I tried to buy a car from this dealership on 10/28
I tried to buy a car from this dealership on 10/28. The next day, 10/29, I went back to cancel the purchase and pay with a different method. The dealership couldn't come to an agreement with my bank and now they won't give back my deposit.
I bought a car and added a warranty for $2000
I bought a car and added a warranty for $2000. Thirty minutes later, I went back to the dealership and asked for the warranty to be canceled. The warranty has been canceled since 10/13 and was backdated for 9/29. However, the $2000 has not been reimbursed. Every time I called or went into the dealership, I'm being told next week for the past four weeks.
I bought a pre-owned car in 2018 last January
I bought a pre-owned car in 2018 last January. Two days after the purchase, the motor light came on. I returned it to the dealer; they blamed the gas cap. It's been serviced three times already! Recently, they revealed the subframe was replaced, hinting at a prior accident. Now, it's costing me dearly - the right axle, differential, and transmission need replacing. With only 22,000 miles on it, I've barely used the car. Despite frequent servicing, they keep finding issues. It seems they refurbish auctioned cars for resale. Sadly, I fell victim to this practice.

On January 22, 2022, I traded in my 2017 sedan for a 2015 luxury series
On January 22, 2022, I traded in my 2017 sedan for a 2015 luxury series. I gave them power of attorney and my ID so they could handle the DMV paperwork. However, they insisted I visit the DMV myself to obtain the title and provide proof to finalize the trade. I complied. Then on 3/19/22, I returned to the dealership for the permanent tags and title since the temporary ones would expire on 3/22/2022. They refused to release the tags or title, claiming they hadn't received the title for my trade-in. Despite fulfilling their requests and authorizing them to manage the DMV matters, I was left responsible. Consequently, I went to the DMV on 3/19/2022 to request a duplicate title, only to discover there was no record of my ownership of the vehicle.
On October 7, I got a call from National Auto of Waldorf and talked to Lenny M***
On October 7, I got a call from National Auto of Waldorf and talked to Lenny M. He told me that I was approved for the 2015 *** and I needed to put $3000 down. So, I went to the store to give them my driver's license and buy the car. When I got there, I paid them $2200 in cash and $800 on my debit card. I left with the car, thinking that I was fully approved and my payments would start on November 21. However, I had some personal problems at work, so I quit without knowing that they hadn't called to verify my information.
I managed to get my old temporary job back and I explained everything to them when it happened. Unfortunately, the dealer couldn't approve me for the $3000 down payment at that time. But since I already had the car, they didn't make me bring it back. Instead, they sent an employee to pick it up. I gave them the address, and they came and took the car. They assured me that I would receive a full refund because it wasn't my fault that I wasn't fully approved and they had let me leave with the car.
Days went by, and I received a check for $576. They had taken a total of $1624 from me because they mistakenly gave me a car that I wasn't fully approved for.
I went to National Auto of Waldorf to get a car, it was financed through an external lender
I went to National Auto of Waldorf to get a car, it was financed through an external lender. I was approved for a 2014 model with a nice interior and no visible damage. A few days after driving it off the lot, the engine light came on. I contacted the dealership and they asked me to return the car for repairs. Meanwhile, I had to rent a car for work as alternative transportation was costly. Five days later, the dealership informed me the car was ready. However, just two days after, the engine light turned on again. I spoke with Ron, a dealer, who assured me they would fix it once more. After another two days, I was called to collect the car. This time, it lasted a week before it wouldn't start. The car was towed back to the dealership. The owner's brother promised to send the car to a specialist in Suitland for repairs but left town delaying the process. The car remained at the dealership for three weeks, during which I spent about $1000 on rental cars. Upon his return, the brother sent the car to the specialist, who then informed me that the car was a lemon, with major issues including the need for a new transmission, radiator, transmission cooler, and transfer case. Additionally, the chassis was corroding. I contacted the dealership to return the car, deeming it not worth the $593 monthly payment over 72 months.
I bought a car from National Auto of Waldorf on October 15, and it's been a real letdown, to be honest
I bought a car from National Auto of Waldorf on October 15, and it's been a real letdown, to be honest. The person who sold it to me was *** and I also dealt with *** who's the Sales Manager and *** who handles the finances. Right from the start, I should've walked away. They advertised a price on ***.com, but when it came time to pay, they wanted almost $10K more than the asking price. I objected to paying so much over the sticker price, and eventually, during the financing stage, they reduced it and said they'd only charge me a "Certification" Fee that comes with all their vehicles. So, my final price went from $37K+ to a little over $30K, including tax, tags, and the certification fee.
I immediately told them that the car's alignment was off because it veered to the left when driven. There was also a lot of road noise that got louder at higher speeds. *** said it might just need a tire rotation. But when I took it to another shop, they told me that one of the tires had a broken band and a bulge across it, causing the noise. Plus, the tires were bald and needed to be replaced. I tried calling *** and *** for over 30 days, but they ignored me because they knew I lived far away (1.5 hours from the shop). They kept putting me off and saying someone would get back to me, especially ***. But I never heard from them, except when I drove 1.5 hours to the shop.
They gave me an *** close to ***, insisting that the car hadn't been in an accident. But after two different independent garages reviewed it, they confirmed that the car had front and back damage from a car accident (Enclosed *** owner report). Conveniently, they ignored me for over 30 days, so the car's 30-day, 1000-mile warranty would expire. They charge consumers $2K for certification, but no maintenance was done on the vehicle. Since I bought the car, I've spent over $1400 on filters, a water pump, and now tires.
