Horribly disappointing | this all starts at the top
Long time customer of Toyota camelback. They have lost my business for life. Had an issue in the service department with disrespectful service manager. Took the time to seek out upper management about the issue and was again treated with lack of respect and empathy.
Katrina Coscarelli reached out to me about my issue and was more concerned with who controlled the conversation than my actual grievance. Mind you this is a higher-level management employee who didn’t even take the time to ask me what happened. Katrina was more confused that I reached out in the first place.
It’s upsetting because I have dealt with multiple sales members who made the car buying experience over the years a breeze for my family.
I personally do not recommend wasting your time or money with this dealership. I will save Katrina or other management the copy and paste reply to this message… yes, we received an initial discount. But not everything in life with customer support is about money. Relationships and a service nature is how you keep people brand advocates instead of haters for years to come.
Recommendation: I highly recommend considering a different dealership
Totally **** after sale support
Totally *** after sale support. I've called several times, been sent to voice mails, leave messages, NEVER a call back in 3 weeks. Then, a *** woman on their main call in line hung up on me 3 times because I said 'DO NOT SEND ME TO ANOTHER VOICE MAIL, I NEED TO SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR'. I guess that was "rude" according to ***' daughter. I drove 3 hours to buy from Camelback Toyota, they could not get the old plate off my trade in because it had star fasterners, said they would get it off and mail it to me. Also, new vehicle did not have owner's manual. I was told that would be mailed to me also. 4 Weeks later, several phone calls, nothing, no return calls or emails, no interest in my at all and I believe they've blocked my phone number, won't even answer calls from me now. This dealership needs serious disciplinary action, pay some fines, something.
Manipulative scum bags peices of garbage all of them bought my first ever car from them within a month I found out it need a transmission struts tires were bad windsheild was cracked they wouldn't replace it back window tint was so messed could not see through it drive shaft was bad lifters are bad I basically bought a *** peice of scrap but since I bought the warrenty I was able to keep it.. lol the insurance has paid more in repairs then I've pay for the warrenty they said it's not there problem. Horrible people and I feel lesser of a person Givin I really wanted/needed the car qt the time. They put add ons to the agreed price just flat out Horrible I wish they'd fire all these people shut the place down THERE ARE 1000S OF BAD REVEIWS
SALES---Wnat you would expect HIGH pressure rude in your face, mostly. So the guy we got for sales was a new guy. We were in the lot talking about cars etc and some 'full-of-himself' manager came up and completely interrupted us and talked over our sales guy and was generally rude. When we got inside our guy (we will call him ***) was new so he had a trainer. The trainer completely cut *** out and anytime I tried talking with *** or to include him the other guy cut in or spoke over one of us. This should have been a sign but I liked the truck. We got through this with the normal lies and attempts to manipulate or etc. *** then was allowed to walk us to finance. This was a fantastic experience the woman was amazing and everything that you should be in customer service, SERVICE--Two weeks after the sale I was on the phone with the service *** I was told that there was a single point of contact and that no other person in the entire Camelback Toyota employment could do anything to help me. This person was not available and I could only leave a message and when he got around to it he would call me back. That is a disgusting and revolting way to run a service department. I was told it was because it was so soon after the sale that he was the only one. It would seem to me that if I need service 2 weeks after the sale that the owner would be on the phone making sure I was taken care of immediately. I finally got the guy on the phone took the car in and they did not provide the rental that was is a part of my contract but they did get me a ride home. They called back in a day and said that nothing was wrong and that I would just have to wait until something more catastrophic happened. I told keep the car drive it like you own it. They said fine. A few days later they called back and said hey so you were right. The transmission does have a problem and your tires are in serious need of replacement, so we are gonna get you new tires and order the pa
I went there twice to try and purchase a Mini Van, only after spending hours at their dealership twice, picking up their calls, texts to simply find out they sold the car to someone else that was "there" miraculously at the same time I was to purchase the vehicle and had a better deal for them. This was the second time they did that to me, not the first, claiming the vehicle is there, had to leave work to make it there in time just for them to sell it to someone else who probably got a c*** deal and they made more money. Really disappointed in their service and customer experience. If you are planning on buying a car, simply avoid this dealership at all costs.
Terrible dealership!
Terrible dealership! Shop somewhere else! We purchased a 2020 ***. But what they sent us home with was a 2019, with none of the features a brand new salesman sold us. You ask why we drove off? They claimed *** System was down and they could not set up the remote start feature or the Apple Car Play, but to come back in a few days and they would help us. That was in November! It is now May and nothing has been done to remedy the situation. They promised to swap out vehicles and somehow the vehicle they had a few months ago, mysteriously didn't work out. My guess would be because they found a buyer and their bottom line is more important than their customers. Although Sean M at Camelback Toyota has been a nice guys, its been months of NOTHING! Camelback Toyota will screw you and will not be in any hurry to help you. IT HAS BEEN ABOUT 6 MONTHS, HALF A YEAR, AND NO RESOLUTION!
Salesman text me 7:15 a.m. saying they have a Tacoma 4x4 off-road coming in I showed up 8:15 a.m. we agreed to a deal term trade & money down signed the paperwork with the sales team said we're just waiting for the truck to arrive said it was in gila bend... To make a long story short it wound up dragging on till about 2:00 p.m. 15 minutes prior to the truck arriving they come up & say another customer's here on the same truck & going to pay 5K MORE, their policy is 1st come 1st serve mind you (supposedly) I asked if he's been there since 8:15 in the morning & then I asked who is the customer? Is he even here? So I got a little loud & started asking around if anybody's there to buy a Tacoma 5K over MSRP? The owner/GM looking like he's about to have a roid rage fit runs up gets in my personal space telling me to get the h*** out of the dealership soon as nobody else is around he calls me a "*** off" & I told him the only thing "*** off" around here is your unethical business tactics. I have bought plenty of new cars over the years I'm 40 years old have an 800+ credit score! To me it was just completely disgusting & supposed to be starting a new job I needed a truck the guy I'm working with gave me the day off as long as I'm showing up the following day with the truck because I've been shopping for a couple weeks (walked out last week cause finance adding ($1,697) onto my loan 4 stuff i don't need & didn't want btw) this is the way I was treated I still have a car that works fine so I'm going to make it but not as proficient as I should be at the job I'm doing. Thank you for reading & my advice is don't
They don't live up to promises for service repair discounts. I brought my Camry in for $2,420 in repairs and was told I would receive a 10% discount ($242). After I paid my ***, I found I received only $150 in discounts, a difference of $92. I made 3 calls to my service advisor and sent him an email requesting a $92 refund and he did not respond to my calls or email. I called his service manager and he did not return my call either. They over promise and under deliver and don't honor their commitments.
GREATEST *** We Only Deal with *** and *** They are the Best Very Trustworthy and HONEST We Would Not Trust Our Vehicles with Anyone Else. We have Known them for Over 17yrs! We Live In the Far East Valley and Drive Passed Other dealerships Because We Know who we can Trust with our Vehicles!
Do not shop here! I bought a used 2019 Tacoma TRDOR with *** miles from them in December. Convinced me to purchase the platinum extended warranty through MPP. Paid $1495 for warranty. When I sold the truck I called MPP about a refund and was told the deal was never done nor was it paid for as the mileage was in excess of the maximum miles. I immediately called *** (Finance manager) to ask about getting this refunded and was told he'd look into it and call me right back. That was three weeks ago with no call back!I have called *** several times since and left messages. Called his boss and the general manager and left all voice mails and no call back. I would not recommend buying anything from this dealer unless you absolutely have no alternative!
Absolutely worst place to lease/purchase a vehicle
Absolutely worst place to lease/purchase a vehicle. If you do business with Camelback Toyota, they will non-stop harass you. I have told at least one dozen employees to stop calling me for months and they continue to harass me with 2-3 calls per week. Always letting me know they have some "really great deals". However, when I tried to buy-out my lease "for over one month now" they refuse to provide me with the buyout details. I have been told several times the "director of sales" will be contacting me and the same "sales rep" calls me back saying he is sorry and they will call me as soon as they can and get me the information. I have taken my car in for the required maintenance asking them to find out what is causing an issue and they "forgot" to look into it and just changed the oil. This place has the worst business ethics of any company I have ever done business with. I will never purchase a Toyota again because of Camelback Toyota and their deplorable ethics as a business and as human beings.
I bought out my leased car and everything was fine till then. I asked finance department to provide my paper work and they asked me to connect to sales guy.I was unable to meet sales guy after waiting for long . I called him and asked him to mail documents. I did keep following him up with him and after 10 days decided to visit office. They kept making me wait saying everyone is busy.I am so fed up and frustrated with the treatment. Just to generate documents and share it with me I am made up to follow up and keep running
I was groomed by a Salesman for three weeks. Acted like my best friend. Told me not to worry about the *** markup. Gave me some story about the sales manager offering him a favor. Then when working up the numbers, included the $5,000 markup and denied ever saying that to me. We walked. Buyer beware. They must teach their salesmen to lie.
Disappointed. Tried to change oil myself today, but oil filter housing is so far tightened, can not remove it and I have the special filter wrench and drain for this job. It was not this way before I took my Tundra in for my free oil change a few months ago. I found this out after already draining my old oil. I called Camelback Toyota to complain and spoke with three separate service advisors. Finally, third one got my name and number and said she would have a manager call me back. Its been over 2 hours and no phone call back. I even went on Camelback Toyota's website and spoke with a person online who said she would have a manager call me back after getting my name, number and email address. Still no response after 2 1/2 hours. Terrible service and terrible customer service. Also, when starting my oil change today, I noticed there was no gasket on the oil drain plug and a s*** was missing (1 of 3) which secures the underside metal plate to its frame. (After last tire rotation service, I noticed 2 of the 4 valve stem caps were missing.) Hard to trust service from this place.
They are scammers! They over charge. *** who works in finance is a sleazy narcissist!
This was the worst customer service experience I have ever had in my entire life
This was the worst customer service experience I have ever had in my entire life. These people will make you jump through hoops. I had to deal witha sales associate who attempted to solicit me and then failed to show up to our scheduled appointment. We were met with a fantastic sales representative by the name of Felipe. He is a wonderful human being but his co-workers are something else. I spent 5 hours at the dealership with one obstacle after the other. Once we settled on having the car shipped to me, I was promised that it would be delivered to my house on Tuesday. Which was an empty promise. Once I got the truck, I was relieved. I was thinking "thank God I never have to deal with these people again". I spoke way too soon. They failed to send the temporary registration tag and the certificate of origin/title. Nothing ties me to this car. I tried getting a hold of a manager and they hung up on me 3 times. If you want "exceptional customer service", don't come here... Or just as for Felipe. But really, this was horrible.
I am extraordinarily dissatisfied with the service department; the service department at Toyota Camelback took a full three days to diagnose my car instead of four hours. After all this delay and unjustified waiting, they decided to clean up my engine carbon which did not reflect any improvement. I paid $387.99, this very surprising and disappointing from Toyota camelback. It was a bad experience and unsatisfactory service. They left the impression that they were inexperienced in diagnosing problems or lied that they did engine cleaning work.customer # *** invoice # ***UPDATE***three days ago I have contacted the email provided from *** maps owner and no one responded. Now I knew why camelback Toyota is #1 in the valley
I bought a 2021 Toyota Sienna from Camelback. They showed me the paperwork for it, which stated that there was a nice *** watt inverter included. (pic below) It was certainly one of the reasons why I purchased it. After a look around the car, I couldn't find it, so the salesman said he was sure it was there, and would help me look for it later. Long story short I made the mistake of buying the vehicle trusting that it was actually there (as it was on the paperwork) and that I just couldn't find it. Well, later on the salesman couldn't find it either... turns out the information didn't match the vehicle. I included a picture of where the inverter should be.They promised to make it right before I left. They said, of course we'll make it right! They told me they would install an inverter for me... then weeks down the road changed that promise to replacing the vehicle with another because apparently they couldn't install an inverter (which I thought was strange, but I went with it)... then weeks later told me that they couldn't help me with the problem. Just too bad. Sorry. Wasn't going to work out. No installation, no replacement, no refund, no refund of the cost of just the inverter. Nothing. I was open to any of these options.I thought, no way! This can't be right. Isn't that the definition of false advertisement? I'll call someone higher up in the chain. After repeated calls, messages left to several people. No one will call me back. No one will offer a solution. No one will help. I have called managers. I called and left messages for *** and *** Spectre. (some high *** No call back. I called directly to Toyota and they sent a special message to the customer service liaison to call me within 24 hours. No call back. Always either not available or don't have the power to help me. It has been MONTHS now. Apparently, once they have your money, you are no longer important to them.
DISHONEST! DISHONEST! DISHONEST!This is the most DISHONEST, DISHONEST, DISHONEST -AND- UNETHICAL dealership I have ever dealt with!I worked with their *** over a week's time. Friday, 9/10, *** (Mgr) called me and told me that the truck I wanted would be in between Sept 13th and the 15th and that the truck was mine since we'd agreed on a price (of course, if someone came in before me and bought it, that could happen) and that he wrote notes in the book that the truck was mine and what the price is that we'd agreed on. *** (Mgr) called me on 9/13 and told me that the truck hadn't come in but should be in tomorrow. He told me that no one else was interested in this truck as far as he knew so it was mine. At 8:15 am this morning (9/14), I got a text from the salesman saying that the truck was in. I questioned him on that because *** (Mgr) called me yesterday and told me that it had not come in. I asked him to double-check because of the conversation I had with *** the afternoon before. At 8:20, the salesman texted me back saying it was for sure on the lot and to hurry in and get it. I was at the dealership at 10:33 am because I was told once they called me I needed to be in within 2 hours or they would give it away. I was told by the salesman that the truck was NOT on the lot (but expected in a few hours). In the meantime, the *** EACH ACCEPTED THE ***andI completed all of the paperwork. I even wrote a check (which the salesman said to hang on to)...I'd even called the credit union and had them transfer the money into the checking account since we were paying CASH for the truck. During this time I was waiting at the dealership, the salesman kept checking on me...told me to go to lunch and they'd reimburse (which they didn't). I was at the dealership from 10:33 to 2:00pm.At 1:45pm the salesman came up with a manager and told me that someone else just showed up and were offering more than we were so unless I upped my price, I'd lose out. DISHONEST, DISHONEST, DISHONEST! UNETHICAL! This vehicle was MINE! I was there first, I had made a deal that was ACCEPTED by MANAGEMENT, and now it was becoming a silent auction! The excuse was, "well with low inventory, this is how it is..." and "different departments were working on it"... that is COMPLETE B.S.! That's THEIR problem, not mine. I was there first, I had been waiting for the truck to come in, AND the deal had been sealed & approved by not only me but by management! This is completely UNACCEPTABLE! DO NOT EVER, EVER, EVER GO TO CAMELBACK TOYOTA. RUN, DRIVE, SPEED, PAST AND GO TO ANY OTHER DEALER!(Upon reading reviews on *** Reviews, they pulled this same c*** with other people on 9/8 & 9/12...so it's nothing new to them to be DISHONEST & UNETHICAL).If Camelback responds and asks me to call *** I will not be doing that. With all of the information I have provided, they can figure out who I am and they can call me and make this right!
Horrible, non-existent customers service! Don't waste your time. After 6.5 hrs at dealership to purchase a used vehicle we were promised the vehicle would be ready in 2 days, then it was 4-5 days. Nobody returns phone calls. NOTHING BUT EMPTY PROMISES. Made trips to dealership for answers only to get more unfulfilled promises. Finally after threatening to get the news media involved we got some movement. Got a call 7 days later to come get the vehicle. Loaded up my kids, all excited to take a ride in a new to us car. Arrived to find out financing still needed paperwork even though we're were told it was done- the exact words were "you're golden". The finance *** knew additional documents were needed 4 days prior and never called, despite a voice-mail we left earlier in the week pleading for communication. But now it was a Sunday and the banks were closed so we could not take possession of the vehicle. We walked away. Our credit took a hit, my kids went home crying and my husband and I were as angry and disappointed as we have been in a long time. Not 1 member of the staff could give a care in the world about us, only cared if we were quiet about our frustration in their showroom. Wouldn't accept a free car from this place if it meant I ever had to go back and talk to such an unprofessional, dishonest group of people.

Bait and Switch, false advertising
Bait and Switch, false advertising. This place is horrible. If you enjoy dealing with the one of the shadiest businesses in the industry, this place is for you. They advertise one vehicle at low price, then show you a similar vehicle at a higher price. You'll waste time waiting for them for "find" the lower priced vehicle while they pressure you to buy the more expensive one. The cheaper vehicle finally made its way out of who knows where and it had been vandalized with about $3k in damages. The salesman actually sent me a video to show me how nice this vehicle was too! Of course the video was of the more expensive car! After we saw the lower priced car, he kindly told me that they won't fix anything on that vehicle since the price reflected the damages. The sad thing is that I was using *** to search for vehicles and this dealership used their platform to run their scam. I've bought several cars over my lifetime and was pretty surprised at how bold they were to execute such a misleading and obvious scam. My assumption would be that eventually they'll overstep their scam process too much and get charged by the ***.

My experience purchasing a new 2021 Toyota Avalon from Camelback Toyota was definitely the worst in all the years I have been buying new cars--and we had previously purchased two new Toyotas from this dealership. We thought we knew what to expect from the two new cars we had purchased here in the past. Nothing could be further from the truth. The first day we were at the dealership, we asked to see a specific car they had on their website--they found the keys, but after two hours of sitting around wasting time, the salesman informed us he could not find the car--we left! The salesman constantly tried to talk over us--did not listen, and had no awareness at all of the covid-19 protocols that should have been followed--we lost count of how many times we had to tell him to put his mask on! After we had purchased the car, the dealership called us the next two nights at dinner time to ask if we still wanted to purchase the car!--The car was sitting in our garage already--they had no clue! It did not do much good talking to the Customer Relationship manager--we even asked her to have the general manager give us a call--even that has NEVER happened; that speaks volumes about their "customer service" concerns (?) and their care of repeat customers.

THEY DO BUSINESS VERY DIRTY and VERY UNETHICAL!
THEY DO BUSINESS VERY DIRTY and VERY UNETHICAL! DO NOT DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.I spent over 2 months working to purchase a Jeep from their used cars *** online in June . It was an UTTER nightmare working with them. The worst dealership of my life. We were passed around from sales agent to different people about 6 times. I have over 40 emails back and forth trying to buy the car. I was in tears a few times with frustration. Spent hours on the phone sometimes waiting. They did a bait and switch with us numerous times after we came to agreement with the sales officer and management. We even had documents signed and they came back and said there were mandatory extra fees like $1000 of paint protection and Camelback Toyota floor mats, and tacked on $1000 sales fee. We had our loan approved by a credit union but they forced me to sign financial documents as protocol. I fought it for days but they wouldn't sell me the car even though they already had a check in hand for the full amount from the credit union. And their financial *** then ran my credit 4 times without my permission! Literally tarnished my credit for 4 years! And when we went to pick up the car after driving 12 hours, they tried to get us to pay extra fees AGAIN (wouldn't release the car, bait and switch!). We waited for hours while management could see us. This was after they had the check in hand and all the paperwork was signed a week previously and the loan and car was a closed done deal! We threatened to make a scene to management so someone would call the cops and lose all their current customers in the building and they shut up, gave us the keys and let us go.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.

3 reviews in their 32 years of existence on Complaintsboard.com tells me that my review is going to be irrelevant and or useless. However, being a pragmatist, I would lay out the experience my non-english speaking friend had. Events timeline: 1) Purchased 2014 *** at 11,297 USD. Any price assessment for a 2014 Compass, with 66k miles would cap off at 10k. The fact that a non-spanish speaking salesman, talked to a spanish only customer, to make the trade must have enabled the over-priced sale. 2) He opts for financing from Toyota Financial Services, and secures a vehicle loan at 5.5%. Yeah, all-time low interest rates do not apply to minorities or non-english speaking individuals at Toyota. Spoiler Alert - Worst is yet to come. 2a) mandatory service contract @ $2269. 3) Buyers Remorse the next morning and tries to return the car. So, the salesman, might or might not have offered the 72 hr exchange, the conversation might very well have happened in sign language and no one knows what the other person might have said. 3a) They take the vehicle as a trade-in. A vehicle valued at 11, 297 the day before, is now valued at (albeit fairly) $9750. 3b) Service contract of $2269 was not refunded or transferred to the new vehicle 3c) Since the other vehicle was registered as a sale and return was considered as a trade-in, the sales tax was not refunded, registration costs were not refunded either. Here comes the wort case that fortifies "FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH FAIR LENDING ACT & PREDATORY LENDING PRACTICES" The INTEREST RATE JUMPED FROM 5.5% to 7.95% OVERNIGHT. THE SECOND VEHICLE was priced way above the appraisal values. Preying on individuals that don't have a means to understand, verify, assess and negotiate is a terrible business model and one that CAMELBACK TOYOTA on 16th Street & Camelback, Phoenix, AZ is engaged in. I openly challenge Complaintsboard.com if their ratings have any credibility (rated at A+) in this specific case. A CFPB case was formally lodged for unfair lending practices and I am helping them spread the word in their communities, so no one else gets preyed upon like them.

DISHONEST!

Spare car keys
I bought my 2023 Camry SE on June 11,2023. At the time of purchase, I didn't get the car's spare keys-the sales agent lied about the spare car keys and told me that they will mail it to me later. Till date, I haven't received it. I tried calling them and was told that they were short on spare keys and will contact me once they have it-which I didn't actually believe but had no choice but to wait and see. I haven't heard back from them in 6 months. I also had pretty bad experiences with some other sales agents there-they are liars.
Claimed loss: Spare Car keys for 2023 CAMRY SE
Desired outcome: I would like to get the spare keys for my 2023 CAMRY SE.
Never paid off lean to motorcycle we traded in. Do not use this dealership!!!
Writing this review for my husband. Do not use this dealership if you decide to trade in a vehicle with a lean! Traded in a motorcycle with a lean towards the purchase of another vehicle and the payment was never sent to the motorcycle lean holder. Camelback states they made the payment to the lean holder and the check was cashed. The motorcycle was not...

Purchased a used 2015 *** Forester On 11/23, Took possession on 11/27 since the windshield had to be replaced and other work needed to be performed as stated on the Dealer WE OWE /EQUIPMENT TO BE ADDED. Also on the list was a second KEY which I have not received. I have tried several times to contact the sales team and Managers but all that I am told is we are working on it. Now when I call no one even Pick up. I did leave a couple of online Complaints. A sales manager calls back and tells me the complaint has been forwarded to the concerned people and they will get back to you. But nothing happens. All I want is the Dealership to give me a second KEY . I have attached a copy of the WE OWE page of the purchase receipt.

The buisness lied to me about the loan amount and then hid that info from me. They ended up covering up the amounts with other papers. I also informed them I did not want the extended warranty but they snuck that back into the contract without me noticing. They also lied about the term length of the purchase. The only thing they did was inform me of a 3% intrest rate, though they did not inform me that there was a almost *** fee for that intrest rate.

Helped my wife purchased a vehicle from camelback toyota Oct 2021 at the time of purchase salesman and his manager stated that zaktek which is a paint protectant had already been placed on vehicle and for that reason I had to pay for it at $499. A few days later I realized I had no paperwork in regards to zaktek or my extended warranty. Got info for both items from service advisor and came to realize that zaktek is only valid with me continuing to take vehicle in for service every 6 months which wasn't stated from the start. Have been asking for proof that zaktek had been applied to my vehicle prior to purchase as stated no one has been able to help. Pics attached not sure how these thing are there if car was properly cleaned and product applied.

I dealt with this business between 12/26 and 1/6/22
I dealt with this business between 12/26 and 1/6/22. They have shady and sleazy business practices and they are taking advantage of consumers. They are not transparent with their pricing and don't honor their prices that are on their own website. They tried to tell me that I HAD to use their own financing in order for me to get a car of them. Forcing someone to use their financing, I am pretty sure that is illegal. They wasted my time and were insincere about turning me away when they sold the car to someone else that was willing to overpay for the vehicle. They sent they sent a manager to come talk to me but he isn't even a manager if you look at their website. They force customers to show up at 7am and then sell the car to the "highest bidder."

I have had two visits to this location for services to my vehicle. Those went fine if not for the typical upselling and inflated prices. But Camelback Toyota has persistently called, emailed, and sent junk mail following those service appointments despite numerous requests to them to stop. I have asked several times through requests on their sites and by contacting their support to remove me which they indicated during the conversations that I was removed.
I bought a SUV from them. Turns out they never took the car to emmessions, the car calic converter had to replaced. They never showed me the original odometer paper. (They sold me a Lemon which is illegal). I went up there and got a different car from them. Now, they never paid off that car that was A Lemon. That charge will be going on my credit report. They failed pay off that car although I signed the paperwork for them to do so.

Was agreed apon through text and verbal from cheneye that there will be no payments for 90 days and I got a bill yesterday in the mail due on the 12th of April. Tried to contact company and took half a day to get back to me. The financial lady rushed us on signing not going over anything and the manager couldn't do anything cause on the contract says 45 days (I didn't receive a copy of this contract) instead of 90 days. She forced us to get a service contract snd I said only if the 90 day no payments and taking my car in for 3k Cheyenne agreed and confirmed all of this. I know I'm prob not gonna be able to get the 90 days just trying to make everyone know that this company is horrible and scammed me by lying and falsifying on our agreement! Would never recommend this company to anyone!
At the time of making the deal over the phone to purchase the vehicle, I was promised reimbursement for travel costs to travel from California to Arizona to pick up the vehicle. Promise was made by phone and text by Bryan H (Business Office Manager) and Felipe H (Sales Manager). I was told that I will be reimbursed immediately after picking up the vehicle but it has now been 2 months since I drove the vehicle over the lot and have not received the check. I have been calling and texting with Felipe/Sales Manager and was told that check was sent but have not received it and now my texts are being ignored. I feel extremely disrespected and discriminated against. Not only did they not send me the check they promised but they also lied to me about the smog check and registration fees. I had to pay for another smog check when I arrived back to California and have incurred additional fees for registration. Further, my previously agreed loan interest rate has now been increased due to the delays in registration and titling of the car. I made an arrangement over the phone to purchase the vehicle but I arrived with my husband who is a black male. We feel that the business has ignored us since the purchase because of my husband's ethnicity and skin color. I am looking to settle for all incurred costs and reimbursement promised: $350 for flights from California to Arizona to pick up the vehicle $70 for the smog check $80 for the cost of travel back from Arizona to California $500 for pain and suffering incurred and registration overpayment
What started off as a great experience is now becoming a nightmare. I had a good sales rep and everything seemed okay. Then I got to the financing. The gentleman was pushy and extremely rude. So rude that I decided not to buy a car from them. Now the dealer is avoiding my phone call in regards to a refund of my partial down payment. Its either un returned phone calls or I get hung up on. I am currently out $1,000 and no one is trying to help. I was at the dealer 05/03. I told them that same day I want my money back. They told me to call on 05/04 to get the refund. Today is 05/06 and I have had zero help.

I had a 7:00 am appointment for service of my 2019 ***. In talking with Mike K he asked me to have the vehicle there by 7:am , I arrived at 6:30 am, i was the second person in the service area. However Mike K was busy and kept me waiting for 10 minutes. I explained what was needed,Mike had chip on his shoulder, which was very apparent. To make a long story short, Mike said thst that it would be 3 to 4 hours, he said that he recommended yhat I go some place and I told him that my wife and I would be waiting at the dealiership. With that he gave me his business card and said I could call him for updates. I called him twice but he did not answer nor did he return the voice mail call thst I had letf for him. I TOLD HIM to bring my car around as I was leaving.. The he wanted me to sign the work mlm order and I refused.

I believe that undisclosed damage was done to my new car either at the dealership, or when the salesman from Camelback drove the car to my home
I believe that undisclosed damage was done to my new car either at the dealership, or when the salesman from Camelback drove the car to my home. When I test-drove the car at the dealership everything was fine (turn signals, brakes, etc.). However, after the car was driven to me at my home and the purchase was finalized, I discovered a problem the very first time I drove my new car. The right turn signal was flashing and clicking much faster than the left turn signal. Upon inspection, there had been damage to the passenger-side front exterior turning lights and bumper. When I discussed this damage with the dealership, they insisted that it must have happened after I took ownership of the car and therefore it was up to my insurance to cover the damage. I am 100% certain the damage happened before I took possession of the car because the car was fine when I test-drove it, but was not fine the very first time I drove it after it was delivered to me.

My experience purchasing a new 2021 Toyota Avalon from Camelback Toyota was definitely the worst in all the years I have been buying new cars--
My experience purchasing a new 2021 Toyota Avalon from Camelback Toyota was definitely the worst in all the years I have been buying new cars--and we had previously purchased two new Toyotas from this dealership. . After we had purchased the car, the dealership called us the next two nights at dinner time to ask if we still wanted to purchase the car!--The car was sitting in our garage already--they had no clue; even Toyota corp response was "Not my Job" "Not our responsibility" Whole experience was this dealership does not give a damn!

I had an appointment with camelback Toyota on June 24 at 8 AM Was looking at a white *** Charger, they gave me the price for the payments. Was a little to high so I left. Later that day I realized I could make those payments, called/texted my sales guy ***. He said he will give me a call the next morning. Got a call from ***. Asked if he could check my credit before coming in and missing work too make sure it will be that price, the day before they said they would be that price happen. He of course said yes he will check my credit and give me a call back. Around 10:30 AM I sent my credit check in through email. Waited hours never got a call back. Later that day a different guy calls asking about a different *** Charger thinking I wouldnt notice. Way higher in price. Seems like they sold the other one I was looking at before they checked my credit. Now it went way down. Would like my credit to go back up. They werent even going to tell me it was sold.

Camelback Toyota charge me without fixing my car Wednesday 9/1, I took my car (*** 4runner) to Toyota dealership after it failed the emission test (code P0440, P0446), and customer counselor (***) told me it will cost $139 for diagnostic, and I agreed with charge. Friday 9/3 Service drive manager (***) called me, and he said we found other issue with your car (charcoal canister leak) and will cost you $1600, after long talk with him, I didnt agree with cost because I already been told the problem and how much will cost me(if I been told will cost me $1600 from the start I will not have them work in my car ). And I said will not pay for you guys wrong diagnostic. Saturday 9/4 I talked to Service drive manager (***), and he admit that they made mistake with diagnostic, and I agreed to pay $425 more so the total of charge will be $850. Monday 9/20 I called Service drive manager (***) and I ask if my car done, and he said NO.

Was seriously so disappointed today with the sales management at this dealership
Was seriously so disappointed today with the sales management at this dealership. At 11am I started working on purchasing a vehicle here, I couldnt get down there for a few hours. When I left my house I was clear about walking in and signing paperwork. Yes, well get you in and out. I had financing, they had all my paperwork (IDs, insurance, finance info), and when I got down there they wouldnt let me purchase the vehicle because someone else was willing to buy with their preferred financing (Toyota financial). We were using USAA. The sales manager said flat out they make more selling to someone using Toyota, so I lost out on the vehicle because I used the better rates provided to my husband and I for him being a veteran. I drove *** and sign for a car, had they set the expectation early on I at least wouldnt have wasted my time. Then telling us to buy with their lender and refinance with USAA, solely so they could make their money. My husband is a disabled veteran having earned two Purple Hearts serving his country, the least they could do is let us save some money using a better interest rate.

We received the minivan back after Camelback Toyota worked on it for the recall with THREE lights on- check engine, vehicle stability control, and traction control. They walked away before we could ask any questions. We brought it back when we could a few days later for this problem and were told it needed a $1000 repair that had absolutely nothing to do with the work they did on it. Why should I have to pay for a $1000 repair when the car was RETURNED to me with all of these lights on? This is the SECOND time this sequence of events has happened. 1- Take the car in for a recall. 2- Receive it back with lights on (and the service person walks away so fast you cannot ask any questions). 3- Tell the dealership I received it back with lights on and then hear I need this sudden expensive repair. It seems too coincidental. They're making sure they get paid when doing these free recall services. We need our car back, so my grandmother is insisting on just paying this large sum of money and giving them their way, but our entire family feels scammed. And yes, this is dipping into a stimulus check we were depending on. There is also NO PAPERWORK that was handed or emailed to them. Recalls essentially force people to go into this business, which has bad reviews, by sending out these postcards that we are at great risk if we do not respond to the recall, and then return the car with problems that were not there before, convincing us that it was just random and it must be the car. It is an obvious scam.

I have worked with Camelback Toyota a few times on new vehicles and many times in service
I have worked with Camelback Toyota a few times on new vehicles and many times in service. Always friendly and previously honorable on prior purchases. This most recent one unfortunately was not and felt deceptive and lacking good morals. It involved a new vehicle that was on shipment for delivery and several false starts when it was to have been delivered. Prior to it being delivered they quoted me an approximate payment on a new lease but did not provide any other details. A day or two after it was supposed to arrive, I get a call from the salesman in the evening that it just showed up and that I would need to rush down to purchase it otherwise it would go to someone else. Once arriving the vehicle was only on one of their lots and not at the main dealership so the y pushed me into doing paperwork. It was deceptive means where I didn't get to see the terms prior to signing and had the finance manager try to shake me down for an extra payment. Fairly disturbed, I almost left but was with my family and tired after having been brought in this late. The signing process was quite deceptive. You sign on a pad, not able to see the contract and not a hard copy. I later found out that they put on a paint protection item that I knew nothing about and hadn't heard of prior and later saw the rest of the terms that had not previously been stated such as the reserve and total cost. The finance manager (mainly) and desk manager (who I didn't meet for more than a second) seemed quite deceptive and unethical in their dealings along with the way I was rushed through the process late in the evening without an ability to review the terms. I never actually saw the vehicle until the next day even though I had to sign something stating that I had.

I brought vehicle to Camelback Toyota on October 29th due to a recall
I brought vehicle to Camelback Toyota on October 29th due to a recall. The advisor told me a technician would do a thorough inspection. Upon inspection the technician notice my rear shocks were leaking and when the advisor brought it to my attention. I brought the vehicle back November 16th for an oil change and to replace my rear shocks. Advisor *** tells me the vehicle will be inspected again. Upon the second inspection Im notified that all four motor mounts need to be replace or it could cause a strain on the vehicle. I agreed to replace them oil change, replacing my rear shock and all four motor mounts costing around $2800.00. I did ask *** why was it not notice when dropped off the vehicle on October 29th and his response to me was which building was your vehicle maintenance at, I said I do not know and he replied advised me that the technician inspect vehicles differently. Fast forward to November 23 when I arrive to pick up my vehicle I notice my infotainment/stereo system has rebooted and it stay that way for approximately 30 minutes. I sent the advisor *** a text message and he said he notice it was on the rebooted screen as he drove it to the destination for me to pick up. I bring my vehicle back and *** is stating that for some miraculous coincidence it stopped working while the car was being worked on there is no way for a fact that the maintenance had nothing to do with the stereo not working. Also, I would need to pay $1100.00 for it to be fixed. I asked for his managers name (*** Altavera) *** advised me that his manager will be delivering my vehicle to me, the vehicle that still does not have a working infotainment/ stereo system. I called *** and left a voicemail to return my call to resolve this matter. My vehicle is still in the service department. I left my vehicle with a working infotainment/stereo system and would like my vehicle back the way it was and the service department is refusing to fix it.

Purchased a pre-owned Chevrolet Silverado 4 door 4WD with undisclosed mileage at Camelback Toyota.
Purchased a pre-owned Chevrolet Silverado 4 door 4WD at Camelback Toyota in April from Salesman Cid. We were assured that all the fluids were new and the mechanics had thoroughly inspected the vehicle before sale. Since purchase, the truck was driven only a short distance. Within a month, the transmission failed. My mechanic reported the transmission was fried due to lack of fluid in the transfer case and it was missing parts, indicating prior work. I contacted Camelback Toyota about a warranty but only received interest in a trade-in from a salesman. After speaking with the new car sales manager, I learned the warranty was only for 3 months. I was promised a follow-up call to address the issue, which never came. Multiple attempts to reach the dealership through texts, emails, and voicemails to various directors were ignored. Now I'm facing a $2700 repair bill due to the oversight at Camelback Toyota.
