I receive no statements in the mail...ever...and I just learned my interest rate is 24.99%. Emailed my complaint and have tired to call...horrible customer service and they are of no help.

They are the issuer of one of my online store credit cards. I am slightly behind because I've been disabled since Thanksgiving. I owe them about $50. They started calling a week ago, several times a day, including a dozen times last Sunday. Today is Saturday, it's not even 11:30 AM, and they have called 6 times since just after 8 AM. They never leave any message, so they don't give me a number to call back. The calls are also made from several numbers, including one for ADS, which appears to be their parent company. Well, if they want to spend a couple hundred bucks trying to get $50, fine with me. But leave me alone. This is harassment, and it won't get them their money any sooner, nor will it get my back on my feet, earning, and getting paid any sooner. Last year, I did get a message from them. It was a woman with a heavy Indian accent and I could barely understand them. So they are probably calling from India.

World Financial Network National Bank Credit Card Changes

I have been receiving notices from the WFNNB for three years now and I don't understand why. They tell me that a significant change has been made to my Victoria's Secret Credit Card Account. I DO NOT have a VS credit card. I started receiving these letters in 2008. I wasn't 18 so I legally couldn't have a credit card in my name. I didn't even have a bank debit card.

Every time I get one of these letters, the letter itself is the envelope, and it isn't very large. There is no contact information on it, and the only place my personal info is on is the front to be able to mail it.

The most recent letter I received was in todays mail [protected]) and it tells me that I could be charged with a late fee. I found a costumer relations number through another complaint on this company and called it. I was on the phone for 5 minutes and it gave me an option to either leave a message or press '0' (zero) for help. I kept pressing '0' but every 5 minutes it would give me the same recording.

I just don't know what to do. I don't know if someone stole my identity and is using my name on this card, or if it's just a hoax.

Any suggestion or help would be appreciated!

I had an abercrombie & fitch credit card that was paid in full in june. A $5 fee was added and i began to receive late charges and min charges for $1 each month for 3 months. I then received a phone call on 9/12 saying my account was in collections. This bank has the worst customer service, the agents are very snotty and don't really care for the customers.

WFNNB has called REPEATEDLY regarding my son's debt with Stage. World Financial Network National Bank Fraud

I received a privacy statement from WFNNB. I do NOT have an account with this company. I applied for a card with this company two years ago and was rejected. I never heard from them again until I received this statement. I tried to call the company for clarification. They told me to enter my account number. I don't HAVE an account number. They told me to enter my Social Security Number. I WILL NOT enter my SSN! They refused to assist me. I tried to find the company's information on-line. I found a link through the Better Business Bureau. I tried to call the customer relations 800# from that site. No one picked up the phone. This is very disturbing. I can't contact anyone for clarification. No one will speak with me unless I provide them with sensitive information. This seems very unethical to me.

World Financial Network National Bank Unscrupulous Charges & Harassing Phone calls

I paid off my Belk account online back in April which included having a $10 charge assessed. The next day WFNNB charged me a late fee. Then a month later I found that they did NOT pay off the account and only applied $10 fee to my account. So then I have another late fee and the harassing phone calls start. As many as 10 a day starting at 8:05 AM until 8:50 PM. They've even called a number that is identified as a work # which I've read is unscrupulous. Still getting no where with them & it's mid August and they're still charging me late fees because I refuse to pay them when I already paid it off in April.

I also have the same situation with WFNB. I paid for merchandise in full from chadwick's, then charged a late charge. then a late charge for the late charge, and it has continued on and on. I tried to discuss the matter with them but the person that i talked to on the phone was very, very rude. She would not allow me to talk by raising her voice and talking when i was talking. practically screaming at me. very rude! Calls have been awful! starting at 8:01am and continuing throughout the day until 8:59pm----about 30 calls a day.
I filed a complaint to the FTC about the harassing calls and the rude associate. This can not be right to charge late charges on top of late charges and keep on charging on and on. The late charges I do not owe. I paid for the merchandise in full, which I am going to return anyway.

World Financial Network National Bank Fraudulent, They do not even have a website - other websites devoted entirely posting complaints about WFNNB

Recently I received a notice from WFNNB stating that they became the new creditor on my Fashion Bug Credit Card account. I had a FB Credit card years ago, never used it and shredded the card a long time ago. Three foot long paper notice with tiny print describing terms and agreements which included: "If you do not comply with your obligations under this agreement, you agree to pay all attorney fees, collection costs, court costs, that we incur."

Very threatening. They also wrote that they may disclose information about me to basically anyone that they want to including my insurance company, non profit organizations, retailers, direct marketers, publisher, etc. They wrote that if I wanted to cancel my credit card, I would have to cut it in pieces and then send the pieces to them with a letter telling them why I wanted to cancel.

So I called the numbers on the paper for customer service. Before I could speak to anyone, I was asked for my social security number.
Another number just takes you around in circles.
So, I called Fashion Bug customer service. Again they asked for my social security number. Hung up. Then, I called fashion bug number for placing an order. I told the man that I was not placing an order and that I just wanted to cancel a credit card. He asked for the last 4 digits of S.S. no. Then transferred me to someone who canceled the account.

Then got a message on my voice machine home phone. someone from WFNNB telling me that they are returning my call ? I called them back spoke to someone and told them off. Asked why they did not have a website, yet there were other WS devoted to complaints about them, etc. Extremely rude ignorant idot goes on to defend the bank acting like she knew it all. Tried to tell me the laws, etc. I could go on but I have already written a book on here.

World Financial Network National Bank is a harassing bunch of ###. They are Alliance Data's evil minion. These ### sucking maggots some how got my fathers phone number. They keep calling and and asking for some other person. My father never had any accounts with any company they represent. They call him 5 times a day seven days a week. I have told them I would press charges if they continue to call. That did not stop them. I would suggest to anyone who is going to open a retail credit card to check and see which bank represents the retailer. If it is World Financial Network National Bank, reconsider applying. By giving them your information, You are giving them the right to call you with non stop sales calls at all times of the day and night. These people are truly ###. I have started writing letters to all the retailers they represent telling them I will never do business with them as long as WFNNB represents them.

I opened a card with Avenue just for the additional 15% off discount. I don't shop there a lot but my first and last experience with World Financial Network National Bank. You only have one option to receive statements via mail or email so I chose email. Come to find out they entered an incorrect email address for me. Keep in mind because they have an incorrect email address it also means I cannot access my account online. In any case, I forgot about it for the next two months so the harassing calls begin. What a joke they trying to be so nasty and threatening! At this point, I’m actually glad they have contacted me so we could figure out why I was not receiving statements.

WFNNB admits that they entered my email address incorrectly so I offer to pay on the spot if they waive the late fee. A customer service rep by the name of “Jacqueline” refused and was extremely rude. Figured I could get another representative with a little more class & etiquette so I hang up and called back. This new customer service rep was worse! Maybe just a bad day at WFNNB so I'll call back another time.

I have dealt with plenty of customer service reps that were unprofessional and crude but always have had luck with talking to managers or their superior. A few days later I speak with a manager by the name of "Justin" for about 5 minutes trying every which way to persuade him into removing the late fee or at least meeting me half way. Now I have two late fees and have tried negotiating with 3 reps and 2 managers. I give up and am just paying the damn $60 late fees. I am never dealing with such a poor quality institution and will NEVER GIVE MY BUSINESS TO WORLD FINANCIAL NETWORK NATIONAL BANK. I suggest you do the same and don't say I told you so! :)

World Financial Network National Bank False Information

I recently received a notice that there would be new changes to in my account. The letter stated that If one does not accept the changes we could contact World Financial Network National Bank via phone or mial. Well, to my surprise the number listed was nonworking number. The letter also specified that one had until January 28th 2010 to refuse the changes but the costumer neede to call or lwrite a request . it is absolutely not fair for the consumer to not be able to refuse changes because the contact information is incorrect. It seems as if this bank is porpusely trying to set costumers up to fail and for them to suceed by us having to pay extremely high interest rates. I was told that my interst rate would go up from 9-24% for no reason of mine. What made matters worse was that when I finally got a contact number for this bank the rep was rudely and did not show knowledgable. He said"don't you have the paper in front of you? the changes are clearly stated ". I'm very dissapointed and upset to see how this bank can not provide thei rcostumers with accurate informaiton

I could never get set up to make an on-line payment to my account - I tried several times. So I set up payment from my bank - I send it 6 or 7 days in advance of the due date.

I get a late fee every month of $35.00.

I think they give you a late fee even if they got your payment. I don't think I've ever had a month without a late fee.

I never get a late fee anywhere else ever.

I naively got a credit card from this bank at the Express clothing store ten years ago. Never have I met with such rudeness. My balance was 60$. I was late paying because I didn’t get the statement so they tagged on a $20 late charge. I asked them to take it off, they didn't do so. I did paid the balance but they kept tagging late charge after late charge until the total was $260. I agreed to settle for $145 finally but they still report it as a loss or "charge off" on my credit report instead of "closed settlement". When I called to ask if they could correct this they were extremely rude and refused to help. It was like dealing with some hoodlums on the street.

I am really sorry I ever signed up for this card I have always been a decent customer with this company, despite my continue complaints to the company otherwise. For the past two weeks, I have been harassed pretty much every day @ 8am in the morning and several times a day. I have told the company to stop calling me early in the day, but they continue. Last week with no other options, I told them to close my account. I no longer was able to deal with the harassment
and yet today it is the same story again. I am making complaints, emailing lawyers. This is not good business practices to say the least. Now I call to speak with a supervisor and one customer service agent tells me I can't even do that. Unbelievable. Trying to talk to an actual person in charge in regards to their business practices. Heed my warning, NEVER GET A CARD WITH THIS COMPANY. I wish I had done my homework. This has been two weeks of a serious nightmare.

Try going through this for almost a year! We have gotten up to 8 calls a day since Oct. 2017. I have a written recording of most of the dates & times but haven't kept up on all of them. It is obvious that World Financial scams customers by not sending bills and then trying to charge late fees. When I talked to a collector, he told me that there was a "note" stating that I had signed up for paperless billing. I am a supervisor for the United States Postal Service and there is no way I would ever do that as my lively hood depends on mail service. When I finally got a bill in the mail, I paid it in full, minus their trumped up charges. They are now offering me a deal where I only pay 40% of what they claim I owe. What? I owe them NOTHING! We need to unite and get a law firm who is willing to do a class action law suit against these thieves!

Just went through the same thing. I did the online payment and made an error in my account #. I was never notified that it had not gone through...hence another late charge and since I went paperless I had to call and find out what was going on. Supervisor "Michael" made it clear it was my fault for putting account # wrong (mentioned wrong several times) egged me on for a fight, I was kind of shocked and asked him if he really wanted to continue this and the jerk actually said "we can..."! I closed my account.

I also have had problems with this bank. They call me 15 times a day. I made an online payment and they stilled called me. They have also locked me out of my online account so I cannot make payments there just like they did to you. Last time I called the hardship department and that lady was very rude to me. I will be so glad to pay off this charge card. I have 2 of them Chadwicks and Fashion Bug and will NEVER EVER get a charge card through WFNNB. They call and call. Their customer service people are rude. They call every half hour ALL DAY LONG. I am contacting the BBB and see what I can do about this company.

I too have a credit card with World Financial Network (Lane Bryant). I recently retired and was late in missed a payment. They started harrassing me and have been doing so now for 2 months. They call me 7 to 11 times a day starting as early as 6 a.m. and keep calling as late as 10:30 at night. They locked me out of my account online so I could not even pay the payment as I normally do. I now have gotten so upset with all the phone calls that I told them I would not pay until they unlocked my online account so I can pay it that way. I will never use their card again and I believe their business practices are against the law. Do you know if I am right?

This sounds like a phishing scam for you to type in a credit card number that you THINK might be the one it's regarding...and you have just had it stolen. Richard Blumenthal of CT may already be working on this, I am going to start researching it tonight, or he's getting a call tomorrow.

I received the same type of statement regarding "Important Changes to your Account" as well (Dec 2017). They would jack up your account to 21.74% APR above the published index (which they call "an index", not specifying which). Not showing any reference to a credit card seemed suspicious (and I doubt I have one with them), which is why I search google for their name. I can see this may be the new phishing scam going around...

World Financial Network National Bank Customer Service

I recieved in the mail today, a "Customer Privacy Statement". I read the entire statement, and only found two phone numbers (one was a TDD/TTY number). I called the number, and was instructed to enter my account number, and if I didn't have my account number, that I would need to enter my social security number. Now, here's the problem...I don't have an account number because I don't even know who this company is! I spoke with Alex, cust. rep., who told me that without either of those numbers that she had no way of helping me. WHY do they have my name and address, but can't pull up my information from that? WHY would I give out my social security number to a company that I don't think I have any accounts with? How do I know that they aren't a huge scam? With all of the identity theft that is happening, who would give out that information? Alex said that I could tell her what stores I used to have credit cards with, and she would look to see if they service those stores...does this seem crazy to anyone else? I asked her if she could give me a website that would show what stores they service, and she told me that if there was a website that I could go to that it would have been printed in the letter that I recieved. What if someone has stolen my identity and I have no way of finding out if this account was opened by someone else?

World Financial Network National Bank. If there are two WFNNB's, Neither is legit. The company that handles debts for department stores scams its debtors by creating false late charges and tacking on interest. WFNNB starts by putting you on paperless billing, waits a few months before they activate it. Then they start calling you to let you know that you are late, even before you get a paperless or paper bill. You then have to beg them to send a paper bill. You pay your initial charges and they never drop the late or finance charges. WFNNB is creating their own problems by putting people on paperless billing, then they can harass them all hours of the day for months, just so they can make a few dollars from hundreds if not thousands of people. They affect your Credit Score and also all of your Credit Cards. They are very unprofessional and try to put all of the fault on you when they are the ones that need to take the responsibility for their mistakes.

I received a very harrassing call from WFNNB at my place of employment. The individual gave his name as Calvin and began to harrass me via phone about past due credit arrears while I was busy in the midst of my job. Initially he asked to speak w/myself or a manager to verify employment, however I kindly asked him never to call me at my place of employment again, and he continued on getting more and more rude. This guy basically was arguing w/me on the phone. I dont know but if these people want to get paid, this is certainly not the way to do it. Im was totally appalled at the lack of discretion and unprofessionalism displayed by this company.

I have been receiving hundreds of harassing collection calls from these people. Just minutes ago I had the pleasure of speaking to and hanging up on Maurice. I asked him for the physical address and he said before he could transfer me to customer support, I HAD to set up a payment arrangement! He was rude, as well as agent Peeples, as well as EVERY other person within this company I've spoken to. I've had it with them, and at this point, and my issues, I really don't care if and when they get paid by me.

World Financial Network National Bank Harassing phone calls

BEWARE! You have rights (even against debt collectors)! World Financial Network National Bank is harassing me morning, noon, & night (this is the only Website I can find on them http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/wfnnb.html). They start calling me early in the morning and proceed to call all day and night. They ask for me and when I say it's me they hang up most of the time. After much research I was able to obtain their phone number [protected] Consumer Relations) and call them (they call from numerous area codes). I finally spoke to a decent person and she put my number on their do not call list. I told her I was filing harassment charges at the New York Police Department if they do not stop calling me. In addition I said I will file a complaint with the FCC and the Attorney General. She was helpful and understood, however, I continued to receive harassing phone calls. I told each caller to stop calling me, otherwise, I'm filing charges (at all the above). Send a “cease to call letter” to them and any other debt collector or sales call. One lowlife representative told me they will continue to call even after they receive the "cease to call letter". Of course, I told her that is against the law and she cannot continue to call me and she replied in a very nasty tone she and other representatives will continue to call. After telling her 10 times not to call and by law (since the company was notified in writing) they cannot call, I just hung up on her (I reported her and the number where she was calling from immediately to Consumer relations dept of this crappy company WFNNB). Hopefully, she will be reprimanded because 5 minutes later I got another call from them. This time it was a gentleman and he said the previous caller was incorrect and should not have spoke to me like that. He told me to make sure I mail the "cease to call" letter immediately. I am giving them 24 hours to stop calling me and if they don’t, I will go to the nearest police department and file harassment charges. It is against the law for them to keep on harassing me. Here is the website for information on New York law http://www.nyc.gov/html/dca/downloads/pdf/debt_collection_fact_sheet.pdf.

They literally just called four times in a row within the span of five minutes. They do this every day, trying to get in contact with my grandmother despite her paying what she can when she's able to. They are clearly harassing people over debt and they should be investigated by the FCC.

If Consumer Protection doesn't step in and start investigating WFNNB, this bank is going to continue to flout Consumer Protection laws. It isn't a matter of people not paying on time or not paying their bills. It's nothing more than WFNNB refusing to comply with Consumer Protection laws. When a bank like this calls more than 14 times in a single day, including Saturdays and Sundays from 8 AM to 9 PM, how is that NOT harrassment? If any other bank had these kinds of policies, they'd be shut down in a heartbeat. Why isn't WFNNB? This bank refuses to admit when they are in error. They refuse to refund an erroneous late charge...how is that not theft and extortion? This is yet another bank that is played Lord and Master and Americans are getting fed up with it. To all the employees of this bank, you know your job is at stake and attempting to justify the refusal to comply with Consumer Protection laws makes you complicit in that lack of compliance.

World Financial Network Bank is an absolute scam. I've had a card with them for years and have paid it on time RELIGIOUSLY. Suddenly, in November, they stopped accepting my online payments, even though I got emails saying the payment was accepted. Then the calls started. I scheduled two MORE payments and nothing appeared online. I've called and called and finally I cancelled the account and paid it IN FULL (so you jerks who complain about people "not paying their bills" can shut up). Guess what? MORE phone calls. NO record of my payment online. Their "customer service" people are a joke. I've been hung up on. They are completely rude. So apparently I can't pay the bill online, I can't pay the bill over the phone, and the interest keeps racking up. They are completely incompetent and are thieves. DO NOT EVER get a credit card with this bank. My attorney is handling this issue now.

This bank must really suck if people that work there are reping it on this board. My girlfriend got a credit card she can't afford behind my back. Her problem but when a debt collector calls and threatens "criminal prosicution" if the debt is $200 which is against the law. I feel I need to do some research. I googled the company WFNNB and after I found this sight I was interested. i work for a state entity and I know that I am in no way allowed to represent that entity on the internet at anytime. Let me remind those of you that are on this board standing up for the company you work for. There are millions of Americans going through hard times and your job is to contact them and collect there unpaid debt. So to call them " idiots" and "deadbeats" and to speak of their situations is incredibly unprofessional, and you should lose your jobs. Also let me remind you that it is against the law to threaten debtors. You job is to collect a debt thats it.

TO WFNNB EMPLOYEES I MEAN MONKEYS. YES I HAVE BEEN LATE QUITE A FEW TIMES WITH MY PAYMENT AND I DON'T INTEND NOT TO PAY JUST THINGS COME UP WHERE THERE IS NOT ENOUGH TO GO AROUND. NO I DON'T GET MAD WHEN I GET A CALL ABOUT BEING LATE BUT WHEN YOU START OUT RUDE AND DEMAND MY MONEY FROM MY ACCOUNT WHEN YOU WANT IT IS JUST PLAIN STUPID ON YOUR PART.
I AM SURE YOU ARE THAT WAY BECAUSE YOU ARE EITHER JUST AN ### ALL DAY EVERY DAY OR YOU HAVE SOME ISSUES GOING ON THAT YOU FEEL YOU HAVE TO TREAT EVERYONE ELSE BADLY AND RUDE. AND IT IS VERY EASY FOR YOU TO DO OVER THE PHONE TYRING TO INTIMIDATE FOLKS. I AM WELL AWARE WHEN I AM LATE AS I HAVE RECEIVED MY STATEMENT EACH MONTH. I DON'T NEED YOU TO TELL ME I AM LATE NOR DO I NEED YOU TO DEBIT FROM MY ACCOUNT.
I DO HAVE ENOUGH SENSE TO KNOW THAT IF I AM HAVING A FINANCIAL HARDSHIP THAT IS SO BAD THAT I CAN NOT PAY THAT IS WHEN I WILL GIVE YOU A CALL. YOU DON'T HAVE TO CALL ALL DAY EVERY DAY BECAUSE I DO WORK AND THERE IS NO ONE HERE AT THE TIMES YOU CALL. AND CALLING 50 MILLION TIMES A DAY WON'T GET YOU THE PAYMENT ANY SOONER JUST AS BEING RUDE AND NASTY WON'T EITHER.
REDUCING CREDIT LIMIT BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T GET YOUR WAY OVER THE PHONE IS A RIDICULOUS MOVE BUT THAT IS OKAY. JUST LETS ME KNOW WHO I AM DEALING WITH AND WILL MAKE ME PAY OFF AS SOON AS IIIIIIIIII CAN!

This is actually a very interesting debate! I think that all the people who posted supporting this company lack of ethics or lack economic knowledge. How is consumer debt affecting the US right now? When the house market crashed did the banks said ''hey bozo u knew u had to pay ure mortgage right''? If the company does not send bills and help consumers repay their debt, it explains a lot on the attitudes and lack of service... They are in the business to take advantage of extra fees, compulsive buyers or buyers that would simply expect a normal credit card company? The complaints might be even some kind of performance standard. If you're an ### on the phone you'll demotivate the consumer enough to convince him to do something else with the money. What is the us waiting for? They subsidize their bill collectors in india so the company creates no jobs on top of being irresponsible? The US needs to protect its people not only with jets but also from debt. Let's all not pay!

i think it is perfectly hilarious that the "professionals" on here have the actual gull to say with a straight face that they follow all legal guidelines regarding their dealings with customers. i just finished having to deal with your company, and let me tell you...NEVER AGAIN. I have never on all my life, dealt with such a pack of inbred wolves. for the way you talk to people, and the scare tactics you try to use, you would think that you were raised behind bars, let alone in barns. i had to call back at least 5 times to talk to someone who had any type of manners, and even a MONTH after my bill was paid, i STILL received letters with threatening overtones. yes people should pay their bills, no argument there, just as people who are in the business of dealing with people, should have a bit more respect when doing their job.

World Financial Network National Bank &Collection Call&

Original Complaint:
I received a disturbing phone call today (6/1) from one of your account
representatives (no name was provided when requested). It was the first telephone call I have ever received from VS announcing my account was in "collections". I have received no prior notices other than a bill by mail and have received no prior phone calls to that effect. We do travel extensively and have been in Australia and we were hosting a number of fundraisers for the DNC, at our home which was a bit of a distraction. I apologize for the late payment. SDNB did not process my electronic payment as requested on 5/18, they have no explanation I do not appreciate receiving threatning phone calls that wake me up in the morning in CA. And, have no idea why you would do this on an account that is "past due" a mere 2 weeks. Please accept my payment in full of $102.65 made online today. Please cancel my account at my request because I have no interest in doing business with banks that treat customers in good standing this way.
Their Response:
I apologize for any trouble you experienced on your account. When your
account falls past due, we may contact you to inform you of the past due
status. We realize that the past due status of the account may or may
not be an indication of a customers ability or willingness to pay.
During that contact, it is our goal to assist you in bringing your
account current as soon as possible regardless of your situation.
We appreciate you taking the time to contact us regarding your online
payment. Please be assured that your online payment of $102.65
scheduled for 06/02/2009 will post to the account on the date it was
submitted, however it may take up to two or three business days to
complete.
Per your request, we have closed your Victoria's Secret account. Your
current balance is $102.65 and this information will be provided to the
national credit reporting agencies. We will continue to send monthly
billing statements on any remaining balance until it is paid in full.
Although you requested your account closed, we hope that you will
continue to shop with Victoria's Secret . We value you as a Victoria's
Secret customer and would like to invite you to reopen your account;
please contact us at [protected].
We have appreciated doing business with you and look forward to serving
you again in the future.
We hope this information is helpful. For the security of your account
information, we ask if there are any follow up further questions you
have related to this concern, that you submit them by logging into your

Sincerely,

My Response:
The account is paid in full...I have your receipt to prove it. I will never shop at Victoria Secrets again and will direct others not to do so. Threatening phone calls are illegal and unnecessary...you will be hearing from my attorney. You have lost a customer and broken the law. Your rep did nothing to assist me or remind me...he threatened me about something I had no knowledge of, when he woke me in the early morning. Obviously you did not read my email or you have not been properly trained...

It looks to me since you travel and seem to be very busy, you should sent up your account with automatic payments. Seems to be a pretty smart and simple answer. If the payment is in place, there is no need for a call. I don't see where laws have been broken. Honestly, what would you do if this was YOUR company and YOUR card members did not pay YOU on time. I'm positive you would be calling also. In my eyes, you just wasted time that you will never get back and your attorney will not waste his time on this nothing matter. Get over it and pay your bills on time.

World Financial Network National Bank Credit Card Program

Accepted offer of credit card in order to receive percentage off purchase in late November. Did not receive credit card or billing. In January, received a bill with late charges. Called the company who "because you've never had a late bill before, we'll give you a one-time reprieve on the charges." Never Late? Never Received! Offered to take payment to store, they said I couldn't pay at the store. I immediately sent my check and 8 days later, it was electronically cashed. In February, I received another bill with late fees again. Contacted the company and received extremely rude Customer Service Rep who stated I didn't pay or must not have put my account number on the check and the duplicate I have is not valid for proof. They do not return your checks, they image them and destroy after 3 months. March, same problem with compounded fees. More rude Customer Service Reps. Getting phone calls. Received a call from the "bank" on a Sunday who threatened to just take the payment from my social security! WHAT?! Called again in March and finally reached a CSR who wrote a "Dispute Form" requesting pulling the image. I sent a copy of the duplicate (with my account numbers covered) as well as bank statements (again no numbers) as proof of their cashing my checks. I have been harassed, threatened, and downright abused by WFNNB. I am awaiting dispute letter from them. Currently researching harassment laws that may be effective against this group. Based on the messages here, there should be some way to shut them down.

Opened a Dress Barn account for the purchase discount. WORST ERROR ! Same problem never received a bill and then late charges. Talked to someone when the third month stmt was about to go out and wanted to pay then. She said no that there was a charge wait for the stmt and then pay. ONLY PERSON THERE THAT WAS EVER HONEST. Then sent a letter to the dispute center and payment in full letter due to never receiving a bill. Dispite numerous letters received at least three times a day threating and harassing phone calls demanding payment. Sent a DO NOT CALL LETTER and then still received calls and noted all calls and person acting against the legal do not call letter...after twice sent another letter informing them of the payment in full and the do not call letter violation. WFNB sent a VERY apolizing letter and that all late charges ( at that time about 6 -7 months worth) were being abated. Have complained to the stores every time they ask if I want to put that on my dress barn charge. WILL NEVER USE THAT CHARGE AGAIN. The discount was not worth the time and energy needed to battle these aggressive bullies. Have read at other sites that people know that do not owe them and just send money so they will stop harrassing them. No wonder the CEO is paid so well! Know the law and you can fight these bullies. They may bark but prosecuting attorney has the BITE!

I work for this company and this is the company's mistake. They give loans to anyone, unemployed, 100 year olds, high schoolers, people who filed bankruptcy. Honestly nothing will change. I hate my job because most people want to argue for the sake of arguing. When i'm nice they push me. I don't make these rules, I don't like these rules I obey them because I like being employed and I don't want me or my wife to be in the same situation as our customers.I just go to work put up with the bs all day and go home. I'm below middle class I pay my bills on time and accept penalties when they access. I try to stay away from credit cards because I don't like to owe.

katielizzie51253 claims the she can pay her bill online way ahead of the due date. NOT TRUE! WFNNB statements only allow you to pay on the due date for an extra $10 or the next day, you cannot schedule a payment online until the day before the due date.

I have been dealing with WFNNB for years and I have never had any kind of problem. Customer Service is always curteous and helpful and I have never had a problem with my bill or with the company. Of course, I always remember that I charged something and I pay online way ahead of time and when I pay it off I always call to verify that I have a zero balance. I do this with every bill I owe. WFNNB is such a convenience for me and they have always treated me fairly

I'm also having a problem with WFNNB. I took advantage of a 6 mos. free finance on furniture I purchased back in September. When I recieved my bill in the mail on February 23 for the final amount that was due on March 2, I paid and mailed in the full amount on February 25. I then recieved a bill in the mail 2 days ago stating that they did not receive my payment until March 9th and I'm being charged a finance charge of $273. On my original bill, it stated that my balance will have no finance charges if paid before 3/8/2009. I find it very interesting that they claimed they didn't get my payment until the day after that 3/8 deadline. I also find it very hard to believe that it took 11 days for my payment to reach their payment center. Something very fishy is going on. I sent in a dispute letter regarding that finance charge today. I reallly hope I don't run into any problems, but after reading some of these complaints, I don't feel hopeful!

World Financial Network National Bank Extreme Late Fees/ Customer Service Rudeness

The minimum payment each month is $10. However, if payment is received one day late there is a $45 fee. I closed my accounts because the late fees were killing me even though I was paying the monthly payment (latest a payment was received was one week). After closing the accounts a customer service rep called me at my place of employment and after I told her that I could not set up a payment plan on the spot, she persisted to tell me that I was being childish and did not want to pay my bills. What she did not know was that my boss was standing in front of me and I did not want to go into the matter at that time. I put her on hold for a minute and explained to my boss, who was understanding. My boss took the phone and explained to the rep that this was a state agency and it would be appreciated if this company would not contact me at work. My boss switched to the speaker phone and the rep was yelling she did not care were if this was a state agency, that as long as I did not pay my bills she would continue to call everyday. With that, my boss asked to speak with her supervisor and she told my boss, " go to h%*$, you stupid b*&^%. The only way we will stop calling is if she would help her poor a%$ employee pay her bills. For a minute I thought that I owed a loan shark or something. I totally forgot that this was an actual business. If anyone knows of a class action lawsuit against this company please let me know. The amount I owe is so small I would hate to spend more on lawyer fees to stop the harrasment.

First of all if u opened an account an didnt receive a statement for 3 months dont u think something may be wrong and u should probably call the lender and inquire? Most of the time if there is a wrong address the customer gave an incorrect address when the account was opened and or moved and never provided the current address. (love how all the blame falls on the bank) Why wld we not want the correct address? Of course we want to send a statement so the bill will be paid. Its also great when the customers are upset with phone calls ... if someone owed u money u wld be calling them too. UNBELIEVBLE ! The bank is so harassing when they call but heres an idea ...answer the phone the first time and stop avoiding a company who was nice enough to lend you money and several calls wouldnt be necessary. PAY YOUR BILLS and there will be no reason to receive a call in the first place.

I just had dealings with a "credit manager" on the phone at my place of work on a Saturday. He called my cell phone 10 times within 3 hours. I have four credit cards with this bank, on all four cards I owe approx $1, 300.00. Imade all my monthly payments on time, never late, usually a week early. In April these bills were over looked as I found myself in a medical emergency requiring hospitalization and surgery. Attempting any normal conversation with this man was useless. He stated over and over evactly what I owed on each card and wanted the money NOW!I went home from work and immediatelly paid these outstanding bills for a total of over $300.00 between the monthly payment, late fees and this months payments. I have attempted to speak with any rep. form this bank and I am put on hold and no one ever picks up the phone. I am going to pay these cards off, cut them up and mail them back and I will triple check and make sure this bank is not the lender should I dicide to obtain another credit card.

VERY bad service. I have excellent credit history and so have no issues with any major credit cards. I applied for a JCrew last Fall and received NO bills except a notice ~3 months after I applied saying I was delinquent in payments. They corrected everything and waived all fees. I closed my account with them soon after.
I then applied for an Express card this December and the SAME thing happened. World Financial Network Nat Bnk handles both of these cards and I'm in the process of clearing everything up. One would think that they could get my address correct once.
I had to go through 6 operators in a span of a month to clear it up. 2 our of the 6 were helpful but the others were on the rude side. I have their names as well as the dates and time that I called so that if need be, they could be reprimanded.
With the economical times, I expect better customer service. I will never sign up for any credit cards if I nknow that WFNNB handles it. I have never made a public complaint about any bad customer service. This is my first one And I will spread the word to others as well. Just to warn others to steer clear of them just in case. So far, my credit history is fine, but the headaches were not worth it.

i had a credit card w hsn with account assure so that in case i lost my job, my balance would be paid off. I lost my job in august. you are not allowed to file a complaint for 2 mos.n the meantime, interest charges are accrued and they continue to bill you for their insurance. i followed the instructions given to me by their rep except for the employer's statement as i don't have anyway of obtaining that because i am not allowed in the building because of my termination. i was assured by the representative that that would be no problem as long i completed the form & sent in my unemployment information which i did..in the meantime..yep insurance & interest is still being accrued. now they are saying they need my hours worked (which was included in the unemployment documentation sent) and have told me that they will only pay the balance on the account from when i was terminated even though insurance charges and interest have continually been charged. asked for a supervisor..was put on hold for over 10 minutes & told a supervisor will call me back..when i insisted on a supervisor, was placed back on hold and after 32 minutes reached a supervisor who insists i get the employer section filled out. i will be reporting this agency to my attorney general & consumer affairs

This has happened to me TWICE with two different companies that uses WFNN as their credit card company. I make purchases either online, via the catalog or in a store, then I get my statement and there is an additional charge from this company called Account Assure. Mind you, the last time this happened, I was THREE months into credit card statements before I realized I was being charged this monthly charge. I called this Account Assure and they reversed the cost. But NO ONE can explain to me HOW that charge got put on my account in the first place. While I plan to contact the Retail Store (Avenue) on Monday, I am VERY inclined to close out ALL THREE of my accounts ... Catherines, Blair & Avenue, seeing that no one seems to know WHY I'm being charged for something I did NOT request or approve. Thanks for listening.

The company charges your credit card some ridicolus fee for insurance. When you become unemployed the insurance is suppoe your credit card off from the date the unemployment began. I have been receiving the run- arounds becuase theyd ont want to pay, but the continuousy charge me monthly knowing i am unemployed, and havent paid the credit card yet. They keep sending me applications, after application saying their missing something when i have all of the signatures, authentic documentation, and I am very competent wwwhen it cmoes to completing simple paperwork. I have since given the information to my local attorney general to hadle because this is a rip-off prcess. Then, they refuse to discontinue there business when yu ask for their removal . sad situation, but i'm getting ready to sue!

Account Assure is the worst business I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I was set up by accident without proper knowledge on what it consisted of. My next statement I noticed I was being charged for it. I called to cancel. They could not find any information on me, but I was being charged for it. They said that once they receive the payment I would be cancelled. I believed them in my naivety.

Next month, I noticed they charged me again. I called them again. This time I took notes. I spoke with their representative and they said that I was still not set up. I told them to set me up and then cancel it. Third month, still not cancelled and now down about $70.

Every time I call, they assure me that they will take care of the problem and call back and let me know. To-date, I have received NO calls from them and I have had to make over six to cancel this. They assure me that now it is cancelled; however, I'm not certain I believe it.

They aren't even refunding me the whole amount. Only 3/4 of it. How is it that I'm paying for someone's clerical error?

Isn't there some sort of business bureau that I can complain to regarding this fraud of a business?

I am having the same problem with this company. It is awful convenient that they can't find where I called in in December 08 to cancel when I received the welcome package. Then to further the aggravation the phone operator is trying to tell me that I did sign and send back the welcome packet. Telling ME that I DID something that I clearly know that I did not! As a courtesy they will wave one month charges and cancel my account. Needless to say they won and they are getting away with a crime. Stealing is stealing even if its small change. If they are collecting this little bits of money from thousands of consumers they are really making a killing. BEWARE!

World Financial Network National Bank DID NOT MAKE MINIMUM PAYMENT

Last month I never received a statement in the mail, which is not my fault. I did not make the minumum due this month and now they are saying my acct. is not in good standing. I owe them 30.00, but its not my fault I never received a bill, now they will charge me penalties. Instead of working with me on there mistake, they send me this terrible letter, I always make my payments every month

I have perfect credit history. I had the very same problem along with some poor customer service. I opened up a Jcrew card with the same problem with not receiving any bills except for the final warning statement on late payment. How were they able to get the final warning statement to me and yet no other previous bills? They cleared the mixup and didn't charge me any fees. But I cancelled my card.
I then applied for an Express card not knowing WFNNB handled it. The same thing happened. I'm in the process of clearing it up now, but it's been a painful and stressful process. Because I haven't received any statements and the Express card, I don't have my account number. Yet they can't give it to me over the phone even if I give them every information they need as a security measure.
I strongly urge others to refrain from doing any business that relates to this bank to save them the headache of possibly ruining your credity history because of their faulty billing process.
