TripRes additonal charges

I booked a trip with Tripres for my best friend and her husband. I called them 5 minutes later to confirm it and they had the ticket under my name. I told them that I reserved the ticket for a husband and wife, not for me, I just paid for it. Manager Sally Karajohn got loud with disrespectful and had poor customer service. She stated that I had to pay 75 dollars to change a reservation that I had booked 5 minutes ago. Beware Beware, they were unfair, rude and the computer system needs a upgrade

TripRes Customer Service/False Advertisment

TripRes has bad customer service---DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THEM--They have False Advertisment on their website for their hotels. We booked at St. Topez in Vegas and the rooms were not as shown or stated on their website. When we first checked into St. topez they did not have our reservation---2nd we get to the room and the beds are broken, sheets were dirty, light bulbs burnt out, air conditioner was not working, torn curtains, not patio like it stated on TripRes, Dirty Dirty mess. We spoke with the front desk and they gave us another room with a patio. We get to the 2nd room and the same thing but now we try to open the patio door and it won't open. I called Trip Res and they booked us at another hotel for the 2nd night but we still had to pay for the first night at this hotel. We had our 3yr old with us and he feel on an broken sidewalk light, the pool was closed for violations, not to mention mattress sitting outside on the sidewalk. I explained all of this to TripRes and they refused to refund our money. I am posting our story everywhere about TripRes and their customer service. THEY SUCK! If I can't get my money back at least I can warn others of their services. (an extra $100.00 for our weekend vacation---IT WAS RUINED BECAUSE OF THESE PEOPLE) I do have pictures but unable to post at this time (using work computer)

There are many hidden fees. The room rate is higher than what you can get from the hotel. They charge extra fees but they don't show all the charges. They make it impossible to change date or cancel. They charge $50 PER PERSON if you want to cancel it within 14 days. This is unbelievable. The customer service does not help at all.

I feel they intentionally set up many tricks. Once you get in, no way is out. How could they do business like that? They don't think for their customers. I will never use their website again and recommend anyone not to use.

I had a bad experience with Tripres.com while trying to book my hotel at Las Vegas today. Customer service is not helpful and one of them refuses to listen to my story but kept insisting that I did not understand her.

The confirmation that I got from them after booking was for a Hotel Subtotal amount which exceeded what was advertised on their website. Even though it was a few dollars, the website was misleading in qouting Total Price includes taxes and fees. She mentioned that hotel resort fees are not included, fair enough, but what was that fees that was already included in the price?

When I questioned her what that fees was for that was already included in the price, she couldn't give me a straight direct answer and said that, that was the way business was done, was very patronizingly rude, impatient and downright unprofessional in her dealings with clients.

BOOOOOOO to Tripres.com

Aside: The other customer service guys, Randy & Ben & (Jose?) were great, not rude and impatient.

Time was around 8:30 pm on the 27th Oct 2017 when I talked to this female.

First of all, no company on earth is ever going to "think for you".

"They make it impossible to change date or cancel. They charge $50 PER PERSON if you want to cancel it within 14 days. This is unbelievable."

What's actually unbelievable is that you say they make it impossible to cancel and in the very next breath you go on to explain their cancellation fees. It IS possible (according to you). Sounds like sour grapes to me and you just didn't like that they upheld a policy that you agreed to in the first place.

Look, if you don't like the terms of a contact, there's a very simple way to deal with that. Don't get involved with it in the first place. This is not rocket science. You really have no grounds to say that you were overcharged or that their service was bad though, at least not from what was posted.

What exactly did they do wrong?

TripRes Scam

I booked a hotel with them at Treasure Island hotel. I was given a confirmation number and they took my credit card. About three weeks before my trip I get a phone call saying they would no longer honor the rate and if I wanted that rate I had to pay for an additional night. They offered a different hotel at a 30% increase if I just wanted to stay my origional amount of booked nights. This was done 3 weeks before the travel date so it was hard for me to rebook elsewhere. They acted like they didnt care. I read elsewhere on another site they did the same thing to several different couples. Bottom line is they are crooks and scam artists.

Tripres.com cheated us out of one hundred eighty dollars. We booked a Vegas show 6 months in advance with Tripres.com When we got to Treasure Island to pick up the tickets we were told that our reservation was for the night before. We asked for Wednesday and they booked our tickets for Tuesday and we were not aware of it and could not have made a Tues show because we had dinner reservations for that night. Tripres.com would not refund our money and could care less. Don't ever use them to book anything. The are scam artists.

Be careful there is a clause in the agreement stating :

"NOTICE: In order to provide expanded amenities to their guests some hotels may charge a resort fee per night and direct payment from the guest will be due at the time of check out. This fee is not included in the cost of your room itinerary and is neither charged or received by Tripres.com"

When we checked in at the Excalibur, the front desk agent told us that this fee is "mandatory" and we are forced to pay. So when TripRes.com says $28 / night, DO NOT BELIEVE them. In my case, I was already at the hotel checking in when I found out about the fee. I was upset about the fee, but at the same time, I was unable to get refund because TripRes.com has a 7-day non-refundable clause as well. So I am really "stuck" and can't do anything.

DO NOT BOOK THROUGH TRIPRES.COM. They are scams!

We booked a room in circus circus hotel from Dec.24th - Dec.29th. via tripres.com. On Dec.24th, my son was sick and we took him to see the doctor. The doctor suggested us to delay our trip. Thus my husband called tripres.com that we will be late in checking-in. But tripres.com said that the hotel will still charged us for the the days even though we do not stay. We are ok with that because we think the rooms will be still reserved for us.

Today Dec.25th, my son feels better now, and we decided to go. We called the hotel to check if there is still room left. Tripres.com did not give us the room because they gave our rooms to others. Ironically, they still charge us on the room for these days we do not even stay. We talked with tripres.com supervisor and their manager. Their attitude is very bad and do not want to refund money for us. We were very upset and disappointed about their service and decided to cancel all the trip there.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, YOU WOULD SCREW UP YOUR TRIP!

I will say the ONLY thing I can - DO not book any shows with Trip Res - I got tix to the Blue man group for a Wednesday night - I was at the box office at 4:30 and was told my tickets were not released and to come back 15 min prior to the show, I had to fight the crowds and screw up my whole afternoon for them. The box office then told me where the block of tickets trip res has and they were all the way to the right - I was only 11 rows from the stage but there was only 7 seats between me and the outside wall, not he worst part- Thursday night Lion King six year old in tow Intineary says to show up at anytime before the show so again I show up in the early afternoon to get Tix, get to the box office and was told that I needed to drive to some place on the Strip to get Tickets/ I showed them the Intineary and it clearly stated to go to box office. So girl goes in back and leaves me, wife and daughter waiting in line for 25 mins and when she comes out she tills me they don't have my tickets and I will have to contact Tripres. I am at this point very upset and my daughter is in tears. I call Trip res and they say for me to wait where I am and they will call the box office and straighten things out, 45 mins goes by and still no reply- the whole time I am standing at counter waiting; Finally a man came out and had tickets in hand, - Now I am in the 12th row and guess what is to my right side THE WALL AGAIN. I will have to say the show was great but this seems to be where they have blocks of tickets!
I also asked far in advance on how to get the best seats and they basically lied and said to go to box office early to pick them up - when you go there the tickets are not even released and the best seats are always gone.
I will say this in closing -
I WILL NEVER GET SHOW TICKETS from them EVER EVER EVER AGAIN!
