their customer service, I was finally able to cancel the service and get a refund for the charges in February and March. However, it wasn't easy - they kept me on the phone for a long time and only let me go when I said I had a meeting to attend. In the end, I had to agree to a $4.95 per month plan just to get off the phone.
I'm still not entirely sure how much of a refund I'll be getting, but I'm not holding my breath. To make matters worse, I just received an email thanking me for my "new order" and billing me for the first $4.95. They'll be charging me again on 4/17/23. I'm beyond frustrated at this point.
Overall, I've paid Resume Now a total of $74.40 so far, and I'm not even sure if the service has helped me at all. I'll probably try to cancel again next week and hope for the best. It's ridiculous that it's been so difficult to cancel this service and get a refund.
Resume Now Review: Terrible Customer Service and Hidden Fees - Stay Away!
I gotta say, I wouldn't recommend Resume Now to anyone. At first, I was drawn in by their low price of just one dollar for a limited time. But once the trial was over, they hit me with a bill of almost 10 bucks a week! And to make matters worse, they don't make it easy to cancel your account. I tried to delete my stuff multiple times, but their customer service was absolutely terrible. They just went silent on me!
According to their Terms and Conditions, you're supposed to be able to delete your account by going to Settings >> Overview. But that's not true at all! The option only shows up when you're stuck in limbo waiting for your subscription to expire. And once it does, they delete the option and try to get you to buy more stuff. What a bunch of jerks!
And don't even get me started on their templates and products. They're not worth the price at all. If you want to keep your money and your sanity, stay far away from this site. It's a total waste of time and money. I wouldn't even recommend it to my worst enemy. 0/10, do not recommend.
Resume Now Review: Beware of Hidden Subscription Fees and Poor Customer Service
I was searching for a free resume builder on Google and stumbled upon Resume Now. I spent some time building my resume and was prompted to pay $2.85 to save it. I thought this was a small fee and paid it, hoping to print my resume later. However, I was disappointed to find out that I couldn't print it.
A month later, I noticed a charge of $34.85 on my account statement from Resume Now. I was confused and called their customer service. The representative told me that I never canceled my subscription, which I never signed up for in the first place. I explained that I only paid $2.85 to save my resume and was not aware of any subscription service. The representative insisted that I had signed up for a subscription and that I was being charged monthly.
I felt scammed and demanded a refund. The representative told me that they could only refund half of the amount and that their manager had to approve a full refund. I found this to be unfair and unreasonable, as I never used their subscription service and was not aware of it. It seemed like they were trying to keep at least half of my money.
In conclusion, I do not recommend Resume Now. They lure you in with a small fee to save your resume and then charge you monthly for a subscription service that you never signed up for. Their customer service is unhelpful and unwilling to provide a full refund. Be aware of their tactics and avoid using their services.
Mixed Feelings About Resume Now: A Review of Their Resume Templates and Subscription Process
I recently used Resume Now to create my resume and I have mixed feelings about the experience. At first, I was excited to see that they offered "free templates" on their website. However, when I began composing my resume, I didn't see any information indicating that payment would be required to print it. I spent a considerable amount of time perfecting my resume, only to be taken to a payment screen when I tried to print it. I was disappointed, but decided to pay the $1.95 fee to access my resume.
Unfortunately, by paying the fee, I was automatically enrolled in their monthly program and was charged $24.99 per month. I tried to cancel my subscription by emailing their customer service address, but I never received a response. I eventually had to call their customer service line to cancel my account. The representative I spoke with was friendly, but they did try to offer me several other deals before finally canceling my account.
As for the resume template itself, I found it a bit difficult to use. While I was able to rearrange the paragraphs, I couldn't figure out how to manage the space between them. When I downloaded the document to my computer, there were still parts of the document that I couldn't edit, even as a word document. It's possible that this was due to my lack of expertise, but it was frustrating nonetheless.
Despite these issues, I will say that Resume Now does offer a wide selection of attractive templates. If you're willing to pay the fee and deal with the subscription cancellation process, you may find their templates to be a good option for creating your resume. However, if you're looking for a completely free and user-friendly option, you may want to look elsewhere.
Resume Now Review: Scam Alert and Terrible Customer Service
I gotta say, I had a pretty bad experience with Resume Now. I signed up for the 14-day trial, but decided to cancel before the trial was up. Little did I know, they kept billing me $19.95 a month for 8 whole months! I didn't even get a single email receipt or notification for any of these charges. It wasn't until my credit card company caught on that I even realized what was happening.
When I called Resume Now to ask about the charges, they just kept repeating their cancellation policy to me. They wouldn't even explain why I never received any sort of notification for these charges. They just kept insisting that their system is perfect and doesn't make mistakes. Yeah, right.
After some back and forth, they finally refunded me for two months worth of charges. And wouldn't you know it, I finally got an email notification once they processed the credit. It's like their system only works when it wants to!
Honestly, I feel like I got scammed. Even my credit card company identified it as fraud. And to top it all off, Resume Now still hasn't given me my second month's refund like they promised. It's been three days and I'm still waiting. When will they honor their word?
Overall, I wouldn't recommend Resume Now to anyone. Their service is sketchy and their customer service is terrible. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for a resume builder.
Resume-now Scam: Beware of Hidden Charges and Reoccurring Subscriptions
I decided to give Resume-now a try when I saw their "Try It for free" button on their website. I signed up for the free 14-day trial on December 27, 2015, and I was excited to see what they had to offer. However, after only 10 days, I realized that the service wasn't for me and I decided to unsubscribe. I made sure to use the form provided to let them know that I didn't want to extend my subscription and that I didn't want to pay any money for it.
To my surprise, I was billed for reoccurring monthly subscriptions even though I had unsubscribed. I was never informed that the trial included a subscription, and I never received any emails indicating that a bill was generated. I was charged $0.95 on December 27, 2015, $1.0 on December 27, 2015, $39.8 on February 11, 2016, $39.8 on March 9, 2016, and $39.8 on April 6, 2016. I was frustrated that Resume-now had illegally taken my money and ignored my email.
I reached out to Resume-now for a resolution, but they only sent me a single message with an apology and a promise to help me achieve a timely resolution. However, nothing was done to resolve the issue, so I decided to take matters into my own hands. I asked my bank to investigate the case and provided them with copies of the emails I had sent to Resume-now. My bank refunded me the full amount that Resume-now had charged me during the three months, and they even replaced my credit card with a new one at no cost to me.
Although it was a frustrating experience, I was happy that my bank was able to resolve the issue for me. If you're having a similar problem with Resume-now, I suggest letting your bank handle it.
Disappointing Experience with Resume Now: False Advertising and Poor Customer Service
I gotta say, I was pretty excited to try out Resume Now for my resume needs. I mean, who doesn't want a free resume, right? But boy, was I in for a surprise. First off, the resume I created did look pretty nice, I'll give them that. But then, when it came time to download it, they hit me with a cost. I was like, what the heck? I thought this was supposed to be free! But no, apparently not. And then, to make matters worse, they wanted me to sign up for a contract. But wait, they said it was a two-week trial. So which is it? I was so confused.
Anyway, I decided to just go ahead and create the resume since I needed it for a job I was already working at. But after five days, I realized I didn't need their services anymore. So I called to cancel. And let me tell you, that was a whole ordeal in itself. The customer service rep just wouldn't let me cancel. He kept going on and on about their services and asking if I had used their cover letter. I was like, dude, I just want to cancel. I'm retired and not even looking for a job. But he just wouldn't listen.
And to make matters worse, he kept calling me "Sir" even though I'm clearly a woman. I mean, come on, my name is right there on the account. It was so frustrating. I asked him to stop calling me "Sir" and he just argued with me about it. Like, seriously? Just say sorry and move on. But no, he had to keep arguing.
Overall, I was just really disappointed with the service I received from Resume Now. The whole experience was just a mess. And to top it all off, the customer service rep was a total jerk. I wouldn't recommend this service to anyone.
Not really free
This site is a total scam. When searching for a Free resume template, I selected this site. I had already created a resume, so I just moved it over to their template and added one job. After spending time getting everything complete, it takes me to a payment screen? At the top of their site, it has Free resume templates, samples, formatting, and job search tool. It's only Free to download and print in a pdf. file with absolutely no formatting.
I called the Resume Now Company and their rep said the templates are copywritten, not free, and you must pay to use their template. I told her if they would not put Free at the top of their site, since it is very misleading, it would save users much time and frustration.
Thank you.
Desired outcome: Since I was helping someone trying to get a job, I would appreciate a one time only access to download and print this resume in proper format.
would not recommend to anyone
I was so naive trusting them.
They have so-called a resume builder. It's a convenient program that allows you to make a resume how you want. The more information you have the more hours you will spend filling the forms.
The website clearly states that the builder is free for use from the beginning to the end. How did I know that it wasn't the truth?
After I finished they asked for money to get my resume built by my own. Darn, I spent 2 hours on it in order to find out that I have to pay to see the final result.
Not too happy...
I have sent four requests to cancel my account since February 2023 (including my account number and all of the information they requested), and I am STILL being billed each month. This is completely wrong, and I am about to file a suit. This is unacceptable. They owe me $166.95 refund.
scam alert!
This site is a total scam! Stay far away from it! They try to lure people in with their low costs. Everyone at resume now should stop stealing from honest hard working people. It is absolutely unacceptable! The worst part is that any attempts to try and delete the account are futile. Customer service is unprofessional and dishonest. Resume-Now is using...

The resume itself was fine. I decided to close my account, but the next month I saw that I was still being billed. I contacted them via their live chat and asked why wasn't my account cancelled. Their rep said that he will check on my account and left me on hold for 30 minutes. The he finally came back and said that my account was expired, so there would be no refunds. What a joke! I told that I need a manager and he left me hanging for another 20 minutes. When he came back he said that manager was too busy. Great! Avoid the headache and better write your resume yourself. This service is very expensive, and the worst part is that all the fees are hidden! Avoid Resume-Now!
