Eagle Warranty The forgot to wire money for the repair of my car

My car broke and I drove it to the mechanic, who said that the repair would cost me $3, 000. I called to Eagle Warranty co and they confirmed that they would cover the repair. I was happy and waited to pick the car, but when the mechanic said that he still hasn’t got the payment. He didn’t want to release the car and I called to Eagle Warranty again. They were so busy that they have forgotten about me. It was really unprofessional .Be aware of their actions.

Eagle Warranty Fraud

In March 2009, I bought a used car (2004, Volvo-S40) for my son who was about to graduate from college. Since the car was used I also purchased a 36 month 36, 000 mile car repair warranty (Eagle Warranty Corp) which cost $999.00. I found out later that the warranty was worthless when I tried to use it for a "covered" car repair. I reported the issue to the Attorney General of PA- Bureau of Consumer Complaints. Since that time (March 2010), I received two letters from the Attorney General, the last was dated, July 12, 2011. The last letter from J.P. McGowan- Senior Deputy Attorney General for Linda Kelly- Attorney General indicated that legal action has been filed against Eagle Warranty but that a resolution was still months away and asked me for further patience. As of this writing (Dec 29-2013), I have not received any restitution for this issue. It seems that the Attorney General has either "dropped the ball" or does not really have an interest in protecting the consumer.

You know, things like this take years to file. You might see a partial refund in about 3-4 years from the court file date. If you got something in March 2010 then that might have been when they filed against the company. That means you might hear back from them within the next few months.

My husband purchased an extended warranty on his truck. The warranty was purchased through eagle warranty of PA. His transmission later goes bad and has to be replaced. Eagle warranty would only authorize the transmission be Rebuilt. They would not approve buying a new one. We take the truck to an authorized service center. The service center contacts eagle warranty and gets and authorization number and an approval to do the repairs. That was in Sept. 2009. It is now Dec 2009 and I have recieved numerous calls from the service station. Eagle warranty has failed to send them any payment. The service center and myself have attempted to contact eagle warranty many many times. All you get is the voicemail and they NEVER return your call. Now Eagle Warranty has went out of business. So guess what? I had to pay over $1, 200 on the transmission repair they approved but never paid for. I also contacted the BBB. THey rank this company an F on their scale and have also been unable to reach them.

I also am having a problem with this company. Same as the rest of you too. I think there should be one big class action suit filed on these people. Has anyone had any luck with the PA BBB? I work for an attorney and I am thinking of sending a certified letter from my office to see if it gets anywhere. I just hope it doesn't have to go through PA if I have to file a case to get the money. What a pain that would be. I don't live anywhere near there.

Eagle Warranty I still have not gotten my money

I purchase a car in South Carolina and bought an Eagle Warranty-Premium package. I file a claim for repairs on my car through eagle warranty in September 2009. I was told that it would take 15 to 20 days for refund of money, it’s been three months I haven’t received my money. Every time I call billing dept, Rep would tell me they were behind in claims it hadn’t processed.

I made a call last week a voice mail stated the company was closed for bad weather, later in the week I called back a voice mail stated the company was closed for business. I still have not gotten my money it is December.

Eagle Warranty Non-payment of my money

Non Payment of my claim:

Eagle Warranty authorized repairs on my car for transmission problems. They agreed to pay $1, 495 while the bill came to $2, 100. Mechanic faxed over paperwork after repair was completed on Nov 1. Contract says they will pay in 15 business days. Today is business day 21 and no money. I have tried calling every single day for 2 weeks now and left messages but NOBODY returns phone calls. It goes to voicemail all the time. Couple times I got a secretary and she put me into Accounting's voicemail but again, no response. I have trolled the internet and seems like there are many such compliants about this company. What can I do to get my money back?

Thanks

We repaired two cars for Eagle Warranty. The customer paid there half and Eagle owes us almost 2, 000 for the repairs one in April-09 and one in Oct-09 they assured me my check was in the mail and to go ahead and fix the second car. Bad mistake! I filed with the BBB but they can't help because we are a business. I also filed with the Attorney Generals office. My customers no longer have a warranty because of this company and they shelled out more than half the cost. If anyone hears of a lawsuit please email me info at lynno6996@yahoo.com
Thanks

I was strongly encouraged to buy the warranty when I purchased my car back in March 2008. I used the warranty once before and they put up a fight on wanting to pay the cost of the parts. I may have gotten 50% of the cost that I paid for the part they were willing to warranty. I now have a new claim that is a few thousand dollars and I get the recording like everyone else. I still have a few years left on my warranty and now what? I put in a report with the attorney generals office this evening in NH where I live. If anyone starts a class action lawsuit, I will submit information to help. It's sad that a lot of companies can't be trusted because of things like this and it gives solid companies worth using a hard time to gain the trust and respect. I suggest you all file a complaint with the attorney generals office like I did. I hope you all have a Merry Christmas dispite this wrong doing!

EAGLE went bankrupt and everyone is screwed...The car dealer we went through forced us to buy this warranty and now they refuse to do anything. The starter and transmission went on the car and EAGLE approved the work and then closed down...It;s a huge mess, I'm getting legal advice, I suggest everyone else do the same

I am all for a lawsuit! I had work done on march of 09 and it is now Dec 09 still no check. I've been told on more than 7 different occasions that my checkl will be mailed on certain dates or that it has already been mailed out. You can never speak with anyone in accounting and they never call back! WORST COMPANY OF ALL TIME!

I am in the same boat I was told that they are having issues in accounts payable but the check would go out the week of Dec 7 and still not check. I did however get a check from the last work done but it took three months to get it. Also, I was told that they did not pay the repair shop by credit card but I see on the website that they claim they do that as well. Very poor customer service, and if a class action suit is filed I will participate. The message on the phone when you call now is that they are closed for business but I am not sure if they are out or just not in.

we had a claim from June and was told that the check was in the mail. I was then told that they were having problems with the mail in the area. They supposedly stopped payment on the check and reissued on 10/16/09. Spoke with Holly and Nancy. Now you can't even get a call back. I would be interested in joining a suit.

I agree!! Don't waste your money buying this warranty! Their customer service is the worst I've ever had to deal with a so called professional company. Their payments are slow-so the mechanic will hold your car hostage until they pay their portion, which on a $1600 transmission job ends up being $200? What's wrong with this picture? Read the fine print!!! Don't get sucked in likeI did!!
