This is what I got after installing my new roku.
I thought I was conducting business with roku.
I did this from the roku website, so I thought it was ok. After
Getting all my info, they charged me $69.00 to proceed!
I still thought I was dealing with roku until I was told that it was another company that assisted roku!
I feel that this is fraud.
I will stop payment for this.
Same thing happen to me, , I purchased 2 months of Dircttv.now for 70.00 and they send me a free Roku box. When following the directions on the screen of the TV, it gave me a activation code and told me to go online at www roku/link and put in the code, it did not work.. so it had a phone number to call and they kept telling me that I needed to pay them and they wanted a CC number to proceed I kept thinking this is not right but they kept on and on finally gave me a senior citizens discount and told me for 50.00 they would activate it. Later on I went on the real Roku website and found out that I had been a victim of a faulerlet website, I canceled my CC and trying to get the charges took off now. So people watch out for Direct Tv and Roku offers and do not call unless it is a real Roku website...
Had about the same thing happen to me, went to activate my second roku, typed in code and wouldn't take, called number and was told i needed premiere service for more than one roku in house, only one time fee of $59.99. I was leery but in a hurry and paid it, now i find out its a scam! beware of Netqom Solutions! Hope i can get my cc to refund my money!
I had trouble connecting Roku to my new tv. It worked great on my previous TV.I called the 800 number on the Roku site and got connected but it cost me a one time charge of 59.99 The payment was taken by NETPROS. Roku insists they don't charge to get customers connected.Somebody is lying. Has anyone had any luck getting their my back? It's hard to trust anyone these days. As usual you can't understand half of what they're saying.
Got scammed by Netpros this weekend, lost $50.00. I emailed ROKU with all the information I had on Netpros. Haven't received a reply from ROKU as of today.
I went to the ROKU site and a box popped up in the lower RH corner of the screen, offering tech support. I jumped on it thinking I was dealing with ROKU tech support. After being guided through setting up ROKU, I was hit with a 69.99 charge. I told the tech forget it. He put me on hold and came back with the 49.99. I a moment of weakness I relented and agreed to the charge. Stupid on my part!
ROKU doesn't seem to care if Netpros is scamming their customers. I'm done with ROKU and Netpros needs to be shut down, but I'm not so sure ROKU could care less.
Guys! ...Check your spam mail, they seem to be hacking into peoples info, as they post your private passwords (I guess they hack in to get them) saying "Save yourself" we have all your information...
