SkyMall Holdings useless customer service

I placed my order 08/01, the money from my card was immediately charged. And still there's no update, even though today is august 22nd. When I call them they constantly say the same: we'll contact you after writing to the store. But there's still no calling back. I have no idea what exactly took them so long and why they can't resolve it. I bet they just don't care and never did.

SkyMall Holdings merchandise not delivered & poor customer service

On July 12, I placed an order for 3 items and only got one. I have made multiple phone calls and talked to several agents from customer service. I still have yet to receive the rest of my order. My complaint has been passed from agent to agent, supervisor to supervisor. I have a Case # that by now must be as big as an encyclopedia. My last phone call was on 9/21 and the agent told me that I will hear from them in 24 hours. Is 9/23 and nothing from them. I am tired of been feed the same lines all the time. Will never buy anything else from them. I guess that my next move will have to be contacting their president or upper management, maybe they will able to bring a solution to my problem. All I want is the stuff that I paid for.

SkyMall Holdings poor customer service

SkyMall has the worst customer service ever. I ordered a clock Dec 17, 2010. 4 weeks later I still do not have it. After several emails and several calls I told the skymall representative to cancel the order on 14 Jan 2011. Yes, that is a full month after I ordered it! On Jan 15 I get a voicemail saying they shipped the clock. So I call skymall again today and I am told… wait until the clock gets there (3-5 business days or more), refuse the package and send back (3-5 business days or more), wait for vendor to contact you (3-5 business days or never), and THEN you will return my money (3-5 business days). WOW REALLY?

Note I wrote to Skymall follows:

Rating -1O - worst customer service ever. I ordered a clock Dec 17, 2010. 4 weeks later I still do not have it. After several emails and several calls I told the representative to cancel the order on 14 Jan 2011. Yes, that is a full month after I ordered it! On Jan 15 I get a voicemail saying they shipped the clock. So I call you again today and I am told... wait until the clock gets there (3-5 business days or more), refuse the package and send back (3-5 business days or more), wait for vendor to contact you (3-5 business days or never), and THEN you will return my money (3-5 business days). WOW REALLY? Although the reps were nice, especially considering how totally frustrated and pissed off I was...the customer service protocols suck big time. Not only did you basically re-order the clock after I canceled it (I am pretty sure that is illegal), but you've had my money for over a month. The clock was for CHRISTMAS! It is now Martin Luther King Day...whole different holiday...I would really appreciate it if you would just man-up, admit you all screwed up and SEND BACK MY MONEY THEN deal with the vendor yourself.

SkyMall Holdings rip off

Warning to all my friends and friends of friends; please pass this along. I ordered a product from Hammacher-Schlemmer (from SkyMall) in early December 2010. They said it would be shipped Dec. 8. On Dec. 23 they sent a postcard saying that the item was out of stock so they would not ship until Dec. 13 (yes, the postcard was 10 days late or more). I called to find out if the package had shipped and they said it had. I verified the address for the shipment which is my friend in China. I thought everything was fine until today when they called and told me the package was abandoned by UPS because UPS couldn't find the address. Furthermore, they were not refunding my money and I could order the same thing again (###s!). I called them and spoke to 3 different levels of management but all said the same, no refund, take it up with the credit card company. Please BOYCOTT HAMMACHER_SCHLEMMER and tell your friends the same.

NEVER and I mean NEVER order anything from SkyMall. Placed my order and that's when the nightmare started. They have lied, sent out bogus tracking numbers, and I'm so sick of hearing "7-10 working days." After I get done venting about SkyMall my next move is to contact my credit card provider and dispute the charge. They got their money and I got squat.

SkyMall Holdings do not stand behind their sales

DO NOT buy from Skymall if you even think you might have to return something. OMG ! I bought a hard drive which was supposed to backup multiple PC at the same time - it did not. After a week I am still trying to return it - Skymall at first told me I had to deal with Tiger Direct - TD had no record of my order. I finally (after 4 tries) got a supervisor who told me they would write to Tiger Direct to order an RMA and it would take 3-5 business days - then, and only then could I sent it back. so this saga is ongoing.

I also bought a Philips phone (which you cannot put on hold from the desk unit) and was told I had to send it back to Frontgate - this saga also continues.

I have realized Skymall catalog is fun to look at but DO NOT buy anything from it. you will get frustrated as soon as you purchase it if, for some reason, you have to return it because it does not live up to the hype in Skymall.

I agree 100%... I would never buy from them, even with the discount they are offering us airline employees. Wait until you land and buy the same thing at Brookstone for the same amount of money.

SkyMall Holdings very slow shipping

I ordered an item online from Skymall.com December 10th for a Christmas present for my oldest son. I received an estimated delivery date of December 22nd which would be in time for Christmas. I called Skymall December 18th because I had not received a confirmation of shipping. I was told December 22nd was only an estimate and they had no way of assuring it would get there before Christmas. I received an email that the item shipped December 19th. Today is January 2nd and it still has not arrived. I called to question it only to find out the new estimated delivery date is January 6th which is almost a month from the original order date. There was no explanation as to why it took so long nor an apology. I will never order from them again and would advise others not to as well.

SkyMall Holdings they are both scammers

UMG Buyers Edge and Sky Mall Magazine are in this together. I found out that Sky Mall was the company that told UMG to put me on their Buyers Edge program. I never told them to do this and they never mentioned to me a company called Buyers Edge.

What ###.

And people wonder why someone comes into their place of work and starts shooting people.

Its obvious, they just do this as long as they can until people see the fraudulent charges on their statements.

UMG just told me today on the phone that they will be removing two charges of $14.95.

If they don't...they will be MUCH MORE than sorry, I DO NOT put up with this ***.

SkyMall signed me up for a UMG Buyers Edge Membership in Decemeber 2009 and I have been charged $15.95 for 19 months. The recurring payment looks like many of my legitamte automatic payments. Do not buy from SkyMall they will rip you off. Read more online about UMG and Skymall.

SkyMall Holdings do not stay behind their service and products!

11/22/07: on a USAirways flight I placed an order through SkyMall. Flight attendant said I had to fill out a paper form on board, which I did. I was worried because I had to fill in credit card number, fold over the paper and seal a tab, which left the sides open to view if someone were interested. She assured me that all would be OK, done all the time, etc. she would put the order in a 'locked box' and then SkyMall would receive it, and send out a confirmation email immediately.

11/26/07: called Sky Mall to ask where is email? A customer service rep told me that they haven't received the order yet from USAirways, that sometimes it takes THREE WEEKS for someone to go to the 'locked box' to retrieve the orders. He said he'd check and call me back that afternoon. (No one called.)

11/29/07: called Sky Mall. 'Your call will be answered in approximately 17 minutes.' I hung up.

12/05/07: called SkyMall. Told rep I wanted to cancel order. She replied that there WAS NO order yet to cancel! I asked to speak to someone else. She said she'd be glad to transfer me, but the wait time would be 82 minutes!

12/06/07: I received an email confirmation of the order! As if that weren't enough, SkyMall had not honored the promotion that the catalog had pitched, which was $30 off ANY item over $100. They charged my credit card for the full price, plus tax, plus special shipping charge ($184.79)! I immediately called and said please cancel - do not ship. The rep said OK, he would try. (He told me the discount didn't apply to that particular item.)

12/07/07: I received email that the order had been shipped! I called immediately to protest again. The rep told me I should refuse delivery of the item, and return it directly to the vendor, who would issue a credit through SkyMall. I sent item back.

01/19/08: Received email acknowledging receipt of the item, saying: 'Thank you for shopping with SkyMall. Our records indicate that the item listed below was returned and acknowledgment of the return was received from the Merchant on Sat, Jan 19, 2008. A credit for this return is being processed. If you purchased by credit card, the full merchandise amount will be credited to your card within 3-5 business days. '

01/31/08: Eight business days later I called. The rep told me that the accounting department had made a mistake. She would submit info to them again. The amount was not what I expected. She told me I had to pay original shipping charge! Said I should wait 3 to 5 more business days.

02/11/08: No refund yet. Called and rep said it was being processed, they only have a couple of people in the billing department, they are doing the best they can. She said I should check again in 3-4 days.

02/18/08: Another week has passed. I called and asked to speak with someone with authority to do something. I was transferred to another rep who gave me the run-around again. She insisted that it could take TWO BUSINESS CYCLES, 30-60 days, more to show up on my account! When I questioned the validity of this preposterous idea she became testy. She was trying to tell me that even if they submitted the credit, my credit card company might not post it to my account for another 'one or two billing cycles'!

Either they are astonishingly ignorant or astonishingly arrogant to think a person would believe that. This isn't the old days when you had to wait for a paper credit card statement to arrive by mail. With online access to your account you can of course see the date the charge is submitted.

The last time I was in an airplane I took out the SkyMall catalog and wrote warnings all over their pages. It's not satisfying enough.

I had a similar experience. Several items never arrived, one came badly damaged, and skymall did little more than make polite excuses. I'll never use them again.
