Sold us by claiming to be CBD friendly. Their bank dropped us for selling CBD.
Don’t use this company if you sell CBD or Delta products. Their bank dropped us for CBD, didn’t notify us that they dropped us for a week but continued taking our money. We had our money on hold for 5 weeks while riverside was unresponsive about the status of our money and still charging us a monthly fee. Now they are trying to force us to continue using them. Bad business.
Fraud.
I’m not even sure where to start with this “company.” Long story short - I worked with them for 4 years with no problems, then upon resigning the crap show started. First I was told I could keep my equipment through this term, that apparently was a lie as I was rushed with emails and calls about returning my old equipment to receive new (which I didn’t want/ care to do) but I did. Then I get notified they were taking double payments from my account and I would be refunded almost $1000. Well, that was a lie. I got refunded $350 since starting this adventure in MAY. I am still waiting on a little over $650 refund, nobody will return my calls, my emails are ignored, and I am out of money. Literally 0/10 on customer service. Not to mention, the employees give ME attitude that THEIR COMPANY owes me money rather than just giving me back my money. They feel the need to make empty promises or completely talk off to me as if I’m inconveniencing them for wanting my money back. Awful awful experience.
Riverside Payments Review: False Advertising, Surprise Fees, and Pushy Sales Tactics
Riverside Payments is a company that claims to offer low rates and no surprise fees, but unfortunately, this is not the case. After being hit with surprise fees, their rates are 2 to 3 times more expensive than advertised. It's also quite bothersome and difficult to use their system, as everything has a required add-on that further adds to the overall costs.
Furthermore, Riverside Payments is known for being bothersome when it comes to canceling their services. They advertise a "cancel at any time at no additional fee" option, but in reality, there are tons of cancellation fees. This has led many to suspect that the company is involved in scamming.
To make matters worse, Riverside Payments has a reputation for calling back to pitch sales after being terminated. The operators can be quite pushy, like an annoying telemarketer, and some even resort to using profanity and threatening remarks to have your business "shut down" for "wasting their time".
Overall, Riverside Payments is a horrible and absolutely abyssmal company. It's no wonder that many people feel that a solid class-action suit needs to be brought up against them (if there isn't one already). It's quite absurd that they continue to call back even after being terminated.
Beware of Riversidepayments: Misleading Account Managers and Chaotic Changes
I have been a customer of Riversidepayments for the past four years and have had a good relationship with them. However, my experience with them changed when Nicole Fritz called me on May 17th and informed me that she was my new account manager. She wanted to adjust my existing Riverside plan to apply new COVID relief discounts. I asked her if this would change our agreement aside from new discounts, and she said no. I also asked her if it would change how batch fees were collected, and she said no. She assured me that everything except new discounts would be the same.
As a long-time customer of Riversidepayments, I trusted Nicole when she hurriedly asked for a driver's license copy and e-signature. She then switched us to April Everhart, who gave us the same answers to our questions. However, we soon realized that neither of them was trustworthy. They either didn't know what they were saying, or they were lying to us.
A day or two later, new equipment arrived, and Riverside tech support called us to install it. We were surprised because Nicole and April didn't mention new equipment when we asked about changes. Tech support told us to replace our existing equipment as new discounts were programmed into the new equipment. We trusted them and did as they said.
However, we soon realized that fees were leaving our checking account daily instead of monthly, and the new equipment cost more than our previous equipment. Nicole Fritz and April Everhart misled us into signing a new multi-year lease under false pretenses. The daily fees were an instant issue, and we had fraud protection against unknown ACH withdrawals from our checking account. As each card batch closed daily through Riverside's equipment, they wanted to take fees via ACH from our account. Fee amounts weren't disclosed on batch slips or online before our bank's ACH approval cutoff time.
April said she would fix it, but it never happened. We kept calling Riverside to verify pending ACH fee amounts, but they either didn't confirm the fees or didn't reply before our bank auto-rejected the ACHs in the afternoon. They couldn't verify the fee amounts before 2 pm EST, halting them from pulling what they're presumably owed, so they're not funding us our sales batches. We called customer service to fix this so fees leave monthly again, but they said the change isn't possible with Nicole and April's concocted agreement.
We called account manager Nicole to see if she could manage our account, but she refused to help and said she strictly sells. We learned what a chaotic mess Nicole is. She's removed herself from all issues she's caused and couldn't care less. Riverside's blessing and April's support let Nicole present herself as an account manager advocating for existing clients. She really just says whatever to sell a plan you don't need at greater cost. April will parrot Nicole. Neither will address the wrong info they delivered. Customer service is unwilling to fix Nicole's account change. Each surprise Nicole and April left out has been against our business's well-being. Look out new customers, this is how they treat existing clients. If Nicole Fritz calls you, don't engage. Just hang up. Learn from our mistake in dealing with Riverside's greasy tactics.
On June 2nd, Phil from Riverside called and said he would look into why the agreement Nicole and April sold us is a mess. We're trusting Phil to help us receive our sales, less process fees owed to Riverside. Phil thinks it will be settled soon, and he knows we will no longer be in the good old lease or garbage new lease.
It's been 14 days since Phil and I spoke, and a month since Nicole and April messed up our merchant processing. We sent all equipment back with UPS, and delivery was on June 13th. We had to reject a charge for equipment we returned, and collections called for payment on the returned equipment. These problems have cost us real time and money and are yet unresolved. We put plenty of good faith, courtesies, and time in with Riverside to fix before posting. If you're using Riversidepayments, get ACH protection on your bank account.
