Well polished scam!
My experience with Seek Business Capital was nothing short of a nightmare, and I urge anyone considering their services to proceed with extreme caution. From the outset, the company engaged in deceitful practices, employing bait-and-switch tactics that left me feeling cheated and financially burdened.
Like many others, I initially believed Seek Business Capital to be a reputable option for securing business financing. However, my hopes were quickly dashed as I discovered the true nature of their operations. Despite assurances of a straightforward process, I soon found myself entangled in a web unexpected charges.
What's worse is the utter lack of transparency and accountability displayed by Seek Business Capital. Instead of providing genuine assistance, their customer service team simply pushes customers to handle creditor interactions themselves, all while listening in and offering scripted guidance via text messages. This invasive and unprofessional behavior only adds insult to injury.
In my case, seeking a loan of $20,000 to $25,000 to address urgent business needs resulted in unnecessary credit card acquisitions and a staggering $6,500 bill from Seek Business Capital. I was only trying to alleviate $3500 in interest for the year. This outcome is not only unacceptable but also indicative of a company that preys on unsuspecting individuals seeking financial assistance.
If I could turn back time, I would have heeded the warnings of others who have fallen victim to Seek Business Capital's deceptive practices. Instead, I find myself grappling with the consequences of their actions, facing a mountain of debt and regret. Save yourself the trouble and avoid Seek Business Capital at all costs. Your financial wellbeing depends on it.
Recommendation: Run
Never agreed on any terms or recieved funding just gave them authority to pull my credit report I later informed them I got my funding somewhere
Never agreed on any terms or recieved funding just gave them authority to pull my credit report I later informed them I got my funding somewhere else and soon after then they began emailing me a invoice for $495 cancelation fee when all I ever did is give them authorization to pull my credit after they pulled my credit they said if I paid my credit card down to 30% I would be able to recieve funding I said let me see what I can do.. I wasnt ever able to pay it down and never contacted seek again yet I have a invoice for $495 when I never signed docs nor recieved funding simply just allowing them to pull my credit smh stay far far away from this business group all money and services isnt good money or good for business ..I've emailed and called and left voice mails about the issues and none has gotten back to me but they keep sending invoices
Seek has taken advantage of me. The guy I was working with filled in false information on an application to make me look more appealing to companies and when I told him I didn't want to continue because of how shady that felt I'm now being charged almost $1000 for canceling the service. He called me later to tell me nobody else will ever help me and I won't be successful doing this on my own. I also have proof that the DocuSign was canceled but mysteriously it was signed with my information. I'm disgusted with Seek.
They "promised" to help me find funding for my business and establish a business line of credit. They failed to do so, so instead wanted me to open upwards of six personal credit cards, not helpful. They got my address incorrect so I never received the meet two credit cards they said I qualified for, putting my identity and credit at great risk. And still billed me for services not rendered, plus a late fee. It was impossible to get ahold of them for over a month to speak with a supervisor, but they had no problem leaving me messages without a call and removing the employee name from all contact so that I couldn't track down whom I had spoken with. This business has no right to be Complaintsboard.com accredited. It is a scam that preys on small businesses.
I am more than upset
I am more than upset. I want to cancel immediately with no fees or charges. This company will not answer the phone and will charge you regardless of you saying you don't want the cards or the service. I want to speak with someone about canceling all services and not be charged. I don't appreciate all the inquiries on my credit report. I called repeatedly to speak with Kelly just minutes after our last call to let her know I was uninterested. Of course, she didn't answer and want to continue to say I will be invoiced regardless. I have the right to change my mind after the truth was unveiled which resulted in me finding out via emails that my credit report had been viewed multiple times. This company is not lender and does not provide business funding at all which is what I was under the impression to believe. I want to speak with someone immediately.

Their cancelation email does not work, AND ITS ON THEIR DOCUMENTS TO SIGN! They do this so you can waste time as it is expiring so they can charge you fees. The initial person you speak with says glorified language of enticement, only to be negated by his accounting team, which he later says they aren't privy to the information being continuously updated. He would waive the fee of 795.00 and you would be allowed to finance the payments for what work they do on your file. He said funding would take 16 weeks for ERC! Again, misleading! His team has no clue... and mind you this is not on the document you signed: the 16 weeks. The email is non functioning, You really cant finance the payments as he suggests. SO how doe they expect me to cancel when, again, their email doesnt email them! Please someone put a stop to this!
The management relationship sucks and they don't have work ethics!
FRAUD. This company is a fraud. Ronnie ronnie.galapinATseekcapital.com is a fraud. The employees are collecting your data to do data theft to sell to other people who want to steal data.
If I could give less than 1 star I would!
If I could give less than 1 star I would! I went on Lendingtree website to inquire about small business funding. After I answered a few short questions, I was matched up with Seek Capital. A rep for Seek Capital called me literally 2 mins after submitting my information so I was a little taken aback, in fact I was finishing up my work day when he called. The rep was incredibly rude and hurried-at one point even talking over me with his rapid style line of questioning. I advised him to hold on as he caught me off guard and then he abruptly hung up. I'm a Senior Director of Customer Support and if this was one of my agents he would be terminated on the spot for such rude behavior. If this is tolerated by Seek Capital, then I'd strongly advise to NOT do business with this organization. If I experienced this, I'm 100% sure this a happens countless times. Stay away from this "company"!

Seek Capital, LLC is a total ripoff! When I first started my business in June I reached out to Seek Capital to help with financing. I had an 815 credit score that I made them aware of in hopes that this would be a smooth process, NOT! I allowed them to pull my credit report, come to find out, Seek Capital made 6 soft pulls and 12 hard pulls for different credit card companies. My target asking price for funding was 130K, however, I only received 48k! How could that even be possible? I have received three different invoices, with three different prices? The 1st invoice on 05/25 but the invoice was dated 05/24 with a past due amount of 5k. The invoice had misspelled words, not to mention I was past due before I even received the bill! I have been fighting with them ever since.
I think the type of lending that Seek Business capital performs should be illegal. Basically, they sign you up for a bunch of credit cards (XX-XX), give you the capital, and then you're in debt for life. I luckily didn't sign up because their pitch was so awful I thought I was hearing them incorrectly but it was actual.
This type of lending should be illegal.
My reason for this raiting, How could you say to a Client you can guarantee a certain amount of money. and when its time for the results it is NO WHERE NEAR the amount that was GUARANTEED. so how is that a guarantee? The word guarantee is a promise. Everything that was done here, I could have basically did myself. Meaning applying for a million different credit cards and oh not to mention ALL of the credit inquirys that is on your report when they are finished. This is all a game and a waste of money. The time that they give you to call you back WITH THE NO WHERE NEAR AMOUNT is enough time for them to make a profit off of the client...THIS SHOULD BE ILLEGAL...
Horrible horrible company. They prey on new business owners. All this company does is use your SSN to apply to bank credit cards. Nothing more nothing less. It has ruined my credit tremendously. I still have a high credit score, HOWEVER, due to the excessive amounts of inquiries I still won't be able to obtain a loan, no matter how good my score is. They really need to disclose and explain to "clients" this is what will happen. Inquires take 24 months to come off your credit report. So I'm pretty much screwed for the next 2 years.
Probably the sketchiest call I've ever had
Probably the sketchiest call I've ever had. The guy, Rogie Sumatra, that called me could barely speak English and asked very specific questions that I had not been asked my other lending companies. The first thing he told me was this was a recorded line. The he proceeded to ask me questions for a half hour. Asking me my name and address and even the highest line of credit I have on my credit cards. He asked me how much I have in my personal bank account, of which I refused to provide, because that is not relevant to my business. Then he said he would do a soft credit pull to see if I qualify for a line of credit or credit card from several different banking institutions. He asked me for my social security number, likely expecting me to forget that a half an hour ago he told me I was on a recorded line. I refused and argued with him about it for several minutes. He refused to stop the recording so I refused to move forward. Then I came here and saw all the terrible reviews, I'm glad I caught the sketchiness early. I hope they get shut down soon.

They made it seem like I needed them to do things I could not do on my own. When in reality all they did was apply me for so many cards in one day that were all declined me due to excessive inquiries. When the reconsiderations expert was supposed to help, they sat on the phone and said nothing to help but listened to each card tell them no way would they reconsider because the amount of applications was way too excessive. Expect you to pay hundred and hundreds of dollars, promise they can get you funding, and ruin your credit. This place is a scam.
This company preys on the new business owner and makes you believe that you will reach the proper funding for your business ventures but it's all a ploy to add on all these expensive fees for things that are free if you do it yourself then they will run your credit more than a local car dealership adding too many inquiries which lead to denials I have a credit score of 752 and they did nothing but make it drop down promises 70k in funding and only received 4000 on one card and 500 on the other then they sent me an invoice for 2400 due in 48hours or it will be a late payment on my credit report
Absolute SCAM! they make it seem like only they can help you but with a little research online you can do it yourself and not have to pay them thousands of dollars to apply for credit cards!. they also apply for 6 different inquires in 1 day, so this will totally DESTROY your credit score. and they charge huge fees for things you can do yourself. don't do it
Worst business that ever exist
Worst business that ever exist. I wish I would have read reviews before doing any business with them. They advertise to provide startup capital for business. All they do is use your credit score of over 700 to get you approved for credit cards and then charge 10% of total limit approved. Ran my credit 12 times and destroyed it. I got approved because of my credit history. Please save yourself the hassle and headache and please apply for the credit cards yourself. Their only trick is to apply multiple cards at the same time. After approval, they will call you multiple times to collect their commission even before the cards arrive in the mail. This guy named Ricahrd kept calling and threatening me. I wish I would see him in person and see how he will threaten me then. Crooks and scam. Avoid this company at all cost. Anyone looking to work with them, contact me please and I will do the same work for free. Also, they send email stating invoice is due 8 days before its past due threatening again to make payment or they will charge last fees and report to credit bureau. I just wish I can meet these people in person and punch them in the face.

My company went with this "Lender or Financial Consultant" company because it seemed highly rated and was Lending Trees Preferred Lenders
My company went with this "Lender or Financial Consultant" company because it seemed highly rated and was Lending Trees Preferred Lenders. We followed their parameters. They FALSELY claimed they have a CONNECTION with these lenders but we did not receive one loan but instead 3 credit cards. They only got us less than 50% on the low side of the QUOTED range with the COMBINED approvals after causing 5 Hard INQUIRIES on my credit. Then, the reason for credit denial was their PRACTICE of filing a large number of applications on the same day in hopes that the lenders won't see the true quantity of active inquiries. All they could do is say SORRY and POLITELY threaten to make a derogatory mark on my credit file if payment for their "SERVICES" was not received. This is a SCAM. Their version of leveraging included reading some script to underwriters with you on the phone and then hoping that maybe if that doesn't work YOU can go BACK to the ones that said yes and ask for a 20-30% increase on the LOC (Line of Credit) aka... credit card. This company is a sham and to hurt small businesses with false hopes, they should have to pay for their deceptive practices.

Seek Capital, llc is not worth talking to about any loans and could abuse private information they demanded. The company representative misrepresented Seek Capital as a lender -- they are not. They are really a company that looks for a lender for you and reviews say they take a commission. She appeared to be going down a prepared list of questions. Asked for income information and cleverly worked around details about their company information. She did send an email with her name and photo -- in retrospect, it could have been an email scam. Instead of the SBA loan I called about and told her I was interested in when she called, she tried redirecting me to credit card offers which I told her I had no interest in applying for. I did a company review while talking to her and saw that there were 52 complaints with Complaintsboard.com. So I asked questions for verification and she called me combative. She refused to answer saying she could not move forward if I would not answer every question. She had already gotten income info and was demanding my identity details. She threatened to hang up if I did not answer every question. I said I would provide those personal details to the loan officer. She disconnected saying someone would call.

The process with Seek was very misleading from the beginning and I should have trusted my gut and stopped the process before having to pay their high fees (11.99% of "funding" for anything under 40K and 9.99% of "funding" for anything above 40K) for securing funding, which is mostly credit cards for new businesses. I was told based on my credit worthiness that they should have no problem securing 40-60K (original ask was 50K), usually they get more than that, estimating 75K even up to 100K for my specific situation. Stating all along that I would be able to make a percentage of this liquid depending on what was secured and only have to pay 1-2% of the balance, which would be interest-free for typically 12 months. After 8 inquires, they were able to secure $17,000 between 2 credit cards, no loans, no other funding options, with their handling fee and 11.99% of the secured credit, amounted to $2,833. I basically paid $2,800 for them to submit 8 credit card applications (which lowered my credit score due to so many inquiries in a short amount of time) and got 2 credit cards for $17,000. When I asked if I could just refuse the credit cards (I had not activated them yet) and just stop the process, that was not an option. Judge for yourself, but I did not get anywhere close to the value that I spent. "Seek" other options if possible.

First phone call I had scheduled with them, I never received a call
First phone call I had scheduled with them, I never received a call. I should have known that was a bad sign. So I reached out to them and the guy who helped me, Erin, was helpful but was clearly eager to get me over to underwriting. Another associate calls me back, Tyler, and provides me plenty of information, especially how their specialty is startup companies, like mine. He's sure to mention that "motivated" clients get funds much quicker than those less diligent in doing things like replying to emails with requested information. I expressed some concerns over their charges ($595 underwriting and 11.9% of amounts less than $40,000) and he was very reassuring that they could be repaid in small amounts. Needless to say I had some doubts, but I ignored them and filled out the documents he sent over and returned to him being the "motivated" person I am. Less than 30 minutes after I sent him the signed forms, I email him to say I was having second thoughts and he eased my mind and said we could talk the next day. Well, talking the next day meant he was sending me over to the "Quality Department" so i could pay $495 for cancelling our agreement within 48 hours (mind you, it was less than 30 minutes actually). So I'm out $495 dollars for dealing with these thieves. Now I know why they like startups: were the easiest to steal from. Don't use this company if you need and want to keep your money.

Got Caught up in this Scam A Year Ago, and now still getting further harassed from them for the scam. Beware, They use your information Illegally and will make up things as they go along to obtain money from you. They took our information, Used Macro systems that spammed several financial institutions, which Caused Frauds calls from these Financial institutions to call in about the information being stolen. This was for them to obtain Credit Cards any way they can. They Abuse the Credit Bureaus to obtain information on the aftermath of said event. They put you through a series dialogue over the phone in hopes that will convince you they are legit business. However They Break all of the ToS with every Financial institution they target. They will also Call them while you are on the line and make sure you do not say certain things ... As they will tell you initially they are business partners with these business's, however when in direct contact with them, they ensure you refer to them as a "Financial Advisor". I was scammed, I paid these people in hopes to be done with the scam, They created a new invoice out of thin air a month afterwards to further harass what they believe is a gullible victim for Money. I asked for documentation and pertinent information in regards to what they are trying to charge on Me, there response has been evasion tactics since they do not have the ability to have such documentation. I also Believe they are still illegally using customers information months to years after people have communicated with them.

have never written a review before but I am writing this to save someone else from the headache I went through with this company
have never written a review before but I am writing this to save someone else from the headache I went through with this company. They told me I was pre approved for 30k. The guy Richard said their underwriters like to underpromise so I should be getting more funds. He said they have a lot of partnering banks they work with to get funding and also they are specialize in start up businesses. To cut the long story short, I got 3k in credit cards after I was promised at least 30k. See all they do is help you apply for credit cards which you can do by yourself and charge you heavily for it. I was charged for DUNS number which I never got. Reconsideration calls stopped abruptly. I had 9 enquires put on my credit. I got 3k and they expect me to pay 2k plus to them. More like they got me the credit card so they could charge me on it. After a long back and forth with them, my invoice was brought down to $900. They charge you $250 per week for late payment. I tried to make so payment to keep my account with them active. I have never seen a company reject payment before. They want their payment in full. They claim it's in the contract you signed which they never give you a chance to go over as everything was done immediately. They don't care that they hurt your credit or that they can't meet the amount you were suppose to get. All they want is your money. Your money! Your money. Honestly this is a legal way to scam people. They keep threatening me with sending my file to collections as if I didn't want to make any payment which they rejected. Don't fall for the high pitch phone calls. Apply for your own credit cards yourself.

We requested a credit line/loan for our business
We requested a credit line/loan for our business. Their responsiveness was good and courteous but the way they structure the calls and advertise their services is very deceptive at best. They are not a true lender. All they do is open a bunch of credit card accounts in your name for whatever they can get and as many as needed to get you the amount of credit you asked for! This means that you are not getting a loan or credit line but depending on your credit worthiness you end up (or at least we did) with 8 different credit cards of varying credit amounts which is ridiculous. They also don't advertise the fact that they not only charge 10% for simply opening credit card accounts for you but also they strive to get you credit cards for at least 20% above the amount you need because based on their agreement they can charge you for up to 20% of overage on approved credit. Once you sign their agreement which they make you approve over the phone you are on the hook for whatever fees they charge. Once I called to complain they disconnected me several times. Here are the tips you need to know when dealing with these guys: 1) Be aware that you will end up with a bunch of varying limit credit cards and not a loan or credit line. 2) Be aware that they will not negotiate on anything once you sign their agreement and you are stuck with whatever you signed up for. 3) Be aware that they will try to push you towards the highest credit request you are willing to make because they get 10% of the amount of credit they secure for you. 4) Be aware that they will ALWAYS go for the extra 20% above what you ask for so they can charge you that additional 20% fee. 5) Read their contract VERY, VERY CAREFULLY before signing because you will be stuck with everything they have NOT TOLD you about. If you want to pay through the nose for simply opening credit card accounts then go with them...Otherwise stay far, far away!

I had originally contacted Seek Capital and talked to a manager there as well as several employees as well.
I agreed to their terms of business and they started the process. As many reviews have stated, much of the funding amounts expected were not achieved.
As disappointing as that was it was outlined in the contract.
I need to say that I record ALL my conversations on my cell phone after my disclosure. That will always benefit me to backup what was said and any notes I take as well!
One issue I had was that one of the cards that was recommended to me that I received could not be used for funding at all. I talked to many representatives at Seek Capital who had told me that they could resolve the problem. They were not able to do that after many attempts. The wrong card was obviously selected!
I had asked for a partial refund because of this. I was promised a sizable refund from the representative I was working with. The next day he called me back and said his 'manager' only approved a much smaller refund amount than I was promised.
I was very disappointed and told him I would accept the smaller refund amount, but only as a first portion of the money I was owed. I made it clear that I absolutely expected the full amount of the refund promised and that I would not back down!
I did receive the smaller refund amount but when I called Seek Capital several times, I never received the full refund.
I then put in a dispute with the credit card company I had used.
A few days later I received a phone call from Gabrielle Smith who was a manager I had never talked to previously. She apologized for all the problems I was experiencing with Seek Capital regarding the FULL refund amount that I was originally promised.
She went out of her way to make sure that everything was resolved correctly. I was grateful to her for taking care of this situation. I told her that I had been very disappointed by most of the other representatives I had been talking to. I had told her that no one else was willing to do this and really appreciated what she had done.
Everything had now been resolved despite my frustration with many of the other employees I had previously talked to.

I reached out to Seek Capital to find ways to support my Women Owned Business during Covid-19 as my business has completely shut down and I haven't had income for the past 4 months. They stated that the best option for me would be to apply for a line of credit for my business. They stated this would be through business and personal credit cards and they would be able to get me $40,000 - $60,000 of credit although they couldn't confirm that amount. They stated they were being conservative in that amount so they didn't see a problem with helping me get the $60,000 which I truly needed. There was a caveat though. If I received less than $40,000 in funding I would have to pay a higher fee for their services. They stated that they would be applying for about 4 credit cards to receive this line of credit amount. I agreed. I then started to receive emails about the cards that they applied for and it turned out they applied for 12 credit cards which had a major affect on my credit report and will stay on there for at least 2 years. I wound up only receiving $35,000 in credit and I had to do most of the work to call and follow up on the credit cards. I then had to pay them about $5,000 in fees for their work which I'm not sure what it is that they did. Again because I wound up being approved for less than $40,000 I had to pay an 11.99% fee on what I received in funding. Yet they stated they were being conservative in their estimate of the line of credit amount. I reached out and stated that I was disappointed and I couldn't even use the credit cards the way that I needed to - liquid cash and they basically said sorry we'll put you in touch with a manager to discuss further. I had a long call with the manager and she said that she was going to review further and get back to me at the beginning of the next week. I never heard back from her and now its been a month. I reached out to her several times and she still has not returned a phone call or email. In the end I wasn't able to receive credit for my business instead I have 8 credit cards. All of them with super low balances and not much I can do with them because they don't have 0% APR on purchases. I want to let you know that I would steer clear of Seek Capital as they hurt my business and financial bottom line and did not help me. Instead I am now out $5,000 and have 8 credit cards and a lower credit score and no liquidity to help pay my business expenses. Thanks, Dina

In August I consulted with Michael Perry at Seek Capital to obtain funding for my business
In August I consulted with Michael Perry at Seek Capital to obtain funding for my business. Michael Perry made me aware that, "You don't have to worry, there will be "NO" fees or upfront costs. Charges will incur after I agree/accept funding from any of the banks they find funding for me; that's how all our client's pay". He made me aware that I would need to speak with his manager to go through the verification process that day, then within 12 -24 hours I would speak to Kelly to go over the different types of funding. Seek Capital scheduled the consultation between Kelly and myself two days later. Upon speaking with Kelly I learnt that most of the funding would be sought using my personal credit. Since I am capable for looking for funding using my own personal credit, and not my business credit as Michael Perry made me to believe, I declined to move forward. I did not know that I would be in jeopardy of having to pay the $900 early cancelation fee because Seek Capital are the one's who scheduled my second consultation in that time window, "outside of the required time-frame needed to cancel"...how ironic. Now I am being told that either I move forward and do business or pay-up, just like many other individuals, who are being forced to pay a cancelation fee, because of Seek Capital's misguidance while overselling their services. Self-interest is one of the most toxic characteristics in the financial industry. And Seek Capital business module fits this description like a glove. I don't know who the CEO of this company is, and quite frankly I don't want to know, because I am sure you are aware of the issues, and grievances you have caused many by your ruthless, tactics to get rich quick. I am appalled, and disgusted with anyone who considers themselves to be of good morals and ethics to find themselves working for your company. Those that choose to work for Seek Capital are just as responsible for the financial and material damage you are causing many potential clients that are loyal, and have good intentions in wanting to build businesses to improve and support the economic growth of our country. Seek Capital, if you were as confident in your business model, services and products, you wouldn't have to hold clients ransom. Creating a strong customer culture, with the organizations focus on customer needs and not self-needs is enough to have a strong presence. You'll also find that you wont have to use fraudulent, unscrupulous tactics to be successful. Furthermore, If you want to have a positive impact, go back to the drawing board and learn what it means to define values, and consider the greater good of your community, the world, and current and future employees. By building stronger bonds with consumers, companies grow responsibly, and perform better financially...That's how you win! I'd like to add that you don't deserve even one star, but since it's necessary to provide a star to post here goes one star.

Seek financing scam
Seek capital is a waste of money, no doubt about that. Here’s my experience; First and foremost, the only service they provide is filling out credit card applications on your behalf, that’s it. It all starts with about 3 hours of phone conversations, they want every detail of your business despite the fact that Seek is not a lender, they just fill out...
Read full review of Seek CapitalSmall business loan
They are not a direct lender, they make 3 phone calls to review their excessive high fees, ask you to explain your entire business plan and use of funds, ask you to confirm funding limits & tells you to request as high as possible, leading you to believe the chance of funding is high because of their relationships with banks. The first call is pre-approval (lie) they are not a bank. The second call is underwriting (lie) they are not a bank, this is where they ask you to sign a contract with them with a $495 cancellation cost. The 3rd call is compliance (lie) they are not a bank, this is where they have you sign again and tag on the $795 underwriting fee. They balance their high fees by over committing to funding approvals & 0% intro offers saving on interest on a high amount of funding. They use your personal credit to fund start up business. They only copy/paste consumer info as an illegal third party applicant and tells you to lie about Seek Capital's position being our personal financial advisor. They also tell you to lie saying that you applied yourself online. In the end, they destroy your personal credit, pull several hard inquiries, & over commit. By the 3rd phone call everyone is on the hook for $1,290 by just talking to you for 3 hours. Then charge 10-12% off everything you are approved for. Quickly making the 0% interest bait & hook a pointless! They want you to have the best personal credit profile so they can get you easily approved. But the consumer did the work already! My score was already top tier and low debt to income. I could easily fill out an application in less than 5 minutes. I believed they truly had bank relationships and will commit to their lowest funding amount.
Desired outcome: Be clear they are not a lender, be clear they do not have relationships with banks, be clear they may deliver $0 in funding and will still charge $1,290 in fees.

Seek Capital is a well organized scam. I was tricked into signing a contract to pay an exorbitant amount of money for a company getting me a few credit cards. I own a small business. I was trying to get a loan to help pay my employees and overhead. I went to LendingTree. From there Seek Capital immediately reached out and began selling me on a credit line instead of a loan. They said I would have the ability to liquidate all the funds. I talked to multiple people at Seek Capital and each time voiced I needed cash in hand not credit cards. I can't pay my employees and rent with credit cards. I was guaranteed this was the service I was getting. Upon signing the contract I was approved for multiple personal and business credit cards. I was then called by Seek Capital and told to lie to the credit card companies and tell them Seek Capital was not a third party co. but my personal financial advisor. This is when red flags went up. I looked up the company and my exact experience is being told over and over on Complaintsboard.com. That same day I got an invoice for c.$10k owed to Seek Capital. Within less than an hour of getting the invoice I began to get back to back calls, text, and emails telling me to pay my invoice or get $250 late fees. By the end of that weekend there were dozens more messages. I told them I was questioning the validity of the company and service. I didn't (and still do not) have any cash in hand. Nor a liquidation plan. The cards I did receive have a very limited cash advance limit. I now have less money and more debt than when I went to LendingTree. I attempted to negotiate with Seek Capital regarding a fair payment for getting me 6-8 new credit cards. They reduced my bill by $2,000. I was then sent an email within 2 days saying that is contingent on immediate payment, with threats of being sent to collections, paying their attorneys fees and adding on multiple $250 late fees. I paid the invoice under duress; however I contend the service was never provided.

On 9/2/22 we spoke with a representative of Seek Business Capital. We were seeking a specific amount in business funding. We were instructed that funding would be through unsecured credit card lines. A particular individual was assigned as our account manager. We spoke with this account manager on 9/3/22 and were told the following: to get the desired amount in business credit, we were to apply for at least an equivalent amount in personal credit, and thus they would apply for a corresponding amount in credit; we were initially estimated by Underwriting to be approved for up to $80K; the fee rate is discounted if we sought a higher amount in funding, we were encouraged to adjust the max to this higher figure; and we confirmed multiple times that we are seeking a maximum of a certain amount and the signed documents stated the same.
On 9/6/22 we spoke with the account manager for an update. He told us the applications were in process at about $45K in funding. He scheduled another call for 9/8/22 yet did not show up. We tried to contact him multiple times with no response. With no communication from the account manager, additional cards continued to show up, at greater than the amount we had agreed upon in new credit (business and personal). We were not contacted until 9/17/22 by another representative looking to review the invoice. When it was explained that we had received no communication from the account manager, the representative explained that he understood and was "on our side". This was why he was reaching out and other clients were affected, with many "going to legal".
We voiced the following concerns: the lack of any communication from the account manager during the funding period; the over-funding by a significant amount—this is credit that will have to be managed and impacts our credit regardless of what fees were charged by Seek Business Capital; and the statement that we would need personal credit in order to obtain business credit, yet these were from several different banks, and we received more than $20K business credit. We did not receive the services that we are being charged for and potentially have expenses to be incurred to manage these extra lines of credit not requested.
On September 7, 2022, I was in search of business funding options for my small enterprise. I completed a form that suggested Seek Capital as a viable source for business funding. The following day, I was contacted by the organization. During my appointment, a representative inquired about my business, highlighting their expertise in securing funding for newly established businesses. The representative took an interest in my credit history, which is nearly impeccable, and my income. Subsequently, I was guided through what turned out to be an application process. The representative was insistent, refusing to end the call until I consented to a deal that promised to secure a substantial business line of credit for me.
After the process concluded, I found myself burdened with a significant amount of debt on personal credit cards that were unrelated to my business, along with a business credit card issued in my company's name. An 'Account Manager' was then assigned to me, who persisted in misleading me about their services. This manager presented me with an invoice amounting to 10% of the total credit obtained through the personal credit cards, linked to my personal credit history. Upon raising concerns about this process, the manager attempted to sell me on a 'second phase of funding' at an additional cost, while suggesting that I should be content with the funding I had already received. Throughout this entire ordeal, I felt misled and exploited, a consequence of my strong credit score and income.
I reached out to Seek Business regarding a small business loan on August 28th. I was informed that the loan was actually for a business line of credit. During our conversation about the loan amount I required, we discussed billing details and the possibility of future adjustments. The representative emphasized their commitment to supporting female entrepreneurs by offering discounted rates, which would be applied after the initial invoice by an account manager. They promptly sent a form for me to sign while still on the call, stressing the urgency for immediate action to secure the funding.
Upon reviewing the application, I noticed it mentioned credit cards for both personal and business use, which was not what I had been led to believe. I quickly reached out to the representative to clarify, as I had no interest in personal or even business credit cards. The representative assured me that this was the standard procedure to obtain a line of credit and that checks would be provided by Seek Business to facilitate this process. I had a recorded conversation and text messages confirming this explanation. I explicitly inquired about the differences between this service and a cash advance, stating that a cash advance was not what I was seeking and that I could arrange that independently.
Later, the same representative assured me that the special rate for women entrepreneurs would be handled. However, that evening, I reconsidered the loan amount I needed and immediately informed the representative not to proceed with the application, despite being told that the funding process would not start for another two days. Despite my vigilance and repeated communications to halt the process, I discovered that actions were already being taken on my credit profile. I was instructed to make a payment to reduce a credit card balance, only to apply for the same card with the same limit. In subsequent communications, when I inquired about how to receive the checks, I was advised to contact Discover, revealing that the service was indeed a cash advance. The entire agreement was founded on misrepresentations. My requests to cease the process were ignored, and the representative feigned ignorance of my attempts to communicate.

This company came highly recommended for business funding as I manage a digital marketing firm
This company came highly recommended for business funding as I manage a digital marketing agency. Based on positive feedback, I started working with Seek Capital, LLC. Initially, they promised substantial funding through a mix of business and personal credit cards, along with a consolidation service. However, they applied for multiple credit lines, leaving me with numerous low-limit cards from different banks, which couldn't be consolidated. They also charged an 11% fee per card, contrary to our agreement of 11% on the total funded amount. I only found one card useful and disagreed with their approach. Soon after, collectors were demanding payment to avoid late fees, just a week after card issuance. Lengthy discussions with the collector were fruitless, and they threatened to involve third-party collectors. Further research revealed Seek Capital, LLC had mixed reviews online, with recent negative feedback. I plan to pursue this issue with legal assistance and advise others to avoid this unscrupulous company. They've impacted my credit, denied supervisor access, refused reasonable settlements, and even included a malicious script in their invoices, posing a cybersecurity threat.

Transaction date [protected] I was in search of business funding and was contacted by seek capital. I was working with multiple people and was coerced that the funding estimate agreement was needed to determine eligibility. The funding estimate agreement was pressured to complete while on the phone and not given proper time for legal review. When this was brought up along with the need to seek legal advise, I was informed that "it's too late" and there would be a termination fee applied if I didn't continue with the process. At this time, I have been baited and switched. As a small business trying to get off the ground, this company is preying on the vulnerable. The initial conversation should have started with all included fees associated with the process. Once I found out the true costs of the process, I was informed that it was too late to stop. If I was initially informed that I would me looking at ~$7000 in fees to get a line(s) of credit. I would have explored other options. This process has been shady one and I do not have trust in the process or the people as mich as they say they are in it for my best interest... at this point, nothing has been completed except for all work on my behalf, applications have been processed, no credit assistance has been given. I would like to remove myself from any business associated with this company, this waiving the early termination fees.
I dealt with this company while searching for a business loan throught small business administration. The search on Google lead me to seek capital LLC. They promised to get me a business loan instead they got me credit cards that I can get on my own. They lead me to believe that there is a flat fee for the service instead they charged me 9.9% fee per credit card acquired. About $9000 in fees for a 70000 credit limit on credits card. No business loan was acquired just credit cards. 60 days later they threatened me with collection without even sending me an invoice. If I known that they were going to get me only credit cards I would have said no. $9000 fee for getting credit card ridiculous.
I originally approached this company on 08/19/2022 for help with a business loan. Under duress, I listened to the salesperson. Initially, another individual started the process, but then I was redirected to a different representative. He convinced me to open some business credit lines, suggesting I aim for a higher credit amount and assuring me of his expertise as a financial advisor. I initially sought a $10,000 business loan, but this quickly escalated to a request for $50,000 in mostly personal credit, resulting in a significant impact on my credit score. From the beginning, I sensed something was amiss. It was only later that I recognized the company's predatory, manipulative, and deceitful nature. They acted in bad faith by not allowing me to fully cancel within their allotted window and by ignoring my wishes and inquiries as a customer.
8/20/2022 - After having a bad feeling, I researched the company and found terrible reviews from people who had been lured in similarly. I called to cancel the entire process the day after we went through applications. Each time I attempted to cancel, I was either given the runaround or outright hung up on. They informed me that the cancellation department was unavailable on Saturdays but promised to note my call and advised me to call back on Monday. Days later, I attempted to contact my representative or anyone who could assist with the cancellation, but no one seemed to care or be available to help. It appeared that every time I called, everyone who could assist was either busy or not in the office.
8/30/2022 - This was the first attempt from Seek Capital to contact me since the initial approach. They called three times, left a voicemail, and sent a text. Their urgency was nowhere to be found when I reached out to them. For 10 days, there was no communication, and then suddenly, they claimed an invoice I never received was due the previous day. Their eagerness to help or advise was absent before because their priority was to secure payment, regardless of the impact on my life. I can only hope that the next person reads about experiences like mine before engaging with them; a lesson I learned the hard way.
On 7/6/22 I reached out to Sofi Bank to inquire about a business loan, they referred me to Seek Capital. The minute I hung up with Sofi I already had a person from Seek Capital calling me. They kept me on the phone for a long time, they shuffled me around to 3 different people, after 45 min on the phone the 3rd person told me about their extremely high fees which I declined and said I was not interested. I never finalized the loan, it was an application only. I learned afterwards that Seek Capital does not provide funding themselves, what they do is apply for a bunch of credit cards which, again, I have no interest in. About a month ago a representative emailed and forwarded me the paperwork for the agreement into which they claim that I entered, including a power of attorney which had my initials on but I never signed. Please see pdf document attached. Since then, they have been calling me every day, several times a day, emailing, texting me, etc. I have not answered any calls, emails or texts but I am tired of being harassed and I dont know what else to do to make them go away. I am concerned they have all my info, SS#, etc, and this fake power of attorney. I also believe they have pulled my credit a couple of times since then likely as an attempt to damage my credit (which, by the way, is excellent). Please help me. Thank you.

The company was very misleading about how they were going to get me funding for my business and have caused damages to my credit and my relationships with my current credit card issuers. The first phone call they spent 45 minutes getting my information and letting me know I could receive a business line of credit by the means of using multiple sources to get the amount requested. They assured me over and over again that it was going to only be a soft credit pull to get the loan. I assumed what was going to happen is they would work personally with other creditors to get me the money but what they ended up doing is applying for over 6 credit cards all in my name in a matter of an hour crippling my credit with hard inquiries. After addressing my concerns with them they than assured me that they would get me business credit cards to use for business but were only able to acquire personal credit cards. They also didn't even get the credit cards approved themselves they made me 3 way call my creditors to get the accounts approved which is also not part of what they promised, they let me know that if I didn't call myself they would consider the application to be fraudulent so basically they are committing fraud by applying for cards using others information. The loophole is they make you sign a contract stating they can do this to you making it impossible to seek legal action for their crime, they also force you to continue their services or pay a fee to discontinue after you realize what you've done. I had to pay over *** just to get them to stop applying for cards because they charge a percent of what you receive in credit limits, so me in a position of already seeking money and having no other options paid the first fee for receiving credit cards not a loan so you pay them and than have to pay back your creditors. It's a scam, now months later after keeping some of the cards discover has canceled my account open since 2015 because of their fraudulent process

From the very first call I said that *** was not enough for me to reach my goal and want to continue with the program. The salesperson coerced me into completing what I thought was an application to see if I would qualify for more money. They said they were sure they could get me more money but I had to complete the paperwork to find out. The contract was called a funding "estimate" which is very misleading. As soon as I completed the paperwork I was asked about paying down the balances on my credit cards (something that was not mentioned before) and I told her I was not willing to pay one of them because it is zero interest. It doesn't make sense to use my funds to pay a zero interest credit card when my purpose is trying to get money for my business. She told me that she would speak to her manager and made me think that that condition could be waived. This put me past the 2 day cancellation period. So how could I have cancelled the contract in the 2 day window when I was made to believe that that condition could have been waived. She should've told me right then that that was not a possibility so I could have cancelled. As a financial institution I trusted you to help me. Instead I was put into a high pressure situation that was not fully explained to me. The next sales person I spoke to last week offered to roll the paydown of the credit card into my new loan at 9-12 months interest free but she failed to tell me that it would cost me 20-30% interest. How is that helpful? I immediately told him that I was not willing to pay down this card. You'll be able to find all of these recorded phone conversations. Now, I am being threatened with an early termination fee and a negative report to the credit bureau.
I am writing this complaint to prevent other small business from getting scammed by Seek Capital like I did. I don't understand how a company with thousands of bad reviews is still in business. I would like to start by warning others, please DO NOT sign a contract with Seek Capital because once you do your hands will be tied. I contacted Seek Capital around May 2022 regarding a line of credit loan for $30,000 but I explained that I needed the $30,000 to be in cash. I spoke with a funding advisor who insisted that they could get me a line of credit for $60,000 to $80,000 and that they would liquidate the credit cards into cash within2 to 4 weeks. I explained that I only needed $30,000 in cash but the funding advisor again insisted they could get me a line of credit for $60,000 to $80,000 so that I could have extra funds for my business. I was manipulated into moving forward with the process because I was told if I cancelled, I would be charged a $900 cancellation fee. This is the first red flag and I wish I would have stopped the process, but again I felt forced by the funding advisor to continue with the process, so I signed the contract. Seek Capital applied for 5 personal loan credit cards and only one business loan credit card. This was the second red flag; I could have easily applied for the credit card on my own but instead now I am forced to pay Seek Capital $7,000 for doing this poor service. Seek Capital was also adamant about charging the $7,000 to my business credit making this the third red flag. After receiving the credit cards, I was told they would schedule a "Zoom meeting" to discuss liquidating the funding into cash. My Zoom meeting was scheduled for 6/27/22 but no one showed they reschedule for 6/30/22 without notifying me. I was charged $595 for the Zoom Meeting which never occurred. It is now 7/17/22 and I have not received the $30,000 in cash like they promised. They failed to follow through with the cash liquidation in 2 to 4 weeks.
I went into Lending Tree looking for a personal loan for a down payment on a house. When looking I was recommended a certain Capital firm which has now become the worst mistake I have ever made. They started with a big sales pitch about how they can get me anything I wanted, that they can get me the money within 3 weeks, and that I qualified for a substantial loan. They proceeded for days to break me down and talked me into signing contracts saying it was refundable if I decided to cancel only to find out by the time they scheduled my next appointment they conveniently made it that it was past the time I could back out.
They told me that they were getting me a loan from private lenders and that I would pay them 12% for the loan which I was originally okay with because that's what you have to pay with loans sometimes. Then to find out they take all of my personal information and apply for over 12 credit cards without my permission and drop my credit score over 75 points. I told them that it was never what I wanted and that I will not be paying for their services and now for the last month they have changed their number 4 times after I blocked them, email me and call me multiple times a day and continue to tell me if I do not pay them that I will be sent to collections. I'm not sure what to do at this point I feel that I have been scammed and am now being continually harassed and threatened. Please help me.
When I was matched with a company to seek funding for my business, everything seemed great. I completed the application without any issues and was pre-approved for a substantial amount. However, this turned out to be misleading! During my final appointment, they informed me that the funding was actually for credit cards. They had explained that the loan could be used for any purpose and that once I made a payment, I would be able to reuse the funds. It wasn't until the application was complete that I discovered it was for credit cards. At no point had they clearly stated the true nature of the offer. It was deceptive from the start, and throughout the application process, they stayed online with me, giving me no time to read the fine print and pressuring me to agree before disclosing it involved multiple credit cards. Eventually, I agreed, but soon after, I found my good credit tarnished with 16 inquiries on my credit report, rendering me unable to secure a business loan now that my credit was compromised. They managed to secure a small amount in multiple credit cards, all of which were denied due to the excessive inquiries, effectively ruining any chance I had of starting over with a new loan. So how could I be pre-approved for a significant amount when they failed to honor their word and ran my credit with credit cards excessively? I don't feel obligated to pay because I would be compensating someone for damaging my credit, which now prevents me from obtaining a loan to start my business. Since then, they have been harassing me with calls up to five times in a row from different numbers. I receive multiple calls a day, and this has continued for some time now, even as I consider opening a court case. I've received text messages from them threatening that this will affect my company's record, which is ironic since I can't even start my business due to my ruined credit. The experience has been one of harassment, deception, and unfulfilled promises. I cannot recommend this company as they are dishonest about pre-approval statuses and have left me in a worse position than before. I am contemplating taking legal action if the company cannot rectify the situation.
This company reached out several times after seeing I needed a business LOAN
This company reached out several times after seeing I needed a business LOAN. I talked on the phone with them and I explained my exactly goals, why I needed the money and how the money would be used. I needed a hard money loan. Instead I was given credit cards and was mislead while talking on the phone with them. Multiple times I was convinced I'd be getting a loan. They also wanted me to reach out to some banks for MORE credit cards I did not want and said not to mention to the banks they had told me to do so. It's really stressful knowing that they knew all along there would be no loan and now I'm stuck with this hurting my credit score and still 0 funding. To top it off they seem to do this to many people and send me an invoice for about $*** for gettting me credit cards I never wanted. They have you sign a form and stay on the line with you so you do it quickly. *** "my account manger " was pretty rude and pushy vs the other people I had talked to but they all we told I needed a loan and idk how in the world it got switched to credit card limits from a bunch of banks. Also added a few of like$600 for trying to get more than $*** funding. Then another fee to help with my credit. Not sure if they are even licensed in California, read some reviews later on that they might not be. Pretty much went in trying to get a loan, clicked all the options for business loan and I have texts from them saying we matched based on my funding needs. There approach is very deceptive and I have no idea how I didn't catch on sooner. Once they transferred me to *** that's when I caught on that they really not looking out for my best interest and just trying to pile up cards to make money off the credit lines. I even got an airlines credit card which is useless. They also try and sell you a service to cash out the money from all the cards. Breana even knew I wouldn't be able to use the money with out that service so she got a little frustrated with me. Our phone calls have it

Please halt my credit card application process immediately. I had to freeze applications with the credit bureau, which will likely reduce my credit score significantly due to the applications you initiated and I subsequently canceled. They informed me that charges would be incurred soon, even within the first 24 hours. I have no need for credit cards; the reason I applied was because the company falsely promised a low annual percentage rate on cash liquidation, which turned out to be deceptive and constitutes fraudulent activity. This issue lies with the banks, not with you, SEEK. It's peculiar that they utilize a loan page for this purpose, which makes the deception more effective because we tend to trust the official loan pages. SEEK entices clients with the prospect of great offers when providing a loan, but in reality, they engage in credit card applications to surreptitiously take an 11% fee without providing any service.
On the 5th of June, 2022, during my application process with the company, they posed several questions to me. As they were detailing the fees, I expressed a desire to take some time to think it over. However, they immediately pressured me by referencing a fee associated with my previous application, insisting that I would be charged if I did not continue. Without giving me a moment to reflect, we proceeded with the application questions and eventually completed the process. The representative was not interested in my inquiries and seemed only focused on getting answers from me. Her approach was brusque and authoritative.
Once the application was finalized, I reconsidered and promptly contacted the company to request the cancellation of my application. A representative verbally acknowledged my request, but the company later disregarded my use of the term 'cancel'. I also sent an email immediately following the application to reinforce my request. Despite this, within five minutes, they had processed applications for eleven credit cards without my consent. I found myself having to contact each credit card company to explain the situation.
The company's representatives have since been pressuring me to make payments for services I never agreed to. They have been unyielding, refusing to accept my declination of their services. Their daily calls have become a form of harassment, with threats to send the supposed debts to collections. This level of aggression is unprecedented in my experience with any reputable business, especially when a customer decides against using their services.
The discomfort during the application process led me to cancel immediately after its completion. The treatment I received was unacceptable; the stress of the situation even affected my sleep. I felt intimidated by what I can only describe as scam tactics. They must cease their harassment and stop sending me unwarranted bills. I owe them nothing; I have rejected their services outright. This company does not operate legitimately. Their business model is fundamentally flawed, coercing individuals into agreements that are not in their best interest, potentially leading many into credit card debt. Rather than offering positive solutions, they seem intent on trapping more people in financial burdens. Such practices must be stopped to prevent widespread consumer exploitation.
Seek Capitol engaged me in April regarding a certain program rolled out by a specific agency. They assured me of a money-back guarantee within an original timeframe of 12 to 16 weeks. I was clearly informed in the presence of a witness that no fees would be charged until I received my funds. However, after a change in their approach, I paid them $21,000, which is 10% of the amount I was told I would receive from the agency. We have contacted the agency on two occasions. On both instances, I was informed that they have not even received the necessary paperwork from Seek Capitol to initiate the process. Seek Capitol consistently promises to return calls but fails to do so. They have scheduled calls for which I have made myself available, yet they never honor these appointments. I am seeking a refund of my money as guaranteed in the contract, and I wish to terminate the agreement so that I can proceed with the agency's program without any interference from them, as stipulated in the contract.
Deceptive business practices and unprofessional behavior are what characterize this company. They sent an invoice, and the billing company proceeded to call upwards of 30 times within a few hours from various numbers. Earlier in the day, I had explained that I would be occupied with important matters and would not be available until the next business day. I also added an email later in the evening. When I complained about the excessive number of calls, the representative said that he was sorry I felt that way but did not offer a genuine apology or show any concern. This is the hallmark of an unprofessional company.
Due to this conduct, there was a significant disruption throughout my afternoon and evening. Their inability to complete the work is a direct result of this abhorrent behavior. They should issue a partial refund due to these practices. They foster a terrible customer experience and display a flippant attitude toward their behavior and lack of effort in assisting me. Furthermore, they failed to complete all the work they were contracted to do.
Seek Capital has deliberately avoided following up on or attempting to contact me with regards to a billing issue
Seek Capital has deliberately avoided following up on or attempting to contact me with regards to a billing issue. This issues is ongoing since August Summary of Dispute: I'm disputing an overcharge of $1,194.40 of the total amount charged to my card referenced in this dispute for the following reasons: 1. As indicated on page 2 in the attached Verification Call Questionnaire document (and as I was told by my account manager, ***, over the phone), I should not be charged the billing rate of 9.99% for the funding amounts that exceeded my maximum funding amount of $***. I was *** = $769.23. For this issue, I should be refunded $599.40. 2. As indicated in the contract (see page 5 of the attached document Verification Call Questionnaire), I should have been refunded $595 for the "Bank Negotiations" fee because Seek Capital's efforts speaking on my behalf to banks resulted in $0 in approved funding. For this issue, I should be refunded $595. Per the details above, I should be refunded a total of ***. After months of no response from ***, I requested to speak with a manager which is when I was referred to ***. In my initial call with Samara on 9/25, I was told that I'd have an update on their investigation by 9/29 - however, after numerous calls and emails, I have yet to have received any response from Seek Capital. Each time I get someone on the phone, I get the exact same script from them that "She/Her team is/are on a call and will call you back in X minutes/hours". It has been over a month, so I highly doubt that anyone has any intentions on actually getting back to me. This is seriously disappointing because, before they took my money, I would get at least 3 phone calls from them while they were trying to make a sale. Classic example of a low-morale, bait & switch culture at that company that is only focused on making money and shows a complete lack of effort in doing what's right and legal.

I found this company online and applied to get a business loan for my business
I found this company online and applied to get a business loan for my business. They advertise many different ways to provide funding for my business so I decided to see what they could offer. A representative called me shortly after and sent over a funding estimate on how much they could provide me. I just wanted to see how they could provide me with funding, but the representative pressured me to signing the agreement first before we could progress into further details. Several days later, they contacted me and began explaining how they wanted to apply for many different business credit cards and that I needed to get rid of any other debt I have in order to get the most funding possible. I kept asking if they provide loans but they would hesitate and respond vaguely that I would receive enough funding for my business. After digging deeper into the company, I realized that they only apply their customer's for credit cards and in that way they are able to supply funding. Once I realized this, I told them that I didn't want to do it that way and that if they couldn't provide me with a business loan then I wasn't in need of their services. The manager named Star than contacted me and began persuading me that opening countless of credit cards is best for my business and if I didn't want to proceed I would be charged a fee of $995. I explained to her I by no means want to risk my business by opening many credit cards on it and she began threatening me with the $995 fee for consulting them even though I received no funding or help from them. I tried to explain to her how during this pandemic, my company has hit rock bottom and I have depleted my funds completely. I do not even have the funds to pay her for the fee she said I was required to pay. She threatened that if I wouldn't pay it within a short period of time that I would receive late penalties that would add to the amount they say I owe. Then if I continued not to pay they would send my company to a collections agency. I told her I do not have any funds at all in the company, and that the only reason I was speaking to them was to receive funds. So now I fear for my business not to be bankrupted by Seek Capital because of the mark they would put on my credit report by sending me to collections. I have no options, I don't have any capital and am being threatened by them to pay for a service I didn't even receive.

Opened credit cards on my behalf but didn't adhere to my requests Seek Capital claims to help business owners get unsecured funds for business
Opened credit cards on my behalf but didn't adhere to my requests Seek Capital claims to help business owners get unsecured funds for business through opening a line of unsecured credit cards. However, what they don't mention or provide are the types/list of credit cards they wish to open before submitting those applications. They should provide this before filling our any applications. I told *** that I didn't want a card with any annual fees and she still open a card with an annual fee. Some of the cards Seek Capital opened didn't include the 0% introductory purchase APR as also discussed. I assumed they had relationships with banks or CC companies that I didn't, which in turn would get me favorable CC terms, particularly with Business Credit Cards. This is not the case. Seek Capital should disclose this upfront too. They simply filled out CC applications on my behalf and I still had to get on the phone with most of the CC companies to explain why I was applying. I could have done this myself and been more selective. What's worse is they charged me $*** to open 4 credit cards, which is insane. They charge a commission on the total amount approved. However, the approved amount is based on my credit worthiness and my salary. It's not like that did anything special to help increase the CC limits. They wanted to open more CCs but I said no, because in doing so it would hurt my credit score. The more cards I open, the more they get paid. It wasn't until I signed my rights way and I'm knee deep into this process that I realize what is going on and that I'm being scammed. I will have to cancel most of these cards that were opened. Then they harassed me for payment by claiming my invoice was late. I told them that it didn't make sense to pay them until I receive all my credit cards and review the terms. They create this arbitrary due date to make you feel like your payment is late and you'll be charged a late fee, to ensure you pay them. Even the liquidation plan that I paid for was a joke. Basically all they recommend a company called Plastiq to make payments with vendors that don't accept CC. The catch though is that it only works with business credit cards and not the many personal CCs that they just opened on myself. If a personal CC were to be used, it would trigger the same cash advance fees. It's all a scam. I didn't see the numerous bad reviews until after the fact. They somehow have 4 stars but when you go deeper you see all the 1 star reviews. I don't have hard dates for all the phone conversations, which were numerous, but it all started on November .

This is in regard to the complaint I have with Seek Capital
This is in regard to the complaint I have with Seek Capital.. When I first got in touch with them I talked to a guy .. can't remember his name .. we talked for probably 30 min and came to the conclusion he could not promise me at least 50.000 I would have to have.. and canceled my application... A couple days later I get a call from Seek Capital telling me they had reconsidered my application and didn't see any reason we couldn't get what I needed plus more..So I reopened my file ...The first guy *** I think told me we would have no problem getting what I needed.. so we reopened my file.. I was told they would have to go through a few different banks to get the loans..I said I was good with that.. and signed some release forms .. I told them I didn't have a computer only my phone so it would take me longer to read everything.. Next I was told I had a credit card from Simmons Bank that would have to be paid down in order to get my credit score up so we could get even more money.. so I was told I would have to pay 2000 on my credit card to get where it had to be..So I took 2000 out of my savings that I couldn't afford to do and paid it down... and of coarse I had to sign more papers.. I was always hurried to get them signed because I wasn't the only one trying to get a loan.. so I really never got to read everything.. then I get another different person who talks to me about like the other one getting me to change the amount I wanted from 50.000 to 70.000 to lower the credit to capital ratio or something like that and then to sign a temporary power of attorney so they could use my name to get these loans.. Then sign more Papers and hurry up because there are people waiting... So it was at about this point where they finally tell me the loans are just unsecured credit cards... Which I already have 8or 10 and sure don't want any more.. but by now it's too late .. I was assured I would get between 30 and 50 thousand dollars.. so the cards start coming in and I only get 24000 in cards... they try to get me to reach out for more cards but I refuse then they tell me I owe them ***$ for what they did.. they didn't even get me enough to put a down payment on a truck.. I ask to speak to a manager the guy in billing said he was the only one I could talk to at this point and threatened to charge me with late fees if I didn't pay right then so I did pay money I didn't have to pay for a loan I didn't get... if I had known they were going to get me credit cards I would never have started.. That needs to be up front so everyone can know... I think I should get all or at least part of me money back. Thanking You In Advance

They violated the contract agreement of 0 percent and still want me to keep the contract and pay a ridiculous amount for fees At first it seemed
They violated the contract agreement of 0 percent and still want me to keep the contract and pay a ridiculous amount for fees At first it seemed like thing would work with this company to get funding for a start up company. Quickly i learned this was not correct, had to deal with 5 different people and every phone call we were spoon fed little bits of information. Full explination was not given ever at one time, we had to jump through hoops to get to the next step just to fiind out we were liable for more fees. The lines of credit were from credit cards, half of them were in my own name and not my companies name. they told me i needed to build my companies credit so i dont know how personal cc lines would help. They told us they only deal with certain lenders they have relationships with, i dont know how many credit inquiries i had when they got the ball rolling. i was getting emails from banks in other countries with foreign writing in the email i did not understand. i mentioned this to them and they had no idea why their were foreign banks that were applied to for credit, guess they just select all banks and send. They kept trying to get me to increase the amount of money i would be ok with being accepted for. originally *** and they thought i could get *** the fees for *** approval would have been over *** vs *** for *** funding. so i can see why they dont tell all the info at once and try to get way more funding than needed, they just make more money. They failed to call *** that we had phone call appointments for and were late for 2 *** The people you talk to sound like they are still in high school and dont know their job. one person filed for the business license and didnt know what the terms meant when i asked and the application was denied when submitted because of incorrect information filled out by their specialist. The contract says that a *** apr for the first *** billing cycles will be from unsecured credit cards. one card they got was for *** from the day of activation. this is where the contract was violated. i mentiioned this to a manager and they tried to still keep me a customer just because it was lots of work for them to just go to waste. I was told one phone call by the manager that i could cancel and not pay the *** fees and the next phone call she said i could not cancel. They will not let me out of the deal and will not let me talk to higher managment. They still want me to pay the full fees before they explain in detail how i can use the custom liquidation plan that was an extra *** fee. I believe this company is intentionally leaving information out to customers to get them in and a contract signed within the first day then inflating customers funding needs just to make a higher commission. I want an confirmation from them saying that i am no longer in a contract with them since they violated it and i am no longer obligated to pay *** for credit cards that were never activated.

From the the beginning,f I applibusine business financing
From the the beginning,f I applibusine business financing. They did nothing in the name of my business. I asked why & they wanted to charge me more. I found this companyscompany through Sofi to fund my new business. I spoke to two reps on 7/25. I was told that because I had too many hard inquiries on my credit profile I would need a "cosigner" for my loan application. My father in law agreed to cosign and we moved forward with the application. One the initial application was in process (asked for ***) they called to tell us we were approved for ***k. As we continued through the process the "loan approval" became a line of credit. We agreed that that would be ok as long as I had the ability to write a check and put it into my business banking account to pay payroll expenses. (The entire reason for my application). They said they could absolutely help with this and that they would do a mix of credit cards (in the business name) and checks for payroll. Immediately after signing my father in law kept getting emails from credit card companies for application after application. We were a little confused and I emailed my "account" manager *** to ask if they were going to be business cards. He said they would. Once the cards started coming in the mail not ONE was in the business name and I again reached out to ***. It was then he told me that all the cards would be in my father in laws name. At this point I became very upset as this was not what we agreed upon and asked that I be contacted by a supervisor. Additionally, at the same time, *** was reaching out to my father in law and asking him about closing out the account. My father in law told him that he did not feel comfortable making that decision as it was for my business as discussed from the beginning and that he was told he was only to be added as a cosigner. He also explained that he didn't understand why the cards kept coming in his name. Seek capital just kept insisting that they could just add me as an authorized user. In the interim, I was able to contact *** the supposed "manager" and have him call me. He kept arguing with me on the phone telling me over and over that they got me $*** in funding. I told them that what they did was not useful to me OR my business. It was then that *** said they could still help me for an additional cost. I said no thank you as I would then have double and triple charges for cash advance and adding an authorized user. He said that they would refer me to a third party for funding and payroll system. I already had a payroll system which I told them from DAY 1. He then told me that I needed to make a decision because my account was going to have late fees. I said that I couldn't have late fees when I was never even told I had a bill. He emailed me the bill and I paid it but I do not think they deserve a dime. They didn't listen to my initial request and didn't give me anything that was initially discussed. They ran my father in laws credit through the mud and didn't help my business at all. They were extremely rude and don't deserve any accreditation.

Coerced into signing a contract I did not want, out of fear instilled by Seek Capital employee threats
Coerced into signing a contract I did not want, out of fear instilled by Seek Capital employee threats. I was sent over an Estimate Agreement from Seek Capital, in regard to helping procure a loan for my business. I was coached that I would have a member of their team walk me through the contract. I signed the initial agreement, briefly asking about their cancelation policy, which states: "CANCELLATION: If Client wishes to cancel this Funding Estimate Agreement, Consultant agrees to cease any and all future applications. All cancellations must be submitted in writing. Client acknowledges that once applications have been submitted, Client shall be responsible for any 'Consulting Fees' due to Consultant for any approved applications submitted prior to Client cancelling this agreement. Early termination fee of $495 if cancelled within 48 hours and $*** if cancelled after 48 hours of execution of Funding Estimate Agreement. Early Termination Fee shall be due within 48 hours of invoice receipt. Consultant reserves the right to cancel Client's file within a 7-day calendar period due to lack of responsiveness on Client's part after Consultant has made reasonable contact attempts within this timeframe." The cancellation fees were not addressed by Seek Capital LLC whatsoever, and when it was brought up I was told that they only applied if I signed both the Estimate and Acknowledgement contract. Also, this first 'contract estimate' stated that it was valid only 2/1-2/2, and was signed 2/3, thereby voiding the validity of the agreement, without me initially even realizing until I began my in-depth investigation to their practices. They scheduled the call with a woman named ***. to explain the details of the contract on Monday the 8th, 72 hours later, which automatically out timed me to cancel the contract because (without my knowledge) the included the weekend in the timeline of the cancelation, even though no member of the underwriting department was available to speak. After my conversation with *** Monday night, I decided that what they were offering would not be a good fit for my company, and I did not want to move forward. I did not sign the acknowledgement contract *** sent over, because I had no desire to move forward. I contacted her via email that I didn't think it was the right fit for my company and did not want to move forward with the application. I was immediately contacted by another woman, ***. stating I was responsible for the application fee, with an additional $*** cancelation fee if I decided to not move forward. I stated that I did not sign the acknowledgement of understanding contract, because upon getting a full understanding of the contract I in no way wanted to move forward. She threatened that if the invoice for the cancelation fee was not paid within 10 days of $***, plus their $795 application fee, the invoice would be immediately sent to collections. Out of sheer fear, guided by threats and misinformation, I signed the contract Friday afternoon, stating that I 'understood' the contract February 12th. It still did not sit right with me that I should be forced into a contract I never wanted to be in, and upon looking into on my own, I realized that I had become a victim of a predatory business practice, COERCED into signing a second "acknowledgement" contract in order to not be hit with the cancelation fee being sent to collections. Upon looking into this more, I realized I had been a victim of wrongful scare tactics. Every call was announced as recorded, but they have yet to release a transcript of the conversations, presumably because the recordings are in my favor, not theirs.

Misleading/Deceptive/Unethical Manipulative those in need finally who apply without empathy or conscience
Misleading/Deceptive/Unethical Manipulative those in need finally who apply without empathy or conscience. Searching on line for a possible business loan on 2/26 I entered requested info for a possible loan lender and submitted and within a minute or less my cell phone rang and it was Seek. Very pleasant, very promising words spoken on the subject of a business loan however Seek Capital LLC, contrary to their phone demeanor, is a malicious company. Everything moves and moved very fast with them within 3 days to realizing that this was not and is not a source to go to. They are very "smooth" and just sweep one in need off their feet to " believe" the customer has made a good choice selecting them. On the phone they portray themselves as a "consulting firm that specializes in obtaining small business funding" however it is credit cards which is the opposite of what any small business wants when seeking funding. My need was for $*** and I was wondering why on the phone the topic of $30,000 is possible to obtain was stated to me several several times. It made sense after reading reviews regarding Seek Financial on line and how they swindled money from customers at 11.99% on the credit card(s) limits they would apply for in the customer's name. Many have had their credit damaged, credit card applications as stated "countless" cards in one's name. And the more cards the more money one pays. Additionally, they claim "no interest" for the first year on any of the credit cards but instead apply a surcharge for each card, completely negating any "savings" on the interest. My personal experience with them has been absolutely dreadful. Ultimately, I was unable to move forward with by business venture before I finalized the paperwork. I reached out to explain my plight and in response, I received a phone call notifying me of an "early cancellation" charge of $995 which was invoiced immediately. The amazing part is that they had not done any actual work to warrant this over-inflated charge. I searched the Complaintsboard.com website and found so many similar complaints which eased my mind a little. I was billed after the phone call through an email at a charge of $995.00 with a rate of $95 an hour for responding to their phone call with them and stating that I am not proceeding forward because I knew after consideration that this company is not ethical. My business is delayed time wise but now only through a "bank" in person would I consider taking financial needs to directly. Seek consultants are very smooth talkers and fast ones at that utilizing other's hopes and dreams to take in the end deceptively. My complaint is regarding this "invoice" for their misguided smooth talks and used my urgency of my business timeline to see me as an easy target to take advantage of like so many in recent/past reviews and complaints filed regarding them. If this invoice is not paid Kia, their consultant on the phone, stated it would go to a collection agency. Seek only adds to the long list of social and financial problems this country and its people face every day. I have, since that call from Kia filing with your agency, the Attorney General(s), CFPB, NJ Division of Consumer Affairs and Bureau of Securities. Reading previous responses from Seek at Complaintsboard.com to other people who filed complaints on Complaintsboard.com, it seems a "script" is how they respond. This is how they are on the phone very exact to make one believe "they" are established to assist serious needs that people have to move forward in their lives only to be "predators" who take from others in the end and change others mindsets on the on the world around them leaving the Seek customer emotionally and financially bankrupt.

Full refund request due to lack of transparency and dissatisfaction - terms ensure refunds on dissatisfaction
Full refund request due to lack of transparency and dissatisfaction - terms ensure refunds on dissatisfaction On or about February 1 we applied for business funding with a company that spoke with us in detail and we asked about the difference between a bank loan and the 'revolving line of credit' being presented. He insisted this was a better option than both a bank loan and a credit card and that we should see funding as early as 24 hours. We already had a business credit card in our possession we had obtained prior and with a 750/760 credit score, our company was looking for a cash option for funding. After explaining the fee structure briefly to us, we opted for the application fee and an account to be created plus for the company to act as a liaison for business lines of credit. What we received was a poorly executed account with the wrong information, personal credit card applications that will not reflect on our business credit reports and sales people who avoided all important questions. On several occasions, we noticed inconsistencies in what was told to us over the phone and made a decision to lower the funding amount. Then at one point, when we inquired about cancelling we were told 'you're going to owe the money anyway'. So, under duress, we proceeded. The process was rushed by the company, and after speaking in detail with a representative about the fraud the company committed and their lack of candor, we sent a written request to void the Limited POA and stop all further dealings with their company. The company avoided several scheduled meetings and phone calls from us, and we will be attaching all email correspondence along with all other consumer complaints. The Agreement was only signed by one principal in our company and not by the company. Further, the Agreement was only valid until 2/3 so any dealings with the company were not legally bound. After the company pushed our account to collections and stopped picking up all emails and calls, we were sent to a representative who seems to be more concerned with defending the company rather than assisting us and complying with their terms and conditions which state 'Our goal is to provide you with excellent service. We want you to be 100% satisfied. If you are not, please contact us right away and we will correct the situation, provide a refund or offer credit that can be used for future orders'. When we asked for the account to be corrected, the company blamed us for wrong information but would not explain how the process was done. Is this ported from the IRS or what? She refused to send us the copy of the 'application' where the information came from. They are seriously out of control. We are being forced and threatened to pay fees for 1 business credit card obtained and the invoice for 1 conditionally approved personal credit card. To avoid collections, we were forced to pay this fraudulent company. They refuse to answer questions! They will most likely respond with the cut and paste responses we see on all the other sites where they have been reported. The company is running an 'advanced fee scheme' under the guise of being financial business lenders and consultants. An Advanced Fee Scheme as defined by the authorities is 'a victim pays money in anticipation of receiving something greater such as a loan and receives little to nothing in return'. The 'finder' had no intention or the ability to provide financing as advertised on their website and in several phone calls. The company also has an expired license as of December , number (this is PUBLIC RECORD) - and should be reported. I have emails where they call themselves lenders, brokers and sometimes consultants. So many other consumers have this same issue and they need to be investigated further.

The services promised were not delivered and the company would like additional payments for services that were not specified or provided until
The services promised were not delivered and the company would like additional payments for services that were not specified or provided until later. I spoke to a representative on 9/14 and was quickly given a choice to start working with the company in regards to my desire for a business credit line. I was told that they had a network of different lenders including credit unions and small bank lenders to provide the credit line. Later on during the process of final onboarding I was informed that credit cards would be used to also assist in getting a consolidated credit line. When I did accept this I was told that later that day I was eligible in their system for 6 national credit cards that were then applied to on my behalf. I asked for the bank names and they were all national credit cards. They also mentioned that they had a network to get in touch with all banks and thus there was a greater chance of getting approved. As I waited for further progress towards my credit line I was finally told a couple of weeks after, recently that no credit unions or any such small banks were contacted or pursued on my behalf for a credit line perhaps because of my geography; though they knew my address and location from the start so this was confusing and strange. Then when I was approved for credit cards they kept demanding that I activate immediately so I can pay them without any delay. Part of their advertising is that the credit cards you get have rewards (as most do) however they do not care to inform that you have to select rewards programs that are applicable for the charge they make i.e. business consulting which requires setting up the card beyond simply activation. They pressure you to pay immediately so that I did not even get the rewards from their charge because of the setup required by the credit card. When I spoke to the credit card bank in question they told me if this is a business consulting company they could refund you and re-charge you so that you can get the rewards. I inquired with them about this but they denied my request however noted that for future clients they would not repeat their mistake again, I'm glad future clients will be treated better for which does not help me very much. Also they got the business card under my name not the business name, which I had spoken to them about from the beginning the whole purpose of providing them my business information. No credit line was ever created and no banks or credit unions contacted and no special service for getting approved were provided or gained. Then not from them but from my local bank I realized they applied for a credit card (a bank I have had over 15 years relationship with and have a variety of personal and business accounts with them) and they never told me they were applying to that bank before they had. When I brought it up they said it was a business card. Wrong. When I inquired the pending application with the bank I was told it was a standard card not a business card; in fact it was a standard card that was offered to me time and again with different promotions that I had myself declined in the past to apply for. From my conversations with this company they do not even apply for credit cards from this local bank nor do much if any business with them they only added it on without my knowledge because I told them it was my bank otherwise they would not have even applied to that bank in the first place. My local bank this bank that they would never have otherwise pursued for me without my knowledge when the cards offered at that level have been offered to me frequently with high level promotions why would I go through this company and pay a fortune to obtain that? There are businesses suffering with uncertainty from the outcomes of this pandemic crisis the financial services sector needs regulatory investigations via Federal Trade Commission, Treasury Dept's Comptroller, and State Attorney's Office in CA. People have been prosecuted for manipulating sales of essential goods during this crisis as to an unfair advantage to blackmail cash from the public. Capital is an essential good.

Never completed final steps to allow seek to obtain funding for my business due to being uncomfortable with their terms
Never completed final steps to allow seek to obtain funding for my business due to being uncomfortable with their terms. They sent an invoice anyway. ON 1/28 I was contacted by Seek Business capital after filling out an inquiry for business funding online. At 3:07pm, I received an email from *** stating that I had been preapproved for funding & a senior account manager would contact me. I received a phone call from *** who asked me to review and sign a "Funding Estimate Agreement" that was emailed at 3:23pm 1/28. *** remained on the line and rushed me through the signing process. This document outlined my preapproval for $***, Fees (Item 3: Application fee of $695, 9.99% Consulting fee of Funding Approved, & terms. Item 3 also stated in bold NO UPFRONT FEES. It defined funding approval & stated all fees due upon successful approval. With *** on the phone during the duration of the call I felt pressured to sign, but felt confident with *** reassurances that I would not be charged anything unless funding was approved. I signed the document at 3:47pm. 1/28 then became a whirlwind of activity. At 3:47pm I received an email & link to an online notary to sign my agreement that Seek Capital could fill out credit card applications on my behalf. I signed all documents by 3:59pm. At 4:38pm I received an email from *** requesting Articles of Incorporation EIN copy. *** was on the phone with me the whole time, and discouraged me getting off the phone even to find these documents, which I sent @ 4:51pm. After the documents were sent the Seek representative on the phone told me I would need to set up an appointment for a verification & compliance call, the final step to release Seek to try to secure my funding. He pressured a quick appointment, so I agreed on a time in the middle of my workday. An appointment was set up for 1/29 at 3:30pm, and an email confirmation came through at 5:03pm on 1/28 (appointment with ***). On 1/20 I received a phone call from (XXX)XXX-XXXX at 3:32 and 3:36 which I missed. At 3:40 I received an email that I had missed a call. I contacted them and the verification call continued. This was an hour long phone call detailing all of seek capitals plan to obtain my funding. During this call I became more and more uncertain that this was the right path for me. I needed 20,000 in cash, and Seek intended to open up to 6-8 credit cards in my name using their contacts and relationships. They made it clear there were no gauruntees for funding, & that I had right to refuse funding they secured and re-iterated fees would only be collected upon Seek securing funding. *** encouraged me to allow them to seek more funding than I had originally requested to keep available credit higher. This of course, raise the potential earn for Seek capital to collect more consulting fee. By the end of the call, *** wanted to remain on the line while I signed the final documents. At this point I felt certain that this wasn't the right choice for my business. I felt too pressured, and it felt predatory. I have great credit and could apply for these cards on my own and not pay fees. I told *** that I needed to discuss this further with my business partner and he said he would follow up with me. We decided not to proceed. I recieved follow up emails reminding me to sign the verification document each day after from *** on 1/31, 2/1, 2/2, 2/3, 2/4, 2/5, 2/6, 2/7 and 2/8. On 2/5 I received an email from *** at 4:22pm stating I had cancellation fees due as explained in item 12 of the first document I signed cancellation needed to be submitted in writing. I responded at 5:12pm explaining that I felt uncomfortable with their terms and felt pressure to sign, so I would not be signing the final documents & to close my file. I told her I was assured no fees upfront and as I never gave final release for Seek to find funding I was requesting waive of cancellation fees. I received no response, & received an invoice from ***,***> for $995 on 2/14, 2/17 and 2/18.
