SM Southmall Las Pinas Lies about Warranty and After Sales Support

In May 2015 I bought a rice cooker worth about P1K. So it is bit of a brand. In September 26, 2015 (after 4 months) I presented the item to the Promo assistant in Kitchen section of SM Southmall Department Store (where I bought the item) since it is no longer working. When we bought the item we were make believe that should we encounter an issue to surrender the item to them and they will take care of it. But when we presented the defective item, we were advised to bring the unit to their accredited Repair Shop in Alabang Town Center. Feeling somewhat off about the matter, we inquired with their Customer Service (Return item) asking about the procedure of after sales support. They called the in-charge Kitchen section, Ms Lilian Suarez. And Ms Suarez confirmed to us that their procedure for repair is either recommend us to bring the item to the nearest repair shop (which is found in Alabang Town Center) or leave the item to them but expect 2 or 3 months before the item can be returned. I even mentioned to her that they should have advised us that we are to expect 2 or 3 months waiting should an issue arise. According to her this is because of the process involved before an item is picked up and returned to them. Though this sounds logical but I asked her if this is the kind of services that a consumer can expect from SM. I thought all along that SM has the ability to make things convenient to their customers. It seems that SM will do everything to convince you to buy things (sales promotion) but should you encounter problem you will take the burden of resolving the issue. It is like buying things at your own risk. The In-charge has not provided any support but only issues. She insist on their process rather than offering solutions. I seldom encounter this type since most of the items I bought (not from SM) last beyond 1 year. Thus beyond the warranty. It makes me wonder too if SM is really selling quality item but one thing definite, they don't offer better solution.

We experienced the same .We were in SM Southmall Las Pinas yesterday around 5 pm to 6 :45 pm to buy copper wire for our daughter's project in Science. We parked near the Bus Station wherein there were two Guard standing opposite our vehicle . Sad to say, stolen our valuables inside the vehicle together with the 2 school bags of our daughter .. All books and notebooks, uniforms, School ID, wallet, watch.eyeglass, etc were taken away...Haaaaysss..Problem, SM Management has no CCTV CAM in that wide area.Guard did not even roam around to check.. We reported to Pilar Police Station, got the a POLICE REPORT.. .Several follow ups were made and we were told ...very small is the chance to recover ... very bad..

SM Southmall Las Pinas Stolen Bag Inside SM Southmall

I was about to shop at sm southmall yesterday sept 2 at around 2.45pm. when i am about to fit the shoes i intended to buy, i decided to put my bag on my bag on my side. one lady seats my side and other one on the other side standing. they having conversation on what shoes to buy, when im about to grab my bag, just found out it was gone, together with the two ladies besides me. i immediately reported the incident at the security office, i also reported the incident near police station. the problem is, as of now sept 3 12nn, the sm security dont even bother to give update or status regarding my complaint, they dont even want to disclose the cctv footage if ever they have. i am dissappointed because i was in divi, quiapo and baclaran havent experience what i have experienced in southmall las pinas. malls should be responsible for the security of their clients, but seems more delicate to shop inside the malls like sm rather than other shopping centers. hayyyysss to bad i dont have a chance to find even those valuables that i have inside my bag, almost 30k of cash, psp and my galaxy s cellphone also. hayyss, hopes management of SM will do something to protect their clients/customers.

I'm a shopper na laging laman ng sm southmall. I know about this theft kasi nakuhanan na rin ako. Mabilis ang mga mandurukot dyan. The best way is to be aware, don't let people get too close to you. Have to be blunt kung kinakailangan. Never mind kung sabihin nilang suplada so whatttt!... you're just protecting your things... i'm a prestige holder for quite a long time pero ngayon ko ang naramdaman ang pagiging vip card holder because of the lounge only thank goodnessss! But other than that, wala na! Sa supermarket, iisa ang lane ng prestige holder, di pa friendly ang bagger na na assign. They should be more helpful. They are only there to get some money but they don't love their job. Some cashiers are also suplada. But some are very nice and polite... hope southmall will give more perks sa mga prestige holders like a free drink while in the queue paying. Kasi we are spending so much there pero wala nmang benefits. May lounge nga but u have to go downstairs all the time. What if magkasabay sabay. But infairness, the lounge is very nice. I feel like nasa exclusive lounge ako sa airport. Ang kulang nga lang ay snacks hehehe... but i know you can't do that kasi alam mo nman ang mga filipino, baka magdala pa ng brown paper para mag take-out.sorry but it's true. Except those people na may hiya sa katawan.
