Stay was not good
Stay was not good. Front desk staff was nice, but that's it. We stayed in a two room suite which was old but clean. TV broke on second night and staff told us to unplug it for 30 mins and plug it back in, but it didn't work. Staff acted like we were bothering them and had bad attitudes. Tiki bar only played country music and wasn't for everyone. Wouldn't bring my family here again, not worth the money.

I stayed at Sandpiper Beacon Beach Resort from January to February 1st. This place was the worst place I ever stayed. The elevators were broken for three full days, so I had to walk up seven flights of stairs. There was dog poop left in the elevator for three days, and no one picked it up. The bartender at the Tikki Bar was rude. When I asked to put the volume up for the football game, he said in an angry voice, "MY BAR MY RULES," so there was no volume. The toilet overflowed on the floor for four straight days, and I had to listen to the toilet running. I paid $2,000 for a month's stay, but I left ten days earlier because the place was disgusting! I asked for a refund, but they said, "We don't give refunds out." When I arrived back in Massachusetts, I called the "resort," and they told me that the room I was staying in had been rented! I had already paid for it! I want to be compensated!

It is overpriced, the staff is unfriendly, and the villas are infested with cockroaches. The amenities are not as stocked as expected and many appliances were broken. The pool had fecal matter on the ground and baby roaches were found in the lazy river. The beach was also crowded and dirty. Save your money and find a better resort to stay at.

Vacation was terrible! I got there on 3/30/2022 and left on 4/3/2022. My family was bothered for three nights. Someone knocked on our door and ran away, especially after 11 pm. I told the staff every day and asked for another room, but they said they were full, even though I saw empty rooms. I was worried because my daughter is pregnant, and on the third day, someone kicked our door in. I told the staff, but they didn't care. On my last night, I had to protect my family. We waited and caught the people who were knocking and running. I took pictures of them and showed them to the office. Luckily, security came with me. The staff didn't do anything to make us feel safe. Last year, a male staff member walked in on my 14-year-old daughter when he wasn't supposed to be there. This time, I made sure she wasn't alone. If the door was kicked open, my daughter could have been hurt. I tried to contact Patrick, but he ignored my calls and messages. I paid $1280 and didn't enjoy my vacation. The staff was the worst part. They said they had cameras, but they didn't. They won't be happy until someone gets hurt. Teens were drinking alcohol from the tiki bar, so if you want a safe place for your kids, don't go there. They don't care once they have your money. The police should have been called, and my family shouldn't have had to feel unsafe. They need better management and staff training. I tried to talk to them before writing a bad review, but they didn't respond. Maybe they will care now that it's on the internet. As a travel agent, I'm disgusted. I would never leave my clients in an unsafe situation. I understand the staff may be overworked, but I work hard to go on vacation, so there's no excuse. I want my money back and won't go back because we don't feel safe.

We arrived on the 20 they gave us room689 little room could not even get the luggage in nor was it beach front that I paid for called the desk they moved us to 738 we stayed in this outdated room for 2 nights the beds was so hard we woke up with back aches ,call down at 11 am for towels had to call back at 250pm still no towels ,the first time we showered the tub stood in water for 30 minutes I called down it was another 20 minutes for anyone came up to fix it and so my husband had to wait for them.So at this time I'm pissed I go to the office and speak with Bobby about it he moves us again to 735 witch this room had been redone.couldnt swim for everyone jumping on you and them drinking alcohol in the pool and smoking this place is out of date .The pictures on the website are not what it is now.We couldn't enjoy ourself for all the stress from this place. The people at the front desk act like you take up there time unprofessional period

Room 1 was a mess!
Room 1 was a mess! The bathroom tiles were all separated and there was black gunk in between them. The towels smelled like cigarette smoke and bleach, and there was pee on the sides of the toilet. I even saw roaches behind the curtain to go out the sliding glass door. The glass door was so nasty that it had haze on it from smoke film. Bugs were flying all over the room and black trash was blowing out of the HVAC unit. One of the beds had yellow/golden dead/dried bugs in the sewing of the cover. I was so scared and worried that I assumed these were bed bugs. Room 2 was a little better, but still not great. It was musky and stunk of cigarettes, and even though there were new floor tiles, the floors were sticky. I had requested a ground floor because my grandmother can't walk long distances or upstairs, but we got a room with two beds instead. The balcony wooden stabilizers were loose, which was dangerous for my 2-year-old. I passed the pool for the second time and it was still a mess. SEE ATTACHMENT!

Me and my family went to Panama City, FL for a baseball game and we stayed at Sandpiper Beacon. It was a bummer. We got there early and had to wait for our room, which was okay. But when we finally got it, it was dirty. The fridge was gross and there was a dead bug in the freezer. They said they had wifi but we couldn't connect even though we had the right password. The bathtub was draining slow so there was water all over the place. The TV was fuzzy and didn't work the whole time. The shelf in the bathroom was broken. The shower was too short for me and my family. We're not even that tall, I'm only 5'6. The service was bad too. My daughter cut her foot and asked for a band-aid at the front desk. They told her to buy one from the gift shop. Are you kidding me? They charge so much money and can't even give a kid a band-aid.

I went to Sandpiper Beacon Beach Resort on May 11. I was feeling bad when I got there. I booked a week without seeing the resort. I'm turning 83 in July. There was a loud party at the pool that I could hear in the lobby. The lobby was dirty and the property didn't look like it did online. I thought I could stay one night, but I had an accident when I went to the lobby. My granddaughter helped me back to the car. She and my daughter went in to ask for a refund so we could go somewhere quiet and clean. With covid still being a problem, there were a lot of young people partying and none of them were wearing masks. The manager said no one was above him, but he didn't own the property. My daughter explained that I was sick and this place wouldn't work for us. Patrick, the manager, was cold and heartless. The front desk employee said we could get a refund, but Patrick said no refund.

The hallways were full of trash and we got stuck in the elevator for 5 minutes. When we finally got to our room, I checked the bed and saw poop and bed bugs. My boyfriend and I ran out of the room with our kids and went back to the lobby. He asked for a refund and they gave us our money back right away. They said they would put the deposit back on our card in 48-72 hours, but it's been over a week and we haven't seen anything. I even called the bank and they haven't gotten anything from Sand Piper Beacon. This place shouldn't even be open because it's not just our room that had bed bugs, it's most of them! Other people who stayed there said they had the same problem.

Aside from that incident, the resort was okay. The room was clean and had a nice view of the beach. The pool area was also nice and my kids enjoyed the water slides. However, the food at the on-site restaurant was not very good and overpriced. We ended up eating out for most of our meals.
Overall, I would say that the Sandpiper Beacon Beach Resort is an average place to stay. Just be careful with the furniture in the rooms and don't expect too much from the restaurant.

We got to the Sandpiper Beacon Beach Resort and there were a lot of people waiting outside. We had to give our name to the man with the clipboard and wait outside until our name was called. We waited for two and a half hours until we could check in. When we got to our room, the keys didn't work. We had to go back to the office twice to get keys that worked. The first room we went into had a strong musty sour smell. The air conditioners were loud and the place was old. The worst thing was that we had a mouse in our room. We told them on Monday morning and they put down two 'sticky' traps, but they never came to check them even though we asked twice. On Friday morning, we saw that the mouse had chewed the door jam and left sawdust on the floor. We also saw mouse pee on the floor and dining table! When we told them at check-out, the guy just laughed and said "Really?" We paid $570.28/night for this.

Stayed at Sandpiper Beacon Beach Resort from 3/24/2022 to 3/27/2022 for $1196.22. Talked to Chris, the manager, when checking out and he gave me a card to the head manager. Tried calling and emailing but got no response. Vacation was supposed to be fun but turned scary for my family. Couple in room 106 next to ours became violent and were intoxicated. Man had a loaded gun and was violent on the premises. Police were called and we could hear them through the wall threatening to kill each other. Police said they were not serious and man agreed to go to bed around 3 am. Me and my kids were scared and staff said there were no other rooms to move us to. Staff let them stay even though there were children in the hotel. Blood was all over our patio and the following morning it was still there. Cleaning crew knew about it but didn't clean it up. This is a health violation and could cause diseases like AIDS and hepatitis C. I told Chris about it and he said the cleaning staff wasn't doing their job but didn't say anything about cleaning it up. I think compensation and refund should be considered for emotional distress. It's not okay to expect someone to go to bed knowing what happened and be scared all night. Couldn't sleep and had to drive 6 hours home the next morning.
