I gotta say, I was pretty stoked about my Silhouette America machine. It was doing everything I wanted it to do and more. But then, like a bolt from the blue, I ran into some trouble. And let me tell you, it was not a good time. I tried to reach out to customer service, but it was like trying to find a needle in a haystack. No phone numbers to call, no chat to use, and no responses to my repeated requests for help. It was like they took my money and ran, leaving me high and dry.
Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that Silhouette America is a bad company or anything. I mean, I still love my machine and all the cool stuff it can do. But when it comes to customer service, they really dropped the ball. It's like they don't care about their customers once they've got their money. And that's just not cool, you know?
So, if you're thinking about buying a Silhouette America machine, just be aware that if you run into any issues, you might be on your own. But hey, if you're willing to take that risk, then go for it. Just don't say I didn't warn you.

I gotta say, I've been using Silhouette America for a while now and I'm on my third cameo 4. I gotta admit, I really like the machine. It's pretty sweet. But let me tell you, their customer service is a bit of a letdown. You can only email them and they don't even bother to reply. I mean, come on! I emailed them about some credits I purchased from their store but never received. It's been 10 days and still no reply. I even emailed them again 2 days ago and still nothing. This ain't the first time I've had this kind of experience with them. It's a real bummer. I think I might have to switch over to Cricut instead. They seem to have better customer service.

About a year ago, I purchased a Silhouette 4 Plus and it was working great until it suddenly stopped functioning. I tried everything to get it back up and running, but it was completely dead. I contacted Silhouette America and provided them with a video and all the necessary information, but after sending seven emails, I received no response. It was clear that there was a defect in the machine, but I was left with no solution.
To make matters worse, there are no contact numbers available and the warranty was of no use to me. I am now out of a machine and $549.00 plus dollars. I am extremely disappointed with Silhouette America and their lack of customer service. I would advise others to stay away from this company and their products.
Poor Customer Service Experience with Silhouette America: No Response to Multiple Emails
I gotta say, I ain't too happy with the customer service over at Silhouette America. I done sent them four emails and ain't heard a peep back yet. I done bought the business version of Studio 3 software and was using it on two of my devices. But then I went and sold one of them, so I deactivated the license key. Now I wanna use it on my new Mac, but it keeps saying I already been using it on too many devices. I been asking for their help for a whole week now, and still ain't got no reply. It's really bumming me out, ya know?
Disappointing Inkjet Printable Heat Transfer Paper from Silhouette America: Waste of Money and Poor Customer Service
I recently bought two sets of inkjet printable heat transfer papers from Silhouette America, and I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed. I followed the instructions to a T, even setting a timer for the recommended two minutes, but the image just didn't transfer over at all. I tried three different t-shirts, but all my attempts were in vain. I wasted a whopping $70 on this product, and now I have a bunch of useless garbage that's just gonna end up in the landfill.
I reached out to their customer service team, hoping for some kind of resolution, but all I got was a form response. They accused me of not following the directions correctly, which is just plain ridiculous. I did everything they told me to do, and yet the product still didn't work.
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend Silhouette America to anyone. Their product is crap, and their customer service is even worse. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this company at all costs.
Silhouette America Cameo 4 Plus Review: Buyer Beware!

I decided to upgrade from my Cameo 3 to a Cameo 4 Plus in late February of this year (2020). I bought it for $399 on smile.amazon.com, and I was excited to start using it. However, after a month or so, it started to give inconsistent results. I contacted Customer Service many times, but they were not helpful. I asked for an exchange, but they did not respond.
I had to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau before a Supervisor reached out to me to set up an exchange. They asked me to pay for the shipping, which cost me $65. They promised to send me a new cutter right away, but now they are telling me that they are behind on shipping due to Covid-19. They cannot tell me when I will receive the replacement.
I have spent $465 on this machine, and I have nothing to show for it. Half of my business is at a standstill during a pandemic, and we use the machine for supplemental income for my terminally ill husband's medical needs.
Silhouette asked me to send them videos of the machine not working, and I sent them many. In one video, I even showed them my husband and pleaded for their help. I also sent a direct email and a LinkedIn message to the VP of sales and others in the company, including the videos. However, I did not receive any response from them.
I regret staying brand loyal and wish I had bought a different brand. Many other people online are saying that they have been burned by this company as well. It's sad that they are allowed to operate this way.
I am very disappointed with Silhouette America. They do not care about their customers. I advise you to buy any other brand instead of this one.
Silhouette Design Studio Blocked My Email Accounts - Unacceptable Customer Service
I've been using my Silhouette Cameo 4 for a couple of years now and I gotta say, it's been a pretty smooth ride. I haven't had too many issues with it, and when I did, the customer service folks were pretty helpful. I had to cancel my design store subscription once, and they were on point with that. I've had to reach out to them a few times for minor issues, but they've always been sorted out just fine.
Now, I know some companies have customer service that's not quite up to par, but when a company goes and BLOCKS someone's EMAIL ACCOUNTS, that's a whole different story. And that's exactly what happened to me with Silhouette Design Studio. They blocked not one, but TWO of my email accounts when I reached out to support. Like, what the heck, man? Now I'm worried that if I run into any problems in the future, I won't be able to contact anyone because someone decided to do this.
I didn't send any threats, didn't call anyone names, didn't act in any ill intent, and didn't speak out of line. I was just having trouble with my library being wiped out, and I was pretty upset about it. I sent three separate emails explaining my steps and where I was on my end to fix it at that time. I got a response from a guy named Alex Russell the first time, but then no one answered after that. And then I started getting undeliverable email messages. I tried another account, and the first email went through, but then the rest were blocked. I even tried reaching out on the physical site, but all I got was a response about restarting my subscription. When I asked about my email problem, I got blocked again.
As a company, this is just NOT ACCEPTABLE. I have zero tolerance for this kind of behavior, and it's outrageous that it's happening. I'm not one to stay quiet about things like this, and I'm definitely going to be posting about it in other places too. I hold high standards for customer service, both from my time in school and from my jobs. I've seen bad customer service before, but this takes the cake. Blocking a customer for no reason other than not resolving my issue is just not right. It's childish, and downright selfish, especially considering how much their customers pay for these units.
Moving forward, I'm going to be placing resources to make sure that all this info about Silhouette machines and products is available in stores too. People need to know what they're getting into before they invest their hard-earned money into something like this.
