cpap microfilter for durable med. equipment
For the past 11 years my wife has used c-pap remstar medical equipment for her sleep apnea condition. according to medicare guidelines two (2) #tcf-145 cpap microfilters per month are to be issued to the user by the provider. during the past two weeks we were informed by major medical, a subsidiary of rotech, that it received instructions from rotech to issue one (1) #tcf-145 cpap microfilter to the user every three (3) months. the microfilter traps dust before it enters the machine.
We think that this is an arbitrary decision by rotech without having previously consulted with the durable medical equipment medicare administrative staff. I already called medicare at their [protected] regarding their guidelines for the use of c-pap remstar units.
Thank you for your courtesy in passing judgement on our complaint.
Sincerely, jim and ethel cunningham
cpap supplies wrong
I have been trying to get www.sleepcentral.comto correct supply problems I have been having and they have not fixed the issues, even after repeated contacts by email (unanswered) voicemail (they say they do not have voice mail, call them, consumers are prompted to leave voice mail) and by phone .
They have for several months shipped the wrong supplies or not shipped needed supplies. I have never been shipped the correct water container CPAP machine and now that the container is broken, they will not replace it. Their standard response is since I did not contact them (see above) there is nothing they can do, hence it is my fault.
Meanwhile I am without a water tank, so I am without CPAP. I am at risk for complications of sleep apnea and infection.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
i need to talk to somebody
I have this machine for about two years .Never chang the water tank.it took me to now to figure it out. mean while you send me .two replacement and they are the wrong ones
They ship supplies not ordered, then bill. And then they refuse to take items back. I called, told them practice was wrong. Would not remove charges.
WRONG SUPPLIES SENT OR NOT SENT AT ALL. WRONG WATER CHAMBER SENT. TRIED PHONING THEM OF THIS PROBLEM, ON HOLD FOR OVER 45 MINUTES AND STILL NO ONE ANSWERED. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE SERVICE.
I have not been sent the correct size for wisp cushions my size is SM. The tubing should be the slimline
tubing plus the climate line air for humidification and a water chamber for Air Sense 10 Auto Set For Her.
Serial # [protected] I do not need a sponge filter.
Rotech Healthcare. They're motto should be "Rotech we don't health care" or "Rotech we suck". They are the worst! My first appointment to use this companies "service" was an appointment in Pasadena Ca at 12 noon. I arrived on time and the office was dark. I knocked for 10 minutes and no one came to the door. I sat in my car and waited.Twenty minutes later employees showed up with fast food bag lunches. They let us in and some woman came out from the back of the place. She was there the whole time we were knocking and never bothered to let us in the office or speak with us. Then the employees tried to blame it on our original contact who set the appointment. . Then I was fitted for a mask, however they did not bother to show me all the masks, rather there was only one or two only. The one they choose for me blew air into my eyes. I asked the fitting person to come to my house with the whole line of masks. She claimed she did not come to your house, however I was told they do come out in the beginning. I also overheard her make appointments while I was in the office. Since then I have had a problem getting supplies, more times then not. Phone calls are routinely not returned. I have my CPAP for two years and they have never replaced the dark blue filter which is to be replaced every 6 months. Last time I tried to get the dark blue filter, I was told "just wash it". They should be paying me as they think nothing of having you chase them for service or lack of service. Today, I found the one person who was reliable, has left the company. Even though she left, she was the only one who called me back. They have no after hours phone support, as they are on Eastern Standard Time. You can not even leave a message.
OH MY GOD... and I thought it was just me. I need for Americare Respiratory to accept my new health insurance. Best customer service and no third party resupplier, billing or attitudes.
*Failure to complete correct original order. No cannula with concentrator
*Failure to send replacement cannulas
*Failure to sent replacement column pair
*Failure to return phone calls
*Failure to send service tech for maintenance

My
mother uses Medicare and she got a stroke a few years back and the RN
nurse ordered for her a plastic powered pressure reducing mattress and
they get paid from Medicare for 4 month $76.12 and then after 4 month Medicare
refused to pay and I checked online how
much this will cost and I found out that it is only $85 to
$99.00 dollar and immediately I ordered and new one and I asked them to wait till we
received the new one since she did not have any other, they refused and not
only that they got paid already for 4 month just for this plastic that only
cost $85.00, they are the worst company I ever deal with, basically they are
abusing the system and rip you off,
And also what I am really upset was the type of the letter they
sent me abusive letter as if we steal their plastic and also bombard with phone
call
Rotech is as unprofessional as any company can be. They consistently messed up my billing and I had to call to fix it frequently. After returning my machine, and receiving a statement listing a zero balance, they continued sending me supplies. I returned those supplies and figured my dealings with them were finally behind me. NOPE! I receive a collections notice for $106 dollars for a charge they claim that I missed 7 months prior. I have monthly statements, for the prior 12 months, showing a zero balance at the beginning of every month. I don't know what sort of com game they're trying to pull, but it's absolute B.S.
I am an employee of Rotech. It is our policy at the location level to NOT call a patient regarding CPAP supplies. We have so many patients that require supplies, that we now have Sleep Central, a part of our company that deals strictly with calling and shipping supplies and they (depending on your insurance) will automatically send you supplies. You are automatically enrolled in that when you receive your CPAP machine. You can however, opt out of that at anytime. There is no additional cost or shipping charges for this. I am sorry that each of you have had a bad experience with Rotech. I take pride in my job and I am sure that each of you do too. I realize this is a place to vent or make others aware of your experience with us, but know that we work hard to make sure everyone is taken care of to the fullest extent of our capabilities. Please be aware of co-pays, deductibles, etc. that you may be responsible for. I have had people come in to our location upset with billing issues, we email our billing center and the matter is taken care of within the week. However, if you wait 6 months to take care of a billing issue, it may have gone into collections and there is nothing the location or billing can do. If you receive a bill you think is an error, call right away, don't wait. Also, you can also go to www.sleepcentral.com or email help@sleepcentral.com and tell them about your issue with your supplies. Also, if you change masks at a location, you need to get the name and size of your new mask and update Sleep Central so that you get correct replacement cushions. Again, I am sorry each of you have had a bad experience with our company. Please know that we do care about our patients and we strive to take care of each and every one of you.
We rented a hospital bed and air mattress for my father who was in a nursing home. My father died in November of 2011. Rotech sent their representatives to pickup the equipment which they did pickup the bed but left the mattress. I received a bill for charges of the mattress for December. I called their local office and they said the bill was a mistake and not to pay the bill. In January, I received another bill for two months rent of the mattress. I called again and they said they had made a mistake and had picked up the mattress. Do not pay the bill. I continue to receive bills. I have talked to at least seven different representatives from Rotech, have written a letter to the AR dept and yesterday received a notice from a collections agency for $36.68. To say I am insulted they continue to bill my deceased father for equipment he didn't use is an understatement. Rotech Medical is the most incompetent company I have ever worked with!
I too was told I needed a CPAP unit. Rotech representatives told me it was fully covered by my insurance company. My insurance company said they totally failed to properly bill the item. They charged the insurance company $765 a month rental and with improper paperwork the insurance only paid part of the unit. Rotech then tried to charge me and I informed them that they had assured me it would be fully covered and I was not paying $106, $295, or $354 a month for the machine. Monthly varied because of the deductible. They then turned it over to Allianceone Receivables who hickied my credit bureau 8 times, once for each month's rental for the same item. Their complicity in fraud under the FAIR CREDIT REPORTING ACT is inexcusable. Thieves and liars never make good business relationships. Had I been told the truth about the cost I would have never agreed to this. I lost all income because of an unexpected illness and had zero income. I use this machine less than 50 hours because of problems with it. After many calls they would never correct the problems. Looking at the complaints of this company it is obviously their way of doing business.
My account was transferred last year from Pulmocare to Rotech Healthcare. Soon after the transfer a Rothech rep was at my home to inventory the equipment, that was the last I have had any contact from the company, until last week. Up to now they have never even contacted me to check on needed supplies.
Last week I received a bill for more than $1300.00 for a 02 concentrator rental dating back to August 2010. My equipment has been covered for the past nine years 100% by Medicare and AARP back up. I have called the company (Rothech) five times now and also left three messages requesting a call back. So far they have not acknowledged my calls. I have yet to have a real live person answer the phone, always a recording. In my opinion compared to the service I received from my previous medical supplier this company deserves an F rating and should not be a server for elderly people. My next step is to notify Medicare and the Florida Attorney General, it’s obvious that I am not going to be able to resolve this problem on my own: If you can’t speak to a human then you can’t resolve a problem.

i was charged for suppliess never recieved. i called your office and explained that i did not
order any supplied nor did I recieved it. UPS claims they left if in the front door. We have had lots of
theft here. I told UPS i did not receive it.
i was charge for supplied i did not receive this is rediculous. i tried calling and no one picks up the phone. I spoke with UPS who claims they left if in front of my door. I did not ask for any supplies nor did get it. I will not pay for nothing received. Maria Lugo
