This company lies and doesn't meet their obligations
This company lies and doesn't meet their obligations. My house is suffering damage due to them not completing their job. They won't answer their phone or emails. Don't do business with this company.
Great customer service
Great customer service. They did a really good job replacing our roof and taking care of everything. Richmond even came back to fix a broken vent part that had nothing to do with the roof replacement.
Richmond Exteriors did a complete gutter replacement on our house
Richmond Exteriors did a complete gutter replacement on our house. They faced many challenges like a high roofline, uneven terrain, and landscaping. Despite all that, they did an amazing, professional, and thorough job. I want to give a special shoutout to the team they sent over. *** and Ever are real experts and a joy to collaborate with. I strongly suggest considering Richmond Exteriors for your guttering needs.
We started this process in March
We started this process in March. I understand that things can take longer, but it's frustrating that it's taking so long to get our fence installed. Finally, we received a text saying that they expect to start installing on May 10. I called after 12:30 when no one had shown up, and they told me that they haven't received the fence yet. After leaving a couple of voicemails, Jared Richmond returned my call and rescheduled for June 2. Now we're having issues with rain, and it's been rescheduled again for June 10. They didn't even bother to call and let us know that they wouldn't be coming because of the rain. I tried calling again, but all I got was everyone's voicemail. The next day, I received a call promising that they would come today, June 14. This morning, I got a call saying that they needed to get the oil changed in the truck and would be a little late. My husband called around 12:30 and left another voicemail. Finally, the technicians came by, but not to install the fence, but to check their lines. It's a good thing my husband was home because their drawings were all wrong. The gates weren't drawn in where they were supposed to be, so he had to walk them through it. They said they would be back in the morning after the fencing is loaded on the truck. I chose this company because my family has been friends with the Richmond Family for over 4 generations. I will never make this mistake again with any company that I hire. If it wasn't for the 1/2 price deposit, I would demand my money back!
The owner, Mr. Richmond, has been told about his workers' actions since December .
The owner, Mr. Richmond, has been informed repeatedly since early December about his workers removing and installing aluminum siding. They removed the downspouts right before a heavy rain in summer 2021. Aware of the forecast, they promised to return in three days. During that time, I noticed water damage in the basement, with items along the wall affected and water pooling to a depth of 5 inches. Investigating the cause, I discovered the missing downspouts, which had led to the basement flooding. I reported this to Marathol, an employee of Jerrad, but received no response. Months later, I observed discoloration on the white linoleum laid the previous summer, and a moldy smell developed. By October, I recognized the discoloration as mold from water seeping under the linoleum. On November 5, I hired CIH Services LLC for a mold inspection, costing $355. On November 29, I paid Mold Removers $1025 for remediation. Further, on December 11, I paid $449.51 for repairs in the affected area. Additionally, on July 13, I informed the company that their failure to cover outdoor outlets before the rain led to a short circuit, resulting in a $189.50 electrician bill. Mr. Richmond initially agreed to cover the electrical repair but not the water damage. The total expenses amounted to $2019.01. I have sent a letter with the bills, made 6 calls, and sent 2 emails regarding these issues.

Nov/Dec 2021 I had my roof and gutters took off and replaced by Richmond Exteriors
Nov/Dec 2021 I had my roof and gutters took off and replaced by Richmond Exteriors. I done paid the invoices on 12/22 but ain't got no payment receipts nor *** for product and workmanship. I left voice mails to ***, Richmond Exteriors, on 1/17, 1/18 and 1/21/22 asking for contact. I ask for Paid in Full receipts for Invoices S14647G (Gutters on house) $1,292.00, and S14647R (Roofs for house and detached garage) $6,650.00. Invoices should also show my $4,000 9/9 deposit. I need to move on from the whole experience which was hard from day one and ask the BBBs expert help with something that should be so easy!
I hired Richmond Exteriors to take down my old siding and put up new
I hired Richmond Exteriors to take down my old siding and put up new. When the workers took down the old siding, they also took down the spouts. It was supposed to rain, but they left the down spouts off. We had a heavy rain and water came in my basement on the east and west sides. I've never had water come in on the west side in the 12 years I've lived here. The water ruined the linoleum floor and there was a mold smell. I paid $355 for a mold inspector and $1,025 for a mold remediator. The new linoleum will cost $449.51. The workers also didn't cover the outlets outside, so the sockets didn't work. It cost $189.50 for an electrician. Richmond said he would cover the cost of the electrician, but I haven't received a check yet. They said they wouldn't cover anything else.
We got a new roof put in 2015 'cause of a hail storm
We got a new roof put in 2015 'cause of a hail storm. After 3 years, we noticed a lil' water stain on our ceiling and called 'em to fix it. They never called back or followed up. It kinda went away on its own over the next few years, so we just painted over it and moved on. But in the past year and a half, the leak got worse, so we called 'em again. We made multiple appointments, but nobody showed up or even bothered to call and say they weren't comin'. When we called 'em, they said they had no record of puttin' the roof on or that we were in their database. After tryin' multiple times, I told 'em I'd get my lawyer involved. That day, three people from the company finally called us back. They sent someone to check it out and fix it. He put some caulk on it and said it was fixed. But two weeks later, water was still drippin' down the wall from the ceiling. So we called another roofing company to confirm that the roof was installed wrong, and they confirmed it. We got escalated to the manager, Evan ***. He gave me his personal phone number to send him pictures of the damage inside. But since then, they haven't contacted us back, 'cept to say they can't find our file. Our ceiling is messed up from the water damage and the walls have water pockets in the paint from all the leakin'. I sent all the pictures to the manager, but he hasn't responded. I told 'em that the longer we wait, the more chance there is for mold and maybe even damage to the floor if we get a heavy rain. But once again, no response. We don't wanna sue, but we're willin' to 'cause we got repair quotes that are pretty high. The walls are completely ruined, and so is the ceiling. There's a risk of mold and other problems, but they just brush us off. We do have some documents, texts, and phone calls to prove all this.

I thought by hiring professionals to install a fence, I wouldn't have to babysit or hold their hands
I thought by hiring professionals to install a fence, I wouldn't have to babysit or hold their hands. They do it for a living and I thought they would do it the best way to make sure I'm happy. But it seems like Richmond Exteriors should stick to gutters. Our consultation was great, but everything went downhill from there. We signed the contract on December 6, and installation started on December 27. It's now June 8, and our fence still isn't finished. The main issue is the lack of communication from the company, especially with us, the customers. On December 27, the first four corner flags were placed in the wrong spots, which should have been a warning sign. We had to correct the positions ourselves. Then, it was discovered that the posts couldn't be evenly spaced. Instead of talking to us about it, the crew decided to do two 5-foot panels in a 10-foot space, while the other panels were 8 feet long. It looks terrible. Almost a third of the panels are 5 to 6 feet long. I made the mistake of assuming the fence posts would be evenly spaced. When we asked the crew member why the panels weren't the same length and why they didn't consult us, he said it would be more work for him. Later, they said it wasn't in the contract, but it also didn't say the panels wouldn't be the same length. It just said the work would be done properly. The crew member even admitted he started at the wrong point and didn't tell us until the fence was almost finished. The fence was "installed" on January 9. Here are all the issues: - Both gates have gaps where we can unlock them from the outside - The gates weren't installed level, so they don't work properly - There are gaps in sections where we can see through the fence - The post holes weren't filled in, and they left dirt on our lawn, which we had to fix - The panels are uneven and unlevel - There's mud caked onto our new white vinyl privacy fence. They came to fix the gate gaps a week later, but they didn't do anything else, including the mud. They said the rain would take care of it. There's still mud on our fence. I told them we weren't satisfied with the fence when I received the last invoice on February 4. They said we wouldn't have to pay until we were happy with the product. I reminded them of this and listed the issues that still needed to be addressed. They said they would follow up and schedule an appointment to inspect the work. On February 27, someone was supposed to come to our house to talk about the issues, but they didn't show up. I called the company, and they said the person didn't come to work that day. It took until March 5 for someone to finally come and inspect the fence. They agreed that the quality wasn't up to their standards and talked about fixing the gates, panels, and cleaning the mud. They were supposed to call me on March 9 with their response, but I didn't hear back until March 11. They said they had trouble getting responses from outside contractors. That was the last I heard from them until I called on May 11. I finally received an email on May 13, but it contradicted what was discussed in person. They said only the gates and dirt could be fixed and that the fence looked beautiful. This was not what they said before. On May 22, they were supposed to fix a few things, but they called and said they didn't want to do it because of the rain. They never rescheduled, even though the weather has been good since then. I understand that COVID-19 caused some delays, but I've seen other houses in my neighborhood get work done. If they had communicated the difficulties, I would have been more understanding. Instead, I heard nothing for two months. I posted a 1-star review on their website, but it never showed up. Their rating is still 5 stars. I also posted the review on Yelp, and they replied, apologizing for the delay and saying they had been trying to reach out to me. But they never did. They said they still think the fence looks beautiful and offered to fix the gates. They said they would reach out to me, but I didn't hear from them until July 14, when they left a voicemail threatening to file a claim and place a lien on our home if we didn't pay. I called back and told them we weren't satisfied with the fence and listed the issues again. They sent an invoice with a note threatening legal action if we didn't pay by July 20. On July 15, they emailed, saying they were working on a schedule to fix the gates, fill in the post holes, and clean the fence. We didn't see the email until after we called and spoke with Marizol. She apologized for the report they ran on past due accounts and said they would come on August 3 to fix the issues. On July 22, Jessica called again, threatening legal action. I told her we already spoke with Marizol and had a crew scheduled for August 3. She backtracked and said she hadn't talked to Marizol yet. On August 3, they cleaned the fence and adjusted the gates, but the gates still have gaps. They couldn't fill in the post holes because they thought there would still be dirt from the previous job. They said they would come back on August 12. I called on August 10 to remind them about the gates, but they didn't address it in their email response. They also didn't mention the credits and compensation for the remaining balance. This whole experience has been terrible. The lack of communication and poor customer service are frustrating.
