I recently traded in my truck for a jeep at Sherwood Park Dodge Chrysler Jeep FIAT, but I encountered some issues with retrieving my personal belongings. Unfortunately, before I had the chance to clean out my truck, it was taken off the property. When it returned, I discovered that some of my most valuable items, including a game of bones worth $300.00, my house key, and my quad key, were missing. As a result, I now have to spend over a thousand dollars to re-chip and program my quad because I don't have another key. Additionally, there were a couple more items in my truck that they claim they can't find or misplaced.
I have visited the dealership multiple times to resolve this matter, but the best they could offer was a cheque for $250.00 immediately and another cheque for $200.00 in a couple of weeks. However, in my opinion, this compensation is not sufficient. I now have to spend more money out of my own pocket to retrieve my belongings. All I asked for was the value of my items back, but they either won't or can't fulfill this request. I'm at a loss for what to do next, which is why I am sharing my experience here.

On December 5, I bought a 2020 Jeep Gladiator Sport S from Sherwood Park Dodge Chrysler Jeep FIAT. The VIN number is ***, and it was listed for $47,447. However, I ended up paying $52,885. Before making a down-payment of $10,000 to Finance ***, I tried to opt out of the extended warranty. Unfortunately, they refused my request.
The salesperson, ***, promised to send me a parts credit by mail and cancel the warranty. According to the options report, the vehicle was supposed to come with a tonneau cover, rims, and tires. However, none of these items were included. I had already paid for them twice, once during the purchase and once during the trade-in. Additionally, the vehicle does not have a lift/level feature, even though *** received a "commission" for it. She claimed to have fought for it but received "other compensation" instead.
To make matters worse, the vehicle doesn't have remote keyless entry, but I was charged for a third key fob that I never received. The cost of the fob replacement was $289. I am seeking compensation for these issues, including the parts credit of $682.95, the warranty cost of $4,189.50, the rims and tires cost of $1,050.00, the tonneau cover cost of $495, and the unknown cost of remote keyless entry.
In total, Sherwood Park Dodge owes me $12,144.45. I have filed a case with AMVIC (case number [protected]), but unfortunately, my personal identifiable information cannot be removed from the case.

I got a call from Sherwood Park Dodge out of the blue, asking if I wanted to trade in my vehicle. I wasn't really interested in that, but I thought maybe they would be up for a buy-back instead. Turns out they were open to that idea. On October 15th, we agreed on a price that worked for both of us.
At first, the dealership couldn't give me my payment because it was the weekend. That was alright with me. They asked if I wanted to leave my truck there, but I said no because I wanted to come back on Saturday to fill out the paperwork and get my check. I didn't want to leave my truck without getting paid.
We made a verbal agreement to exchange the check and the vehicle on Wednesday. I texted them early in the morning to confirm the plan, and they said they were looking into it. Then, at 1:00 PM, I got a phone call saying that the manager was out of town and couldn't give me the check for a few more days. They tried to pressure me into leaving my vehicle at the dealership again, even though I still hadn't been paid.
Because of this delay from Sherwood Park Dodge, I started dealing with another dealership and made an agreement to buy from them. We were supposed to pick up the vehicle on Wednesday, but with Dodge dragging their feet and no end in sight for getting paid, it put me in a tough financial situation.

I texted with a salesperson and agreed to give 'em my credit card info and let 'em take a $500 refundable deposit on the truck to hold it for me. But they never took the deposit off my card. Before I made the four-hour drive to see the truck in person, the dealership went ahead and put a levelling kit and box liner on it 'cause I mentioned I might want those if I bought it. On July 27, I finally saw the truck in person. It had scratches and wasn't really what I was lookin' for. The salesperson was rude about it, so I decided not to buy it. I didn't sign any papers and there was no obligation. But the next day, I saw a $1000 charge on my credit card from Sherwood Park Dodge. They never told me about it or got my permission. When I asked 'em what it was for, they said it was for the parts they put on the truck. Every other dealership I've been to waits 'til after the papers are signed to install parts and add the cost to the final price. So now they're chargin' me $1000 for parts I didn't authorize or get any communication or receipt for. The truck wasn't even mine 'cause I didn't sign any papers.

When I took the truck to the dealership, an employee said "another Rebel low rider". They told me that they knew about the ongoing problem with the Rebel models and the air suspension in cold weather. I asked what they were doing about it and they said that *** told them to do the warranty work on the suspension, but after the warranty expired, I would have to pay for repairs. They also told me to contact *** with my concerns. I did, and *** said they had no idea about any suspension issues with the Rebel line, and there was no safety problem or recall. *** My suspension has failed every winter since, including last week. I took it to the dealership, they fixed the compressor and gave me the truck back. I drove for the first time since getting home and the suspension failed again. I tried driving it, but when I hit a dip in the highway, the truck rested on the frame and it affected the steering. I lost control of the truck and swerved into the oncoming lane, almost hitting another vehicle. I quickly turned around and went back home to book another service appointment. My problem is that the dealership knowingly sold me a vehicle that doesn't work safely in cold weather and they're not actually fixing the problem, they're just putting it back on *** who is pretending nothing is wrong. I want Sherwood Dodge to replace the air suspension with a traditional one, which would solve the problem.

The service tech said it was 'cause I hadn't changed the oil on time. They did an oil change, replaced the actuator and intake phaser. They kept telling me to "drive it so the engine gets its timing back." They said it would keep misfiring during this time. They gave me a bill of around $1300 and a Jeep that still wasn't fixed and wasn't safe to drive. They also said my warranty would be restricted 'cause I didn't change the oil on time, even though there was no proof it caused the problem. A week later, I emailed the service advisor to say I was still having the same issues. They just told me to keep driving it and called my frustrations "brutal." I talked to two other mechanics and three other dealerships about what happened. They all said it was "sketchy" to be told to keep driving and they'd never heard of it before. They said driving it more would make it worse. They also said an overdue oil change wouldn't cause the problem and told me to take it to the nearest dealership right away. I went to another dealership and they had another Jeep Gladiator with the same symptoms. Today, they told me a third Jeep came in with the same problem. All the Jeeps are 2020 and the same model. After talking to Chrysler and some engineers, they think the issue is with the Cylinder Head (according to a Bulletin they sent out). They said the symptoms in my Jeep and the others had nothing to do with oil changes. They proved the oil change wasn't the cause.
