Unnecessary services
I have been a customer of Carnett’s, now Mr. Clean Car Wash, for more than ten years. I have always been relatively happy with your service until yesterday. Now, our six family cars will be going elsewhere.
I sent my 16 year old son there yesterday for an oil change. $25 or so. He came home with a receipt for $103. You had performed a $65 fuel injection service. I asked him what it was. He said I don’t know. I asked them for an oil change. Apparently, your manager at that location saw a young kid as an easy mark for a completely unnecessary service and decided to take advantage of him. Sawyer said the lady asked him if he wanted a fuel injection service at one point. But he didn’t know what it was and thought it was part of the oil change since that is what he asked for.
I spoke with the GM of the location where he went on Duluth Highway. The GM informed me that it is not only their right, but a requirement to try and up sell services to their customers. It’s how you make your money. Never mind that his car was running fine, that the dealers guidelines say nothing about a fuel injection service at 50k miles, that he didn’t need the service and didn’t ask for the service. It was their right and responsibility to up sell him. Those are your GM’s exact words. It’s your right and responsibility to up sell customers services whether they need them or not because that is how you make your money.
I was astounded at his utter stupidity and disappointed in in their company.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Waste of time & money
Workers spent all their time resetting all the auto pre-set buttons on my radio, all six buttons were set to the same country station, and my seat memory buttons had been changed! All the mirrors has been reset too and there were black finger prints on the door panel. The car's inside had not been cleaned and the wheels were still dirty! I will never go back to this location.

Yeah, one of the business owners is a deutsche bag... he knows who he is. I've been going to Mr. Clean for years and usually do not have a severe problem until recently. My back lift gate was properly working until one of his careless, mindless employees decided to force my door up like a lunatic and caused it to work improperly and now my lift gate will not stay up. I brought it to Brandon's attention (that will be the deutsche I mentioned earlier) and naturally he claims it wasn't the employees fault and he's been there for 20 years- what the hell that has to do with him screwing up my lift gate? Nothing. Anyway, I thought we had something worked out until I found out from my dad (who is an auto mechanic) told me I can replace it myself and that the so called ''deal" Brandon offered to install for me was bs and he acted as though he was doing me a favor. So when I mentioned to him, he said, "I'm not giving you $$ to replace the part you need to fix your lift gate, I would rather give you "services"( that I DO NOT NEED instead) at the same rate". Really, Really? Clearly, they will NEVER own up to their inconsequential ways, regardless of the endless proof. There is footage for goodness sake and I think is laughable how the manager, just happens to not record all the footage and claims she didn't think it was important. Kiss my "donkey"! What happen was, you saw incriminating evidence and you didn't want to have to deal with it! You know what, it's okay and I am definitely taking my business elsewhere. Oh and by the way, Brandon Arnette, just a reminder, YOU ARE STILL FULL OF [censored]!
Did you call Mr. Arnett, or any member of their administrative staff? They still own the buisness, they are reasonable people and will look into it.
Upselling is a part of business. If your sixteen-year old son isn't able to ask questions and have the ability to say no, I doubt he should be driving.
