I have had my car since late February and I have paid every payment ON TIME
I have had my car since late February and I have paid every payment ON TIME. I recently had to take FMLA leave from work for a serious medical emergency which resulted in some loss of pay/no paychecks for a few weeks. I have asked Skopos for a deferred payment but I'm told that they don't do that AT ALL. They just set up a payment plan which consists of them calling you every few days and harassing you for the money. I don't know what they don't understand about the phrase "I HAVE NO MONEY RIGHT NOW." and I most definitely hate to have to say it but it's what it is right now. Skopos seems to be very unsympathetic to their customers situations and excellent payment history obviously means nothing to them. Avoid Skopos as a financing company if you can.

I purchased a car through Skopos financial ,LLC on 18/07 and my first payment was on 08/28
I purchased a car through Skopos financial ,LLC on 18/07 and my first payment was on 08/28. Since then I paid always on time and changed my due date twice in 6 years. I was told that they don't charge for changing due date. But somehow they charged me for late fee 7 times of $33.04 and one time $224.61 without explanation. I signed for 72 months contract and paid for 74 months. I'm contacting the company since January fix the error on my account. They stated I only contacted them on 02/07/2022 which is not true. They didn't bother to check my account and still asking for monthly payments of $660.88 for $8.24 balance. I'm asking the complaintsboard.com to investigate this company. I attached the supporting documents. Please count the my payments by hand.

On 9/8 we paid our payment of 595.00 which is what reflected as owed with 9 months remaining on the loan. On 9/10 we checked to be sure the payment went through it said we owed 8000+... we received a call they said it did not matter what the app said we owed the amount completely within 120 days. Due to maturity. We have a couple of loan extensions, thus it extended the load date. I would like to pay the loan in the 9 months it stated we had left not in 120 days!
Skopos Financial has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The falsely report negative credit reporting to credit bureaus. They reported my auto loan as a charge off and loss to credit when they was overpaid and I received a refund check directly from them. Also one month I called in to make an additional payment to the principal it was never applied. That issue never was resolved.I do not recommend anyone to use this company.
2018 I bought a new vehicle
2018 I bought a new vehicle. I made no payments on the one financed through Skopos expecting a repossession. In may I called and spoke with a lady to told me to sell the vehicle due to it costing more to pick up the vehicle than what it is worth. Continuously since 2018 they have reported 38 90day late payments to my credit refusing to come pick up the vehicle. Trying to intimidate me into making a payment. Filed a complaint with Texas consumer credit commissions on may 15 then on june 14 they have issued a repossession but refused to do this before. They keep advising they couldn't get in contact with me but I have been calling since 2019 and confirming information every time I have called. It is now july 7,2021 and I am still in possession of the vehicle. They only want the money not the vehicle and it is making my credit score low.

My car was totaled on 3/23 and paid off in full by May 7th. In between receiving check from my insurance company and waiting on GAP to cover the rest I paid what I knew what I would owe based off of the numbers that were given to me. In between this period of time they reported to the credit bureau that the account was closed and charged off as bad debt which shows now as a derogatory mark on my credit. They also have me as missing payments on 4/21, 5/21 and 6/21 for a car that has been paid off in full, I even received a check from them because I over paid what was due to them. Please update credit agencies with correct information
I have been paying my auto loan payment ON TIME since September. I have never made a late payment. I called today to try to get my 24% interest rate lowered just to be told they don't refinance and the representative told me I should pay more money per month. I will be looking to refinance with a different company since I cannot get a lower interest rate.
I have no late payments on my credit report for Skopos but they marked as charge off even though they have received a check from my car insurance company. My son was in an accident that totaled his car through no fault of his own. Our insurance company had to pay because the other driver left the scene of an accident. They sent a payoff check to Skopos. Skopos then submitted a report to all credit bureaus stating it was a charge off and caused my credit score to drop 120 points. When contacting Skopos they stated this is their policy and that in 30 days they will correct the credit bureau reporting. This process seems unfair. Luckily I had already purchased a replacement car because with a charge off on my report I wouldn't have gotten approved.

Skopos financial has only reported 40 payments since March which is when my account was opened on a 72 month loan
Skopos financial has only reported 40 payments since March which is when my account was opened on a 72 month loan. I have in all paid 61 payments of $293 total to date. Total paid $17,873, on a car loan that is suppose to be $11,036 and a interest fee of 25.49%. Which I know is RIDICULOUSLY high. They are stating on my credit report that I still owe a balance of $7,072! Hos is this even possible? Over 13K in interest? This cannot be correct and have to be scamming somewhere. I have called to resolve this updated account and balance, and no one can help or even figure out what is going on, or where the truth lies. I have tried to email the CEO Mr. Tomei but cannot get ahold of a "higher up" either to resolve any matters. I do not ever recommend this company not only for the EXTREME interest rates but also the factoring of payments paid and payments owed do not add up.

Suddenly there are additional $200.00 in fees added to my monthly statement with no explaination of what they are for. So far this has accumulated to an additional $1,000.00 in 'other charges'. My lending documentation indicates nothing concerning additional fees being added suddenly to my balance. I have requested an explanation, but none has been provided. My account number is XXXXXX11001.

I've emailed them regarding my situation and they state they never got it, and that either way they will keep calling. My wife called a few days ago and was hung up on. The car needed an engine rebuild and I've spent $4507. I sent one email back in October and I sent the following email today with the receipt of my repairs as proof, and just want a solution to keep my car in as good standing is I can Hello, Hope this email finds you well. This is in regards to account # XXXXXXXXXXX. Please be advised that I have been unable to make the past due payment from 10/06 because of the vehicle having mechanical issues. I just spent a total of $4507.00 in repairs due to engine issues. I have attached the invoice as proof, and have set a $300.00 payment scheduled to be transacted this Friday 12/10 in an effort to catch up. I will attempt to make more if the opportunity presents itself.

I went on their web site to see how much I owed and after paying $400 (more then the payment was) a month for 6 years they say I still owe almost $11,000.00. They say I have paid payments for years and before they answer that's right if that's all they have to say I will see them in court because that's not true. The rep told me every time I was late on a payment they raised the interest rate and that's illegal. There is no way I would still have the car if I missed years worth of payments so that's not true. I want to know EXACTLY how they came up with that answer and because the rep wouldn't tell me what my interest rate was I want to Know that as well. A rep also special needs son who has no immunity to go run down to the corner store and get another card they could take for my payment! We were in the middle of a pandemic and my son had an iq of 69! It wasn'ta prepaid card it was linked to my bank account.

I was told by Skopos Financial that I had a final car payment with them in 2019 and made the payment to receive the title. I didn't hear back from them to receive the title. Flash forward two years later, I find out that Skopos reported me for an open, default loan that was 900 days past due and is trying to charge me $2500 to settle it. Mind you, Spokos never contacted me or came to get the car in the 900 days that they claim that I had not paid because I was told the car was paid for. They said that I made 74 out of 76 payments and for some reason didn't contact me over the two years to straighten it out because they charged it off. Instead of rectifying the problem, they are now debating whether or not to accept the settlement that I offered because they seem to want to continue to try to fraudulently charge this. Skopos was *** to try to let this continue to happen if I never would have found out about this!

While checking my most recent credit report, I noticed credit inquiries that I did not authorize, made by your company
While checking my most recent credit report, I noticed credit inquiries that I did not authorize, made by your company. while checking my most recent credit report, I noticed credit inquires that I did not authorize, made by your company. I recently received a copy of my credit report. The credit showed two credit inquiry by your company that I d not recall authorizing. I understand that you shouldn't be allowed to put an inquiry on my credit file unless I have authorized it. Please have this two inquiry removed from my credit file immediately because it is making it very difficult for me to acquire credit. I have sent this letter through complaintsboard.com because I need your prompt response to this issue. Please be so kind as to forward me documentation that you've had the unauthorized inquiry removed. Paid off vehicle before the agreed time frame and i still received a 60 *** late payment on my credit report
Paid off vehicle before the agreed time frame and i still received a 60 *** late payment on my credit report. I purchased a vehicle through this bank in 2014 for 72 months. My loan matured 12/9 i was unaware of this so in 01/9 i continued to make my payment as usual. I was not a aware that my loan had matured So i got hit with a 30 day late payment on my credit report. When i called them they said i had to pay the remaining balance of $3500 at Once. When i spoke to them they said if i paid them off that same day it would not show up on my credit report as 60days past due so i paid them off completely. It is now march 1st and i just received my new credit report and they reported the vehicle as 60days past due even though it is payed off. I called them and they pretty much said it isnt there problem and that i should try to dispute it with the credit Bureaus. All this happened while im in the middle of buying a home now i not sure if i can anymore. Thanks alot liars. If you are a consumer DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! If you are a dealership do not use them to approve your customers as they have terrible business practices.

I decided to open a consolidation loan for $9,000 with Skopos Financial (or also know as Springlight Financial) in late December and I was funded in mid-January. At the time I was about to sign the documents, I was contacted by a representative to go over the final details and I asked about early payoff? The representative said "the great thing about Springlight is we do not charge a penalty for early payoff." I was asking this question because I was possibly going to get financial support from a family member. A few days after my loan was funded, my brother contacted me and said he would be happy to help me with my consolidation so I decided to pay back the loan so Springlight. When I contacted them to pay off the $9000, I was told that my balance was now over $9800! This additional $800 appeared immediately but I was told there would not be any penalty for early payoff this $800 is horribly excessive and it goes against their original statement and promise. I have since paid the $9000 in full but it's a very unfair business practice that I have an outstanding balance of $800. This is very hurtful to a consumer who is trying to work on paying their debt and overcoming a terrible situation for the past two years pandemic, medical bills, loss of job, etc.

During this world pandemic skopos is charging clients huge amounts of lates
During this world pandemic skopos is charging clients huge amounts of lates. Which are almost more than the car payments themselves. Please investigat Currently I have a late fee of $241. Everyday that clients are late they add more interest of late fees. There is a world pandemic going on and some of us are just starting to get back to work. Who can afford this. It's completely unjust! This company needs an investigation done immediately. If my car payment is $383 per month with late fee of $241 I'm almost paying two car payments at once while not being able to work due to a world pandemic. So many of us have been affected by this pandemic financially and for this company to take advantage of us with late fees and added interest to a late fee is absolutely ridiculous. I requested 4/10 to have these late fees removed and a manager was supposed to get back to me, well I waited and no one called and now it's June. My account number XXXXXXXXXXX Currently they are looking for me to pay $1,026.79 by June 25,2020 Take into consideration my car payment is $383 per month. This is may payment and June payment. Which you can imagine all the late fee that has been added. Online it's says late fees of $260 on a bill I was sent the late fees say $240. They change everyday depending on how much they want to add to your account. I'll enter a copy of what online looks like.

skopos agreed to a voluntary repossession and then never picked the car up
skopos agreed to a voluntary repossession and then never picked the car up. been almost a year. keep hitting my credit, told me never mind I called Skopos in March and requested a voluntary repossession due to a tag issue, I was told ok.. that they would get the papers in the mail to me to sign and we could begin the process. I never received those papers. I called a couple weeks later to tell them and at that time, told them, if they would take my co-signer (whom has a lien on their name/this car) off the title (like the tag office said they could) but not the lien, so I could register the car, that I would keep the car and keep paying on it. to this they said they would not do it, so I said, then go ahead with the voluntary repossession. again they said they would get the papers out to me to start the process. they never did. I again called back and told them and they said never mind.. we are not going to pick the car up, it's not worth anything to us and that I just have to pay for the car. This car has been sitting in my yard waiting for them to pick it up. (as originally planned almost a year ago) I kept transfering tags onto it but ran out of tags. it cannot be registered therefore it cannot be driven. the transmission is broke and the tow company that has my co-signer put on lien does not want the car. they are eating my credit up every month for no reason. This was an Agreed Voluntary repossession set up with (D williams and the manager at Skopos) and me. Thank you for your time

I am attempting to receive a daily accounting of interested being charged on account and the company is refusing to provide it
I am attempting to receive a daily accounting of interested being charged on account and the company is refusing to provide it. 1) After several requests for documentation of how much interest is being charged/ has been charged on a daily basis on my loan account, Skopos is refusing to grant such documentation. I believe there is a computation issue and am asking for proof that the correct amount of interest (in dollar and cents) is being applied daily. The response I have received over several months of request, is that they "do not keep that level of records", which is unacceptable for a finance company. After noticing that none of my last 4 payments (which were all to varying degrees over the minimum) has gone to principal and when asked about it, none of the representatives have known why. Requests have been sent to the accounting department by the customer service representatives, but all I have received is a payment history which I can obtain directly from the website myself. 2) Additionally, I made a payment via my online banking service that was confirmed delivered on 07/01. I spoke with an advisor on 07/02 who stated that the payment did not show received, but that due to Covid the mail is only being checked intermittently. He assured me that the payment would be properly posted, however it did not get posted to the account until 07/03. 3) The online banking forum that not accurately reflect payments, making it difficult for clients to know what the status of the account is. (See image) My account is not past due, yet it shows a past due amount $424.30. And then, in one section it says no $0 payment due and on the same page $281.48 due. When I spoke with customer service (again) on 08/19, I was advised that the account is not past due.

This is the worst of the worst predatory loan
This is the worst of the worst predatory loan. I need help making this a better situation. Thank you for taking time to read my complaint. 01 I was in a bad spot and didn't have any time to get my credit in a better place before purchasing a new vehicle. I was pretty much left with no choice but to have a high interest rate loan with SKOPOS Financial. I purchased a 2013 Honda Pilot with 98 thousand miles on it. The interest rate is a daunting 23.99%. From the very beginning of the loan I had a hard time paying it seeing as though the loan was $540 per month. A few times I got behind and although the company allowed me to add 3 payments to the back of my loan I just can't afford it. I had plans to refinance the loan to get a lower interest rate but I couldn't because the late payments kept my credit score down. I started working diligently on my credit April and that's when I started doing extensive research into my automobile loan and I realized that over the last 2 1/2 years I have paid $11,880 to this $20,000 auto loan and of that $11,880, only $1391.90 has been applied to the principal amount. $10,488.10 has been applied to the interest. According to my online account I still owe $15,000 in interest on top of still owing $18,774.87 on the principal balance. I have spoken with quite a few agents at SKOPOS and no one can seem to help me somehow get out of this loan. I have tried multiple times. I went as far as trying to go through *** Tree and my Credit Union to refinance the loan. The car is currently worth only $6,500. I've taken it to about 9 different car dealerships to try to get from under this loan with no luck. No one will take on the negative equity. It was suggested to me to voluntarily give my car back and try to hurry and find something before it shows up on my credit report. I am at a stage in my life where I am diligently working on my credit and I don't want to ruin my credit by going about this the wrong way. I need help getting away from this company. I take full responsibility for having a few late payments. I am correcting my mistakes. At this rate I will NEVER finish paying off this auto loan. Account #XXXXXXXXXXX

Representative gave me incorrect information that caused a 30 day late on my report I spoke with an Arturia on March 19 to request a deferment
Representative gave me incorrect information that caused a 30 day late on my report I spoke with an Arturia on March 19 to request a deferment on my account with Skopos Financial. She said that they have a backlog of people requesting this due to the pandemic. She advised me that I used the 8 deferments allotted within my loan term but she would request a special extension for me. I ask her because it may take 2 weeks for someone to get back to me regarding the deferment, will I be reported late in the process if it goes into April without a decision. She said NO but to be on the lookout via email or phone for a response. I called back several times in March before the month ended and asked the same questions to other reps and they also said I would not be reported late. When April came I got a 30 day late on my report. I spoke with a manager and other reps. The manager stated that she will have a C level employee contact me and she will be trying to get this removed. When I did not get a call back I spoke with the credit department who basically said sorry but not sorry. I explain that her reps are the ones who said I would not be reported late. She said she will speak to them and that is a training issue but she will not change the reporting. I asked if she could review the calls and she said NO. I ask her so I am being punished because your reps gave me incorrect information. She stated yes! I contacted Skopos numerous times in March and April about this matter so that it can be resolved. I spoke with a few people who said they will help to correct the information but never received a call back. I am out of work due to the pandemic and did not start receiving unemployment until May. I also had an increase in food cost and had to get technology in my home, to homeschool my child. Skopos knew that and was very sympathetic when I requested the deferment but now I can not find no one to help me. My account# is XXXXXXXXXXX. Please help me resolve this with this predatory lender that I have. I tried written disputes and verbal disputes. The credit department told me they do not care if their rep is giving incorrect information that they will still report as is.

Skopos Financial continues to report false information to all 3 credit bureaus on an account that was closed in 2016
Skopos Financial continues to report false information to all 3 credit bureaus on an account that was closed in 2016. June, I obtained an auto loan through Skopos financial. In March the account was closed due to the vehicle being traded in. I received a check from Skopos for an amount that I had over paid unbeknownst to me after the account was closed in March. Two months later I received a notice that I was late on a car payment from Skopos Financial company. I spoke with someone who to remind them that I no longer had the vehicle and the account I had with their company was closed two months ago. The representative apologized and stated that she would update the file. Here it is 2020 and after several disputes, Skopos still continues to support inaccurate and false information to all three credit bureaus on an account that has been closed for years. I have reached out to Skopos on several occasions in order to have the account removed or even updated to reflect the correct information. But to no available I have been unsuccessful. Even with my most recent attempt to rectify the issue with the company in their false reporting, I sent in a certified letter requesting them to verifying all information that they have pertaining to the account in question. A month has went by and I have yet to receive a call or response in the mail to my certified letter. I find it to be very sketchy that this company can continue to report inaccurate and false information to all three credit bureaus but will not and have not responded to my attempts to make contact by mail (for paper trail purposes). Every time I dispute the account it comes back as verified, which would make sense because at one point it was my account. But due to the fact that this account has been closed for about 5 years now, it should be a crime for this company to continue to report as if the account is open and active. I have read the multiple claims against this business and I believe everyone of them. This company has clearly been taking advantage of people and during a time as such, I can no longer sit back and be taken advantage of. This is unjust and flat out deceptive practices that this company has been engaging in. I implore that this company be held responsible and that all of the inaccurate updates be removed that they have been providing to all 3 credit bureaus. I have attached a copy of the certified mailing receipt that was sent over a month ago and have yet to receive a response. It has been over 30 days and this company just reported to the bureaus 5 days ago. Completely ignoring my request.

"I have sent various affirmed mail letters mentioning endorsement and the technique for how they supported different misleading and hazardous things on my credit report and have not gotten back anything in over 35 days for these records that are clearly misguided and counterfeit records. This credit authority is overlooking the law and taking advantage of me and this has caused a significant load on my life. The most recent ensured letter I sent was 12/20/2022. I have added the FTC I recorded which transported off them. I DEMAND that all of the things are deleted and if the move isn't made I will sue in little cases court in my city and the association should come and address themselves."
