I had Slab Masters of Ohio come out to fix my front step on July 21. They were supposed to level and raise it, and also remove the green turf carpet and fix a crack. When I got home from work that day, the green turf was still there and the job was poorly done. They messed up the siding, messed up the asphalt driveway, and caused damage to the door framing. They also did a bad job of leveling the concrete. When I complained, they refused to pay for the damages and just wanted to walk away. They never told me about any of this beforehand and I never signed anything.

I paid Slabmasters of Ohio $1200 on April 12 to level my porch. But now, my porch is even more unlevel than before. It's pulling away from the house and there are gaps on both sides. They came back to patch it up, but it looks like a quick fix. When I told the owner about my concerns, he said that the porch wasn't sitting on a proper footer and wouldn't have been leveled anyway. So, why did they agree to do the job? They gave me a $200 discount from the original quote of $1400, but I'm still not happy. Their company name has "concrete leveling" in it, but my porch is worse off now.

Slab Masters of Ohio gave us an estimate on 8/10/22 for leveling our driveway and sidewalk. They did the work on 8/30/22 and we paid them $1,475.00. But later we found out that the downspouts weren't draining properly. We found out that they had drilled a hole in the downspout pipe under the concrete driveway. The PVC pipe was filled with slab jacking material, which stopped the water from draining through the downspout. We had to spend $1,245.00 to fix this problem, including camera diagnosis of clog, demolition of concrete driveway section, replacement of damaged downspout pipe, and jet flush. We will also have to spend more money to replace the driveway concrete in Spring 2023. When we talked to Slab Masters staff, we told them we were worried about drilling holes in the concrete near the downspouts. They said it wouldn't be a problem, so we trusted them. We called Slab Masters twice after the work was done, but they haven't contacted us back. We think they should pay for the expenses we had to pay to fix the problem they created. We think they have an ethical responsibility to fix the problem they created.
