Greyhound Package Express unjustified storage charges

On August 10, 2010, a package was shipped to me from Portland, Oregon via Greyhound. On August 17th, I contacted the local Greyhound station to check if the package had arrived. I was told that it had not and to expect it in a day or two. I asked how this would be handled since I was going out of town for a few days. The agent said that they would hold the package up to 30 days and charge $2 per day storage after 3 days. When I returned home on August 23rd, I had an email from the sender stating that Greyhound had contacted him about my not picking up the package. I had never received any phone calls and there was no message from Greyhound on my answering maching. I went to the Greyhound station on August 24th and was told that the package had been there for some time and that I owed $16 for storage. I asked the agent why he had not called me. He said that he did and that he talked to some man who was very angry. When I told him that the only person at my phone number was either me or my wife, he insisted that he had talked to a man. When I mentioned that I had talked to him on the 17th, he changed his story to the angry man was associated with another package and that he did remember our phone call although he could not say when. I asked to see documentation of his phone calls to me and when the package had arrived, but he did not have anything to show me. I insisted this was very wrong, but his response was for me to contact Greyhound. So I had no choice except to pay. Since that time, I attempted to tell my side of the event to Greyhound, but they have totally ignored me.

Greyhound Package Express lost and domages

I sent a package from Montreal to Vancouver on the first august. Basically, it was a bike, some clothes and suites, and few books, the necessary in order to spend 4 months in Vancouver, BC.

We said me that I'll have my stuff 8 days laters...

On the 15th August, I started to call them, because still no news. I have a page of phone number because it was never the good services, but after 12 differents phone number, I finally reach someone who's should call me back one day later.

On the 16 th August, still no news. Finally, on the 18th, I've got a call from Vancouver and they said me that my stuff were ready for a domicile delivery. (Yeah...).

So, 12 hours and 128 dollars later, I finally have my stuff, the package was totally explosed; this is the "results" of what I found :

1) On the package of the bike, it was written "Repackaging on Vancouver, 8th August".
2) The right shoe of my 300 dollars shoes has disapear.
3) The two wheels of my bike are veiled (Probably about 100 dollars for the reparation)
4) ALL my books are literally "folded", I really don't know how they can did that. Lost value, probably about 100 dollars too.

So, total of the operation : 628 dollars. Thank you Greyhound Package Express.

Greyhound Package Express lost shipment

On December 14, 2009, I sent a computer and monitors along with two digital cameras via Greyhound Package express to my sister in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. After a week had passed and the two boxes were not delivered I began calling Greyhound Package Express, but nothing has been done to find my merchandise. I have found out from a former employee that the workers routinely rip off the labels of valuable shipments and set them aside to steal later.
There is no way to track one's packages when you send via Greyhound and no one at Greyhound will help you find your shipment. I have had several of the people at their toll-free number give me tracking numbers, but when I cited the numbers back to other employees at the same number a few days later they acted as if they never heard of such numbers.
Please never ship anything of any value by these idiots. You can kiss it good-bye if you do.

My brother and I shipped our luggages from California to Charlotte in NC on June 3rd 2022. He was assured all boxes will be delivered at the greyhound charlotte location in 14 days. We got to Charlotte and 6 out of the 8 boxes have been delivered and picked up by us. 2 over sized boxes containing all my new born valuables , my shoes, documents and my labtop bag has not been delivered. I called greyhound to enquire on the missing over sized boxes and they initially claimed the boxes were already delivered.

My brother then went to the Charlotte office and after showing them proof of what has been successfully delivered, they promised to search and deliver our items by the end of October 2022. We are currently in the month of November and still no call from greyhound to pick up our boxes. At this point I am more concerned about my documents. This is so frustrating and disappointing.

I got the same runaround from Greyhound when they lost a Xmas gift I sent to my Mother. I filed a claim for the missing parcel. Three months later I phoned to check on my claim only to find out that you cannot ship jewelry via Greyhound. Therefore Greyhound does not have to honor the claim. Isn’t that special
