ShihtzusForever

I found shihtzusforever when I was 12, and I fell in love with a puppy on the site. I ended up getting this puppy for my 13th birthday. He was a perfect little angel and still very much is, but within the first day, we noticed that something was wrong. He refused to eat the puppy kibble that the breeder specifically said she fed him, but there is no way that could've been true, because he refused to eat until he ended up at the emergency vet after only being with us for 2 days. We switched him to a canned food (he's a picky eater to this day, he needs his specific fresh food or he won't eat). After we finally got him eating good, we learned he was prone to vomiting. If he didn't get his meals on time, he would vomit. If he ate ANYTHING, and I mean anything, other than his food and water, he would vomit (this is still true). He would often vomit for no reason, and it became a common event for me to wake up to vomit all over his bed. We took him to the vet multiple times, but to this day, no one knows what's wrong with him. We were finally able to resolve the vomiting almost completely by giving a probiotic powder with his food, at almost double the dose for his size. The vet said this was safe since the dose for a dog his size wasn't doing anything. A few years after we got him, I finally figured things out. The breeder had already admitted to giving her dogs green beans and rice from the table as snacks, so that explains the picky eating. But then I came across a post on the breeder's Instagram where someone in the comments asked what she feeds her dogs. She still swore by the same kibble, but then I noticed something else. She said, "I also give my dogs and puppies milk and cream every day." So the mystery was explained, and his vet confirmed that giving a puppy cream and milk every day, probably since he was weaned, will one hundred percent mess up their stomach. On another topic, she refused to show us a pedigree of any sort, simply claiming that there's no need to worry since her dogs come from a long line of pure bred Shih Tzus. And my dog is bow legged in the back and unable to jump onto anything higher then about 3 inches. He even needs a ramp to get up onto our front porch (we have 3 steps). That suggests improper breeding. He is also extremely prone to tiny, pimple sized cysts all over that come and go. At the moment I believe he has around 10. So basically, he's adorable and has the best personality, but he's probably the most unhealthy dog I've ever witnessed.

I gotta say, I got myself a pup from ShihtzusForever and I couldn't be happier. These guys really know what they're doing. They're pros, no doubt about it. I'm so glad I found them and was able to get my little fur baby from them. They really do their job well. I mean, my pup is healthy, happy, and just the cutest thing you've ever seen. I'm so grateful to have found ShihtzusForever and to have been able to use their services. If you're in the market for a Shihtzu, these guys are the ones to go to. Trust me, you won't regret it.
