Refund
Despite being scammed and unable to access my trading account, I took action by reporting the case to the police. However, no solution has been provided to date. Fortunately, I found (cybertecx net) a reliable private investigator who helped me retrieve my money without requesting an advance fee. I am relieved to have my funds returned and I'm happy to share my experience.
Terrible Santander Customer Service
I had an extremely disappointing experience with Santander's customer service. After receiving suspicious email and text regarding a new account, I contacted Santander for clarification. Despite their assurances that no account application had been made, I later discovered that an unknown mobile number and email address had been added to my account. The customer service team failed to confirm the legitimacy of the emails and texts I received, leaving me feeling vulnerable and unsure. Despite my efforts they still allowed opening an account and authorising an overdraft.
To address the issue, I lodged a complaint few times, which has been ongoing for a staggering 44 days without any resolution. During this time, my access to my accounts was blocked twice- first time with my knowledge and new access information sent to me and the second time a month later without any notification or new login details sent out. Despite my repeated attempts, including numerous phone call and emails over the past two weeks, to chase up the complaint and regain access, I have received no valid response or assistance from the customer service team.
This lack of communication and support from Santander has been highly frustrating and has caused significant inconvenience. As a result, I have been unable to carry out essential banking activities and have experienced financial and personal disruption.
Overall, my experience with Santander's customer service has been highly unsatisfactory. Very weak security, the prolonged complaint process, lack of communication, and the blocking of account access without notice demonstrate a severe lack of care and professionalism. I strongly advise against using Santander's services based on my personal experience!
Santander poor customer service
Terrible Experience with Santander UK: Blocked Account and Disgusting Customer Service
I had a terrible experience with Santander UK. They blocked my account without any warning or explanation, leaving me stranded without access to my hard-earned money. Their customer service was incredibly unprofessional, rude, and downright disgusting. I couldn't believe how poorly they treated me, especially in such a stressful situation. It's clear that they don't care about their customers or their needs. I would never recommend Santander UK to anyone, and I will be closing my account as soon as possible. It's a shame that such a large and well-known bank can be so careless and disrespectful towards their customers. Avoid them at all costs!
Impressed with Santander UK's Business Banking Services: A Review
I've been doing some research on Santander UK and I must say, I'm quite impressed. Although I'm not currently banking with them, I'm seriously considering making the switch. One of the things that caught my attention is their offer of free banking for life for businesses. My current bank's free banking period is about to expire, so this could be a smart move for me.
From what I've read, Santander UK seems to be a top choice for business banking. Martin Lewis, a well-known financial expert, even recommends them over other leading companies. That's definitely a good sign.
But it's not just the free banking offer that's appealing. Santander UK also offers a range of other services that could benefit my business. For example, they have a mobile app that allows me to manage my accounts on the go. That's a huge plus for me, as I'm always on the move and need to be able to access my accounts quickly and easily.
Another thing that I like about Santander UK is their commitment to customer service. They have a dedicated team that's available 24/7 to help with any issues or questions that I may have. That's reassuring to know, especially when it comes to something as important as my business finances.
Overall, I think Santander UK could be a great choice for my business banking needs. I'm definitely going to look into it further and see if it's the right fit for me.
Unreliable Systems and Poor Customer Service: My Experience with Santander UK
Santander UK is a bank that offers a range of services to its customers. They have a website, santander.co.uk, where you can find information about their products and services. One of their most popular products is the Santander 123 account, which offers cash back on direct debit payments.
However, some customers have reported issues with the bank's systems and customer service. It seems that the bank has had to resort to offering cash back to keep customers happy. This is not a good sign, as it suggests that the bank is not able to provide a good service on its own.
I myself had a current account with Santander for many years. I was initially attracted by the interest rates they offered, but these rates eventually faded away. When I tried to use the account as my main bank account, I found that the bank's systems were dysfunctional and their customer service was poor. I eventually had to switch to a different bank.
Overall, I would not recommend Santander UK to anyone looking for a reliable bank. While they may offer attractive cash back deals, their systems and customer service leave a lot to be desired. If you are looking for a bank that you can rely on, I would suggest looking elsewhere.
Santander UK Savings Account Review: Disappointing Customer Service and False Advertising
I recently applied for a savings account with Santander UK at the beginning of October. They advertised an attractive interest rate of 2.75% for easy access, which caught my attention. After submitting my application, I received an email from them stating that they had approved my application and would be setting up the account soon. However, I did not hear anything from them for a while, so I decided to follow up.
To my surprise, they informed me that they had dropped my application because it took too long to process. I was frustrated because I had no control over their internal processes, yet they made it seem like it was my fault. To make matters worse, they downgraded the interest rate to 1.8%, which was a significant drop from the original rate.
I felt like I wasted a lot of time dealing with Santander UK, and I could have put my money elsewhere if I had known they were such liars and time-wasters. It was disappointing to see a company that I trusted to handle my finances behave in such a manner.
As a result, I am seriously considering taking my current account to a different provider. It's a shame because I have been a loyal customer of Santander UK for a while, but their recent actions have left a bad taste in my mouth. I hope they can improve their processes and customer service in the future, or they risk losing more customers like me.
Santander's Security Policy Needs Improvement: A Customer's Experience
So, I had this call from someone who said they were from Santander, and they asked me for my Date of Birth. I was pretty suspicious, because you hear all these stories about scammers trying to get your personal details. But then, a few weeks later, I found out that it really was a Santander employee! I couldn't believe it.
I got in touch with Santander to complain about this, but they didn't seem to care. They just said that it was their security policy, and that they weren't going to change it. I think that's really worrying, because if customers can't tell the difference between a real Santander employee and a scammer, then it's going to be much easier for the scammers to steal people's money.
I mean, I understand that banks need to be careful about security, but there has to be a better way of doing things. Maybe they could use some other kind of verification, like a password or a security question. Or maybe they could send a text message or an email to confirm that it's really them.
Anyway, I'm really disappointed with Santander. I thought they were supposed to be a trustworthy bank, but now I'm not so sure. I'm going to be much more careful in future, and I think other people should be too. You never know who's on the other end of the phone.
Santander UK's Overbearing Security Measures Hindered My Account Access
I had a recent experience with Santander UK and it was not a pleasant one. I needed to change my OTP (One Time Password) and was unable to do so online. I thought that if I had already entered the correct details to access my account, then I should have the freedom to use all the facilities available. However, Santander did not agree with me.
I was told that I had passed security on three separate occasions, but on the fourth occasion, the phone was hung up on me. They claimed that they needed more security questions to be answered, even though I had already passed security. I found this to be frustrating and confusing. It felt like they were changing the rules of the game halfway through.
They kept insisting that they did not know who was calling, but they had my account details on their screen. They even went as far as blocking my access to my account online and my use of an ATM. They were holding my money as a kind of ransom until I went to a branch with ID, even though I had already passed security. It was as if they were trying to bully me into doing what they wanted.
I understand that security is important, but I felt like they were going overboard with their demands. They were asking too many questions and it felt like they were just doing it for the sake of it. It was frustrating to be treated this way, especially when I had already passed security.
In the end, I was able to resolve the issue, but it was not a pleasant experience. I hope that Santander can improve their customer service in the future and make the process of changing passwords and accessing accounts easier for their customers.
Unfair Charges: My Disappointing Experience with Santander Bank
I recently retired from my job as a senior lecturer at Nottingham Trent University, where I taught mainly about crime. I'm not easily shocked, but my recent experience with Santander Bank has truly left me in disbelief.
On the afternoon of June 15th, 2021, my sister and I went to the Santander Bank branch located on Clumber Street in Nottingham. The purpose of our visit was to distribute money from the Estate of our late mother. We were planning to transfer money to the accounts of two of our sisters, who are both long-term residents of New Zealand. Unfortunately, we were unable to do so due to the ongoing Covid situation, which is particularly bad in Nottingham. Given that both my sister and I are pensioners and in high-risk groups, we did not want to return to the bank. In discussion with the bank worker, we decided that the best way forward would be for the bank to issue two cheques that we could then post to New Zealand. The bank worker explained to us the advantages of having the cheques issued in New Zealand Dollars, rather than in Sterling. Two cheques were issued.
Later that day, we informed our sisters that we would be posting them the cheques. However, one of them informed us that New Zealand banks are no longer accepting overseas cheques. The following day, my sister cancelled the cheques. However, charges of around ?3,000 were deducted by the bank. We have complained to the bank about these excessive and hugely unfair charges, but we have just been called by Emma Cordingley from the bank's Glasgow Head Office, who informed us that we will not receive a refund. We accept that we should pay some charges, but certainly not around ?3,000.
Our mother, who died in terrible circumstances during the height of the Covid outbreak, would be appalled by the behaviour of the bank. We have made a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service, with my MP copied in.
I am deeply disappointed by the way Santander Bank has handled this situation. As a retired academic, I have always believed in fairness and justice. The bank's refusal to refund us the excessive charges is a clear violation of these principles. I hope that the Financial Ombudsman Service will investigate this matter thoroughly and ensure that we receive a fair resolution.
