I would recommend purchasing vinyl from a local supplier to avoid any potential shipping issues. Furthermore, it bothered me that RVinyl does not post their phone number as a point of contact. This inconvenience suggests to me that there may be underlying issues that RVinyl is trying not to reveal. Despite the hiccup, RVinyl's products and services were satisfactory.
Disappointing Experience with RVinyl: Order Mix-Up and Poor Customer Service
I recently had an experience with RVinyl and unfortunately it was not positive. I placed an order with them and after a week had passed, I had not received any update on the status of my order. This prompted me to reach out and inquire. While I was informed that Iain would call me back, unfortunately this did not occur. Instead, David was the one to reach out and let me know that the vinyl I had ordered was actually out of stock. In an effort to rectify the situation, Iain suggested a replacement from another brand which was a different color. However, my client was not interested in the new color and decided to cancel the job altogether.
I followed up with David to cancel my order and even sent an email to further confirm the cancellation. However, a few minutes later, I received an email indicating that my order had already been shipped. Naturally, I called David to figure out what had happened and he looked in the computer to inform me that Iain had overridden the cancellation request and sent the order anyway.
After several email exchanges and phone calls, I finally spoke with Iain. I explained that the job had been cancelled based on the information RVinyl had given me, and he ultimately cast blame on David for the mix-up. Unfortunately, I was told that the shipping of the vinyl couldn't be stopped despite it being less than an hour since the label was created. As a result, I'm now left with the hassle of returning the vinyl and fighting for a refund from RVinyl.
Overall, my experience with RVinyl was disappointing and I'll be hesitant to do business with them again in the future.
