The Grant Resource Guide scam

I was also received a phone call from mary jackson from the grant resource office and she told me how I
could get grant money to help me out with paying off my debt. I was charged the 1.95 and then i did not
receive any of the information that was stated to me I was to receive. A few days later I was charged again
from the same company for $76.21. I called the company per the earlier talk with mary jackson and the guy stated he will cancel your monthly subscription but the amount already taken out and that it was non-refundable. I know now and will not ever trust anyone that calls my home trying to feed me a line that sounds
to good to be true. I will tell them to take a hike because I don't care for people and companies trying to get money from people whom need the money these days. I just do not want to see anyone get taken acrossed by a company as this or any other.. Check any and all information out when it sounds to good to be true..

The Grant Resource Guide scammed-unauthorized charge on credit card

I went online to look at what this was. I gave them my e-mail address and then I got an unauthorized charge of $1.95 on 4/4/09 on one of my credit cards that I have used to purchase things online before. Then on 4/10/09, they took another $58.61 from the same account! How do I get my money back and how do these scam artists get shut down? I went online to look into getting a grant for furthering my education as I have 4 kids and both my husband and I are unemployed and not recieving much of an income, only about $170 a week! These charges killed by budget for this week! Please, please help me! I have cancelled this card and have a dispute on it. Save other unsuspecting people frmo these scams!

After reading their information on line, I tried to cancel my subscription within minutes after having submitted my credit card number. Their website would not allow me to contact them. Subsequently, I have tried several times to make contact with this firm all to no avail. They do not list a phone number and their "contact us" part of their website is inoperative for what seems to be obvious reasons. All they want is your credit card number for billing. This is a scam pure and simple.

I was called many times in a week by this company. I finally spoke to someone, tired of the calls, and since I need money to go back to school, they enticed me with their $1.95 offer. I was told that afetr 24 hours I would receive an email with my login info, Afetr 3 days I called abck and was told that my zip was my passcode. Two days later I called back (holiday) and was told I had to use all capital letters. I cancelled, and was told I still had access for the day. I just tried again, and got the same results. I got a confirmation number for the cancellation, bow I'm just waiting to see if THAT was effective.

They were suppose to only charge $1.95 for a tape that would discuss government grants. Of course, I never received the tape. The next month they withheld $79.90 out of my checking account. I called and spoke to a supervisor who informed me she could only credit me with $39.00, which they did. However, in viewing my bank statement recently, they again charged me another $79.90 for services which I do not need nor received. THIS IS A MAJOR SCAM!. DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR CREDIT/DEBIT CARD INFORMATION TO ANYONE!

They told that they offered a product for writting grants. They said it would cost 55.00/month if I continued after 5 days. They charged my account over $70. When I called they played phone games. I have had to close my account to make sure this doesn't happen again.

I was contacted by a third party company and inticed to get a free grant for $1.95 and that I would have 7 days to access their database and complete a grant form but after 7 days they would charge my credit card $76.00 a month for thier services. They never sent me a user ID to log on to their data base over the week;end they are closed. I was told I would receive an email with my user ID but never did. I did not even have access to their data base and when I called to get credit on my credit card charge of $76.12, they refused and claim I was paying for a membership but are willing to cancell your account so it won't get another $76.00 next month. Meantime they have clearly stolen $76.00 and have not proformed any service for it. This is diffinantly a scam the government should step in and shut down business practices like this. For an individual that has not even accessed their data base, they should receive a full refund when ask to cancell. They should have to prove that a person has accessed their data base at lest once before charginging them. The IRS could step in and do an audit. There has to be alot of IRS errors that could pentilize them for their bad business practices. This is a scam pure and simple.

just got in contact with them and immediately cancelled their 7 day trial, which if not cancelled on time generates the automatic payment of $58.61, which they told me about in our conversation.
the customer service number is [protected], tell them your account number and cancel! keep the cancellation No. for reference. but I don't know about the money back.
so I hope I will receive my kit for only $1.95 as the customer rep. told me, however the first man I spoke to, the one who got in touch, Josh Castro (hope i heard it correctly) spoke about $2.95! Hmm? when i called back few minutes ago to ask about the name of their web site the man who picked up the phone didn't bother with any greetings and was impatient. what was that?
perhaps this is a scam.I will be carefully monitoring this whole process on my bank statements for sure.
thanks for sharing your experience! Good Luck!

Promise are made by customer service representative over the landline, and no results only money withdraws from accounts. Definatly a scam.
