I just completed my second transaction with Secure One Capital earlier today, February 2
I just completed my second transaction with Secure One Capital earlier today, February 2. Al Bennett was the supremely qualified and knowledgeable loan officer who handled my dossier most of the time, and made my refinancing a breeze. Secure One had kept my records from the previous time, so I had comparably a minimum of updating to provide. The closing happened exactly on time, for which I was transferred into the capable hands of Kacey P, who answered every one of my questions with great accuracy, and sent the most courteous, and efficient notary to my home, across the country from her office(!), which kept me safe and comfortable during these challenging times. In addition to my own residence, I own rental property, and finance/refinance mortgages rather frequently. I will continue using the services of Secure One Capital for this purpose, and highly recommend them for anyone who needs financing for their property. Dr. ***. Hallandale Beach, FL

Secure One Capital lives up to its name: Secure From our first interaction with Gilberto O of Secure One Capital it was clear that he had our best interests at heart, and would be there for us through the entire refinancing process. We were sold on him from the moment he offered a cell phone number to reach him, and he was always willing to answer that phone when we had questions. His professionalism, honesty, and spirit made the entire process simple and stress-free, which made this a very pleasant experience for us. The virtual process that Secure One Capital has established gave us confidence that our personal information would remain secure, and made the application and document upload processes easy. They arranged for a notary to come to us for closing, respecting our requests for social distancing without question. We highly recommend Secure One Capital, especially Gilberto O, as you can trust them to make your refinancing experience painless and secure.
Secure One Capital is very fortunate to have Gilbert O as a loan officer dealing with people like me in Refinancing my Mortgage. Gilbert was very knowledgeable, kind, and considerate at all times during the several weeks he worked tirelessly with me and helped me greatly in getting all the necessary needed paperwork to Secure One Capital. He was on the phone daily walking me through the steps I needed to take in order to complete all the needed information to complete my loan application. I'm 84 years old and sometimes ask "stupid questions" - but - Gilbert always remained kind, helpful, and considerate during my application to refinance my mortgage. Gilbert is a "GEM" and Secure One Capital is fortunate in having him on their team.
Even though a long and thorough process, Ian was very professional and handled II with no rush and pressures expected with these kind of transactions. At no time I felt intimidated by this transaction. My congrats to the personnel especially to Ian. Would I recommend it? A definite YES!
Working with the team was simple and easy. It's a refi so nothing super exciting but the lack of issues and streamlined process certainly is notable since a refi and/or the staff could be very difficult but that wasn't the case at all. So no complaints and thank you! :)
Highly recommend Secure One Capital for refinancing. *** is extremely knowledgeable and organized. He stayed on top of my loan and communicated with me once a week at a minimum. He definitely reduced my stress in this process.
False Advertisement
False Advertisement. I received a VA Interest Rate Reduction Notice for a 2.5% VA Fixed Rate. Everyone is offering a 2.75% at this time. Secure One Capital is the only one offering the 2.5% so I called. Moe S from Secure One Capital told me they couldn't do that before gathering my information but we can offer a 2.75% interest rate. We agreed because I knew that was the going rate. When Nicole H (Secure One Capital) sent the disclosures through email, the interest rate was 2.875. I questioned it. days went by. No response. I did not sign. Moe called me later in the week and went on and on and told me that the rates went up this morning and just sign the disclosures and we'll drop your rates when they drop back down. I shared my concerns with Moe, he responded back by telling me that "they" the competition is a fraud and can't do what they promise. My response to that was, you (Secure One Capital) are the only ones offering a 2.5% VA Fixed Rate. You are they, while telling me what they do. Be aware Veterans.

Decided to use Secure One to refinance my current mortgage ... and boy I'm sure glad I did! Advisor, Austin B and his assistant, Hector C, were outstanding! The process was easy and the communication was on the spot. I would recommend Secure One, Austin and his team to anyone. Thanks again!
Secure One Capitol is the best! They led me through the entire process of refinancing my home. From the 1st day, they told me what to expect, & when to expect it. I was always kept updated during the process. Secure One Capital knows the regulations & law of a refinance. They were always enthusiastic & helpful with my many concerns. I highly recommend Secure One because of the way i was treated! Excellent customer service!
The experience with Secure One Capital, in dealing with our two loan officers; was A +. After Covid hit, it made things not so lenient; as before...Or fast paced. At first, we were working with another company; who dropped us, after six months of waiting and telling us we were conditionally approved. I thought there was no hope for a while and it was very frustrating. But as things began to settle down, we received a notice in the mail...I called ASAP and it was swift; from there. All was moving along as it should, with prompt response; from both agents. We were very lucky to have dealt with this service and receive full approval, in tough times. I highly recommend them!
It's been a roller coaster of disappointment trying to work with Secure One Capital
It's been a roller coaster of disappointment trying to work with Secure One Capital. They rope you in with low rates, then take their sweet time getting the loan together. Everything was going fine with my refi, I was told, it was just taking longer than usual. As per instruction, I took out a new insurance policy on my home and paid for an appraisal, which were supposed to be reimbursed out of my old escrow package when the new loan went through. Then 2 more months went by with no developments. over 120 days after I started the loan application with Secure One Capital, they denied my loan, and needlessly caused me over a thousand dollars in new expenses that won't benefit me. I'm overdue on my new insurance because Secure One failed to make the payment or tell me that this was my responsibility now, and I'm stuck with the cost of an appraisal that's only relevant for another week or two, after interest rates have almost doubled from where they were when I started the loan. My experience echoes pretty much every unsatisfied review of this company on ComplaintsBoard.com. Work with them at your own risk.
I highly recommend Mr. Austin B with ***. He is an excellent agent. Thanks to his professionalism and knowledge we were able to refinance our property at the lowest possible interest rate.
When I contacted Secure One for a home refinance, Austin was my contact person. In conversing with Austin, he pulled no punches or created any false hopes with my situation, as it was a very difficult one involving many obstacles. Austin laid out a plan, assured what my goals were and we wasted no time getting to work on them. If I hit a snag, Austin always was there to help, even jumping in and handling things himself. This man is motivated, intelligent, and above everything else absolutely honest. I would like to say that he the foundation for this company. Thanks Austin!
They were great to work with throughout the entire process. Great communication
I tried to refinance twice with Secure One. For the first time in 2020, we ran into some problems related to eligible income that really ought to have been noticed and address much earlier which frustratingly wasted a bunch of my time. I was leery when contacted again about a year later, but the numbers had improved significantly so I decided to give it a second try. I'm glad I did. On the second go around, Austin B and Megan were very efficient and professional. Processed my entire refinance in about 30 days at a much better rate than had I managed to refinance in 2020. Things moved very quickly, numbers were as we initially agreed without any bait and switch.
Beware beware beware!
Beware beware beware! Worst experience I have ever had. 3 and 1/2 months of my time wasted. I actually have emails from them saying Loan approved going into closing and than didn't hear from them or even get them to respond to my emails for days. Just to be told there was something else. This was a VA cash out refi on a home that has over 180k in equity. I made the mistake of responding to a letter that was disguised as a letter from my previous mortgage company. I should of stopped dealing with them when I realized they had nothing to do with my previous mortgage company but did not follow my instincts. You will find several other reviews with that same complaint. I really hope you read this and run from this comp. CEO read this review and contacted me. He stated he would do everything he could to make it right and than I never heard from him or this company again. Why did he even contact me? Makes no sense. Just discovered 6 hard checks on my credit report all from secure one. Two of the checks were back to back one day after the other. Had to contact credco and start the process of removing them since they did not get my permission to do more than the first one. Every attempt to contact secure one gets no response. This is a terrible company
We had the pleasure of working with Fadi M*** during our refi
We had the pleasure of working with Fadi M during our refi. He made the process smooth and easy by being very transparent, honest and extremely responsive. At first, I was a little skeptical working with him but over time, he proved that he was there to help and his full intention was to place our financial situation in a better position than what we were in currently. For this, I am eternally grateful that he was able to assist us and better a financial needs. I would recommend Fadi to anyone that is looking for a rep that is pleasant, honest and easy to work with. One con - this would be the process towards the end of our refi. Having to work with the Title company was a bit of a nightmare! *** was terrible from signing docs all the way to issuing checks/payments. Our Escrow Manager was Deanna B and she never once responded my phone calls regardless how urgent it was. She only responds to emails and even with that, her response was not satisfactory. Her customer service lacked personability, accommodations and understanding. She was far from being flexible or wanting to extend help. As I right this, we still have some unresolved situations that requires her attention! I give Fadi M at Secure One Capital a 5 star however, due to the unpleasant experience with the Title Company, I can only give a 4 star.
I'm surprised to see such a good rating for this company
I'm surprised to see such a good rating for this company. We were promised a 30-day close once we submitted our loan application on 9/14, were notified of approval shortly thereafter, and that loan was sent to processor. After more than a month goes by without hearing back, we had to contact Secure One to ask for an update. Long story short, it's been 57 days, we still haven't closed. We are cancelling the process with Secure One and will use another lender. Along the way, they confused us with another client and sent us their loan numbers and closing date, have had extremely poor response to our phone calls and emails, pointed the finger at other departments within the company (not being accountable), poor follow-up (not calling back when they said they would, including a customer service manager who never did follow-up when he committed to doing so within the hour), changed our total loan amount 3 times (an increase of >$8K), wrongly blamed the current lender for the delay, changed closing date/time 3 times, notary finally comes for closing and the numbers on the documents are wrong. My blood pressure can't take dealing with these incompetent people. Oh, I forgot to mention they made us get an appraisal ($500) which turns out is not even necessary in the state of Texas. I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND Secure One Capital for home loans or refinancing especially if you are in Texas. There are plenty of other companies out there happy to take your money but will do a satisfactory job. Get recommendations from your friends, not from the internet.

I was trying to Refinance my home since October 19, being senior and no direct Income, and with high Debt to Income ratio, all the Big banks,
I was trying to Refinance my home since October 19, being senior and no direct Income, and with high Debt to Income ratio, all the Big banks, Credit union etc. in Florida and upstate north up to NJ, and few of the Online Lenders flatly refused that we can't help you out in any way, even with credit score of me and my wife in the range of 720 - 740, as I have never defaulted on any payments, I was pleading that moment my Debt gets taken care by refinance, I will be again financially strong, but it was all falling on deaf ears. Than I got a letter from Secure capital on around first week of Feb , with no hope I talked with Ian O'*** , and he asked me to forward all the required papers, he too had been of the same opinion that you don't meet Fed guide lines, but promised to talk with others in the group, like Ren J and underwriter Noel E, and gave me a great suggestion, based on their real business experience of how to go forward to get approved, ( it was like getting a real smart attorney for a lost case). and than from there it was a very professional treatment they gave me, against all the odds in my case, Ian had been very courteous in talk, email etc, and same for Ren and Nolan in few correspondence, finally in these difficult days of Corona virus, they gave me a real attractive rate, and even though I was getting hardly qualify for a low 200's loan, they got me what I wanted in upper 200's, I don't have enough words to appreciate and thank them, I will recommend to all and will come again in future to them... Best of luck

a minute ago Total sham of a company
a minute ago Total sham of a company. I started the refinance process with them the end of February from a mailer I was sent. I was told by them after getting all the information they requested we were going to close at the end of March and they told me not to make my next mortgage payment. At the beginning of the process they were very responsive and were responding to my questions in less than 24 hours. Starting in April I stopped hearing from them regularly and the response times to my inquires were now taking 5 to 7 days. They kept promising me that we were close to closing and reminded me not to make any more mortgage payments because they said that would keep changing the payoff amount and would delay the acceptance and closing date. Fast forward to the beginning of June and I was finally given a closing date and they promised to send me the final documents for approval the next day, and if I was happy then we would close 5 days later. They never sent the documents and it took 7 days, 5 emails and I lost count of the phone calls before I finally received a response back from them. They said there was a problem getting my loan approved. This coming after they told me we were approved and ready to close 2 weeks before. They told me they lost some of my paperwork and need me to resend it and reminded me again not to make my mortgage payment. Then on June 16 I finally was able to receive a responses from them after I threatened to go to the ComplaintsBoard.com. They gave me a bunch of excuses as to why we couldn't close and blamed me for the problems. This company is a sham and the people I dealt with are flat out liars. So scam and liar alert from Secure One Capital and employees: Ren J (Closing Agent NMLS# ***) Ian O'*** (Mortgage Banker NMLS# ***), and Elizabeth G (Senior Processor NMLS#***).
It started with a letter; we thought it was from our current lender offering a better rate
It started with a letter; we thought it was from our current lender offering a better rate. [Sometimes I don't read as thoroughly as I should!] We made an initial contact Lauren M called the next day. She was able to gather information that was not too private very quickly. If it had gotten too private, it would have ended quickly. Lauren explained the process. Then Rick A communicated with us. He did more in depth explanation and still kept a distance on stuff that was too personal. I had already checked ComplaintsBoard.com and found an A+. Our financial advisor didn't know about the company and cautioned us about refi scams happening. I presented our concern to Rick. He provided us with ways to verify the legitimacy of SO. Of course, I used my own ways to locate the links he sent. Everything about him and the company checked out fine. I even called our state Consumer Protection agency; the woman there verified that the commonwealth had no actions against the company. So we moved forward. Unlike another company with whom I accidentally engaged in some conversations, I felt no pressure from Rick. SO has a great team who all know their jobs and are clear about what they can answer and what needs to be directed somewhere else. They even know to whom we should be talking. Once we got the paperwork started, Lauren seemed to be more involved that Rick. Rick was still our 'go to' when a question seemed awkward or information wasn't clear. One of the challenges for us was the Ellie Mae experience. The forms keep asking for things we already sent under separate cover. Rick probably began thinking "Why did I get stuck with this guy!?!" We exchanged email constantly while we were completing the DocuSign process. I don't know if SO has any clout with Ellie M; if so, they should try to get the DocuSign process smoother. SO sent a person from Coast to Coast [notary] to our house for signing the documents. This was probably the least comfortable of our experiences with SO. The agent was cordial which is different than welcoming. When I would ask a question, the agent always had the same response; I understand. My clarification questions were not about the agent providing the clarification. I believe the agent became annoyed that I wanted to read most of what I was signing. At one point, I called SO to get a clarification of about a check box that seemed to be inaccurate. I did what the SO rep told me. The C2C agent huffed several times. If this agent had been one of our first contacts in the process, we would have discontinued the refi process. The mark of satisfaction is word-of-mouth. As the dominos for paying off one mortgage and getting the other in place began their pattern, we talked with one of our children who asked us to make a referral. I copied my child on the message I sent to Lauren. When she replied to my child, she included me. At this point, my child took me out of the picture. Rick and Lauren were the primary players in this adventure. I don't want to forget Kacey and Deanna [?]. We had a great team helping us the entire way.

Secure One Capital is a bad company
Secure One Capital is a bad company. They sent me a letter even though I told them not to. They didn't even check if they were allowed to send me mail. Don't trust them.
I wanted to refinance my home and was told it would be done by January
I wanted to refinance my home and was told it would be done by January. But now it's February 28th and I still haven't heard anything from the company. They sent an appraiser, which I had to pay $650 out of pocket. It seems like a scam to me. I've tried to contact them multiple times, but have failed.
I used Secure One Capital in 2019 to refinance my home loan, which I sold later
I used Secure One Capital in 2019 to refinance my home loan, which I sold later. But, they keep calling me for the last 6-12 months, like 15 times, and I keep telling them to stop calling me and remove me from their list. Today, I got another call, and I asked them again to stop, but I don't think they will. It's getting annoying and feels like harassment. I bet they do this to other people too.

I got charged $50 in fees that they didn't tell me about
I got charged $50 in fees that they didn't tell me about. When I asked Secure One Capital about it, they said they'd give me my money back. It took me 4 weeks of fighting to finally get it. They sent me an email saying my loan would be canceled on July 28th, but then they charged me $25 on August 2nd. I want my $25 back and I don't want them to use my social security number to charge me more fees. I've already lost almost $100 and I'm scared they'll keep doing it until I get a lawyer or call the cops.
SecureOne Capital messed up our refinancing and made us do the whole thing twice, which caused us a lot of money problems
SecureOne Capital messed up our refinancing and made us do the whole thing twice, which caused us a lot of money problems. We had to pay late fees and mortgage payments. They said they would give us a thousand dollars for their mistakes, but we haven't gotten it yet. I called the HR person, and they said they would check, but nothing happened. They're ripping off customers, and it's not cool. They say they care about customers, but they don't. They need to be investigated because this isn't the first time it's happened. Thanks for reading.
Mortgage company didn't pay home insurance policy and didn't tell new mortgage company (when homeowner refinanced) that the policy wasn't paid
Mortgage company didn't pay home insurance policy and didn't tell new mortgage company (when homeowner refinanced) that the policy wasn't paid. This made the policy cancel without homeowners' or new mortgage company's knowledge for a year. Then, new mortgage company (***) charged homeowners a lender-placed carrier fee of $3,720.00. Homeowners say Secure One Capital should pay this fee for missing payment for insurance coverage to ***. Secure One didn't respond to multiple notices that the insurance policy wasn't paid. Secure One didn't tell *** (after refi) that policy wasn't paid. Secure One didn't pay the policy, so homeowners now face a fee to maintain policy.
I been workin' with Secureone since July
I been workin' with Secureone since July. They preapproved me for a 30year VA loan on a home I already got a mortgage on. They scheduled a home appraiser that cost me $700. On September 30th Nolan E told me to stop my automatic payments to my bank 'cause Secureone would be takin' over payments in October. A month goes by, no contact from Nolan and now I'm past due, no return emails or texts. Two months go by without a single phone call or email. Mid November I get a phone call, Nolan ain't started on my paperwork and his numbers for the loan are way off from the original quote that I agreed to. I tried to call and contact anyone who would help, but I can't get a return call or an email. I got text messages and email to provide if needed. In September I got a raise and emailed my new payrate and pay stubs to show the increase in income.
I worked with Secure One Capital 2 months ago to refinance my mortgage
I worked with Secure One Capital 2 months ago to refinance my mortgage. I asked if there were any charges for the process and was told no, it's all free. But the next week, I saw a $25 fee on my current mortgage loan. I called the company and they said it's for requesting a payoff quote. I talked to my contact person, but he said not to worry, he would cover it. However, 3 weeks later, I was charged another $25 because his processing window ran out, and I didn't know about it. I contacted him again, and he said it would come out of his company's pocket.
Two weeks ago, they scheduled the final signing with me, but on the day of, no one followed up. I've been trying to contact the company relentlessly, but it's been difficult. Eventually, I found out that my contact person is no longer working there, and they aren't honoring his statements. But I have messages from him saying it was a mistake and I'm entitled to it. Now, my current company won't let me make payments until the fee is paid. It's a nightmare.
We started a refi with Secure One Capital on 8/10 and sent all the paperwork
We started a refi with Secure One Capital on 8/10 and sent all the paperwork. On 11/03, we got an email that our loan was approved. On 12/02, the underwriter asked for more items, and on 12/17, we were told that our loan would fund in two days. However, on 12/21, my husband called and was told that our process server's last day was 12/17 and that they were no longer with the company. We were informed that our loan would not fund before 12/25, which means we need a new appraisal. We paid $650 for the appraisal and $30 for the final payoff of our mortgage. A new person got involved higher up, and my husband was told she was going to call the following day after reviewing the file. However, we did not receive a call. On 12/23, my husband called to be told that she's out till the first of the year! I cried in frustration at the nightmare we are dealing with! Our credit is not perfect, but it has suffered with the company pulling hard copies of our credit. I don't want any other consumer to have this happen. I will be filing complaints with any website I can find! On 12/26, we are looking for a new leader.
We started cash out refinance with Secure One in January
We started cash out refinance with Secure One in January. It took them 4 months to get anywhere with it. We had several different people contacting us for information we had already sent over. *** wouldn't call us, only text, and then he only sent text to the person not on the loan. They pulled our credit four times when we only authorized it once. Then even pulled it after we already told them we were not doing business with them. When we called to have the matter taken care of, the lady informed us that we were not doing a cash out refinance. We were doing something that included paying off our debt. I can't remember what exactly they called it, but that is not what we asked to be done, nor did they bother speaking with us about it before they decided to do it. I have tried calling to get the credit report issues solved because they have caused our score to drop badly. They will not return my call. I have asked to speak to someone higher up, and they never bothered calling me but expected us to go ahead and continue doing business with them. They are unprofessional and rude.

I've refinanced two mortgages with Secure One. Their rates are great and we closed very quickly. I highly recommend them.
Prior to receiving a mailer from Secure One Capital, I had shopped around vigorously for the best refinance option for our mortgage and had a 3.1% interest rate. Our mortgage specialist was fantastic. We ended up pulling back on the appraisal we had already scheduled and paid for. He got us the best rate, which saved us an additional $45 a month from what our other best offer had been able to save for us. This brought us to almost a $300 a month savings on our mortgage payments!
Our specialist is a good guy who will take all the time in the world to explain every last detail if you ask, every step of the way. He made sure to account for all costs so there were no surprise costs at the end of the process. We couldn't have gotten any luckier receiving the mailer and being lined up with him to help us. He really is the best! Much thanks! Best of luck moving forward.
My refi was fast and all done within 2 weeks. Everyone I worked with was professional and on top of it.
I would highly recommend Secure One Capital if you are in need of a refinance to lower your interest rates. Their team is highly professional and keeps you well informed at every stage. Our contact person was outstanding. He was not only professional, but very patient with us and we couldn't have gotten through it without him. If we ever need to refinance again, we would definitely go with this company again, and request the same individual.
