They haven't started the building
I hired the company Wayne Homes. I spoke with the rep, who provided the design ad info of my future home. I was shocked that these jerks haven’t started to build my house. They promised to start work several weeks ago, but nothing was done. I called and argued with them, but they didn’t care. I really need your help, so please help me to solve this situation.
Bathroom Tub Water Sealing
We built our home 5 years ago with Wayne Homes and recently we found that we had water damage in our ceiling below our bathroom. We cut open the ceiling to see if there was a plumbing leak and found nothing. What we did find is that at the base of our bathtub instead of caulking it to seal the gap between the tub and the flooring. Instead of caulking they use a metal strip hold the floor down which obviously does not seal the gap in between. SO any bit of water that gets on the floor leaks through the space and down on to the ceiling causing our problem. After speaking with 2 plumbers and 2 builders in town they said that the tub should be caulked and they didn't believe what was used was proper. I called Wayne Homes and they told me the metal strip was standard procedure and that you could caulk it but that is not what they do. Basically saying too bad and that its our fault for gettng water on the floor. This is not the first issue I have had trouble with and its defintely the last time I will use this company to build a home. I would tell all to beware of these types of companies that offer you "affordable homes"...They are not affordable they are cheaply built. SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY AND USE A REAL BUILDER! Thanks Wayne Homes for supporting your product.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
We also are deeply regretting our decision to use Wayne Homes as our builder. We spent a year with water in our basement before they finally "fixed it" We are now trying to get them to reimburse us for all the work we paid to have done in the past year. Never again
We too built a home with Wayne Homes from start to finish there organization is a joke. I am convinced there materials are third stock, the workmanship. I could have found some guys on the street with better craftsman skills than some of these guys.
We have a wet basement they tried to blame it on something else. Yes there favorite line is- that's not what we do. I don't think they know what to do its a mess, their STANDARD is there's alone. CHEAP HOME BUILDER. STAY AS FAR AWAY GET A REAL BUILDER OR You'll pay later I promise you.
HATE is a very strong word but I HATE we allowed them to build our house.
