Be careful when buying from Shottenkirk Desert Lexus
Be careful when buying from Shottenkirk Desert Lexus. Their selling tactics are shady. They kept pushing us to buy unnecessary maintenance warranties and other useless stuff. They didn't honor their own $500 voucher for purchasing a car from them, and they won't give a proper explanation for their deceitful behavior. Their selling practices are completely out of control. If you happen to meet the manager, Kyle, be prepared for him to easily get angry if you decline their maintenance warranty and additional charges. He even yelled at me once, which is unbelievable. It's hard to believe that this dealership is associated with Lexus. I feel sorry for the employees who have to deal with someone like him running the place. It's a complete joke.
We got a law that says we gotta wear masks in the city and state
We got a law that says we gotta wear masks in the city and state. I went to this car place to get my oil changed like normal. They told me to wait in the lobby. The person working on my car wasn't covering her nose in a small space. In the lobby, I saw lots of people, even customers, the boss, sales guys, cashiers, and mechanics, not wearing masks in tight spots. They only put on a mask when they talked to me face to face. This virus is all about breathing, and it hangs in the air. I told the boss, but they didn't do anything to make it safer. I had to take a cab and go home to wait, so I wouldn't be in that dangerous and against the law place. It cost me money and was a big hassle. No customer should feel like they're in danger at a business. Desert Lexus should be ashamed and get fined.
I bought a 2019 Lexus GS F from Shottenkirk Desert Lexus on 3/10
I bought a 2019 Lexus GS F from Shottenkirk Desert Lexus on 3/10. I've had a few issues with the car, like it seems someone worked on/painted it. The taillights ain't the right ones for the 2019 GS F model and ain't working right. My local Lexus service department told me this. I found out the taillights weren't right when I got a fixit ticket 'cause the reverse lights weren't lighting up. Turns out the lights were loose and not the right model. The taillights on the trunk weren't connected 'cause they were from an older Lexus model that needs a bulb, not the LED that belongs on the 2019 Lexus. I emailed 4 managers and talked to one, but they ignored me. Lexus Corp said it's not their problem 'cause it's a private dealership. It's against the law to sell a car without the external light working, and that's exactly what they did.
o the managers again
o the managers again. After a short while, she came back and said that they would honor the original agreement and sell us the car for the agreed-upon price. We were relieved and proceeded to complete the paperwork.
Overall, our experience with Shottenkirk Desert Lexus was frustrating and disappointing. The initial interaction with Maggie was pleasant, but the behavior of the managers, especially Kyle, was unprofessional and disrespectful. It seemed like they were trying to take advantage of us and play games with the pricing. However, we appreciate Maggie's efforts in resolving the situation and ensuring that we got the car for the agreed-upon price.
In terms of the car itself, we are satisfied with our purchase. It was in good condition and met our expectations. The dealership did a decent job of detailing the car before we took it home.
Despite the negative aspects of our experience, we are happy with the end result and the fact that we were able to purchase the car we wanted. However, we would caution others to be cautious and double-check all agreements and prices before finalizing any deals with Shottenkirk Desert Lexus.

I bought a car from Shottenkirk Lexus on 8.13.21 for $27,500
I bought a car from Shottenkirk Lexus on 8.13.21 for $27,500. When I got the car, I found out it needed $2,500 worth of repairs for a leaky transfer case and a busted right rear shock. I've been trying to get in touch with Shottenkirk Lexus for like 50 times, both by phone and email, but no luck. They need to take responsibility and get it fixed.
I had a problem with the vehicle I bought from Shottenkirk Desert Lexus
I had a problem with the vehicle I bought from Shottenkirk Desert Lexus. There was a safety issue with the front passenger side tire, and it was sold to me like that. I got it inspected by a fancy dealership, but they didn't fix it.
Another issue is that they promised to give me a check for my trade-in within three days, but it's been a whole week and I still haven't received it. When I asked for the General Manager's number to complain, they refused to give it to me. They haven't even bothered to reach out to me about this problem.
Whenever I call them, they just hang up on me. It's really frustrating.
I bought a car in November and they didn't tell me it had been in a big accident
I bought a car in November and they didn't tell me it had been in a big accident. I only found out when I tried to trade it in and the dealership said they couldn't give me the same price they originally quoted because of the accident. So I left and talked to a manager at Desert Lexus, Sergio. He said he couldn't help me and wouldn't take the car back. Now I owe more than $10,000 because the car is worth less.

Befor purchasin my vehicle, I askd if any paintwork was done
Befor purchasin my vehicle, I askd if any paintwork was done. They said no. But turns out, the whole front and left side were redone. I got a video sayin there was no paintwork. Lexus history shows it was in an accident and fixd. I askd about this before buyin and they flat out lied.
In September 2022, I asked them to cancel a maintenance plan I bought for a new car 'cause they never sent me the papers and my local dealership
In September 2022, I asked them to cancel a maintenance plan I bought for a new car 'cause they never sent me the papers and my local dealership don't have no record of the plan. They (A***) emailed me sayin' they gonna cancel it and give me a refund on my loan through L *** in 2 business cycles. It's been 6 cycles now and still ain't got no refund. I done sent 'em emails and left voice mails but ain't heard nothin' back. I'm startin' to think they sold me a plan that ain't even real.
I bought a car on 5/4 from Shottenkirk Desert Lexus
I bought a car on 5/4 from Shottenkirk Desert Lexus. Kyle helped me out since I live far away. He and the others told me the car was like new and had a clean car fax. But after I bought it, I noticed that the trunk lid is dented. I sent them pictures right away, but they won't help me fix it. Their response seemed tricky to me. They said I bought the car "as is." I paid more than 26K for this car. They never told me it was "as is" and they said I had a warranty and I signed for it. The car isn't worth as much as they said because of the damage. I just want them to fix it like they promised. I'm an older woman on my own, and they were not honest with me during the whole process.
On 9/27, I aimed to purchase a 2010 Lexus from Shottenkirk Lexus, at an undisclosed location
On 9/27, I aimed to purchase a 2010 Lexus from Shottenkirk Lexus, at an undisclosed location. The used car salesman offered me a test drive and a weekend trial without signing any agreement. Upon returning the car due to my wife's disapproval, I was informed that it was too late as the car was 'registered'. Despite my loan rejection, the bank found a high-interest alternative. The dealership's buyback offer was $5,000, exploiting my older age, even though the car wasn't registered until 10/25.
Im filing this complaint cuz they aint honorin our approved $500 voucher towards a car/unit purchase like they said in the email they sent us
Im filing this complaint cuz they aint honorin our approved $500 voucher towards a car/unit purchase like they said in the email they sent us. Me (***) and my hubby *** (***) *** was lookin for a car so I had my hubby email this dealership for special deals and shortly after they sent us an email to my hubby with a $500 voucher to come in and buy a car with them. My hubby reached out to them on the phone textin back n forth givin them all the necessary info. My hubby asked if he and I can be on the contract and they said yeah so we both approved them to run both our credit reports. They left my hubby's name off the contract but still went ahead with the deal without him. They asked us for a down payment which my hubby gave them his credit card info over the phone paid them usin his credit card and we picked up our car a couple days later. When I got home, I went through my contract and realized they didn't discount the car usin the $500 voucher. I had my hubby email *** and also call him. My hubby was on the phone with them and to his surprise they were tryin to resell him the extended maintenance package again that we had said no to. The manager *** was screamin at my hubby and not givin us a clear reason why they didn't honor the $500 and *** told my hubby he aint gonna write us a check for $500 and they declined all our calls after. My hubby was part of the deal from beginning to end and they kept makin all these excuses why the $500 voucher aint valid. The text messages and email I've attached clearly mentioned that they know my hubby, *** (***) and I, *** was gonna buy a car from them with one or both of us on the contract.
I bought a car from their online stock
I bought a car from their online stock. I paid about 35% more than the blue book price, which was fine with me based on the car's description. It had really low mileage, a car I liked, and the two sales reps assured me that it had gone through their strict inspection and was in great condition. I know that used cars are sold "As-Is," but they should have mentioned that. When you buy online, you have to trust the dealership to be your eyes and ears. I trusted them, but I was terribly deceived. Nobody bothered to tell me that the car had body damage. The online photos didn't show it. When the truck arrived to pick up the car, the driver noticed that the driver side rear panel had body damage. He recorded it on a diagram, and the Lexus dealer person, Robert, was well aware of it. I found out about the damage from the driver and saw it for myself when it was delivered to me in Idaho. The two people I dealt with at the dealership, *** and ***, either intentionally or unintentionally failed to be honest and disclose this major issue. They never even hinted at the body damage. So, what do I do now? I contacted both *** and ***, but they no longer respond to my messages. I suggested that the fairest way to handle this would be for me to go through my insurance and for the dealership to cover my $500 deductible. I still lose when you consider the frustration, time, inconvenience, and the impact on my insurance. By the way, *** admitted that he knew about the pre-existing damage because his "crew said they could buff it out," and someone lied to him. (Everyone lied to me by not telling me) So far, they have only offered me $250 ($125 from each *** and ***) towards the deductible. *** also told me to sell the car if I'm not happy. In the end, nobody at the dealership is willing to make things right after deceiving me. I feel really bad about this purchase. I love the car, but I hate being bullied, deceived, and taken advantage of. I'm 67 years old.
Me and my fiance went to Shottenkirk Lexus on September 27th to try out a couple of cars
Me and my fiance went to Shottenkirk Lexus on September 27th to try out a couple of cars. A salesperson named Sean Marchese came up to me. I told him I was interested in two cars, a Toyota Camry and a white 2009 BMW 328i. He said the BMW was better. I test drove it and thought it was alright for a 12-year-old car. Sean said, "We don't sell BAD CARS." We decided to buy it for $9698 with a $2000 down payment. We both signed the loan. We applied for the loan and Sean said they were "negotiating the rate with the bank." We had a 12% interest rate, but they were trying to lower it. After 10 minutes, he said if we bought a paint and interior package for $2500, our interest rate would go down to 6%. We reluctantly agreed, thinking we had no other choice. We finished the paperwork with the finance manager Julian and left. The next day, I called Lexus financial, who gave us the loan, and they said they don't finance based on contingencies. Our 6% rate was the real rate, and the dealership made up the part about the $2500 package being mandatory. I decided to go back to the dealership to confront them. When I pulled into the parking lot, a warning light came on and my car died. The service manager, Reuben, checked it out and said it looked like I ran out of gas, even though the dash said I had 76 miles left. He said it might be a bad fuel level sensor. I asked them to fix it since I just bought the car and it's a safety issue. The sales manager, ***, refused to help. I took the car to a BMW dealership and they found oil leaks and 8-year-old tires, among other things. They sold me an unsafe car, I want my money back!
