Online car license renewal Reference No QNP2178 - SWB783W I applied online to do my car license renewal – The post Office sent me a quote which I paid on 7 April 22 (R 680) – I still have not received my car license. I'm tracking my parcels via trackmyparcel.co.za
The site shows that my parcel arrived in SA on the 24 February 2015 and moved to Customs by the 26 Feb. After that its in Customs for more than a month and back to JHB INT MAIL CENTRE on the 28th March.
I've still heard nothing from anyone regarding my parcel.

No track and trace on outgoing courier
The track and trace facility on the SAPO website continually returns a 'runtime error'. When calling the 0860 track and trace number, after listening to 'we are experiencing high call volumes please be patient' for 10 minutes, they then employ the oldest call centre trick in the book to reduce call volumes - answer and put down immediately!
With the promise of 'no service', it may be smarter to pay the higher fee to a customer driven private courier company!
They have such a no care attitude
This is not the first time I had pathetic service at the bedfordview post office. Firstly I stood in queue for twenty minutes in an empty post office as they were all at the back, who knows what they were doing..one assistant actually returned from doing their shopping at the in centre Pick and pay. I posted a birthday card to Cape Town and I asked for fastmail as I wanted my cousins little girl to get it quickly. One week later she still has not received it. I cant see why I have to pay extra money and still it is not delivered. That is just daylight robbery! I saw that the assistant just left it on the counter and I asked nicely that she please put it in the revelant box. They have such a no care attitude at that post office it is sickening really!
Not interested in doing his job
I registered 27 wedding invites at the Amanzimtoti post office 7th September 2009 at R18 per invite. The info on the SAPO system is as follows - 4 x delivered, 11 x in transit, 11 x first note. Contacted Customer Services via email on the advice of Tracking Enquiries. Two days later & told by Ben Blignaut he can't give me any more info other than whats on the site & that the 'system was offline for most of september so all the tracking info for that time is lost'! The wedding is two weeks away and only four of the 27 invites are showing as delivered. Ben says I now have to complete a 'manual inquiry form' so that the SAPO can investigate the matter. I contacted the A'toti post office who informed me it is Ben's job to track the items by contacting the destination points. I also contacted [protected] begin_of_the_skype_highlighting [protected] end_of_the_skype_highlighting & asked them to track one of the 'in transit' items & they were able to give me all of the tracking info, including sept. Unfortunately they are not able to deal with bulk enquiries over the phone which is why I emailed all of the information to customer services in the first place! It would be easier to make 26 more phone calls to the 0860 number than deal with Ben again!
Tracking system never works properly
As consumers we pay millions to have our parcels mailed off safely, But 'WHY' I ask you? And to top it all off the tracking system has been non functional for over a week now? Yes SAPO you have just done it yet again, our post gets delivered later as usual, one cant track parcels, parcels go missing, parcels weights get over charged and you people just protect your dishonest employee's.
Great South Africa we live in, not to mention how international people must feel when they come here. To buy something from our country have it mailed back to their country just to get back to find that the parcel never arrived, or it was stolen or broken. Your services have just gotten worse and still nothing has changed.
You spend millions revamping your offices but the service stays the same. You people disgust me as to regards to resolution for issues and you will always protect your dishonest employee's at all cost as they are the ones that carry your company for you. But as for the consumer we must just live with the service and not complain as it doesn't get us anywhere. I'm so sick of your lies, dishonesty, and you need to sort yourselves out.
Still no parcels. After numerous attempts to find. Bad excuse to say it is because of a strike. Maybe it is because no one cares. I can promise you that staff received all there post and parcels. You are not bringing your side post office. NOW NOT EVEN THE WEBSITE TRACK & TRACE does not work. What a load of nonsense.I cant even complain about what they say on client care line as no one answers the phone. Parcel missing since 07-09-2009 and the ridiculous thing is that the strike was over when this parcel was sent.
3 packages lost and nobody willing to help
Had 3 seperate packages shipped to me from the US in the beginning of August, all from different places. Phoned the post office, they can't track it because the barcode is wrong : So they gave me the number of the Johannesburg International Postal Center, it took about 3 hours of constant calling to get someone to even pick up the phone, and then the systems were down. Today I phoned and had the pleasure (yeah right) of speaking to Bonnisiwe who told me my packages are untracable and that nothing can be done about it and keeps telling me to wait for the notification slip from my local po.
Things usually take 2 weeks to arrive here from the US, 3 weeks at the most! 8 weeks to wait for 3 is crazy! I suspect that my packages are lying in some dark corner left untouched because of the strike, or some lucky postal worker has decided to keep the contents for himherself.
They won't assign anyone to investigate, and they won't let me investigate myself. It's so disappointing to experience bad service like this.
I was sent a package from the US on the 7th of April 2010. I tracked the package and it went to the mail centre on the 13th of April 2010 and was accessed on the 14th of April 2010. It is an EMS package and should have been hand delivered to me at my home address. When i called yesterday the 15th of April 2010 they told me that the package will be sent out today the 16th of April 2010. I checked the tracking information on the SAPO website and it said 'in transit'. I called again today and they said that it will only be sent out on Monday.
I drove all the way from Pretoria to the JHB international mail centre to pick up my package. When i got there, the lady said that they cannot find the package and that they would have a look arounf for it. I waited 2 hours and they still havent found it.
I was told my Calvin that the package was sent with the driver this morning. So i basically wasted my time, and money going to the Mail centre. Its 15:49 the 16th of April 2010 now and nothing has been delivered to my home as yet. I called the mail centre again and supplied them with my tracking number and they still do not know where it is.
This is no way to be a manager
I am writing on behalf of myself, and at least two other people who experienced the same attitude from the postmastermanager at Matieland Post Office, Die Neelsie, Stellenbosch.
His rude rasist remarks towards white customers, as well as his unmannered way of addressing the ladies working at the postoffice, is absolutely appaling.
If anyone has a problem, and he has to solve it, he doesn't care hurting people's feelings with his rasist remarks, even as they leave the post office - close enough for them to hear it. He is forever making remarks like 'it is because i am a coloured man' and he feels sorry for the chip on his shoulder, he forgets to be polite towards customers and co-workers.
This is NO way for a man of his stature to behave towards customers. If his attitude and rasism doesn't stop soon, i will have no choice but to report him. Customers are truely sick and tired of his manners.
Please sort him out, as our country does not need people like him - he is treated with respect from the public, surely he knows how to behave like an adult? If he has a problem with ONE customer, surely he can not judge the other 999 in the same way?
I believe there is some shady dealings at foot here
I believe there is some shady dealings at foot here .On wed the 19th aug 09 i went to collect my parcel from Highlands North Post Office from the UK along with my tracking number which was sent from the UK . When i received the parcel i noticed that it had been opened, on further inspection i notice that the gifts dvd's and playstation games that were sent to me were not in the parcel, these items are only avail in the UK not in SA yet, there was only some pain killers for my Glaucoma in the parcel. My items were bought from amazon who do not deliver to South Africa due to Fraud etc so i had to send it to my mothers in the uk, then she posts me the items .
When i made this aware to the counter assistant he produced a claim form which i refused to fill in as ever since i have been in south africa for 5 years a total of 25 parcels has gone missing or been opened and when i have put claim forms in, i hear nothing back .I asked to see the manager upon where she replied in front of my friend that since the 10th aug 09 she has had reports from other customers claiming that there parcels have been openeditems missing or parcels going missing, she also said it is pointless .

I have a package with JIMC and i have called all the number provided and no one seems to be there to answer the calls and the fax number provided never receives any fax. My package has been lying there with them, i dont know what's going to happen to it and whether it will ever get to me. This is totally unacceptable service.
PARCEL THAT I SEND TO MYSELF FROM SOUTH KOREA TO SOUTH AFRICA DISAPPEARED ON 15. APRIL 2010. BETWEEN JHB INTERNATIONAL MAIL CENTRE AND WITS POST OFFICE.
I HAVE DONE ALL THE PAPERWORK BUT I NEVER RECEIVED THE PARCEL NOR THE REFUND.
One of our suppliers posted a parcel to South Africa on the 01 April, the JHB Branch received it on the 10April and did not assesed the parcel yet, and they cant tell me when this will happen.
Was sent a package from a friend in Hong Kong. Package left Hong Kong on the 8th of August 2009. Its the 13th of October already and have not yet received it. What is going on? Was given the tracking number and confirmed that the package left Honk Kong on the 8th Of August 2009. Where is my package?
Complained about 2 weeks ago about the same thing, all apologies, system being restored blah blah blah... Track and Trace has been down all week this week! Surely this is not such a difficult thing to manage. Really.
On 19 August 2009 I have paid for and posted a parcel for next day, early bird delivery! Despite their promises the parcel has on 24 August still not left Heidelberg!
I have a post box at West Acres, Nelspruit. What bugs me is the number of nonsense advertisements which are thrown into the post box. I feel beacause I pay for this service I should be able to say what goes into my post box because at present it is being misused as a cheap way of advertising to which I do not agree. Could this malpractice be stopped please. J.J. van Heerden P.O. Box 14132 Nelspruit
I cannot believe the service from sa post office nobody wants to help, its a stuff you attitude and all we do is pay pay pay for these incompitent people
