My sister gave me $200 in Gift Cards to Ruth Chris for my birthday. She just called me to ask how my dinner was, and I told her the good and the bad. She made me promise to contact you and let you know what wasn't enjoyable for me at the restaurant.
We dined in Fairfax, VA on Thursday, August 17th. We were seated at a little table in the back corner, next to the doors to the outside dining area.
I wasn't in the mood for steak, so I ordered the crab cakes. I've never ordered anything but steak at your restaurant before, and I will never order anything but steak again. The crab cakes were small and didn't have much taste at all. I ate part of one and took the rest home to try to doctor up sometime.
While sitting and eating our food, the wait staff kept going in and out of the door to the outside area. Every time they did, the wind blew my hair into my face. I tried putting my hair behind my ears to hopefully alleviate the problem, but the wind was so strong, it still blew my hair from my ears onto my face.
Before we left the restaurant the maitre d came over to our table. He asked how everything was. I mentioned how uncomfortable I was with the wind blowing onto me over and over again. He made a joke about it, laughed, and walked away. I didn't get a chance to mention not liking the crab cakes.
I still have a few dollars left on my gift card, but honestly, I'm not sure I would go back to Ruth Chris restaurant.
