Your BEST BET for precious metals!
There are many sites online that want your gold and silver business--many of them (particularly those with a huge advertising budget allowing them to buy celebrity endorsements) are very poor choices that pressure you into buying overpriced, over-hyped coins that are no more valuable than generic bullion. That is not the case with SD Bullion. While you may not find the biggest selection at SD Bullion, you will consistently find what you are looking for at far better prices than those high-pressure dealers. Avoid the disappointment and buyers' remorse by going to SD Bullion for your precious metal investments.
Satisfied buyer
Received delivery of of Archangel Michael 1 oz gold bar yesterday. I think alot of people are buying gold over concerns about inflation, national debt and future of our dollar. It took about 4 weeks to receive the gold which was fine by me. Price was locked in at purchase. It came encapsulated with Cert-Lock which was one of the reasons I bought through SD Bullion. However, I could not down load the app for my phone because the app was an older version and not compatible for my Samsung S20+phone. Other than that, the bar was pristine and I was very satisfied with purchase. I will be buying from this company again in the future.

Selling Metal to SD Bullion
As Silver rose up I decided to sell my silver to SD Bullion. It was about 10 min phone call to get quote and PO from them to sell it. Due to the brand of silver bars I had their price was above spot. I accepted and followed shipping instructions on their PO. It took US post office to get insured registered shipment an entire week to get it to them. They emailed me regularly every step of the process. Once the verified shipment they asked for W9 (wish they asked for it up front to not lose a day there). Within 24 hrs of having my W9 they wired money as promised to my savings account. This was very easy. I would sell to them again.
More than I could have imagined
This all I started due to my love of Morgan silver dollars. But that's not all it grew became a silver investment for me and now 4:30 other people and became an investment and gold from mines to sell. I build collections and sell them. I invest in silver & coins for a dozen people and help others invest in their future. In the future I will be making statuettes and figurines out of precious metals. All of this is due to SD Bullion and my insatiable attitude when it comes to staying busy. I am retired after a stroke. Silver & SD Bullion helped reinvent myself into real success story!
Thanks guys for giving me the opportunity to work again, RASAARE
Buy with Confidence
SD Bullion is my primary source to purchase my gold and silver. As a family man, I do allocate money into precious metals as a savings. My money seems to disappears as quick as I get it. Dental work on the wife, kids dorm in college, new transmission on my truck, and the rent and all the bills. So with all that if I don't try to put some away, I will have nothing for the future. It's stressful but more stressful thinking I will have nothing in the future. If you read this and your young start saving in precious metals, you will be ahead and protect your future with a real savings. SD Bullion very happy with my Britannia bars and coins, got a great deal. Thank you, Javier
Professional Service
This Coin & Bullion distributor (SD BULLION) is really competitive for its age and size! They consistently offer THE LOWEST PREMIUMS ON THE MOST POPULAR GOLD & SILVER PRODUCTS...
Although, for some Platinum Issues, and other less common or Numismatic products, better product availability, and lower premiums may be found on other sites. I avoid reading their opinion editorials, as they appear overly bullish. Cash payment options can be a bit slow, but that is to be expected (bank wire, physical checks). Having ordered from various retailers I do recommend SD BULLION as the first go to, online retailer, for anyone who is looking to invest in PMs. Overall they are my preferred online distributor of popular coins and bars, and currently the only retailer I purchase from online, on a frequent basis!
SDBullion has geat prices, always done right!
While some other sites may have "special" mint coins that may be exclusives, such as with privy images, I've found that SD Bullion often has a better price on public mintages. For example, I get the best prices on the new or pre-release Silver 5 oz "America The Beautiful" (ATB) coins. Yes, they're about $100 each, that's the downside of massive 5 oz coins, but the mintages are low, recently around 30K for each coin. Compare that to millions of the Silver Eagles each year. Sadly, US mints haven't moved from 999 to newer 9999 purity that Canada and Perth mints have made the new standard.
I have had no problems with shipping. I send checks and so have to wait a few days for them to clear, but that's to be expected. Only one time did I report an order mis-price and they promptly corrected it.
I do compare sites before placing an order, that's common sense, but I generally end up with them, lately.
SD BULLION was my TOP CHOICE, after thorough researching for BEST bullion deals
Though I did have some problems with good communications with some of SD
BULLION's reps (They were less than empathetic in helpfully answering my concerns as an ignorant/hesitant, first-time buyer.), But I also had some very good communications with other reps who were very reassuring in their helpfulness, as well. As a former business owner myself, I know any company has a range of quality in the folks they hire to represent them.
One other issue I experienced was my order shipped somewhat late (a week)
After I directly transferred payment within Bank of America accounts. The time
Delay in processing and shipping my order was nearly twice as long as expected,
Since my payment was in their bank account instantly, the moment I made the
In-bank money transfer.
And the shipment was further delayed from what I expected for FED EX 2 Day shipping, because it did not include 2 Day Saturday Delivery, which resulted 2 additional days delay in receiving my order.
None-the-less, their silver bullion came well packaged, for both shipping and long-term storage. Also, in my opinion, their bullion was in 1st class condition--no complaints at all from me on that score, especially for the price.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, after researching both before and after my bullion purchase, I find SD BULLION to have the most thorough and helpful and simplest/most intuitive web site to understand in making bullion/precious metals choices.
Also VERY IMPORTANT, I have found has repeatedly advertised the lowest (overall) online prices to buy bullion and the easiest to understand, competitive selling prices, as well. For me, both these pricing advantages are powerful reasons to buy from SD BULLION before other bullion suppliers.
From 60 years of past business and shopping experiences, I believe SD BULLION has chosen a very simple and successful business model; i. E., offer their product at the BEST prices, on a well designed online web-store, striving to serve all their customer's needs in a manner as doing unto others as they, themselves, would be done unto.
My belief is supported by SD BULLION's "The Doc's Satisfaction Guarantee--The Doc believes in doing business the old-fashioned way. We provide every customer with a refund, return and/or exchange policy on everything we sell. If for any reason you have an issue with your order, please give us a call. We will always do our best to accommodate you!"
All in all, as a first-time bullion buyer, I FEEL VERY THANKFUL MY RESEARCH LED ME TO SD BULLION to supply my online bullion. And I have no qualms recommending them to others for doing their bullion business with. If my future experience should alter that recommendation, I will update this review. But as of today, I expect any future reviews will only express more of my satisfaction with SD BULLION.
Sincerely, ~R. L. R. In Virginia
They use the excuse of a "price lockin" to amass wealth for the owner allowing them to charge outrageous fees for which there is no excuse
They use the excuse of a "price lockin" to amass wealth for the owner allowing them to charge outrageous fees for which there is no excuse. They claim that they incur expenses for a cancellation even when the item is still in storage. They wanted to charge me a cancellation fee because they would not proceed with the order due to the fact that I had a split billing/shipping address. They asked for a photo of my delivers license and utility bill which I still feel uncomfortable about. I asked them to delete it from their emails but they did not reply. They are a retail store, not the NYSE. I replaced my credit card because of concern that they might try something fraudulent in the future, based on all the Complaintsboard.com complaints I have read. There is little chance that anyone can recoup the value of the gold items that SD Bullion sells. The "price" is loaded with fees to enrich the owner
The site is well designed / efficient. Ordering is easy, as was linking my bank account. I wish the delay was shorter to clear funds and ship (the ONLY reason for a 4 star instead of 5). The products were as ordered and well packaged. I will be ordering again when I possible.
They lied about ACH payment after I placed a large order. They then threatened with excessive penalty fees if the order was canceled. Stay far away from this company.
I am very glad that I did business with the best precious metals company in the United States. The products are always in good condition and very happy with the service and the shipping was very fast. I got my recommendation from JBTV. I will continue to do business. with SD BULLION.
My first order of silver coins was received in perfect condition. It took a little longer than I expected but I understand there is a high demand currently. I will order again.
Honestly, I wasn't intending to leave a review, but after receiving my order I figured it would be fair
Honestly, I wasn't intending to leave a review, but after receiving my order I figured it would be fair. I ordered some silver off SD Bullion because I saw a really good premium over spot percentage for a generic bar. Soon after, I heard a little more about the company regarding subpar customer service and allegations of selling fake silver (likely due to not doing adequate testing of 3rd party metals sold to them by the general public). I was afraid that I might run into the same issues. But when my silver arrived, it was securely and discreetly packaged, and I was surprised to see that it came with an assay (which wasn't advertised) which was from a Nadir Metals. The only negative thing I can say is that I felt like it took a long time to receive my package from when I first ordered it, but it should be said that I paid by check via mail (I'm used to quicker service from a different company.)!
Ordering was extremely easy, linking bank account through Plaid was seamless. When the ordered product arrived it was packaged very securely and had no damage. The items are in beautiful condition. My only "complaint" would be the length of time or echecks to clear. It took 11 days from date of order until the order arrived at my address. Granted there was a weekend involved but I wish there was a quicker way to process echecks. I realize a wire transfer is available however I don't feel like paying the wire fee at my bank as an additional expense. At any rate it's a first world problem. I will definitely be ordering from SD Bullion again.
I have bought from SD Bullion twice and both times were a pleasant experience. The order processing and shipping times were very fast. My coins arrived well packaged and in pristine condition. Their prices are affordable for small time investors like me. I will only use SD Bullion for my future precious metal purchases.
Order arrived well packaged I just wish I would have waited seeing how the silver price dropped will buy again
Great customer service and exceptional product, quality and price! It is always a pleasure to do business with SD Bullion and having shopped around, SD Bullion in my opinion cannot be beat and will continue to receive my business. I also want to give a big Thank You to Levi in customer service for responding to an item ordered in error and being able to rectify it in a satisfactory and professional manner.
Like everyone of the negative reviews with this company it's the customer service
Like everyone of the negative reviews with this company it's the customer service. This group of people will blatantly lie to you and that doesn't seem to be a problem with them. I made a fairly large order with SD Bullion, They advertised 3 months free storage. Prior to emailing the storage documents back to them I asked if there would be a shipping charge out of the depository and was told no, Then when I called to have my order shipped I was told there is a 885.00 fee to ship. It took 3 days of lies from customer service to get my order shipped and I had to pay the 885.00 to get this partial order. This Customer service could care less about customers there all about profit go elsewhere for your medal's! One more thing in the documents for storage they asked some security questions, the depository didn't ask anything but the email address anyone who had your email address could have called and received your medal!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
Great service! I will use for all future silver orders.
Alyssa H is a STAR! She is calm & competent, and does what she says she will do. One never knows these days when calling into a company, if an intelligent, conscientious (and, in my case, patient) person will be on the other end. Alyssa was all that - and MORE. A PLEASURE to deal with. I hope the company knows how lucky they are to have her! Cheers
Fast service, Good price, new customer will buy again. nice coins
Packed securely and shipping time accurate. Looking forward to getting next coin when on sale to continue my collection. Wish they did price match so always buy here.
I was banned by this business because I canceled my order twice!
I was banned by this business because I canceled my order twice! My first attempt online with this business I admit I might have ordered something but panicked and quickly canceled, I got them on the phone and they said if I didn't reinstate the order they would charge me a cancellation fee which was very high (can't recall the cost). So I reordered and all was fine. But then about a year later I knew I didn't ordered anything (just looking) and they claimed I canceled another order (which I didn't). Later I learned they "banned " me from the site. No notification ...nothing. I wsn't to pleased but there are plenty of other dealers. But now they won't remove my account (with my information)! So if they get hacked or if there is a disgruntled employee or if they develop a distaste for those that have been banned they can "mess" with me. Again I'm not to pleased. Isn't there a law that requires them to remove my vital information?
Good stuff and cheapest of them all. Will order again.
Very pleased with everything! Great deal! Love specials like this.
FAST...RELIABLE...very satisfied, repeat customer...I will definitely continue future purchases here, exclusively!
Order was packed well. Never had a problem ordering online with SD Bullion. Plan to order from again in the future.
SD Bullion is extremely reliable
SD Bullion is extremely reliable. I've seen some negative reviews from other customers but from my personal experience, SD Bullion has been nothing but stellar. I've ordered from them about a dozen times and I've never encountered any issues. Their customer service department is way above average and they actually always answer their phones during business hours. I've never been routed to a voice mail and had to wait days for a call back response like many other businesses nowadays. The coins are always in brilliant uncirculated condition and delivered promptly once the orders are fulfilled. Their website provides accurate and up to the minute tracking. Their prices are consistently competitive. The only downside to SD Bullion is that they may not have as much variety as APMEX or JM Bullion but this downside is made up by their lower prices, quality products, and excellent customer service. Thank you for being my precious metals provider!

I recently placed an order for some product and the day after I placed the order I realized that the delivery timing was not going to work for me. I phoned to cancel the order intending to reorder at a later date. I was informed that there would be a cancelation fee so I asked to speak with a manager and got Jeremiah. I explained what had happened and why I needed to cancel and after a little discussion Jeremiah offered a solution that would work. Not only did Jeremiah offer a solution that would meet my needs, but he also engaged his fellow team members within different departments in the organization to help ensure that the solution was executed. Jeremiah went above and beyond including a follow-up call the next day to make sure I got everything I needed and let me know personally that my order was on the way. I truly appreciate all the effort by Jeremiah and the rest of the team and just want to say that they definitely represented SD Bullion in a positive manner. Thank you again.
Horrible company
Horrible company. I placed a rather small order at this "company" for under $3K worth of gold using PAY PAL because they advertise that they accept PAY PAL. I then heard nothing for over 24 hours to get an email telling me I needed to take time out of my day to send them a copy of my driver's license (front and back),MORE # CELL ,MORE EMAIL ADRESS to use a PAY PAL...I heard nothing. I had to follow-up with them AND I gave them my PERSONAL INFORMATION PER THEIR REQUEST to then get DENIED. So, now they have a copy of MY DRIVER'S LICENSE and I have NO ORDER. I got no rationale - no logical explanation as to why they DENIED service to me viaPAY PAL and I placed an order worth THREE TIMES that at another company on the same day. I only used them to get MORE metals using a PAY PAL . NO RESPONSE. AND THEY DENY THE GOODS WHEN THE PRICE OF THE METALS GO UP.! I FIND THAT ALL VERY FASCINATING. I better not have ONE ounce of a problem linked to fraud or any misconduct because I WILL KNOW EXACTLY WHERE IT CAME FROM AND I WILL TAKE ACTION. NEVER AGAIN.

I researched several bullion companies on this ComplaintsBoard.com page prior to purchasing
I researched several bullion companies on this Complaintsboard.com page prior to purchasing. To my surprise many companies had bad ratings and did nothing to appease their customers. I noticed that SD Bullion had by far the best consumer satisfaction rate. I chose to do business with SD Bullion. I have ordered more than five times from them and have always been satisfied with my order. This includes from the time I place my order and the time it takes to receive my order. I called to make a change to one of my orders and although I had to be put through to a supervisor to make the change, I was accommodated - when they really didn't have to do that according to their terms and conditions. SD Bullions customer support team always responds in a reasonable time period to any emails I may send with questions about a product or inventory. When I select the "notify me" for when stock arrives, I always get the notification. I don't know if there is anything more that this company can do to satisfy a customer. I give them a AAA rating and if they happen to see this review: thank you so much SD Bullion. -

I purchased a BU (Brilliant Uncirculated,) gold coin from SD Bullion and was extremely disappointed when the coin arrived with a very obvious, very large scuffed and scratched face. I immediately contacted customer service and assumed that because I had made several purchases from them in the past (and because their website actually says they have a satisfaction guarantee) that they would be interested in keeping me as a happy customer. Unfortunately that was not the case. They were very uncaring that I was unhappy. They told me that it was actually common for an uncirculated coin to have these kinds of scratches. This is utterly absurd. I've purchased uncirculated coins in the past and the reason I do so is because I want them to be in mostly mint condition. Having dings and dents and even some very light scratching which are usually called "bag marks" can be common, as they can come from the manufacturer this way. But deep scratching and scuffing is absolutely not common. I have spent thousands of dollars with this company in the past and due to this one transaction, I will never spend another penny with them. I will go somewhere else and will tell everyone I know to do the same!
I have ordered from SD Bullion for a few years
I have ordered from SD Bullion for a few years. Here are my last three order experiences with SD Bullion. Order #1 - FedEx said they delivered to my address. No package. 12 hours later it was found at my neighbors. SD Bullion was alerted. They said they would handle it by contacting FedEx. They did not. Order #2 - Ordered again from SD Bullion. Met the FedEX Truck outside my home. The driver handed me a package and started to drive away. It was the wrong package to the wrong address. I stopped the truck and retrieved the correct package. Order #3 - FedEx said they delivered to my address. 6 hours later I woke my neighbor and it was found outside their home there. SD Bullion was alerted. SD said in all cases they put the right address on it and that's all they could do. Except for Fed EX works for them. SD said they would "TRY" to contact FedEx but it was nothing they could do. I explained that FedEx worked for them and that FedEx just cost them a customer and that the least they could do was contact Fedex, explain the situation, and personally lodge a complaint with them. I asked them to contact FedEx and at least let me know that they did and what their response was. No promises. No sale. It seems it's not their problem. It seems I'm not their customer. I thought customer service dealt with customer service problems. DO NOT BUT FROM SD BULLION.
DO NOT TRUST YOUR ORDER WITH THIS COMPANY
DO NOT TRUST YOUR ORDER WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY ABSOLUTELY DROPPED THE BALL AND COST ME A SIGNIFICANTLY GOOD POSITION ON MY FIRST TIME BUYING GOLD WITH THEM AS PART OF SEVERAL ORDERS THAT I MADE WITH OTHER COMPANIES ALL AT THE SAME TIME AND ONLY SD BULLION RUINED MY ORDER AND EXPERIENCE. I was in contact with the company at every step of the way using all my legal information that is registered with my bank, business, insurance and professional licenses and drivers license and follow up called and was reassured by email and phone conversation that the order was successfully placed to find out later they wanted my drivers license and then they canceled my order with no explanation and refuse to give me a 100g order at the same price they assured me was in place . Ridiculous unprofessional experience that cost me a lot of money I could have placed with another company while waiting for them to finally drop the ball then have someone that sounded the age of a highschooler tell me there is nothing more they will do. I had two other companies fill orders on the same information without a problem and I was available at every step for any information they needed and I called immediately after making order and emails were sent to confirm my order was successfully placed..a day later there is no deal like what I had in site and they cancel my order severely costing me opportunity . AVOID THIS COMPANY
SD Bullion Complaints 15
Be careful what you are agreeing to
The worst customer service I ever experienced.
Rude on the phone, trying to talk over customer. If you are trying to order their Random design rounds you would not get what is pictured, they send you their own SD bullion round, they will not exchange it for any other, rounds pictured are NOT in STOCK.
They will tell you that it is noted in their product description. They have IRA approved note on Random selected rounds, when you look at the pictures, while their SD Round doesn't have this note.
They will not back down to make you happy, all they care is about getting your money and forget about you. They are ruthless and greedy. I had to cancel the coin purchase, which never been shipped to me from the first place and was charged $110 restocking fee.
I was immediately asked for the credit card number, was not even given the option to pay the other way, now after reading some reviews, I figured it out why: because it is the fastest way to get hold of people's money. I was told by Jeremiah that he is doing me a huge favor by cancelling the purchase and charging me $110. I also had to call later and ask to cancel the order on my profile, because money was taken and the order was still there. Receipt for the transaction was not provided, which seems strange to me. Read their Terms and Condition BEFORE placing the order. They will charge you 5 % of the purchase price if you had to cancel. They will tell you this is common in this industry, while what is common is charging difference in price which was locked on the day of purchase and the day you cancelled, if there is a difference. They are making money on excessive or exorbitant charge of cancellation fee. I wish they would tell me how much money they lost from the day I purchased the coin to the day I cancelled it, considering the coin never been sent out and they never run out of those coins and the price of the coin actually went up on the day I cancelled. They will apologise that you feel this way, but will do nothing to correct the situation. Read reviews on gripeo website and stay away from this business, There are plenty other trusted online sellers better than this one, not sure how they keep their high BBB rating
Bad service
If shipment is lost you will wait two months to get made whole. They don't care. Use coin shop, safer. Update: 3/28/23. Thanks for the canned response CEO of SD Bullion. If you had checked, I have been waiting since my original order on 2/8/2023. I responded to all your company "fully insured shipment" requests for information, notarized forms on the same day I received them via email. What you didn't explain in your review response for people to see is a customer (my personal experience) will wait one week while you let the shipper investigate. Then the request for insurance form comes and the insurance process starts. I asked your customer service rep on the phone the same day they received my faxed, notarized form how long it will be, he stated the longest he has seen a claim take is 30 days. Now you tell me it always takes 30 days. I called on 3/15, the customer service rep told me it was scheduled to ship on 3/27. Next week on 3/22 I got an email saying that my original items were out of stock, did I want a refund or take generics. I responded back the same day saying send the generics. Rachel said she would get that sent over to get taken care of. Now due to unprecedented demand my email gets an automated reply that i will get a response in 24 - 48 Business Hours. If thats not a typo from ZenDesk, that 3 - 6 business days. I called this morning and due to unprecedented demand after 15 minutes of waiting the customer is told by message there is nobody available to take their call and try email.
I understand your problems with the demand but how about some priority for a long time customer who has been waiting through no fault of their own for their product that they got charged for over six weeks ago. That's my frustration and what people need to know before they use online dealers. Maybe more selection but when this happens is it worth it? And people, if their insurance company decides that maybe you got your package, not as clearly stolen or lost as mine was, do you think you will ever see your thousands of dollars? Fully insured just like your house and car doesn't mean the insurance company is going to pay up due to exclusions and limitations. Tyler if you respond to this again, please tell me you personally had order *** re-shipment expedited. I will update again to let folks know what happened.

I ordered a 1 KG silver bullion bar from SD Bullion and sent them a check because they claimed they do not accept eChecks (they are now claiming otherwise). I called them after a while and they claimed they never received the check. Since I know they received it (I did a bill pay transaction with *** Bank) I know they received the check but never cashedit. Because of my poor experience iwith them ( I callled them to ask where the silver was and they claimed they never received the check, and *** Bank reversed the check and charged me a fee for the unpaid check), I was not going to repeat the process. I received a cancellation invoice from them in the amount of a ***et loss (which is a ficticious amount) plus $35 for the order cancellation. I want to be paid by them the fee *** Bank charged me (it is a minimal amount, but it is principal ($10) plus I want their invoice cancelled. Needless to say I plan to never do business with them again. Because of my poor experience with *** I had no desire to send them another check, so they decided to cancel the order (which is OK

I have made two orders from sd bullion, both were canceled, costing me about 300.00 dollars. the reason for the cancellation was that payment was not received. this was due to my choosing a wire method when I meant an e-check. all of the information for an e- check was entered on the check out, so I assumed the payment would go through. they never took the money out of my account. they never contacted me to give me an opportunity ti rectify the situation, by e-mail or phone, I never received any message. I feel this is unethical business practice and should be stopped. most people will rectify the situation and make full payment if they are informed about the problem. I would appreciate the cancellation fees to be refunded to me so I can make the required payment for the orders. thank you.
This is not my first time to make the order and I know the order process of SD Bullion. The last order I made was on 6/30/2022 and I sent the check later. I looked forward to receiving my ordered product, but never receive it. Besides, I have not received any call or mail from SD Bullion about this order until today. Today I got the mail from SD bullion about cancellation invoice and said that they never received my payment check, which is very strange and it never happened to me. I called them and asked what is going on since I sent the payment check already. The staff told me that SD Bullion talked with me on the phone on 7/19, but I didn't or refuse to pay them. This is very ridiculous since I never talked with them on the phone. I asked him about the recorded voice which he claimed he had. He hanged up the phone. According to SD Bullion, I didn't get my ordered product and need to pay them the cancellation fee and market loss and total will be $100.10. This is unacceptable just because they claimed that they didn't receive my payment check.
9/24/22 I was attempting to purchase silver from sd bullion. They showed me the price at checkout and they had a memo that said *the price will be locked for 5 minutes. When I confirmed and went to the next screen and gave my information. The price remained the same. Still stating that the price was locked for 5 minutes. Then when I went to give my credit card information the price jumped up by $1,000. I exited the transaction and backed out. I attempted once more on incognito mode and the same thing happened. SD bullion is creating a "bait and switch"
On 8/7/22 I purchase 50 individually wrapped 1 gram gold bars for $72.19 each for a total of $3609.50. When items arrived I received 1 bar with 50 bars all together. The item I received was $2930.09 with the difference of $679.41 now the seller will not send difference and refuses to return my call. The seller has conducted a "bait and switch" and is conducting dishonest business.

THESE GUYS ARE CROOKS, DO NOT EVEN LOOK AT THEIR WEBSITE!
THESE GUYS ARE CROOKS, DO NOT EVEN LOOK AT THEIR WEBSITE! Looked into buying gold coins with them, I wanted to see the bottom line price after all the blah blah which required me entering an order online... I put that I would do the transaction with a bank wire, nothing was given to them other than my phone number and email... As suspected, the total came out to be about $50 per coin over what they quoted until I entered the order so I decided to not purchase... A week later I start getting emails and phone calls from them saying if I don't pay the $18,200 and buy the coins, that there would be over $1000 in order cancelation fees.. I told them they are being crooked pirates and I would for sure do no business with them, promising to not pay a penny... They then told me I could only pay $200 as a special offer to close the account... I will do everything I can to overturn anything they turn in on my credit, but I will never pay for services not rendered just because they put hidden disclaimers and unscrupulous hidden rules on their order forms.. I expect them to attempt to ruin my credit in attempt to get money from me, I will fight it

They sent me a cancellation letter with a market loss of $258.75 with the cancellation fee of $124.93 for a grand total of $383.68 with the threat of also increasing it if it *** to go to collections to $575.52. I never completed any transaction nor gave them my bank account at all. Once I found out how they wanted payment I declined to make that payment. I called yesterday and the man was very rude that I talk to. I will never do business with this company nor will I ever suggest anybody to do so. Run the other way.
I ordered 2 gold coins from the company and they were not delivered. However, the tracking number says it was left with an individual - "This is not true" and there is a forged signature on the "Proof of Delivery" report and I filed a police report that states the package was lost during delivery as well. I've also asked the company numerous times to provide me any proof that the package was indeed delivered to the address that I provided, and they refuse to do so. After countless emails back and forth, the company isn't willing to resolve this issue at all.
Customer Service Issues with order cancellation fees/market loss
Customer Service Issues with order cancellation fees/market loss. SD Bullion was trying to force me into paying for an order that I cancelled immediately, with one of their former employees. We had two taped conversations (which they acknowledged) that day regarding the fact that I wanted to break up the order, and place two separate orders totaling the same amount, which I did. I few days later, I received an email stating that I was liable for, and had to pay a market loss, and a cancellation fee. I called the accounting department and re-affirmed, the taped conversation I had with the former employee, and SD Bullion tried to threaten with collections & possibly litigation, if I didn't at least pay at least half of the fee's that they imposed and charged. The end result was that in order for them to completely cancel the above fee's I had to re-place the original order again. (which I didn't want to do) for a higher margin, otherwise I would be sent to collections. In addition to the above, I specifically stressed several times that I wanted the product to be sent by either FedEx signature required that didn't happen. This company does not work with customers but seem to rush thru the orders. Not to mention, that their margins are extremely high.

Date of order: May 06, 2022
Order Number: [Redacted]
Amount of order: $411.92
On May 11th, I received an email from SD Bullion stating that they had not received payment for the aforementioned order. I contacted my bank to find out that the process for the money transfer had not been initiated by SD Bullion. Consequently, I called SD Bullion to clarify the situation. They claimed that my account was a savings account. However, I reconfirmed the routing and account numbers for my checking account with them, and they were indeed correct. I also reconfirmed my numbers with my bank, and they were accurate as well. Despite this, SD Bullion still refused to process my order. Ultimately, I had no choice but to cancel the order. Now, I am being charged a $35 fee due to an error on SD Bullion's part.
Sd bullion tring to collect money. Said I ordered 1.25 gold bar. Order#*** $190.95. Want cancellation fee. I never ordered from them or gave them my bank account number.
On 4-13-22, I accidentally clicked the wrong button on their website and made the first steps of an unwanted purchase; I did not provide any payment information, so the purchase never went through. On 4-19, I called the company to ensure that there was no pending purchase; even though I never provided payment information, they informed me that I would have to pay a cancelation fee. I declined because I never actually made a purchase, and it was an accident. I never paid anything, but they generated an order number, ***. Today on 5-26-22, I received a letter threatening to send me to collections unless I pay for canceling that order, an order I never actually made. The letter states that resolution is required by 5-25-22; however, it just arrived today.
I was browsing at gold online and visited many websites to compare pricing. SD Bullion happened to be one of the websites I visited and now they say I owe them some money. About two weeks ago, I received a letter stating that I owed SD Bullion $1272.16 and they were going to send me to collections if I didn't pay. Last week, I received the same letter from SD Bullion but it was certified. I don't understand how I owe them this money, when I never purchased anything, and now I feel bully and harassed. I would really appreciate some help with resolving this issue. Thank you in advance and enjoy your weekend.
SD Bullion misleading customers to PROMOTE SELLING THEIR OWN COIN - wrong product snet Instead of 1 OZ silver rounds per SD Bullion choice
SD Bullion misleading customers to PROMOTE SELLING THEIR OWN COIN - wrong product snet Instead of 1 OZ silver rounds per SD Bullion choice please see attachment 2 , I received 6 SD Bullion Silver rounds which are not shown on the picture in addition of 2 I already ordered as they are listed separately I DIDN' T order 8 SD Bullion silver rounds that was sent to me, I ordered 2 of them and if I wanted more, I would order more. I asked for different product that was not sent to me. Please see pictures attached. Their agent was no help to me , he was pretty rude, he was arguing with me over this order, which I as a paying customer really do not appreciate. Please check the pictures attached, you can see the entire order and 8 SD bullions, 6 of them didn't ask for, I asked for totally different product. The product I purchased is IRA APPROVED, SD bullion coin is not. Nowhere in the pictures with the design that you pick SD Bullion is shown, if I would see it in this lot, I would not order it. Please check the document that accompanied the lot, even those coins supposed to come from the different bin than SD Bullions. I asked the company to provide me with shipping label, so I can send coins back. They refused to. They told me i have to pay out my pocket for the shipping. They lied on their website and mislead the customers . Very disappointing

Date 4/13 purchased gold on 4/8 no orders in account portal called to get order status operator cancelled my order with out asking me manager was of no help. (***)
I placed an order for ~$750, incorrectly selecting wire transfer as the payment type. Within 2 minutes, I had emailed SD Bullion requesting this order be cancelled, and I placed an identical order right away using a credit card which was paid immediately. I've now received an invoice for $76.40 for a cancellation fee for the first order, which I had immediately and clearly requested to be cancelled. This is unreasonable and unaccommodating. Seeing as I still placed an identical order, paying immediately, and promptly requesting the prior to be cancelled, SD Bullion did not incur any kind of loss and I just want the first order cancelled without a fee. I received the cancellation invoice notice on Friday April 23rd, noting that I must resolve by April 19th, giving me no time to respond and clear noticed that this will be sent to collections for $114.

To Whom It May Concern, I had made an accidental purchase online with SDBullion.com and did not know or understand that the order had actually been processed in the first part March in 2022. I was showing my wife the website and how I had purchased silver coins in the past. We were confused with the payment requirements. I had previously paid using a credit card. I received an email approximately a week later saying that their company, SD Bullion, had not received payment from the order. I immediately wrote an email stating that the order had accidentally been placed and to cancel the order. I received a response two days later stating that I had to contact the company by phone in order to stop the transaction. I called their company on Monday, March 21st, 2022 and talked with a representative named *** and was told that I owed their company over one thousand dollars for the cancellation. I was extremely upset and told her situation. I was eventually transferred to a supervisor who threatened me with retaliation and a pursuit of collections. I was coerced into paying $350.00 to stop the threat. I was told that the $350.00 was for a market loss on the price of silver and I checked after our conversation and the price on silver had actually gone up. I would like my $350.00 payment returned. Thank you for any help or assistance

Not able to cancel any order placed with SD Bullion?!
Not able to cancel any order placed with SD Bullion?! Purchase Date : Feb. 2nd Problem Date : Feb. 3rd. Order number : *** Sales Rep :*** I received this email stating that any cancellation will only be allowed under extraordinary circumstances and there is a $35 cancellation fee. I never saw any terms as such being prompted to me during the checkout process and therefore I am not aware of such a term of use. If I knew this, I would never place any order from such a business that does not allow cancel order or return order. I don't think it is best business practice to disallow your shoppers to cancel an order. Especially the order hasn't been processed or received yet. I literally canceled it within half an hour after I placed the order. *** Per our Terms of Use, any cancellation request must be filed via telephone during normal business hours. Our customer service team will evaluate any request to cancel an order on a case-by-case basis. Only under extraordinary circumstances will a cancellation be approved. As a reminder, cancellation fees are due at the time of cancellation. Cancellation fees are calculated as 5% of the order total or $35, whichever is greater, plus any applicable market loss. Our bullion team can be reached at [protected]. We are available from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. est Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. est on Friday. Sincerely

I purchased a product online
I purchased a product online. Claiming Payment Bounced and are now charging a large fee. I tried to make a purchase from them 03/07 for $500. I was notified that my payment was received on 03/10 and then later on 03/16 showing that it wasn't. I asked that they cancel my order. I was told I needed to call to cancel which I felt was quite ridiculous and while working full time, I could not call in during their business hours. After several emails back and forth and several calls later, I found that they are claiming my payment bounced. This was never expressed prior and my account had ample funds to take care of this. They are now charging $175 for a cancellation fee. I offered to repay for the order or place a new order for the equivalent value which I felt was more than fair. They refused and stated I would have to pay this ridiculous fee or it will be sent to collections. I have purchased thousands of dollars in bullion from their competitors (***), not to mention several orders from them previously. I never had an issue like this nor such inflexible customer service when trying to resolve the situation. I am very saddened by this experience and feel taken advantage of by very unfair/predatory terms of their sales. Buyer beware. I fully believe that in these financially uncertain times that they wanted to sell my product for a higher value since premiums increased since my order and they want to collect a fee to bolster the bottom line. I will not include SD Bullion as reliable supplier in my recommendations to customers and hobbyists.

They won't give me a $319.71 dollars refund
They won't give me a $319.71 dollars refund. I purchased a roll of 90% silver halves barber VG roll at $319.71 dollars on March 1st order #***, and i returned them the same day i received them because they weren't in VG (very good) condition as they advertised it and they received them the following Monday March 9th. I emailed them and called them requesting an exchange roll and they agreed they even emailed me back about it ,etc. so i've been waiting for my new roll and i never received it, i called them several times and asked them when im going to get my exchanged roll and one guy told me i was supposed to get it pretty soon that was the first week of april, then this other lady told me that they were out of inventory and she didn't know when they are going to have my exchanged roll so, i just called them again last monday March 27th almost 2 months and the lady said again that they have no clue as when they could send me my new roll of coins so i told her that i was tired of waiting and that i was going to need my money back then she put me on hold because she needed to talk to her manager 25 min later she picks up the phone and the first thing she said is that they're gonna charge me a restocking fee of 5%, which is crazy, anyway i told her to give me a refund and she told me i was gonna get it the same day, she lied again so i call them again she said i was gonna get it today and as far as i know i haven't received any refund at all, i'm tired of the way these people at SD BULLION conduct they business and customer service, i hope you can talk to them and tell them to stop freaking playing around this is their phone number [protected]. I hope they listen to you.

I placed an order of 3 gold bars on 4/1 that I never received
I placed an order of 3 gold bars on 4/1 that I never received. The package was delivered on 4/27, signed by the USPS driver. I placed an order of 3 gold bars on 4/1, order# *** which cost $5,143.62. When I realized I never received the order around the first week of Nov. 2020, I contacted USPS to track the package. They informed me that the package was delivered on 4/27 and signed by the driver, ***. They told me I could not file a claim because I was not the shipper. Therefore, I immediately contacted SD Bullion to advised them of the situation so they could file the claim. Since I never heard back from them, I contacted SD Bullion yesterday, 2/8 to inform them again that I did not receive the order. They said they do not have any record of my call and it's too late to submit a claim. I spoke with a Manager*** and she said she would investigate the issue. I then called back later that day and spoke with ***. I asked for***'s email address so I could put my concerns in writing. But, *** insisted that I tell her the problem because she was over*** and could resolve the problem today. After explaining my situation to her, she was rude, unprofessional and she hung up on me. I spoke with several employees at SD Bullion and they told me that there is no time limited on claims. I have been a customer since 2017 and I have placed several orders with them. I am very disappointed of their unprofessionalism and the way I am being treated. I have spent thousands of dollars with SD Bullion and they are fully aware of how the orders are being delivered and has chosen not to make any changes. If the orders were being delivered in the manner that they were supposed to, customer's signature required. This would not be an issue.

Experienced terrible customer service due to employee instructions and now receiving insane collection letters and calls
Experienced terrible customer service due to employee instructions and now receiving insane collection letters and calls. No product received. Per their website they state that customer satisfaction is their first priority and that they always strive to offer the best customer experience. Since trying to become a customer I have only received the opposite. I am now receiving collection calls and collection letters with ludicrous amounts for product that I never received. I canceled the transactions per their employee's instructions and then told to again try to process the transactions. I never cancelled because I did not have the money to pay or because it was my idea to cancel, I was only following their instructions. Now I have a collection charge of $6,272.13 and another of $3,754.02. Again, for product that I never received or cancelled on my own accord. They have done nothing to try to keep my business. They always sound frustrated, argumentative, angry and absolutely rude. They called me a difficult person, even though I have never been so. I asked for them to provide me with the recorded conversations that proof that I was being difficult or where I asked that my orders be cancelled. They have not. I simply wanted to be a customer and purchase actual product. They are claiming that they can charge these fees because of a restocking fee. They state that they are not regulated by any other agency. I have called and asked to speak to the supervisor the person that I have been transferred to is ***. I have called the Federal Trade Commission regarding this manner they suggested that I do not give them the collection money. They also said it is suspicious that they do not accept ACH. They gave me a few more resources and government websites to report this to. I wanted to leave a Complaintsboard.com review since that is one of the steps that the FTC suggested.

I would like to formally file a complaint against SD Bullion regarding the below issue
I would like to formally file a complaint against SD Bullion regarding the below issue. I ordered two 1-kilogram generic gold bars. This was a fairly expensive purchase at $126,743.44 The bars I received were in really bad condition (lots of dings, bends, and it looked like the bars had been shaved down in certain places. Although the bars were supposed to be Generic, the condition they were in was unacceptable and not what you want to see after after spending that kind of money. Also there was no warning on the page (that I saw) were the customer is warned about the degraded condition of the product. After speaking with Customer Service and asking several times if they would be able to exchange the bars for ones that were in good condition, I was told that it depended on inventory. I proceeded to return the two bars at my expense ($380 to properly insured the shipment back) and was made to wait weeks for an exchange. At one point during a call to check up on things, I was convinced by an agent to pay an extra $321.50 for the assurance of brand new CRM branded Bars (read non Generic ones). The agent assured me I would get brand new CRM branded bars and avoid dealing with generic/old bars. After almost 2 more weeks of waiting, I received the exchange and to my dismay, the bars looked to be in the same/worst condition (Deep scratches/dings/Shaved down areas, etc.) I proceeded to email Customer Service to let them know how extremely frustrated/unhappy I was and that I would either like my money back or give them the opportunity to keep my business by exchanging the bars for totally different 10oz/5oz brand new bars that come boxed/bran new to being with. I received a reply saying I was out of luck, not returns/exchanges allowed. Mind you, this is after spending over $850,000 worth of precious metals over the last 2 and half years. I unequivocally believe I deserve the right to an exchange or my money back, given the circumstances/amount of business involved.

Issue with SD BULLION Order Delivery and Signature Discrepancy
On March 19, I ordered 1 1oz Canadian maple leaf gold coin and 10 1oz Canadian silver maple leaf coins from SD BULLION. Payment was made via a certified cashier check. I was notified via email around March 31, that shipment was expected to arrive at my address on April 6. Due to the pandemic, on April 2, I lost all means of awareness and communication. Around April 27, my representative contacted SD BULLION about the order and was told it had been delivered and signed for by me on April 6, which was impossible. My representative then spoke with the Rincon, GA postal service. The supervisor there promised to inquire with the carrier, who later claimed to remember the house and, hearing noise inside, signed for the package and left it on the porch, assuming someone would collect it. Neither I nor my representative saw any package. SD BULLION's shipping terms state that all orders are shipped fully insured via USPS, UPS, or FEDEX, and a signature is required upon receipt unless waived by the consumer. If a package is lost or damaged, SD BULLION is responsible for filing a claim. Despite full payment, I never received the products I paid for.

I purchased a 5oz. Silver bar from SD bullion on Sept. 12, 2022. The payment was immediately charged and reported as received. I paid for expedited 2-day shipping but after 2 or 3 days, I still had not received an email with the tracking information as I did with the first purchase I made from them, so I emailed to inquire about the status. The customer service representative came off as rather dismissive, informing me that it would ship once the payment was cleared. After another day without any updates, I emailed again and was told it should ship out that day. However, something felt off, and upon conducting a more thorough investigation of the company, I was shocked by the number of complaints. This research revealed a pattern of deceptive business practices and a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. Another day passed, and I was once again told it would ship out that day. I felt deceived about the order's status, and they seemed indifferent to my concerns. They impose a hefty cancellation fee, which I suspect is designed to discourage customers from canceling their orders or seeking refunds. It is troubling that they maintain such a high rating despite these issues.
Order #*** 8/29/22 $224.11. I was promised a free 1/10oz silver coin with my order. Current market value on that is less than $2.00. This has nothing to do with money, I have since spent over $1000 with the company. They say they did an investigation and it was sent, however I did not receive the coin. They have offered me a five dollar coupon, again not about the money. I am sick of poor customer service and I really just want what what promised to me. I have the original packing label with the free coin listed, but I did not receive it.
I placed two purchases on line one day apart for gold coins. I mailed checks to reduce the credit card fees that they ordinarily charge on-line. The first order they did actually send. It took nearly 3 weeks to arrive. The second order never came. A month after I placed the order they sent me a demand for just over $500 because they claimed they never received the second check. The $500 was service charge - their fee for loss of a sale. After contacting them when I received the demand notice by email, they alleged having attempted to call me to advise they hadn't received payment. I have never spoken with the company by phone on this matter or ever remember receiving any phone calls. The company has fully automated systems. They could easily send out an email after 5 days saying they had not received the check and give the opportunity to pay by credit card over the internet to avoid the service charge. I don't know if the check was lost in the mail, lost in their building or placed in a drawer because they didn't have the product to ship at the time and just cancelled my order. (I've purchased 3 or 4 other times from them in the past - the order is usually sent in 5 to 10 business days so the nearly 3 weeks for the first order above was unusual). It's a very questionable and conflicted policy to charge customers for a product you didn't sell to them when you made insufficient attempt to contact them if payment wasn't received. I'd be happy to pay them the current spot price as of today which is very nearly what it was when I placed the order last month to have this issue closed. But I am not interested in paying a fee when they could easily have avoided this by sending a text or an email. Especially in today's information age.
This is regarding order number *** i placed with sd bullion. I’m upset that i received a scratched coin (a 2022 half ounce gold reverse proof libertad) that i expected to be free of any scratches/damages since i paid extra to get a slabbed coin graded 70, i expected graded 70 coins to be perfect and free of any scratches since its the highest grade. I’m also upset that i have to pay to get my purchase exchanged, they expect me to pay postage to return my coin and possibly any restocking fees and/or market loss per their email and in that case i didn’t want to bother returning it if i had to pay out of pocket. what i want is SD bullion to “exchange” my coin for an undamaged one without me having to pay anything out of my own pocket to get it exchanged.
SD Bullion is practicing unfair billing practices and manipulating customers through its policies, reputation and criminal acts
SD Bullion is practicing unfair billing practices and manipulating customers through its policies, reputation and criminal acts. On 3/12 I placed an order, for two Monster Boxes of silver coins, with SD Bullion via their website. The order was paid by bank wire through my checking account with my banking institution, J ***. The next day I was contacted by *** Bank regarding the transfer and SD Bullion. They told me that SD Bullion had a terrible business reputation and *** Bank refused to engage in any form of fund wiring with this company. *** also advised me not to do business with SD Bullion based on their reputation. *** Bank, without my consent or knowledge, cancelled the wire request that I'd made the day before, for payment of my order, based on the reputation of SD Bullion thus cancelling the order. Today, 4/22, I received a letter in the mail from SD Bullion stating I owe them $4925.42 for Cancellation Fees and Collection Totals. I contacted the company and told them this had to be some sort of mistake and I was told that this had happen before with other customers and other banks, I was also told it was nothing they would do about the situation and I had to pay even though I received no coins or services and it was their own fault and reputation that made *** bank cancel the order, refuse to do a bank wire with them and advice me against doing business with this company at all. At the time I was confused as to why my bank would stop a business transaction between myself and a company, because this has never happen to me before, but now I understand why. The demands made by SD Bullion are unethical at best an criminal at its core. To demand payment for services you never rendered or products you never sold is comparable to Strong Arming, Racketeering, or plain ole Theft. How many other citizens have been prayed on by these predators through similar circumstances? SD Bullions practices, policies and action are unacceptable! I'm requesting that there be a full investigation into the business practices and policies of SD Bullion. I'm also requesting the Complaintsboard.com contact SD Bullion and have them correct their billing errors in my case and in others before their actions effect my and others, credit ratings, finances, and lives in an extremely negative way. In my opinion it is totally despicable for the strong to take advantage of the weak, for companies to take advantage of customers, but for the strong or companies to take advantage of the weak or customer during the most trying time this country and the world has ever seen, is proof of the demonic nature of the companies and the total disregard for the people and community..
