Rust was the legal representation for a class action suit against BMW (electric coolant pump failure)
Rust was the legal representation for a class action suit against BMW (electric coolant pump failure). The case was decided in early 2021. Funds were given to Rust on May 5. To date and even so an extended time has passed since May 5, Rust held on to the funds and has not distributed them to members of the class In my attempts to talk to Rust, I learned that my claim has been approved. And that no payment date has been set; leading to further delay in distributing funds. Reading the several complaints about Rust on Complaintsboard.com or yelp, it appears that Rust deploys a pattern where funds are collected but then withheld from members of the class. Does this pattern reflect theft?
I had received a form to fill out last Fall in regards to The Milk Powder Settlement
I had received a form to fill out last Fall in regards to The Milk Powder Settlement. I filled this out and sent it back because as a farmer I was owed the money from this settlement. Anyway Rust Consulting is was working on this case. I received a check in the mail on 5/15 and it was VOID as of 4/15 . This money was allocated to me and should not have been VOID . I called to ask for a check reissued since this did not get to me on time and have not gotten any response on this matter. This seems like a scam to keep the money that should be going to the people that were affected (especially farming) by this matter. I don't see what is so hard about reissuing a check!

Filed a claim with Rust Consulting, Inc regarding BMW engine coolant pump claim number ***. I received a request asking for additional information provided on the initial claim. I have no received a response regarding the status of claim.
I received a check due to a Wells Fargo unauthorized transaction class action from a certain Consulting firm. I am unable to find a contact number for this firm and am unable to cash the check because the check cashing service is unable to verify the business.
Rust consulting is taking too long to get back to me. They must send me a settlement check. Long time ago. And they still haven't sent me the settlement check. Please help me. *** Philippe
Rust consulting delays updates and claim payouts for the Gelis timing chain module case
Rust consulting has taken an unreasonable amount of time to provide updates and pay out my claim. I'm involved in the Gelis timing chain module settlement case. I unfortunately paid out of pocket and have been waiting for reimbursement of funds I spent well over a year ago for a claim I filed over a year ago. They sent me a letter in November right before Thanksgiving and I sent back the documents they needed by the deadline. I felt that was even immoral considering the timeframe given and the new criteria versus what was requested initially. This is clearly an attempt to wear down consumers who have valid claims. It should be criminal to not update innocent consumers. No update every 3, 6, 9, or at the 12-month mark...nothing but empty promises. Please help. My family and I need the money owed via this settlement.

Rust Consulting is responsible for payment distribution as related to the BMW class action lawsuit as it relates to the water coolant pump failure. I have procured all documents I that are available to me. I had to track down a bank statement for a credit card I no longer use as verification of payment for the repair in 2013. I had to contact the new dealership location in an attempt to get an invoice for the repair. The dealership is the same owner but closed the location where the repair was made. They "purged" all of their records and the current Service Manager is the same employee that assisted me with the original repair (correspondence attached). It is unreasonable to meet the criteria set forth to fulfill my claim based on the circumstances. I would like to be reimbursed for the costs I incurred and due from the settlement of this case. I was part of a settlement against General Assembly and awarded $2,584.16
I was part of a settlement against General Assembly and awarded $2,584.16. The check arrived at an old address, eventually was forwarded to my current one by which time it was expired. I called the company and once they understood my issue the man on the phone HUNG UP ON ME. I called back again, got the same man again, and he hung up on me again! I've seen multiple people have this same issue. The company claims that all unclaimed funds are donated to charity. I would love to know which charity that is, and if they have a connection to Rust Consulting. This seems like blatent stealing to me and I would be very intersted in seeing a class action suit against Rust Consulting to bring justice to all of the people who were not given a reasonable amount of time to claim their rightful payouts, and who's money was effectively stolen from them.
Since 12/7 I got a letter at my old address in San Jose, CA, claiming I had not claimed a settlement check from a CFPB vs. Freedom Debt Relief LLC settlement for $2,257.50. I never received any check from this so I emailed customer service. They laimed they would reissue the check and it could take 3 months to arrive. Nothing came again, so on 3/12 I emailed again, they said they would reissue the check again. Nothing came. I contacted them again around 4/14 and asked if I could change the address to my NC address they said they would but once again nothing has come. I reached out agaib today but it really is ridiculous that this hasn't been resolved yet. Their final emails were in some weird secure messaging system requiring a password and I have now been locked out of that account so messages I received there I cannot access. I tried resetting the password and was locked out. This seems like a scam but if it isn't then I expect to receive my check.
2/24 I received an email from Rusk Consulting stating I would receive a check for Click4Support's fraud for $18.76. The email stated on 2/24 to email at admin click@supportrefund.com if I wanted a paper check. I emailed on 2/25-stating I wanted a paper check mailed to me. 2/26- I called at 4:41 p.m. to [protected] requesting a paper check- Rusk Consulting. I was told I would have to wait 60 days and then 4-6 weeks for the check to be mailed to me. 3/4- I called at 3:08 p.m. to [protected] requesting a paper check-Rusk Consulting 3/8 I called at 8:30 a.m.- Rusk Consulting to [protected] requesting a paper check 7/12 I called at 11:05 a.m. Rusk Consulting and I was told by Tania that Paypal had said I had accepted the check. I called Paypal and I had NOT accepted the check. I called back to Rusk Consulting and told them I had not accepted the check. I am requesting a paper check to be mailed to me. This has been back and forth. I never accepted or clicked on
My mortgage was in foreclosure in 2009 by Chase. There was a settlement where Rust Consulting was the Paying Agent. I've made numerous attempts to find out the status of the settlement. To no avail phone number always has a recording and no follow-up. The Independent Foreclosure has expired in 2016 but I have not received anything or notice. I've research OCC, Federal Reserve and Florida Unclaimed Treasury. What I want is my settlement and how can I obtain this. Please help. Thank you

I was informed from the FTC that I had a refund of $49.27 coming to me as a result of a class action suit filed against OMG/V/Tech
I was informed from the FTC that I had a refund of $49.27 coming to me as a result of a class action suit filed against OMG/V/Tech. This letter came from PayPal. It stated that I could email or call if I wanted a refund check sent to me. I did both of those things. When I didn't receive a check, I called Paypal and was informed that a refund check had been sent to Rust Consulting and I would need to get the refund from them. I called Rust Consulting and they said they didn't have the refund and I would need to get it from Paypal. I have called both companies on numerous occasions and both companies say the other one has the money. I haven't received any refund. Someone other than me has my money and I want it. This looks like fraud to me. There are millions of dollars at stake, and I'm sure I'm not the only one that didn't receive their money.

On March 29th, I called Rust Consulting about a settlement they were disbursing, to which I was a recipient. I was told a check was mailed to a previous address and was advised by the company to email [protected]@uofprefund.com to request a new check be sent. On that day, the company emailed me back and said it was being sent out. It never arrived. The company said the settlement claim date would expire after 90 days, which is in the following week. If I did not receive and cash the check by then, my claim amount would be reallocated to another resource. I again remailed Rust Consulting at the email address above this week, but no reply was received. After reading all of the consumer complaints about their deceptive practices of keeping settlements, I decided to file a Complaintsboard.com complaint to see if someone can contact the company on my behalf as they have failed to follow up with what they promised me three months ago. It isn't much but they shouldn't be able to keep it. Thank you! Kimberly

I received a US Bank check from Rust Consulting, Inc dated 10/17 for a settlement.
I received a check from US Bank, dated 10/17, issued as part of a settlement by Rust Consulting, Inc. Their address is PO Box 54, Minneapolis, MN [protected], and this was in connection with a claim against Wells Fargo HMC Overtime Case Claims Administrator. Rust Consulting's letter advised contacting them after the check's void date of 2/14. I reached out to request reissuance of the uncashed check I still hold. They informed me the period for reissuance had lapsed and my settlement was donated without my consent. They failed to provide a timeframe for this action or the recipient of the donation. Additionally, they sent a W2 Tax Form irrelevant to me since I never accessed the funds. I am seeking reissuance of the check to rightfully claim my settlement. Their actions were unjust and lacked transparency regarding the check and the supposed donation.

Im a part of the Amazon Flex drivers FTC case and was requested a W9 form to get my money. I sent my form on November 5 and was promised that Ill get my money in December. Now is already January but still nothing. I contacted the support line every week since December, but nobody can tell me whats the issue with my check.
I sent in a claim form for the California Hormone Replacement Therapy Class Action Settlement which was approved under check number 9134 in the amount of $458.64. I just got this check in the mail on 01/03 which is dated 09/28. The postmark on the envelope for this settlement check was 09/28. Im not sure why the extreme delay in mail delivery occurred but, this check expired on 10/31. Since I did not receive the check until 01/03, I would like a new one sent to me. A copy of the check along with the outside of the envelope and the scan from my mail handler datd 01/03 when this class action settlement check was received is attached. To ensure delivery of any replacement check, please have it mailed using my new office address of: Lonny *** Thank you and Happy Holidays.
Rust consulting is taking an inordinate amount of time to respond to my emails. I'm unable to speak to a live person for any updates or assistance. I'm involved in the Rust vs. Gelis timing chain module settlement case. Unfortunately, I paid out of pocket and have been waiting for reimbursement for funds I spent over a year ago. I filed a claim more than a year ago. They sent me a letter in November, and I promptly returned the required documents via next-day tracked mail. Since then, there has been no update or communication, and I am still waiting to be compensated. I was initially told the process would take a certain number of days. Now it's the middle of January, and I'm still awaiting resolution.
