Tree trimming
On April 27, 2022, an Edison employee asked if he could "trim" a small tree between the fire hydrant and telephone pole (recently replaced) on my property at 14931 Anderson Way, Silverado, CA 92676). I gave permission and got an important phone call, minutes later the employee chopped down the entire small tree. I gave permission to trim the tree, not chop...

We live in the community of Golden Hills near Tehachapi CA. We have been without electrical power since 5 am Wed due to anticipated high winds. I travelled to Ventura yesterday to get my generator and observed that the power was not turned off in Santa Clarita, Fillmore, Santa Paula or Ventura even though the wind there was worse than in Golden Hills. The power was restored to Tehachapi last night but Golden Hills is still out despite the fact that the wind is relatively the same direction and velocity. We border the city limits. The wind is well under 20 knots and has been since last night. The average wind in Tehachapi is 15 to 20 knots out of the WNW. If the current winds meet the criteria for shutting off power then we should remain without power 365 days per year. There appears to be little science, statistical analysis or common sense behind the decisions to put thousands, if not millions of people in a 3rd world environment. When we lose power we also lose water since electric pumps pressurize our community water system. How many fires have been the result of a powerline and wind? I doubt enough to justify the impact to so many people. It seems like the typical knee jerk reaction we experience for every problem that occurs in CA. Who do we need contact to encourage common sense solutions over the typical overreaction? Please help those of us living in the 3rd world within the world's 5th largest economy, California.
TRTP Towers too large for easement
As a 18 year resident of Chino Hills, the CPUC and SCE have come in and destroyed our city with this so-call "renewable energy" project. There are 200 ft towers being erected on a 150 easement, some towers are less than 40 feet away from homes. This is an overburden of the easement. We were told when we moved in that this was an emergency right-of-way and the existing 200KV lines would never been activated. Since 2007, when the project was brought the courts for approval by the CPUC, the city has spent over 2.4 million dollars fighting this and gave plans for four alternate routes, some of which were through the state park. The CPUC shut us down and said it was the most environmentally friendly way to go through our neighborhood. The birds and he bees won over us. People say we should have known and should not have bought there. Do you honestly think I would subject my family to 500KV power lines. This is a criminal act, to subject over 2500 homes in our area (the highest impacted area for the whole project.) Nowhere in the United States has a project of this proportion been built through an existing neighborhood. We are the guinea pigs. We are the lab rats. Let's see what effects 500KV will have on people. Not only health, property values have begun to decrease in this already strained real estate market, and houses are falling out of escrow b/c of them. There is a conflict of interest with Michael Peevey, the current president of CPUC, being the former president of SCE, his wife being a senator, and 5 other employees of the CPUC being former SCE employees as well. This agency is corrupt and something needs to be done about. We have yet to hear from Governor Brown or Mr. Peevey, or anyone from CPUC for that matter. It's all about who's lining who's pockets.

My wife and I recently came homw from work to a house that had no power. SCE had cut power. We had recently paid, in full $167.00 our on-line balance a few weeks prior. Wwe then contacted SCE, said that we still owed an outstanding balance of $55.00? we explained that's not what the website indicated. How were we supposed to know this balance still existed? they cut power for $55.00, which we then paid while on the phone. They said there was nothing they could do until the next day, A courtesy call would have been nice. Meantime a refrigerator full of food spoils, we are sitting in the dark, and now out over $200.00 which is alot of money to us in this tough econimic times. SCE has no heart! and were not willing to help. They have us over a Barrel, if we could go elsewhere, we would. Not Happy at all with SCE Service. I will tell everyone and everyone I know about this experiance in hopes that something will change.
There is no logical reason that the 500kV powerlines should come directly through the heart of a residential community, except for SCE to "flex their power". I absolutely support the need for renewable energy...but it doesn't have to come at the cost of our family's health and well-being. An alternative route must be used!
We’ve lived in Chino Hills 31 yrs. We’ve raised our family here and now have grandchildren. We have a beautiful home that over looks the community of homes built near the easement. (Picture w/view) SCE has recklessly blasted through our city destroying the safety of these people, destroyed the beauty of our community and taken away everything we thought we had in our future in Chino Hills thanks to immediately depleting all of our home values. Now we’re at a loss as to where to live and trying to come quickly to terms with what to do with our lives. This is the most heinous act placed on an entire community of innocent people. Green energy? Come on. 200ft power poles with 500kV hovering over people’s homes and power lines reaching mile after mile after mile all through-out our once beautiful city making it look like a Power Plant? SCE and the CPUC are bullies and the County Supervisors and State Representatives that aren’t coming to our rescue and our Governor who is not stepping in and putting a stop to this are cowards. SCE – you should be utterly ashamed of yourselves that you did this to a totally innocent community. You have no idea what you have done to us.
The towers need to come down. I live in the Yellowstone Community off Pipeline and Eucalyptus and these poles are a health risk! Edison and the CPUC are being reckless! This photo is from my backyard, it's horrible.
