Dear Diamond Jewelry United Attn: Steven Grunhut I purchased this ring on May 04, 2012 through eBay Item #[protected] . You described it as a VS2, white gold. My fiancé was complaining that the diamond looked cloudy and the white gold was wearing off and was showing yellow. I had a Jeweler look at the ring (Andrews Jewelers, Anthem, AZ 85086 on...

After searching and searching countless websites for a diamond engagement ring for my now wife I came across an auction on EBAY for a 1.5 CT princess cut diamond engagement ring VS G and bid and won the bid on 3/28/2008. The picture of the ring looked so beautiful and the statement that the diamond ring included a GIA certificate with it made me jump on it. When I received the ring, it did not look like that of the picture and the center diamond was not set properly not to mention that I did not receive any certificate either. I also took the ring to a few reputable jewelers in the area and they told me that the center stone was more on the SI quality level. I immediately contacted Balaji Diamonds who told me to send the ring back and they would rest the center stone, verify is quality and that the certificate was coming separately, OOOKKKK? So I sent the ring back and waited, and waited, and waited and finally got it back and now it was even worst, there was a side stone missing in the ring and the quality and craftsmanship was sub par. The certificate also finally came and that was a joke, it was done by one of the in store workers on some fancy paper stating that it was worth 4 times what it was really worth, not to mention that the number of stones documented did not match the ring. At this point I was done dealing with this company and I decided to look to get my money back based on the company's 100% money back guarantee return policy. After writing to the company and several phone call attempts they decided to take the ring back and refund me my money. After send it back I waited a few days to make sure they received it and when I was going to get my money back. After they received the ring back, they stopped answering my calls or email correspondences. I was really worried at this point as I was out a really big chunk of change. After trying and trying and still no credit on my credit card for the ring, they finally answered a phone call from me where the owner told me that he was in India and would make sure it was going to be taken care of when he returned to the states in 2 weeks. I eventually ended up reporting them to American Express who credited me the money due to lack of sufficient information from Baliaji Diamonds on the matter. I'm sure the 20 pages of documented correspondences of all the events helped me as well. All I can tell you is this company is extremely shady and should be avoided at all cost, I'm serious. I'm so adamant about this that I'm writing this complaint over a year later because it still burns me how they dealt with this entire situation. I made a mistake by buying a diamond engagement ring over the Internet and trusting that I was going to get what I was promised. My advise, when buying something of this caliber buy locally and make sure you see it and inspect it before you buy, don't look to save a few bucks here and there, it just isn’t worth it, look what happened to me. Learn from my mistake!
Don't buy from Balaji Diamonds
